This is a hidden gem located in the north side of Boulder. The food is amazing and very well priced. Pictured is Chicken Pad Thai and Cashew Nut dishes - some of the best Pad Thai I've had in recent memory. Very friendly and easy going staff. Highly recommend this restaurant for a nice quaint meal Lots of parking

Google
Thai cuisine has always been my culinary preference, and Buddha Thai stands unrivaled among the establishments I’ve visited. The flavors here are exquisite, elevated further by impeccable service and an inviting, thoughtfully designed seating area. It’s rare for a restaurant to leave such a lasting impression, but Buddha Thai has certainly earned a place among my favorites—I look forward to returning often.

Google
I went out with the family and brought them to this place. The food was delicious a little spicy but the right amount of spice! I ordered the Buddha fried rice with seafood mix and that was exquisite!

Google
Not sure if the bad reviews are just bored people or what. The papaya salad is almost as good as we’ve had in Thailand! The service is exceptional and fast with fantastic attention to customer preference and satisfaction. People that leave nasty reviews with derogatory comments about food instead of leaving a kind but dissatisfied review. Find something better to do with your time! If you want good Thai food and great service at a VERY affordable price, I recommend Buddha Thai! Cheers

Google
My wife and I have been coming here for years, Buddha Thai is our favorite Thai restaurant in Boulder! The food is delicious and the portions are generous. They cater to our differing spice preferences. Tons of vegetarian options. The staff is kind and keep everything clean. It is the restaurant we can always agree on. Try the Buddha noodles, or the green curry!

I really enjoyed the food here it was made fresh and came out piping hot. The people are also very nice and welcoming with a clean and comfortable atmosphere. I’ve eaten at a few Thai restaurants in Boulder and this one is the best.

Google
We were looking for a Thai restaurant on our way from a long hike. We randomly came across this place and it turned out to be great. We really liked the food. They weren’t messing around with the spiciness as well. The staff was very friendly and respective.

Google
This is actually my favorite thai restaurant. But lately I've seen some inconsistencies with the food I've ordered and it's frustrating. I am rarely in boulder but when I come foe work I always stop in. I usually get the golden bags and buddah fried rice. I came across few months ago and there were no pineapples in the buddah dried rice. It really changed the flavor and I was unimpressed and bummed. Yesterday I ordered the same dish and it had no cashews in it again, I was disappointed. I can understand rynning out of items but that should be communicated so we as consumers can decide if we still want it. Also when ordering the golden bags, they were cold in the middle. I am hoping for a better experience next time...

Yelp
This is not Thai food. The drunken noodles (pad kee mao) was cooked with ketchup. Slathered in red sauce. Nearly edible

Yelp
Staff was great at knowing what was vegan Curries were great. Good flavors The fried tofu was a little too chewy but was still good
google avatar

Amanda L.

Yelp
Love the food! We're vegan and they're super accomodating when you want the drunken noodle without fish sauce or egg and they recommend the yellow curry which is delicious! I love takeout here.

Logan K.

Yelp
The Pad See Yew was the most flavorless dish I've had in a while. The noodles were not the typical style for this type of dish - they were much narrower than the standard wide noodle - and they tasted expired. There were also hardly any vegetables in the dish. I would not recommend this restaurant and would definitely not order from here again.

Yelp
Ate here a couple times on this last trip. The staff are so down to earth and kind, which is a real refreshing in Boulder. Thai Green Curry and Papaya salad were great. Too funny how people get all bent out of shape because the food isn't exactly like it is in Thailand... Yes ive been to Thailand. If you want a good all around experience, this is a great place.

Yelp
Fantastic food! Very affordable and the service and an exceptional! Best papaya salad since my Thailand trip!

Yelp
I'm sorry but that wasn't traditional drunken noodles :(((( I appreciate there effort but please get the proper broad noodles.

Yelp
Definitely recommend the Buddha Chow Mein and the sweet tapioca dessert! Always quick, always delicious
google avatar

Tana R.

Yelp
This is a standby order for us. We pick up every few weeks the Buddha chow mein and love it. With leftovers we add extra egg in the morning. Staff is always nice when we arrive and smiling!

Yelp
I liked the food there. The fried rice was good. The food took a while to come out but everyone were friendly. Not a fan of the shrimps but a great dish!

Yelp
This Review is extensively overdue. This is By Far, my Favorite Thai Place in Boulder! My favorite Dish is the Red Curry, and have try a number of meals. My partner & I cannot deny. It's the best! As I write this we are in ecstasy of just how amazing there cooking is. Over & over again! ~ We have tryed others in the area, but over the last few years we always come back to Buddha Thai. Please continue to do what you guys do best! Blessing!!

Yelp
ordered for pick up and waited 30 minutes for my food. had pad thai with chicken and extra steak and there was not enough extra meat. i also had yellow curry and the curry was pretty spicy even thought i asked for mild. however, there's a lot of curry that came with especially for the price. just wish the wait wasn't so so long and the curry wasn't so spicy. would come here again!

Yelp
Dear people of Boulder, This is not good Thai food. In fact, it's not even close to being authentic Thai food. Please take a trip to Thailand or NYC or San Francisco to have some delicious Asian food. How this place has good reviews just reflects on the lack of knowledge about what Thai should taste like. I ordered the Phad Thai (more like Bad Thai) and the appetizer sampler. I don't think the Phad Thai had fish sauce in it which is possibly why it didn't taste right. I think I detected tomato paste? Anyway, it was terrible. The appetizer assortment came with four sauces that just left my mouth confused as two of them were bland and indistinguishable from one another. The peanut sauce was ok with the chicken sate and the crab Rangoon was ok. The spring rolls were soggy and bland and whatever the little pastry bags were filled with is a mystery. I don't wish ill on this restaurant. I hope they continue to be as crowded as they were when I stopped by and that they have continued success. The staff was very nice. I just won't be returning there ever.

Yelp
My family went here the other day for lunch and I'm so glad we did! I don't know why this place has such bad reviews because I think that the food here was incredible. We tried many many items including: papaya salad, lamb salad with tofu and chicken, pad woon sen, drunken noodles, Panang curry, And a few other dishes. Everything was so good! I would 100% come here again. The food had so much flavor and didn't feel overly greasy and fattening like some thai food places are. I highly recommend getting food from here. Give this place a chance, it will be worth your money!

Tom P.

Yelp
I love the Drunken Noodles. It has a delicious sauce and the heat at a 4 or 5 is just right!

Terry W.

Yelp
Food was horrible. Pad Thai tasted more like spaghetti and the dumplings were inedible. Will never order from here again.

Yelp
I have to say, for a Thai place I'm surprised to find such a neat little spot not too far away. I love Pad Thai so of course I had to try it the first time I came, I asked for extra peanuts. If I was honest, its like any normal pad thai, but the thing I truly did not like was the size of the green onions, they were slimy and gross. I just removed them. The second time I ordered to-go at this place and again did the Pad Thai, this time I requested glass noodles, no green onions, and extra peanuts. Most restaurants never look at your comments. Safe to say, I was IMPRESSED by it. They listened to all my comments for the Pad Thai. In the second round I also ordered the super combo appetizer, I asked for extra peanut sauce and that request was denied. I got 4 different sauces and I didn't care for 2/4 of them. In the super appetizer you get: -Crispy Sacks: they are okay...rather have french fries -Crab Rangoons: delicious! -Eggrolls: yummy and crunchy -Chicken Satay: its pretty dry, but if you put enough peanut sauce its not too bad. Overall I'm loving this place even though its a tad farther than Aloy Thai. (ps if you ask for Glass noodles at Aloy Thai they will deny the request, but if you request extra peanut sauce they will give it fo you) If you asked me to chose my favorite Thai place in Boulder, it would be Buddah Thai.

Yelp
These guys are consistent and always reliable. Very friendly staff, and always provide excellent food and service.

Yelp
Over 3 visits in one week we had: Tom Yum Soup, a Buddha Bowl, Chicken Satay w/ Peanut sauce, Ginger Bowl, Steamed Dumplings, Red Curry (2,) & Tofu w/ Peanut sauce - all delicious! Service was prompt, friendly, & informative. Ambiance is in the charming "whole in the wall" category w/ a fast moving kitchen.

Yelp
We eat here every week, either dining in or takeaway. Their pad Thai is delicious and we love their special Thai fried rice. It is full of chicken, prawns (aka shrimp), snow peas, carrots & pineapple. We always get the no.3 spice level. The flavor is superb. We also love their veggie spring rolls. Nice crunchy & packed with veggies. All the servings are very generous sizes. The staff are super nice.

Yelp
It's safe to say that Boulder, Colorado does Thai right. This place is somewhat tucked away among several shops and businesses. We were only able to find it because of my ability to spot random restaurants while driving. We visited during their lunch rush so it was a built busy but they handled the rush very well. The amount of people inside was a good sign. Sometimes that lets you know if the food is good or not. The first thing we were given was some type of sweet and sour bone broth. I honestly am clueless as to what it was but it was delicious. The menu was somewhat limited compared to most Thai restaurants but they had the basics. I ordered Pad See Ewey because it sounded delicious. Pan fried noodles with chicken and broccoli and carrots and a bunch of other deliciousness. It was a really great a dish and if I'm ever in Boulder again, I'll definitely stop in!

Yelp
STANDARDS vs. SATISFACTION? I really want to give this place 5 stars because the favors are amazing. However, on several occasions I have been disappointed with my order. Yesterday, I ordered Vegetable Panang Curry for carry out and drove home (about 30 minutes) only to find the order was mostly broth with very little veggies (in my opinion). My wife agreed - she actually thought I ordered soup! When I called them today to inquire they were not very nice about the situation. The man I spoke with insisted they "have standards" and that if I wasn't satisfied I should go some where else! Anyone have any suggestions?

Yelp
Food was too salty. Dining room open to the kitchen was smelly. Would not come back.

Mia B.

Yelp
This place is not it. Got three orders of pad thai, fried rice, and spring rolls. Only thing that was remotely okay was the fried rice. The pad thai is literally spaghetti and meatballs. It has such a strong tomato flavor with little to no other spices. They don't even use the typical pad thai noodle; these were way thicker. Bland and bad. Oh, and I almost forgot. There was a rotting lime slice (could have been a lemon no way to tell) on top of one of the pad thais. Not pictured because we threw it out.
google avatar

Tara G.

Yelp
I ordered a mild red curry and it came back super spicy and inedible. When I want something mild I want it without much spice.
google avatar

Karen M.

Yelp
Good food! Spiced mild to hot per guest taste - Fast service. Nice outdoor space to eat in

Yelp
My go-to Thai place in Boulder! The Pad Thai with pork is a must have, as well as the Buddha Golden Bags... always so yum.

Daniel L.

Yelp
My favorite Thai place in Boulder. Great good, service, and prices. Just an all-around excellent restaurant.

Jeffy M.

Yelp
I love that a previous review was to go to Thailand or San Francisco for authentic Thai food. Great stuff LOL. I'm a sucker for the Buddha Fried Rice. Absolutely wonderful. They have a scale from 1-5 for spiciness and are very consistent. Would and do recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious:) we ordered for it to be delivered since my roommates and I are working from home now. It was delivered a few minutes early and the food was great! I got the massaman curry with tofu and a Thai iced coffee. My roommates got drunken noodles with chicken and we were all very satisfied and very full. Portions are pretty large we all have left overs. Only thing I didn't love was that the tofu wasn't fried, I think that would've been just perfect.

Yelp
I love *the food* at Buddha Thai, but service is consistently awful - and BEWARE if you have a peanut allergy!!! Although I adore the food and have been eating there for years, we recently ordered takeout and received the wrong order -- some awful plain PEANUT dish that is not on the menu, dry noodles with peanuts, chicken and lime. It was inedible and I unfortunately went hungry rather than eat that awful food, since we live all the way up in the mountains and had checked the receipt when we picked up the order, not realizing of course we had received the wrong food. When we called to let them know of the error, they did not apologize but said "maybe there was an error" and just said they could credit us for next time (we had paid cash and tipped generously as always). It's sos dangerous to erroneously give out peanuts--what if we had been deadly allergic to peanuts?? Honestly I love the food but half the time we go there, the service is so appalling we swear it off for months at a time. Be careful if you have a peanut allergy!!

Yelp
Best Thai in Boulder is what I was told and this place definitely lived up to my expectations but fell a tiny bit short on some things. Beer: $4 for some Boulder Beer- Buffalo Gold which is a nice pairing with spicy Thai food and $4.25 for domestic beer- great deal! Appetizers: We ordered the Combo Appetizer which had chicken satay, Rangoon, and egg rolls. Very tasty appetizer and we loved the sweet sauce that came with it! The chicken was a little different from satay that we have had in the past but it was okay- not my favorite choice. Pad Thai- I have been on the hunt for really good pad Thai since moving here about a year ago and all other places have felt short. I ordered the chicken pad Thai level 3 out of 5 on how spicy I wanted it to be. The spice was right on- perfect! Did make me sweat though but it was really good. My only complaint is that the noodles were a little bit over cooked. I don't like when the noodles are a bit mushy but overall this was really good pad Thai. Overall this place is great! Staff was super friendly and accommodating but sometimes we were confused on who our server was because there were multiple people coming to our table to get our order- a little bit unorganized but it was a Friday night and it was busy. The portions are huge so either split with someone or ready to have lots of yummy leftovers! The food is delicious and we really enjoyed our time here. Can't wait to come back and try the curry and other dishes.

Yelp
Found this place while waiting for a table at Tangerine in that plaza off of Iris Ave. While the interior is not much to look at this place does deliver on the Thai food. The strength of this place include cheap prices, large portions, quick service, and decent quality food to match it. I ordered a Thai Ice tea, which had the right portion of milk with the sweet tea. In addition, I ordered the green curry with chicken starting off with the Thom yum soup. The soup should be a mix of sweet, sour, and hotness. It was heavy on the sweetness while the other 2 lacked. The green curry was good and to the level of medium spiciness which is what I like. There could have been a little bit more fish sauce added because the coconut milk was a little too overpowering. Save for the minor deviations from traditional Thai food I felt this place did their job.
google avatar

Nina W.

Yelp
I ordered drunken noodles and the fried wontons - both were tasty. The online order option didn't offer a spice level for the noodles, so they weren't that spicy. I was fine with it though. Speedy delivery!
google avatar

Dan M.

Yelp
Quality of ingredients are good and the papyrus salad is great. But the pad Thai tasted like ketchup and pad see ew was missing depth.
google avatar

Malavika S.

Yelp
OMG!! The Green curry here is AMAZING! The food was delivered piping hot, with good quantity of rice and curry but they forgot cutlery (not a big deal, but I was in a hotel room with no access to silverware) The curry was thick in consistency unlike many other Thai restaurants and tasted delicious. The vegetables were cooked to perfection and spice level was on point. Perfect quantity for two, but too much for one. Highly recommended Thai restaurant in Boulder area.

Mandy L.

Yelp
Don't waste your money! The drunken noodle is the most disgusting thing we've ever tasted. It was super sweet, stir fried with a ketchup sauce, rice noodles were undercooked and had no hint of any Basil flavor. That is not how drunken noodles are supposed to be made.

Mario G.

Yelp
Terrible service, and subpar food. The Tom Kha soup taste like the majority of the ingredients were expired. The service was terrible. The waitress didn't even check once to see if anything was needed, or good. I wouldn't return to this establishment.

Tonya J.

Yelp
Never disappoints. Everything I have ordered has been wonderful. The Buddha dish is my fave!
google avatar

Chase F.

Yelp
I ordered the pad Thai and it was bland and missing...something. The umami wasn't there. My SO got the yellow curry and it was actually pretty good with flavor and spice. The Thai tea also was a bit weak in flavor, tasted watered down. I'm new to Boulder, but Denver has some fire Thai places and this place in Boulder was meh, probably won't go back.
google avatar

Kristen B.

Yelp
After many recommendations, I chose to order Thai food from here! Not one person had a negative thing to say about this restaurant - it definitely lived up to the hype. I ordered to-go food through Hungry Buffs and, as takeout delivery normally goes, I expected it not to be quite as good as it would have been if I were to have dined in. I was wrong. I admit it shamelessly. The food was delivered piping hot and I had to wait for it to cool. I ordered drunken noodles with chicken and it was delicious! It cost about $11. I was a little uncertain because most of their prices seemed a little steep, but upon delivery, I saw that their portions were HUGE. I ate that Thai food for lunch for three days and loved Every. Single. Bit. Hats off to Buddha Thai!
google avatar

Michael H.

Yelp
I really enjoy this restaurant. The staff is friendly and the food is tasty and authentic. Pad ka Prow is one of my favorites. Order with pork and a fried egg. The papaya salad is very much like the dish is in Bangkok. The drunken noodles with or without a protein are awesome! You can also order your food Thai hot, for those of you that like real spice.
google avatar

Meishan W.

Yelp
Unfortunately when my family and I tried take out from Buddha Thai, we were not impressed. The chicken satay was so well done, it was actually difficult to get off the stick, and we ended up not eating the rest of it. The dumplings looked unappetizing as soon as we opened the container, and were absolutely tasteless. The only good part of the order was the Yellow Curry! Great spices and delicious tofu. We did encounter a very nice waiter while picking up our food as well. We wish the restaurant our best as these are challenging times, however Buddha Thai will need to improve their food drastically if they want to stay open. The food we had tonight will not cut it.
google avatar

Letitia I.

Yelp
We're located in Longmont & couldn't be more excited that Buddha Thai Cuisine is now on doordash! We ordered the Drunken Noodles extra spicy and they were so delish. All of the veggies are super fresh too. I highly recommend!

Kayla O.

Yelp
I love this place. I get the Tom Kha soup with rice noodles and spice level 3.5 every time and it's delicious. A go to haunt in Boulder for me. A note: I prefer to eat outside or get takeout. The inside is meh.
