On the Grid : Buddy Brew

"A local husband and wife duo created Buddy Brew with a simple guiding mission: Brew Good. Do Good. Their serious passion for quality coffee has lead to the strongest cold brew in town, a favorite that fuels our late nights around the agency. But if you're more of the tea or green juice type, Buddy Brew has you covered there too. And their chili lime avocado toast is hard to beat. Beyond the food and drink, check out the paint job in the bathroom - it sounds weird, but no stone was left unturned in this shop's gorgeous interior by Oxford Design. Their patio is also dog friendly, so grab your pup and a chair at Buddy Brew for a ridiculously delicious and hip pit stop between the shops." - Spark

We were first in line to try their autumnal drink lineup! This Tampa coffee staple is one of the firsts to debut their Fall drinks this past week- and they are uniquely crafted with all those beloved Autumn flavor profiles! We tried them all! ESPRESSO, MAPLE SYRUP, WHOLE MILK, TOPPED WITH SALTED VANILLA COLD FOAM We also enjoyed a few of their 𝙎𝘾𝙍𝙐𝙈𝙋𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙐𝙎 handcrafted breaky sandwiches and a blueberry almond scone! Everything was fresh and artfully created! We were thoroughly impressed with our breakfast order! 𝙁𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙏𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙙𝙈𝙤𝙢 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙩𝙨, 𝙨𝙞𝙥𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙖 𝘽𝙖𝙮!

Laughably bad. $5.25 for a cold brew that was 50% milk. Could not even taste the coffee. As evidenced by the color on the two coffees pictured, it was as if we were drinking iced milk. Not worth a minute of your time. Overhyped. Much better cup of coffee at the Palihouse bar.

Buddy Brew Coffee in Hyde Park Village is hands-down the best coffee shop in Tampa – I’ve done the full tour and nothing else comes close. This Hyde Park staple on Snow Avenue has been a South Tampa go-to for years, and the moment you walk in you get why. The vibe is perfect whether you’re posting up to work, meeting friends, or just easing into a weekend. The coffee is next-level: always fresh, roasted in-house, and brewed with serious care. Their pour-overs, honey-cinnamon lattes, cold brew, and seasonal specials are some of the best coffee in Tampa, period. Food’s just as good (avocado toast and breakfast sandwiches are dangerous), and I never leave without a bag of beans for home. What really makes this place special are the people behind the bar – Devon and Lauren are absolute all-stars. Devon is lightning-fast, remembers your name and usual order, and still makes every crazy morning rush feel chill. Lauren’s the same: ridiculously skilled, super warm, and always has the perfect rec when you’re feeling adventurous. Their passion for coffee is contagious and turns a quick caffeine stop into the highlight of your day. If you’re anywhere near Hyde Park, South Tampa, or just hunting the top coffee shop in Tampa, get yourself to Buddy Brew on Snow. Locals already know – one visit and you’ll be hooked too. Already counting the hours till I’m back! ☕ #BuddyBrew #HydeParkVillage #TampaCoffee #BestCoffeeInTampa (Shout-out to Devon and Lauren for making every visit feel like coming home!)

Good coffee and nice atmosphere in this small outlet of a coffee chain in Tampa. Seating is available indoors and outdoors but somewhat limited. This location is at beautiful Hyde Park Village. Free parking structure (3 floors) is a short walk away. Service was quick and very friendly.

This spot is always packed out! Ordered the avocado toast and I recall it being heartier in the past. We waited 30 minutes just to get our food and a spot to sit. I'm not a coffee drinker but my friend said hers was worth the wait.

This coffee shop offers a relaxing atmosphere with good coffee. Outdoor seating can be a bit tricky to find, but it’s still enjoyable and entertaining. The service is decent, though it could use a bit more friendliness and less of an impersonal, cold demeanor.

I ordered a coffee in the location at CLT during a layover flight. Excellent coffee. I also bought a banana nut muffin, and it was very good, but that was the only option. I would have liked more variety in the muffin department, but I understood as it was at the airport.

Always busy and worth the wait. With a good selection of flavorful pastries, today's orange cranberry scone was perfection. Cappuccinos and oat milk lattes, prepared exceptionally well. I definitely recommend this place.
