On the Grid : Buddy Brew

"A local husband and wife duo created Buddy Brew with a simple guiding mission: Brew Good. Do Good. Their serious passion for quality coffee has lead to the strongest cold brew in town, a favorite that fuels our late nights around the agency. But if you're more of the tea or green juice type, Buddy Brew has you covered there too. And their chili lime avocado toast is hard to beat. Beyond the food and drink, check out the paint job in the bathroom - it sounds weird, but no stone was left unturned in this shop's gorgeous interior by Oxford Design. Their patio is also dog friendly, so grab your pup and a chair at Buddy Brew for a ridiculously delicious and hip pit stop between the shops." - Spark

We were first in line to try their autumnal drink lineup! This Tampa coffee staple is one of the firsts to debut their Fall drinks this past week- and they are uniquely crafted with all those beloved Autumn flavor profiles! We tried them all! ESPRESSO, MAPLE SYRUP, WHOLE MILK, TOPPED WITH SALTED VANILLA COLD FOAM We also enjoyed a few of their 𝙎𝘾𝙍𝙐𝙈𝙋𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙐𝙎 handcrafted breaky sandwiches and a blueberry almond scone! Everything was fresh and artfully created! We were thoroughly impressed with our breakfast order! 𝙁𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙏𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙙𝙈𝙤𝙢 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙩𝙨, 𝙨𝙞𝙥𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙖 𝘽𝙖𝙮!

Good coffee and nice atmosphere in this small outlet of a coffee chain in Tampa. Seating is available indoors and outdoors but somewhat limited. This location is at beautiful Hyde Park Village. Free parking structure (3 floors) is a short walk away. Service was quick and very friendly.

This spot is always packed out! Ordered the avocado toast and I recall it being heartier in the past. We waited 30 minutes just to get our food and a spot to sit. I'm not a coffee drinker but my friend said hers was worth the wait.

Not my favorite location.. very busy, not enough people working so my drink took a long time to be ready.. then the drink just tasted watered down and the banana cold foam was very artificial in taste :( The bay to bay location is wayyyy better.

Buddy Brew is the perfect spot for coffee when you're in Hyde Park. The line can be long, so try mobile ordering through the Buddy Brew website! Instead of standing in line, you can relax at one of the patio tables, or grab a sweet treat nearby. Pictured: Triple iced mocha latte with oat milk

Always busy and worth the wait. With a good selection of flavorful pastries, today's orange cranberry scone was perfection. Cappuccinos and oat milk lattes, prepared exceptionally well. I definitely recommend this place.

I love Buddy Brew, especially the Hyde Park location, which has great food and excellent service. However, when I visited for coffee recently, the store was over 90 degrees. This is not just a one time occurrence either, the location has been uncomfortably hot for nearly 2 months now. On top of that, the bathroom has been out of service for the past week or two. Its a real shame because Buddy Brew has been my go to location for as long as I can remember, but this location needs some serious maintenance before I consider coming back.

I really want to love Buddy Brew, but the Hyde Park location keeps letting me down—from the burnt edges of the matcha cookie and especially when it comes to their cold foam. It’s consistently more like cold milk than actual foam, which totally changes the drink’s texture and flavor. It’s disappointing because when I go to the Bay to Bay location, the cold foam is always perfect. I wish the Hyde Park location could match the consistency and quality I get at the Bay to Bay location, because I love the brand overall.
