Buddies Pizza

We picked up a pizza from Buddy's. I'm from back east, so pizza in CA is normally pretty hit or miss -usually miss. Not Buddy's, this place is the real deal! The sauce has substance, the crust has just the right amount of elasticity and is so tasty! I had a mushroom pie with olives and artichoke hearts. I'll be back to try the sausage!

Excellent Pizza even after driving home 20 minutes away and waiting another 30+ minutes doing chores at hone before eating it. Only suggestion is to use less dough on the medium so the slice can be picked up from the crust better but other than that it was great.

Greeted by the owner and the delicious smell of baking pizza. Some off the best pizza I’ve had in a long time. The crust was so good!! I cannot wait to go back

By far, the best pizza I've had in California hands down. I used to live in Michigan and have a favorite place there too, but I'm not sure if it's better than Buddy's. Very friendly staff, but man oh man, that pizza, the sauce, bellisimo!!!¡!!! Keep it up guys! Also wondering if you ever offer coupons? I'd order alot more if I lived closer but no car at the moment. Either way, great food.

We ordered the small gluten-free pizza the dough for which the owner has prepared outside the shop . We have now tried two excellent toppings which he makes himself, the Mediterranean one is our favorite. Probably the best gluten-free pizza one can find without making it at home!🧡

Buddies is our go to pizza place for our famil of four. We don’t buy pizza anywhere else anymore. The pizza is fabulous and the service is as well. We really love the owner - he is a really good person and very kind. *update - we still love Buddies and are so excited that we can now get their pizza delivered with DoorDash!!!!! 🍕

First and foremost, we found this place by accident and all I can say is we had to come for round 2 before we left town. The pizza was fresh and the ingredients were as well. The owner was friendly and even brought our pizza out to the car when it was ready. I love when you can taste the love put in a business’s food. We will be back and I told the owner that! My wife said this pizza is worth just driving out here for from where we live in the Sacramento area.

Absolutely delicious pizza, took a trip to bodega bay and on the way back saw the sign and was hungry so we stopped by. The gentleman behind the counter was super friendly. Ordered the Sebastopol special. Feta cheese, pepperoni, garlic, and olives. There is a table outside so we waited, and shorty after our pizza came along with the bread sticks. From the first bite to the last every bite was full of flavor. I will make a trip to Sebastopol just to come back to Buddies

Randomly just stopped by here and ordered the small Mediterranean pizza; wow! First of all service was awesome, funny and super quick! He came to my car within 10 minutes and was so nice. The pizza is to die for!

Great pizza, great service and FAST! They are also very community focused and offer awesome deals for kids playing LARP in the park. I'm definitely a fan.

My friend and I went to Buddies Pizza on Pleasant Hill Rd in Sebastopol last night for the first time. The pizza was great and it's now on our list. Thick crust on the outside, thin in the c. We had the Mediterranean which we really liked. The owner couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. He even brought our pizza out to our car! Sorry, no pics. ‍

The pizza was awesome and the owner was very friendly and accommodating. There was also a cute table and chairs up front.

If you like thin crust pizza with many different toppings and excellent service Buddies is the best. Call your order in & it's almost always available in 15 minutes. Try um you won't be disappointed.

This is a fabulous neighborhood pizza joint. The service is great and they always remember me even though I've only been there 3 times in the last year. It's just a counter so there's no decor to speak of but there is some outdoor seating a few doors down. This is a great spot particularly if you like big, soft dough around the edges. Great for dipping. A medium pepperoni pizza can feed me for 3 days which is saying something considering how expensive food is these days. Pro-tip: if you aren't eating it all in one sitting it freezes great and comes back fresh and tasty if you warm it back up in a cast iron pan with the lid partially on.

Buddies is a local hidden gem. The owner is nice and friendly. I personally think it makes the best pizzas in Sebastopol and I'm picky about my food! Their pizzas reminded me of the regular crust pizzas I loved while living in Chicago. Their pizzas are generously covered with toppings. The pizza crust is delicious! That's why my 2 year old grandson would always eats the pizza crust first. Their salads are huge! Their family size salad could feed 10 people as a side. I've been ordering the regular Caesar salad and sharing it with 3 adults and 1 child. Here's a tip: Since we couldn't eat the pizzas there, we would warm them up in the oven as soon as we get home so the crust would be crispy again and the cheese would be gooey.

My coworker and I came in yesterday looking for slices but ended up getting a whole pizza and this place did not disappoint! Absolutely perfect and delicious! This will definitely be my pizza go to spot when I'm in Sebastopol.

The wife and I have a Friday and Saturday night ritual. We have dinner and watch On Patrol Live. Tonight happens to fall on our 31st anniversary, so we decided to get takeout so my wife didn't red to cook. We have a local pizza place in forestville where I live, but they wouldn't answer the phone and I'm glad they didn't. Scrolling through the internet my wife saw Buddy's Pizza and we decided to try a new place. I knew right away as the gentleman answered the phone that we had a Winner. He had a sense of humor and sounded like someone that enjoys what they do. The website said they close at 9pm. It was 6:50 and he asked if we could be there in 15 minutes.. We were informed that if we weren't there in 15 minutes that he was going to eat it( there's that sense of humor I mentioned). We luckily made it in 13 minutes and were rewarded with a very good pizza!! We added pesto breadsticks and a chocolate chip pizza cookie. Really good pizza at at a reasonable price. We were very happy with what we received for the money spent. Our new pizza place!

Our only hometown pizza place to go to. Pizza is filled with flavor and ingredients are kicking. I love this place. The crust is really thin, but he back is a huge bread stick. Stick some cheese in the crust and it's perfect. It's a small little shack this place is so don't come to eat out unless it is summer or you brought your parka.

Locally owned and ran this is a staple for us. They are always pretty fast, always consistent, and quality. Other spots like Round Table have continued to go down hill for years and years. I'm so glad that we have local spots to give our business to. Intently purchased a huge order for 2 soccer teams and the owner was nice enough to carry everything to my car for me without me even asking. No real seating other than a tiny table outside so this place is really a to-go spot.

Buddies can't get the order correct: when a person is unable to eats tomatoes and asks for pesto, then is given a pizza with tomato sauce and no pesto, he would expect to get a refund. Instead he got an argument: you did not specify this pizza. Buddies cannot even do the refund correctly, he claims that he did it, but it never happened. He promised but did not do a refund, and the pizza went in the garbage. Never going there again. What an effing moron. Would give zero stars if possible.

Huge garden salad can feed 6. Nice thick crust pizza. Lots of veggie-only options. Fast service--call ahead or wait outside.

We randomly found Buddies on the way back from Dillon's Beach and what a little gem to discover! Phenomenal BBQ chicken pizza and wings, served hot fast & delicious! Rick was super friendly and even gave us free bottles of water to go with our meal. Highly recommend :)

I have no idea what they've done in the last 3 years since I discovered them. They went from "okay at least they deliver to Freestone" to "Holy cow I've never had pizza this good in my life." I've become dependent on Buddies for those nights I just don't feel like cooking (I threw a pork loin in the freezer this evening.) Every time - it just keeps getting better. I finally found the perfect combination, so that probably helps, All Meat with extra sauce extra cheese, half with pineapple and jalapeño. I swear to god if I didn't care about my weight I would eat this every night for the rest of my life. But sometimes you've gotta splurge! Tonight's highlight was the dough. I'm actually going to eat the crust this time. They did something new. It's only been a couple of weeks since I ordered, but now I'm remembering it was pretty spectacular then too. I love you Buddies. Thank you for your exquisite pizza and being willing to drive a few miles west from Sebastopol for this adoring customer. PS The delivery guys are always extremely nice and polite. And it's never more than an hour. You will be so happy.

We don't have pizza often but picked up a pizza from Buddies. Pretty good. Everything just right. Not too much or too little. I found out they deliver local too. Our pizza was so yummy. Go to Buddies for delish pizza. Cold or rainy nights stay in and have Buddies deliver Support our local business.

Went here recently and I was really disappointed. I got some pizza and wings based off reading other reviews. I went in and ordered with a young man who had hickeys literally COVERING his neck. He was VERY nice though. The place was literally trashed, I don't know who runs this place but they need to get it together. The floors were DISGUSTING piles of dirt EVERYWHERE! A ton of food containers were sitting on top of the fridge for the whole 30 minutes I ordered and waited, who knows how long all that food sat out. Over machine where wings and pizza was heated up was covered in old food with an old pizza sitting on top of it. Then 2 more teenagers came in, girl and boy obviously a couple and they just looked grungy and not clean were touching things without gloves. I was STARVING and it was late so I ate the food and it was pretty mediocre . Wings were good but I only ate one because of how grossed out I was watching them get set on a dirty conveyor belt with no tray and heated up then put on a box for me. I was pretty disgusted by the condition of the place where my food was being made and I'm pretty tempted to call the health department honestly. I want to give a star to the front desk boy, just because he was very sweet and nice despite looking very dirty . But the owner really needs to be there with these teenagers and for God's sake clean this place up. I will not be back here and I suggest looking inside of this place before you order ANY food from here.

I swear this place is almost like a hidden treasure. There are so many pizza spots in Sebastopol that I feel this one often gets looked over which is a shame for everyone else but awesome for me. Less wait time ! This pizza is not only well priced but is truly finger licking delicious from the sauce to the cheese to the fresh toppings and soft doughy crust. I highly recommend you kick your normal pizza spot to the side and give Buddies a chance.

Unfortunate how underrated this place is. It's so good. I'm usually own that doesn't eat the crust. But the fluffy crust is so good. The cheese is also amazing. The owner talked me into getting the cheesy bread as well... (honestly I didn't need much convincing) omggggg that was amazing too.... Love this place

Went in on Sunday because we got sandwiches at the deli next door and they were terrible. I was hoping to get the 2 slice lunch special but the really nice guy who was working said they didn't offer it on sundays. Thankfully we ordered a pepperoni pie because it was much better than we expected. The guy not only was really nice but he made a mean pizza and made sure we had cheese and peppers. From now on the go to pizza spot in Sebastopol is Buddies! When I was a kid the place was a dominoes and in the decades it was open they didn't make a single slice worth eating. I'm glad the pizza gods fixed it. Go local go with buddies is my new jam

One man band kind of place, granted there is not much room for sitting but the owner was very pleasant and had a great conversation. Pizza was super super yummy and I high recommend the Gyro's! Overall, if you're ever in Sebastopol and your looking for a good mom and pop shop with yummy food. Please come check out Buddies, I WILL be returning here for seconds and thirds and fourths.

Wow! What a find! Actually we stopped in at a market 3 miles West for food but they didn't do deli or such. The guy highly recommended Buddies Pizza In a strip mall at Pleasant Hill Avenue and bodega Highway. Nice guy, fast service, take out mostly. Excellent Pizza!

Buddies has been around a long time, it's become a family favorite for pizza delivery, which is super special to us, since Sebastopol has so many rural areas where delivery is impossible. Gluten free and vegetarian options are available, their fish is baked, instead of fried...delish! Gyros galore! I love the steak one if I am not feeling like pizza. I sincerely appreciate Buddies employees, especially whoever made up the chocolate pizza! I have been hoping/wishing/praying for dessert by delivery and this year I am super grateful for their newest invention! :-) Yum! It even has sprinkles and my son begs me to get one every time we order! Something else I love, they are prompt and consistent. If they say your pizza will be there within the hour, it will be there! I have a lot of favorite restaurants in Sonoma county and consistency really helps me stay in love with them! :-) Thank you buddies and everyone there! Our family appreciates you all!

Love this place - it has been our "go to" pizza place for a few years now and the new owner is outstanding. The sauce is incredible! Deliveries come piping hot and the drivers are polite. They drive to our house way out in west Sebastopol. During global pandemic times I have been extremely grateful. Thank you so much you guys!

The place is built more for takeout, but wow this is a pizza. The combo comes fully loaded with generous helpings of garden fresh ingredients and each slice feels and tastes like a pound of goodness. The crust is light and crispy with the smell of fresh baked. We added a side salad that was also fresh-tossed. Adding to this speedy baking times and friendly, quick service makes Buddies a must-stop-grab-a-slice next time you are in Sebastopol!

This is an excellent establishment, my girlfriend and I have been coming here for the last 3 or so years. Every time we get delicious pizzas. The dough and crust is so good. Better than marys and the hippzapazaa whatever the name is in town. Far better. Good size pizza, quality and good quantity of toppings, and good price. You cant beat it. This place has my business. I ordered pizza from Buddies this evening and it was by far the BEST pizza I've ever ever ever had. This is on a whole different level than any pizza I've ever eaten, seriously, it's out-of-this-world DELICIOUS!!!!!!!

I've been eating here for pretty near a decade. Besides my wife's pizza,(hence 4 in lieu of 5 stars) it's my favorite pizza place in the West county. I highly suggest the sausage and mushroom with a side of homemade ranch.

We've been going here for almost 10 years and it was amazing then but somehow it just keeps getting better. By far the best pizza in town if not Sonoma County. Always fresh ingredients and always consistent. We love pizza and have tried many restaurants in the country but Buddies is truly the best. They don't skip on toppings as you can see in the 3 topping pizza. And for people who like good ranch dressing their's is homemade and so good! Largest delivery area in Sebastopol. The owner is super friendly too. Very highly recommend.

Just went to Buddies for the first time. Got a Mediterranean pizza, added sausage. It was excellent. Very good crust, abundant fresh toppings. Loved the fresh basil. Will definitely be going back for takeout.

If you're debating which pizza place to visit in the area look no further. Buddies Pizza is hands down the best! As a pizza aficionado who answers pizza every time someone asks "if you could only bring one food with you to a deserted island", I have hopped around to every pizza place in the Sebastopol radius and Buddies never disappoints. The service is personable and the regular and GF dough are generous. Buddies GF crust is the closest to a regular crust in terms of flavor and size (none of that thin stuff that leaves you regretting shelling out the extra $$ for the accommodation!). Highly recommend!

I am so sad to report that their pizza quality has gone downhill over the past year or so. The crust has gotten cardboardy, the cheese is rubbery and tasteless, there's not enough sauce, and it's just an overall unpleasant eating experience. So disappointed since this place used to be our go-to! :(

Good, simple, tasty pizza. Nothing fancy, nothing extraordinary, just basic, filling pizza. The staff is always friendly when I go and pick up my pizza. If you live in Sebastopol, look for coupons in the valuepak you get in the mail, also they give you new ones with every order.

Great pizza with fresh ingredients! I drive all the way from Forestville for this pizza. It reminds me of the classic pizzas we used to get from Giorgio's in Healdsburg 35 years ago. Super friendly too. I've only ever tried the pizzas on the menu. But I'm looking forward to trying the Sandos and wings sometime.

I am glad they get good reviews but it was just not what I was hoping or expecting, especially for the price. The pizza's were over cooked and the crust was dark brown. The all meat pizza had very little toppings on it for being a specialty pizza. There is nothing better then left over pizza, but the next day, it really was not good at all, and the crust was not edible.

BEST CHICKEN WINGS IVE EVER HAD I have been to many restaurants that boast the quality of their chicken wings, but comparing them to buddies wouldn't even be fair. The meat is very supple and falls off the bone with a very tender bite. The meat to bone ratio is incredibly in the favor of the customer for the meat content is far more than any other chicken wing I have ever had. Deserves five stars but the pizza differs in quality a lot of the time mostly due to the young teens that seem to be there during the dinner hours. If you order a pizza when the owner is there then you are almost guaranteed a good pie! Whenever I order a pizza when one of the younger workers make it it isn't the best. Either too much seasoning on top resulting in a salty mess or ratios of cheese to sauce to meat all out of wack. Overall great food AND THE BEST WINGS, but the kids need to pay more attention on how to prepare the pies just like the boss.

In Sebastopol, this is known as "That pizza place that isn't Mombo's." The key advantage, however, is chicken wings and delivery. It's no secret Sebastopol loves their "greens" and if your a little over-baked and decide against driving, you will get your pizza munchie fix and it will be glorious. The pizza is pizza. The chicken wings would be a crime not to include in this review. I don't know if the same delivery guy is still there, but I went to school with the blonde kid in the older model maroon-darkish Lexus who delivers the pizzas, and he's a champ at getting you a pizza.

I have been going to buddies pizza for over five years now. It is my favorite place to get pizza in Sebastopol. The owner is very friendly and along with pizza you can have a bunch of variety of sides! From chicken wings to samosas to gyros. My favorite part is how soft the crust is and not too thick or thin. And there's just enough sauce, cheese and toppings. You can do take out or eat there, there are some small tables outside or you can even choose to take the pizza out to the park nearby and have a picnic!
