Bud's Seafood Grille

Mushroom raviolis were good, the gravy was a bit condensed but overall I enjoyed this dish. Caesar on the side, I added lemon wedges. My friend ordered the linguine with clams. Not the best set-up; yet tasty and enjoyable once the linguine is mixed with butter sauce.

Excellent business lunch. Service, atmosphere, food was impeccable. Recommend the macadamia nut crusted Mahi Mahi. The espresso martini was perfect.

My girl had the blackend red snapper and I had the seafood combo. Her snapper was over cooked and tough. My dish was good weird calamari as they use the body and or think portion. sourdough was good. Clam chowder was OK. They didn't bring any crackers with it. I did like my fish and shrimp. The place is nice and the wait staff is very good. I went on a weekday so it wasn't busy.

Buds was clean and adequate - bland and outdated Boomer decorations. breakfast and drinks were what they should have been for the price , eggs benedict were prepared correctly and bacon tasted like bacon. The service was mediocre, with young servers only doing what they had to do with very little niceties attached. Compliments to OUR server Jade S. for her absolute mediocrity and plainness . Its Lincoln Plaza, so its the best that Stockton has to offer - but you have to remember the bar is low.

This restaurant is a must try in the city of Stockton California. I went here to try the clam chowder which is said to be the best in the area so I had to try it for myself. I thoroughly enjoyed the clam chowder there as well as the drinks from the bar which were top shelf. I also ordered the Philly steak Sandwich with fries and it was more than enough to feed 2 people if I had which to share. The place is very quaint and charming and the service was excellent. The cost for the meal was very reasonably priced especially considering the high caliber of the quality of food that was served. The only negative things I found during my visit was that the small menu card on the table was dirty and covered in a bit of food which was a little bit of a turn off. Also the straws they use for the drinks are too short for their glasses. I highly recommend you try this restaurant. You will not be sorry you did.

From the moment we walked into Buds Seafood Grill, we were impressed with the cozy ambiance and warm service. The staff was welcoming and attentive throughout our dining experience, which made us feel right at home. As for the food, everything we tried was simply fantastic. I myself had the Friday Special Cioppino & house New England clam chowder, and I must say, it was one of the most delicious seafood dishes I've ever tasted. The flavors were bold and rich, and the seafood was cooked to perfection. The clam chowder was also outstanding and creamy, making for a perfect appetizer. My lady ordered the Chicken Alfredo with a Cesar side salad, and it was equally impressive. The pasta was perfectly cooked and smothered in a flavorful Alfredo sauce, while the salad was crisp and fresh. Our kids were also delighted with their meals. They ordered the Bacon Beef burger with cheese and fries, which was huge and flavorful. They also tried the kids popcorn shrimp and fries, which they both absolutely loved. The portions at Buds Seafood Grill are huge, and the flavor is amazing. The food reminds you of an authentic fisherman’s feast meal, which adds to the overall dining experience. Overall, Buds Seafood Grill is a must-visit spot for anyone who loves seafood and enjoys a warm and inviting dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back and try more of their delicious dishes.

I had lunch here with a friend. I used to work in Stockton but had never heard of Bud's so I was excited to try it out. I only eat seafood so this was the perfect place. I got a large shrimp and crab Louie salad and a half sandwich of the crab melt (you can get any sandwich as a half or whole FYI). The Louie salad was really good, all the veggies were fresh and crisp. There was a really good portion of shrimp and crab. The crab melt is open face (no bread on the top) and it was delicious. I love and still each cheese so this is exactly what I was looking for. The service was good, our waitress was really nice and she helped me pick the sandwich. One of the other waiters chatted with us about food while we were waiting. I'll be coming back another time, especially to try the clam chowder.

It was Easter Sunday, and I was sitting at the bar when the bartender asked if I would like a drink and if I was having lunch. I ordered a beer, and she gave me a menu. However, when I was ready to order lunch, the bartender informed me that the kitchen was closed until 3 PM. I wondered why she hadn't told me that the kitchen was closed when I first sat down at the bar. I know why? Because she was gossiping with the other waitress instead of working. This happens when management y owners are not present at the business. I gave a ZERO dollars and she can shoved the beer too. Bad services all around.

Bud's in Stockton has become a family go to. Their food is always good and the service is always excellent. We went for Father's Day most recently. I ordered the shrimp and crab omelette and the blackberry cobbler. Both were really good. I will say, I saw the French toast at a table nearby and I'll definitely be getting that next time if I had one thing I would change, it would be to serve the brussel sprouts all day. I love the brussel sprouts there but we generally go for brunch. Otherwise it's always a pleasure.

Good ambience and friendly service. Food was just average, salad and clam chowder were good but rib eye steak was tough and fish overcooked.

Amongst the appetizers I saw an item labeled "mushroom bread bowl" with no other description so out of curiosity I ordered it with low expectations. However I was pleasantly surprised on how delicious and filling this item was! The mushrooms had a lovely snappy texture with no strong or fishy tastes and the gravy it was surged in was a well seasoned brown mushroom gravy that was exploding with flavor. Paired with the tangy sourdough bread it was perfect if you're looking for a small satisfying bite. Id recommend trying it to anyone!

My mom and sis had told me how much they liked eating here. I myself had not been before so I was looking forward to dining here. I came w/my mom and my husband for dinner. Our server was Mersedes and unfortunately the service was not good. She was unfriendly and unwelcoming. Her attitude was like she didn't wanna be there, and it showed. She asked if we were ready to order. We said no. The menu felt quite extensive and so I asked her what she recommended. Then, she mentioned what the special was. Usually that's mentioned at the start, and I feel if I hadn't asked for recommendations, she would not have said anything. When I asked her what sides came with the special, she was quite annoyed in her response as If I was supposed to already know the answer, and she started walking away from us!! My husband and I both got the halibut special. She didn't check on us to see that we needed water re-fills, didn't ask my mom if she wanted another glass of wine, didn't offer us dessert, and just brought us the check. lol. My mom said the service has always been great when she's come to have lunch, so she was quite shocked at how awful the service was. Now the food: -clam chowder soup: too thick for my liking. no oyster crackers were provided. but soup was okay. -Oysters, VERY small and a bit pricey. 6 for $24. - Halibut special: the fish was unseasoned, bland, and lacked flavor. My husband didn't agree w/me and said it was good. Our palates are different. lol. so it's subjective. The rice and veggies were standard. -Blackberry mojito: portion was good but a bit too sweet. Perhaps they could invest in getting longer straws for this tall cup, or changing to a shorter cup. As I got to the end, the straw was a bit too short so I couldn't finish what was at the bottom w/o bringing the cup up to my face. -dessert: can't say b/c we weren't asked if we wanted dessert!!!! She just brought us the check and walked off. Throughout dinner, my mom and I noticed another server who looked like she was enjoying her job. Her tables were near us and she frequented them. She looked cheerful, she was smiley, and just overall what you would want in a server. As we were leaving, my mom and I approached her and told her she was doing a wonderful job. She told us her name and said we should ask for her next time. We left and ended up going somewhere else for dessert. Since my mom and sis enjoy it and their past experiences have been good, I think I will return for lunch and see if that's better.

Great food!!! A bit pricey. Love to sit outside. Friendly staff especially love Pat. Bud and wife are super nice as well. I love the fried asparagus, grilled chicken, potatoes and that darn bread. Great bloody Mary's too!!

Amazing!! Dinner was great and the service was even better. I had the fish with veggies and potatoes. The fresh bread was perfect in addition to my amazing lemon drop. Can't wait to come back

Went there for lunch. The staff was friendly and fun... food was really good. I've also been there for meetings and it has a nice room for that.

Great service. Clean and bright. The outside dining area was comfortable. The weather was perfect to sit outside. We were able to sit at our table for over 2 hours visiting. The food was tasty. I had the garden scramble. There was lots of spinach, mushrooms green onions and cheese. I took home half. It was accompanied with delicious scalloped potatoes. My hubby had the smoked ham and cheese omelet. He said it was good. Brunch includes coffee cake or blueberry muffin, fruit and a 1/2 toasted bagel. We meet friends here for brunch several times a year and will be back.

Food is really good here. The atmosphere is great too. It's a little more than I want to spend on a regular day. It's a great place to go for special occasions.

Came in for the first time the other day to pick up some lunch after doing yard work in our backyard all morning. My family and I built up an appetite and Bud's has some fire rib eye sandwiches so that's what we agree'd upon. Nothing special, just your average steak, bread, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles. The staff is welcoming when you walk in, they have a seating area. The restaurant itself is pretty big, plenty of parking space, in the same lot as Podesto's. Not really sure of what else they offer to be honest. In all the times we've ordered from here we only have gotten the rib eye sandwiches. Look forward to trying something new next time we order from here.

This was our 2nd visit, but we probably won't be returning. We still can't figure out how or why this restaurant is always busy with customers. The only good entree was the Short Ribs which they only serve on Sundays. We were hugely disappointed to find that this delicious and tender item is only served 1 day out of 7 and this was the only reason we decided to come back. Bummer! :0( The Fish and Chips was a nice portion but the fish wasn't tasty. The thick cut fries were tasty and crispy on the edges when hot. This was the best part of this order. The mushroom ravioli was disappointing and tasteless. It came with a gravy like sauce. I thought it was going to be a white cream sauce. We sat outside in the front patio area, but not sure why they didn't turn on the misters despite it being much hotter than the last time we dined here. Even after asking for them to turn on the misters, they either forgot or didn't want to.

Came here for lunch w/ my family. It was the first day of lent so my parents wanted to go for some seafood. Located in Lincoln Center, nice restaurant with bar seating as well. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. My mom and I ordered the seafood alfredo, we love Alfredo pasta and it didn't disappoint. My dad had the red snapper filet and he seemed to enjoy it as well. We enjoyed our lunch, would return again.

Buds Seafood Grille is always a great pick for lunch or dinner. The food is fresh and delicious. Their wait staff is very professional and friendly. It's a cozy place to relax for a great meal.

Awesome food in an upscale yet laid back dining spot in Lincoln Village. Took my parents for a nice lunch and the food did not disappoint. Flash fried brussel sprouts, mahi mahi sandwich, pasta, and other delicacies were all on point. Thank you for a tasty lunch and courteous service.

Very middle of the road food. The waitress was nice, but the other server seemed really unhappy to be there. Also- I know some people who ordered the calamari steak from here, only to take it home and find out it was completely rancid. Order at your own risk.

I go there often and also order takeout. Very efficient restaurant. Never have to wait to order. Service is pleasant and the food is excellent. Some of the menu items I have previously ordered are the clam chowder, fish & chips and Buds Beef. All were delicious! Great wine menu. Restaurant & bar are modern and clean.

This is a solid 2 1/2 stars but I can't make half star on Yelp. The Ambiance is really nice especially in the outdoor area. We sat inside in front of s huge picture window. Fresh flowers on the table with cloth tablecloths and napkins. 4 stars Parking was ample so 5 stars Service was spotty so 2 1/2 stars. Asked for water with lemon to drink. Waitress came out with our drinks and sat them down to answer phone and take s phone order. Forgot our drinks then went back in kitchen. When she came back out I gave her a look and she went and got our drinks. We had already eaten all of the bread on the table by this time and we were very thirsty. The bread was 5 stars but I asked where the sourdough bread was from and the waitress said Genova do I will just continue to go there to get sourdough bread as I live Genova's anyways! I got the calamari steak with Parmesan... 2 and a half stars. Calamari was tough and chewy which lets me know it's over cooked. Also calamari steak was very thin. The veggies and potatoes were delicious so it gets a overall score of 2 1/2 Fish and chips for him... should say fish sticks. Super small pieces of fish with lots of batter. Very disappointing portions of fish. 2 stars. Coleslaw was good but far from great. 2.5 stars. French fries were excellent 4.5 stars. Bud's Seafood Grille is a classic spot here in Stockton. Located in my favorite area, Lincoln Center. Inside is clean and upscale. The employees all look well kept and are very efficient. My favorite food to order here is the Bud's Beef! The beef is very juicy and tender. The lunch portion is plenty! Afterwards we ordered the chocolate gelato (complimentary on your birthday). The gelato is so thick and premium! Aside from a casual lunch or dinner, Bud's has a private room for events like baby shower's or birthdays. Excellent option in Stockton for delicious food.

This was my first time here. I went with the buds medallions beef salad. This was really good. I paired it with a Cabernet. This is definitely a popular restaurant with the locals. A lot of people in there knew each other, which is always good for a local restaurant. I would like to get back and try the mahi-mahi next time

Okay, listen! This place is fire; on every level. The service and food are first cabin. I wanted the mahi-mahi, but our server, Alyssa, recommended the coconut macadamia crusted mahi-mahi with capers and spinach. I am so glad that I took her recommendation! The fish was not over breaded and that first bite was so buttery and delicious! It was perfect till the very end. It is so good it does not need the tartar sauce! My husband had the herb, crusted chicken, and that was also very good. I absolutely recommend this place! If you have not tried Bud's, check it out!

The food was good. Drinks were even better. Atmosphere was nice for the vibe we were looking for. Our waitress did a great job. Only thing I didn't like was the dirty water glasses. Overall a great experience

Went for my birthday with girlfriends, everything was wonderful! Our server was excellent and very friendly. My Mahi Mahi sandwich was delicious!

Went to Buds for my Daughter's Birthday and our Server Renee was very friendly and helpful in what they have, due to our first time there. Food was excellent and Service was exceptional. Renee was a Blessing to our Family.

I always come here to spoil myself and I always come for their steak salad! It's my absolute favorite and always rave about it to friends!

Our Easter Brunch was way below standards Our eggs Benedict was so disappointing. The yolk was hard and egg overcooked on all three of the irder. The omelette has egg shells. We mentioned our complaints to the server and she said she would have the Chris prepare eggs for us to take home. Anyway will not be going back for a while.

Went to Bud's Seafood Grille and orders take out. I had Red Snapper with fries, veggies and bread. My wife had grilled chicken and fries with veggies and bread. The food was very good and the service was wonderful. We will definitely go again. The restaurant was very clean.

The mussels or class in my cioppino were not open and likely dead, so I didn't eat them (and couldn't because they were sealed tight, even if I did want to eat too easy dead mussels). Not the greatest intro to cioppino, and it's their Friday night special! We got our order to go. The soup itself (the base) was very good. But I didn't eat much because I was afraid of getting sick. This was a "to go" order.

I've always had great dining experiences at Bud's, and today was great as well. It was my first time here for Sunday brunch, and if you order from the brunch menu, you also get fresh fruit with cream and your choice of muffins or coffee cake. My family ordered omelettes, and they said they were full of quality seafood, unlike other places that put a lot of filler ingredients and skimp on the seafood. I ordered the crab melt, and it was full of real crab. Delicious. Our server was very pleasant and attentive.

I have had some bad experiences and some good. The Buds beef is always good, always tender, always full of flavor. You can not go wrong and this is something I order every time! The problem I have is the service and the other food can be inconsistent. I go years without eating here and than will eat here again remembering that I at least enjoy the buds beef and I can always get it to go if I not up for figuring out if I enjoy the staff or not.

Ive only lived in Stockton a few years and finding good, consistent quality eateries has been a challenge. Buds is excellent. The menu is very seafood heavy but they have other fantastic options. Buds beef is great. The salads are very good and they have a very nice wine selection. And you can actually park near the restaurant. I love it.

I really enjoyed Bud's beef and ironically it tasted much like my recipe-loved the bread! The service was great and the bartender poured great drinks. The restaurant was neat and tidy.

Lovely quaint restaurant with a nice lunch menu with a variety of appetizers, salads and sandwiches. The entrance is confusing with the first set of double doors opening up to the bar and the single door with the sign "restaurant" as their main entrance. We started with the fried asparagus and for entrees: broiled red snapper with rice and vegetables, ribeye steak with French fries and vegetables, and I had the crab louie. Each seemed pretty basic and exactly as described in the menu. The ribeye steak was on the thin side so no matter how you wanted it (rare, medium, well) it would be cooked well done it was so paper thin. The crab louie was also a little light with greens, hard boiled egg, tomatoes, beets and crab meat. We ended with berry cobbler which was a huge portion with a scoop of vanilla and whip cream.

Come hungry leave full. Service is always above and beyond. They serve you bread and butter to start off with and the bread is so good and soft. Chicken Breast Alfredo is soooo creamy and tasty. My kids got the popcorn shrimp and an all American burger. The hubby got the cioppino. We were all happy with our meal choices no complaints here. The dining area has 2 sides one near the bar and the other right across. The womens bathroom was fairly clean.

Disappointing insulting response to complaint about bad seafood I picked up a half shrimp/ crab Louie on 2/11 at about 6:20 pm. At home I started eating it right away and noticed it smelled fishy and some of crab was slimy and yellowish. Plus it was a poorly made salad. I was sick with diarrhea that evening and knew it was the crab I called the restaurant on Wednesday and the woman said " that's impossible our seafood is fresh daily". She was very loud and abrupt and refused to believe the crab was spoiling. I advised her that I felt they should check the food so no one else became ill. She acted insulted and said " well I suppose you want a gift certificate for a free salad". I was insulted. She practically accused me of trying to scam a free meal! I declined and said I was not looking for a free meal. I just wanted to Keep others from getting sick on the spoiling crab This really made me mad and I won't be going back to Bud's for a long time

This was a random find when I was looking for halfway point to meet between Sacramento and Stockton. This little Gem came about and my family met up with some good friends on a Sunday around 430pm. I called and made reservations the day before to make sure we had seating guaranteed. Based off the google reviews I did some research and made sure I made it smooth and easy for everyone meeting there ! Parking is easy and plenty of it. The restaurant is located in a round shopping strip. The place was empty when we got there. Our waitress was great. We were 4 adults one toddler and one pre teen. We all arrived with our minds made up. We heard some recommendations for the fried asparagus and a few other items. The restaurant is clean and updated nicely! I noticed around 6pm a large group of seniors (who looked very sharp by the way and we're dressed really fancy) met up at various tables. This might be their Sunday spot. They were mostly nice. Some enjoyed watching us without a smile. The place is definitely an old fashioned staple wish a splash of modern life visiting. We were a very loud diverse group but had a very good experience with all the staff and people there. The food was great and so were the drinks. I would definitely return here again. We all had various plates. I had buds steak, chicken and shrimp trio - with veggies on the side. Next time I might opt for the rice option but I did enjoy the meat. Everything we got was well made. I enjoyed the free sourdough but I do wish it came warmed up. We still enjoyed all of it and not a crumb was left ! See the pictures below! We haven't been here for a few years. It was really good this time. Four of us had lunch. Service great and wait time spot on. Two of us had a cup of clam chowder. It was good and on the thick side which I like. I had the sand dabs with red potatoes and veggies. Was a lot of sand dabs and sides. My wife had the beef medallions with rice and veggies. Cooked perfect as ordered. She thought the meat was a little to sweet tasting but I liked it. Another person had scampi and rice. The last entree was a sole fish. Everyone said the taste was good. I would go back when in the area.

Was not impressed with the clam chowder. Would give it a 6 out of 10. However the crab Louie was so delicious. Service was good. We ate on the patio and love it

I have frequented this establishment for over thirty years in three locations. Tonight I am so disappointed. I called at 3:30 to order dinner and was told I needed to wait until 4:00. I did and the girl that answered the phone made me feel very rushed. I wanted to ask about the Bud's Beef Stroganoff as I had never ordered this before. Bud's Beef is an epic favorite for everyone. I thought it would be wonderful. Unfortunately, the stroganoff was an absolute disappointment. I got this meal to go. It tastes nothing like Stroganoff. I wasted $28.00 on a main meal, I am not going to eat. The service in the past has been amazing. The last few years it is so hit and miss. I rarely if ever go in now and only do take out. The dish was fat noodles some sticky and not in sauce and chunks of buds beef in some flavorless brown sauce. I did get a crab cocktail it had a few large pieces but most of it was really mashed up crabmeat. I ate it so at least I have something to sustain me. This experience has been such a let down. I suspect that It will be quite awhile before I return. I miss the way this establishment conducted itself in the past. My lifetime of memories of this place and the other favorite and flavorful entrees have never been a disappointment but rather a compliment to some of my most treasured memories. In a world of constant change and not for the better. I was always grateful that they maintained their quality but not tonight. I did give the meal to my husband and he will literally eat anything! He said I was right not a Stroganoff. He said he would clean off the beef and eat it. So all is not lost. If you go try the pots de cream. You will not be disappointed if you enjoy chocolate.

We were at the Lincoln Center in Stockton today doing some Christmas shopping and decided to grab some lunch. There are many good choices at this location but we decided on Bud's Seafood. It has been many years since we've eaten there but we had enjoyed it in the past. We ended up walking in the door to the lounge instead of restaurant and we were seated there by the bartender. He was very pleasant and provided us with great service throughout the entire meal. We both ordered a cup of chowder before lunch which was very good. I ordered the broiled prawn lunch and my wife had the sand dab lunch. Hers came with rice and sautéed veggies and mine came with fries and veggies. Both meals were prepared well and served piping hot. One of the reasons I like Bud's is the classic vibe the place gives off. Nothing super fancy just good food. I wish I could remember the bartenders name because he made the meal that much better because of the great service!

The Seafood is excellent and the service is efficient and friendly. We had some nice cocktails to start off followed by our entrees. The sauteed fresh Petrale sole and a special panko crusted Halibut in butter sauce with potatoes and fresh vegetables The fish was prepared perfectly, the portions were very large, and there was good sourdough bread to sop up the garlicky butter sauce. I always have a good meal here. It is quiet, so if you want music or something going on, this is not the place for you. But if you want great seafood, come here.

Very best Seafood in San Joaquin and Sacramento Counties. Cioppino on Friday night is to die for
