Dropped in for the Trompo fries and Margaritas. The whole place was a VIBE!!! The music, the service, the food...Reggie and Talli were amazing working the floor, speaking to customers, and making sure everyone was satisfied. Great food is always better when paired with AMAZING customer service. Thank you!

They got my order wrong twice in the same night on the same order. The birria pizza is not worth 20$ its very thin very little meat and put all the extra ingredients on top to distract you from the real thing. Literally no meat just cheesy.

The place is beautiful... The nachos were great. The tacos not so much. They added all these onions, pineapples on top of the tacos I ordered and my daughters tacos. They might want to put that stuff to the side in case we didn't see all that on the menu. We were picking at the food because we didn't want to send it back. I personally did not like the may course. I will try it one more time in case I like something else but the tacos were a NO for us. I took pictures of the food but cannot locate them. Maybe next time.

First impressions: clean, esthetically pleasing, & vibrant. Came here with a few friends and everyone enjoyed their food and drink. I got their vegan tacos and churros for dessert. It looked great, but wasn’t really pleased with the flavor profile. The churros were good and verrryyyy sweet. Definitely something to share and not order for one 😅.

Food: - Birria: 4/5 Taste was good - Pollo asado: 3/5 The chicken itself wasn’t the best, it didn’t have a lot of flavor but with salt and salsa and pickled onion it was alright - El Jefe: 2/5 The steak was really tough, it was really hard to eat - Trompo Fries: 4/5 The taste was really good, lots of flavor Sides: - Beans: 5/5 - Rice: 4/5 - Street corn: 5/5

Had no idea this restaurant existed. The staff was friendly, and I loved the laidback atmosphere. This is a place I would meet up with friends for a quick bite. I loved the dip trio. It came with salsa, guacamole, queso & tortilla chips. The frozen house margarita was salty and the worst I’ve had from any restaurant. The birria pizza with consommé doesn’t compare to other Mexican spots I’ve been to. Yet, it was pretty good and worth trying at least once.

My recent visit to Buena Vida was delightful! Starting off with a Paloma, I was impressed by the fresh flavors and the perfect level of tanginess—it was a fantastic introduction to the meal. For lunch, I chose the special that included two tacos accompanied by rice and beans. I had a chorizo breakfast taco and a shrimp taco, both of which were packed with flavor and expertly assembled. My friend ordered the three trompo tacos and rated them a 6 out of 10. While my friend enjoyed their meal, I was thoroughly pleased with my choices! The service was excellent—quick and friendly. The unique ordering system allows you to seat yourself after placing your order, which added to the casual, welcoming atmosphere of the restaurant. Overall, Buena Vida is a cute spot that I highly recommend for anyone looking for delicious tacos and a great vibe!

Google
The place was nice, beautiful ambience and the music was pretty chill if you’re considering dinning in . Now to the food lol, I ordered the Birria Tacos which were 6/10 they aren’t your normal birria with consomè Tacos , kinda of sweet and savory I also ordered the Trompo Fries which were a 8/10 , I had to ask for extra meat that’s on top or I would’ve had any lol .I also ordered the Elote - not your average elote either lol very creamy . The presentation for all the foods were a 10 out of 10, but when it came down to taste, it got a little tricky, don’t get me wrong everything was seasoned and very tasteful & Fresh/made to order. Hope this helps lol

Yelp
Food was great the service was not and it was weird. Ordered our food which was great. Finished my food waiting for our drinks and no one told us we had to take our drink tickets to the bar to be made (like we work there) but got our drinks and the tacos was amazing. Pollo taco was great and I got the trompo pastor and wow the pineapple are the perfect topper. Elotes and birra tacos were also great!

Yelp
The location is great but the food is just okay. It's pricey for average tacos that fall apart when you try and eat them. The meat tastes like it's cooked and prepped in bulk then warmed for the tacos. I had the Asada, Pastor, and Trompo. Asada was sub par, pastor was okay, and the trompo was average as well. I'm not sure I was come back but I see with its location my a bunch of apartments why it's pretty busy. The service was good, food came out quickly. The ambiance was okay it was like a Fuzzys with bright blue colors and neon. One good thing was the sauce selection. They had three sauces stocked in bottles in a mini fridge. I like the convenience. Everything else was just okay.

Yelp
Thank you, Kendall, and BVFW for hosting this wonderful event, I enjoyed it! This was such a wonderful way to close the Yelp year, tacos and margaritas. Birria Pizza: Simply, delicious. It was well seasoned, and all of the toppings complemented the meat. The sauce is a bit spicy, if that's not something you'd like, I'm sure it can be omitted. This is one, you want to try! Dip Trio: This was plentiful and was more than enough for, four people. The Buttermilk Smoked Chili Queso is, EVERYTHING! It was so good; it was my first time to have their queso, and it will not be my last. Parking: Eh, this would be my only drawback. Depending on when you visit, parking can be very challenging. Keep that in mind when planning a night out or even a weekend out, you may have to park away from the restaurant and walk a block or two. I love how open and inviting the restaurant is, it's a place where I can enjoy great drinks and food with friends, or even a date night. Happy New Year!

Yelp
Some of the best tacos & appetizers I've had in Fort Worth. I love their barbacoa, shrimp, and papas appetizer. The way they make the papas with all the delicious sour cream, cheese and salsa it's just perfection! They have refreshing drinks, a cute atmosphere with an outdoor seating option that is very spacious. Perfect for a summer night dinner with friends. I've been back many times and it's consistently great food and service. 10/10!! I love their salsa as well. They have all the colors.

Yelp
Who doesn't love a good taco Tuesday! Buena vida did not disappoint at all. The food, the drinks, the service and vibes were definitely great. They offer 2 street tacos for 5 dollars with your choice of whatever meat. I had the pastor and shrimp tacos and I was highly satisfied with them. You also can order your drinks at the counter and then pick them up from the bar. Definitely will be my new taco Tuesday spot the next time I'm in the DFW area

Jodi B.

Yelp
The food and drinks were fantastic. The interior was also very cute. If you haven't been here before this is an order and pickup type of restaurant. They have both indoor and outdoor seating available.

Yelp
This place has my favorite birria. I have gotten the carne asada fries twice, the first time they were so good second time not quite as warm but still good! Super easy walk up and order and the ambiance is great! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Tacos & Tequila will always have my heart! Located on the south side, Buena Vida offers flavors and flare. Unlike many other tacos spots, Buena Vida gives a modern trendy feel will ample in-house and patio seating. An expansive menu offers flavors from birria to street tacos even a few speciality options. As a first-timer, I kept hearing about the birria tacos & decided to follow suit. Flavorful, the birria taco was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Paired with the house made consome, the tacos were official. My only knock was there could've been a tad more meat. The elote as well was phenomal, the balanced of spice and cheese was proof the staff knew what they were doing! Now to my favorite, house made margs.. I went with the frozen and I must say it packed a punch. After a days long drive arriving back to FW, one frozen marg had me feeling GREAT. Shoutout to the team at Buena Vida for good grub and libations! Although the afternoon lunch rush was in full swing, wait time wasn't long. Definitely worth a try if you're near southside FWTX.

Yelp
Best $5 margaritas in town on taco Tuesday. Can't go wrong with the 2 for $5 tacos all day on Tuesday. Great selection of salsas! Mangoneada margarita is great for any day. The birria tacos and pizza are a must. The entire team is welcoming and friendly. Great music always playing.

Yelp
First time here, discovered this restaurant via TikTok. Being new to the area and on the hunt for good Mexican food or tacos, this place hit the mark--specifically for tacos. We were greeted warmly upon entry, and the beautiful decor really stood out. Jordan, our server, was friendly and did a good job managing multiple tasks. The margaritas were just okay--more juice and ice than a balanced drink, so I'd rate them 6/10. This restaurant operates in a semi-self-service style: you can place your order at the bar or counter, receive a table buzzer, and pick up your food when it's ready. It's not a full-service restaurant, but there's plenty of seating inside and on the patio. I didn't love how limited and strict the shared patio space was with the neighboring restaurant. As for the food, I ordered a pollo taco, which was delicious--9/10. The barbacoa taco, however, was dry and lacked balanced flavor, so I'd give it a 6/10. The elote was perfectly made, especially with the crunch and spice of the Hot Cheeto crunch topping--10/10. The dip trio was also fresh and enjoyable--10/10. Overall, it was a good time with nice vibes. Thank you, Buena Vida!

Yelp
Tonight was the second time I have been here and I still love it. It was super busy at 7pm. Only seating was a few tables on the decking outside but it cooled off so it was nice enough to eat out there. Don't forget if you're medical to bring your badge for 15% off everyday.

Yelp
Hands down Buena Vida serves up the best house margarita I have had in the last two years around DFW. I would go back just for another drink. But, wait! There is another reason I would go back .... the Birria Tacos. We are from southern CA and have only lived in DFW for 2.5 years now, so we have experienced Birria tacos in both CA and TX. Buena Vida serves the best we've EVER had. So, so good! The restaurant is clean and small. We did experience a few downers during this experience. The cashier got my husband's order totally wrong and he was starving and didn't want to wait for the correction so he ended up unhappy but did say the food he did get was very good. Also, there are taco sauces in a small fridge near the drinks and they were not labeled so we opted not to try any. They don't serve common Coke or Pepsi products, so that also made my husband unhappy as he is a Coke Zero person. And, while this is not the restaurant's fault, there was a very large party of at least 12 people dining together and they were EXTREMELY loud. At times my husband and I could not hear each other talk. Parking is also not easy here but we lucked out and got a close spot along the curb near the front door the say we came and we're grateful for that.

Yelp
I came here because, I'm a part of the Elite Crew. It was lunch time, like around 12:30. There seem to be a lot of people in line with one person working? I got out of line to use the Restroom and when I came back, the line had not moved. I had a reservation somewhere else that I didn't want to cancel. So, I decided to leave. However, there were a lot of significant takeaways. Here's what I discovered. Parking is very difficult to find. You have to park on the street. They have a large outdoor patio, the ambience is beautiful and clean. BV has a Tejano playlist that includes the late Selena Quintanilla. The infamous sound of Techno Cumba was playing. This seems like a trendy hotspot? Seems like the office staff heads over here along w friend groups. The majority of the people didn't seem to mind the wait, except these two guys in front of me. They were contemplating to go somewhere else. I hope they get things moving because, I will return to give them another chance. I'm looking forward to trying their Taco's!

Yelp
This place has been on my list for a while and was glad to have the chance to make it in. Stopped by about 830 pm on Saturday night to a steady crowd but not overwhelmingly busy. Great music played for the duration of our visit which was fun. We ordered drinks at the bar first - 2 frozen house margaritas. It was a no go for my husband - he thought they didn't have a good flavor and were artificial tasting. For me, they were okay, not willing to spend the money for a 2nd round like we originally planned. I was more disappointed that the drink was not as frozen as it should be - it watered down quickly. Originally we planned for an appetizer and drinks but without a large appetizer menu, we opted to share a quesa birria plate with a side of elote. We were both extremely surprised and impressed with the flavors. Elote was fire roasted and just smoky flavor was throughout the bowl. The queso fresco and hot Cheeto topping was a delicious addition and we loved it. Tacos were full of wonderfully seasoned meat, lots of cheese and flavor. The consume has very, very good flavor. There was a small fridge with salsa and I love this - we tried 2 of the what appeared to be 3 salsas. The salsa that was served with the place wasn't spicy and we thoroughly enjoyed the darker red salsa. Service was good, nothing to highlight but nothing negative. Everyone we encountered was friendly. All in all a good place for food, I may have to pass on the drinks.

Yelp
Parking is $10. I tried this restaurant as a part of a Yelp promotion. When I arrived, nobody had any idea about the Yelp promotion. So, I just ordered anyway because I had already dropped $10 on parking. Otherwise, I would have just left. But really, WTH? You partner with Yelp to do a promotion and then don't tell your service staff? I ordered the birria tacos and the kids quesadillas. For sides, I got elote and potatoes. No high chairs. No booster seats. Water cups have no lids. No kids cups. So, this is 100% not a place for families with kids. The elote was the worst. There was this weird red cheetoe dust covering the top. I had one bite. The potatoes were also bad. I had one bite and left the rest. I have no idea what the seasoning was, but everyone hated it. The kids quesadillas were fine. The birria tacos were the only thing good. The tacos are the only reason this is not a 1 star review. $37.77 for a pretty bad experience. It would be better to just sell the tacos out of a food truck for $10. There are so many good places to get Mexican food in Fort Worth. Go eat at anywhere else.

Yelp
I had found Buena Vida a little while ago, going to an event at a neighboring restaurant. Staff was extremely welcoming during our visit. You order at the counter, get a buzzer and can pick your food up at the counter. Though during our visit we were sitting close enough that they brought it too us. The resturant is cute, and does have some outside seating, if the Texas weather is willing to allow for folks to be comfortable to use it! I had the chance to swing by for a quick bite! The prices were very much reasonable. I love that they have a jackfruit street taco! I love that I can add them to the quick bite spots when over here, and the coupe next door allows for outside food to come in ... so I love that I can support more then one place in one visit!!!

David K.

Yelp
Buena Vida has become the spot for a quick bite and happy hour drink for when we are visiting with my sister in law who lives nearby. I think we've ended up coming up here about once a month or at least every other month since finding this place. We had gotten the tip to come down here from two different groups, one from folks we know here on yelp ... and some of my sister in laws neighbors that we had gotten to know when we were all regulars at the T&P Tavern when it was still opened. You order from a counter and get your food once your buzzer goes off. You pick up your drinks from the bar or from the soda machine. Food is pretty decent here; and they have various salsas you can try. They have a patio area to be able to hang out at if the weather allows for it!

Yelp
Service - Very nice & patient customer service from Emily (believe that was her name) Tacos- decent, husband stated some of the meats were chewy. I got both shrimp & veggie tacos (which is on the menu as Chile Rellano) Shrimp was slightly overcooked, but good flavor wise. Chile Rellano tacos were the best out of all of the tacos we ordered. Sides- Fries - 5/5 Chips w/Guacamole- 5/5 will add to order every time! Elote- our fault for not reading the description the hot Cheetos on top were just not our thing. Potatoes- Too much extra toppings on top (again may be stated on the menu and I didn't read) Very open space and clean restaurant, with patio dining available. Will be back!

Kendall S.

Yelp
Buena Vida is so fun and delicious. The tacos and cocktails are as bright and colorful as the restaurant itself, which is perfect for lots of photo-taking with its hot pink featured wall and natural light. They sell cute, cheeky merch, too. See my photos! The birria tacos are what they should be, melty gooey beefy cheesy tacos with an unctuous consommé for dipping. The street tacos aren't lacking in filling. You've gotta try the Trompo meat freshly carved. It's super juicy and delicious. I also recommend the chips and dip trio: guacamole, salsa, and queso. I'm usually underwhelmed by dip trios but this one is really good; even the chips alone are yum. If you like coconut, you have to try their pina colada. It's strong and smooth and a little too easy to finish. Topped with toasted coconut flakes and an edible flower, it's really pretty to boot. The strawberry kiwi delight is super good as well. The fresh strawberry puree is really refreshing and not too sweet. This is a casual spot where you order at the counter, full service at the bar. There's a large patio space that the restaurant is opened up to in nice weather (go before it gets too hot).

Lizzie G.

Yelp
Very pricy, 3 birria tacos with elote ($14), and a drink totaled to about $20. They close the platter options at 11pm (this was a Friday) and you can only get a la carte tacos after that. Decent atmosphere, relatively large patio for nice weather periods. The elote was good but not a lot of crema inside. Wish I had known about the abundance of cilantro because I would have opted without. Tacos were also okay but some large chunks that could not be easily bitten. Also had some bites that tasted extremely burnt. I might go back but the price point would likely deter me for the value.

Terry G.

Yelp
Last night we tried Buena Vida for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. To start with they had a really cool looking patio (much too hot out to do more than look though). We ordered at the counter which was fine. One issue though, the suggested tips at checkout started at 22%. I feel that's a little steep of a starting point for having to order standing up. My husband and I both ordered the Quesa Birra tacos. He ordered the Elote and I the Borracho Beans. The tacos and sides were great but to be honest the sides were a little heavy on salt. Also, the beans were more of a bean soup, mostly broth which I love, but should have more beans. We also each had a margarita on the rocks which was quite tasty. Overall, we had a nice time and surely will be back.

Pauline J.

Yelp
Well, this was not our first visit to Buena Vida and I really thought I had reviewed it the last time, but maybe not. It's s a cool place, but be aware that there is limited indoor seating and you'll likely need to meet new friends to have a place to sit during busy times. Granted, we were here at 6:15 on a Saturday night, and it was very busy, BUT it took 28 minutes to get our food. The 2 young ladies (1 at the register and 1 at the bar) were both wonderful. There was one guy who worked very hard at doing nothing while food orders piled up in the kitchen window. We felt for the girls who tried to take up his slack as the line went out the door. The margarita (frozen house) was good and the food was very tasty. We had the birria tacos with beans as a side and a barbacoa quesadilla. Once we finally got ours, it was as if a dam burst and everyone around us got their food as well. There's a nice patio for when the weather cools down.

Angela L.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere! The street tacos were delicious. The pineapple was accidentally left off my tromp o pastor taco. They immediately recognized it and brought me a container of pineapple.

Kristina W.

Yelp
Would've been a great experience if it wasn't for the 40-minute wait for the food. I went with 2 friends. One of my friends really didn't care for the 40-minute wait for her taco plate. The birria tacos & taco pastor were delicious, but had to rush & gobbled them up in less than 10 minutes, due to time constraints. Sure wish we had more time to savor our dishes. Otherwise, nice & spacious area with lots of combined outdoor dining tables & chairs. Parking was tricky, either street parallel parking (if you can find space), or paid parking, which costs $6.49 ($5 + fees).

Ashlei C.

Yelp
Thank you Yelp for dinner tonight!! I have never eaten here before and I think I shall return.. the elote is ELITE! I enjoyed that the best! The birria tacos were lacking in flavor for me but I didn't hate them and I also had a house Margarita that I didn't finish because I just left the gym and wanted to feel semi self controlled lol

Jennifer C.

Yelp
The ambiance was very trendy and stylish with great decor. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was DELICIOUS! I brought my son who is very picky, but he said the carne asada street tacos were delicious. I had a house margarita and the birria tacos with elote - the tacos were superb and the salsa is SOOOOO good. The elote was very tasty too - one of my favorites in the area. I will definitely be back to try more options!

Hollie B.

Yelp
Very cute place, love the order at the counter thing and a pretty nice location with lots of other businesses around. The cashier was friendly and helpful, but the tables were a little dirty, so hopefully they keep up with that better in the future. And while I would happily come back here everyday for that BIRRIA PIZZA (I'm drooling now thinking about how perfectly sauced and seasoned it was), elote and beans alone, the tacos were disappointingly dry and the aguachiles barely had any shrimp. Maybe they were having a bad day with the taco meat. I would go back and maybe try tacos again, but I was just so upset about that asada and even more so about the pastor. But I'll say it again.... BIRRIA PIZZA. Y'all should give it a shot!

Angelina C.

Yelp
Great new taco place in Fort Worth! The restaurant itself was spacious and cute. We came in a big group walk in and they were able to put tables together for us. Happy hour is great along with their margs. The shrimp taco was definitely my favorite and I loved the birria they had. Beans and elotes were also delicious. The owner/manager was extremely sweet and there are deals available for healthcare workers which is so appreciated! Definitely come by and support this new business.

Maria M.

Yelp
The best thing about this place has been the service. The employees were all very nice and attentive to anyone that approached. My husband and I went to specifically to try the chicken. They were sold out, so we tried the barbacoa tacos. There were no issues, but there was nothing special to note. We went back Thursday to try the chicken again and it was such a disappointment. The skin on the chicken was so mushy, I couldn't stomach the texture (It was like over boiled chicken ). The chicken was bland and there was barely any chicken on the bone. The elote wasn't for me either. The corn was cooked too long. I'm not sure we'll visit a third time; but I'm also tempted so we can ask other people what they're ordering, since a long line formed each time we were there.

Shamara M.

Yelp
I was searching for restaurants in the area since my husband and I were going to hit some breweries and bars afterwards. Glad I found this place here on Yelp, pictures of the foods and drinks looked promising so we decided to check it out. We got there on a Saturday right before 2pm, the place was pretty empty so we decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was attentive and was pretty much on it the whole time we were there. We started with drinks, I had a Paloma and my husband had a beer. For foods we had to try the Pizza Birria, it was delicious, I wanted to order another one just for myself. For our second round, I had a Margarita and my husband had a Beer-rita, it was a great way to end our time there. I recommend this place and will be going back when I'm in the area.

Iliana E.

Yelp
First of the place is perfectly placed in the center of upcoming community in Fort Worth, close to downtown but enough of a distance to not get stuck in traffic. The ambiance was perfect for a night out with girlfriends or on a fun date! It was nice and cool and the food was AMAZING! the tacos I had were the shrimp and carne asada tacos and they did not disappoint! My girlfriend who went with me had their elote in a cup and said it was amazing as well! We didn't get any drinks but dang they look good. The service was friendly and very helpful! Over all it's my. We favorite spot for tacos! And on Tuesday they have a 2x$5 special!!

Rachell G.

Yelp
As we walk in there's a line to order like a fast food chain would . No waiter to attend you and sit you down, but they tell you to add a tip as you pay , for what ? Our food arrived and we grab our own salsa and forks and napkins ,the barbacoa was chewy and the Birria meat is just the barbacoa dipped in red sauce so same experience with the Birria pizza the meat was not it but the food is very average nothing that stands out

Judy A.

Yelp
I found this spot from a quick google search, and it did not disappoint. When you first walk in you are greeted by a very nicely decorated restaurant that gives off colorful fun vibes. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and instructed to find a seat and order at the food counter or the full service bar. I went with the barria tacos, a shrimp taco, and an order of fries . The barria tacos had a good amount of cheese in the middle, and a sprinkle on top, that complimented the broth. The fries were lightly battered and crispy, & they were still good when I heated my leftovers too! The shrimp taco was the star of the show for me. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the radish & cotija were a nice addition. While we were eating the bartender brought my party a sample of all of their frozen drinks. They had mangonada, Jarritos spiked ice, pina coloada, & a classic margarita. The Harritos was my favorite; tasty but not too strong. The pina colada was my second favorite as far as quality & consistency, but beware, it's strong. I live in Dallas so I will definitely be adding Buena Vida to my list of places to stop by whenever I come to Fort Worth.

Nikitha C.

Yelp
Foods great. Pretty ambiance with pink falls and fake plants. You order at the counter and pay. They don't call out the order to be picked up. I happened to turn around to find it sitting. We left a hefty tip, assuming they'd at least bring it over to table. Nope! You have to clean up after yourself also :) which is completely fine, had I known If it's fast food style! Will definitely be back coz the food was delicious! Might not leave a 20% tip next time though

michelle h.

Yelp
Overall it was good. I've definitely had better Mexican food but it was close to our hotel and looked good. The person taking our order was a little confused he started ringing me up for a bunch of things I wasn't trying to order. The inside was very cute and I loved the patio, if it wasn't so hot I would have sat out there.

Yelp
I went here after seeing this place on TikTok and it looks nothing like what I saw. The staff is incompetent and rude. I placed my order and the cashier left food off that I had to go back and pay for again. I'm assuming the manager was up front and he was just as rude and uncaring after I told him it was left off the order. He was just like ok you want me to charge the same card again. What a joke! The corn in the Elote was burnt and the covered it up with the toppings so you couldn't tell. It tasted like can corn they tried to throw on the grill. I had the Barbacoa taco and it literally had zero flavor and was extremely dry. I also had a strawberry margarita on the rocks and it had zero flavor as well. An entire expensive meal and drink that was entirely too much and not enjoyable. I'd tell anybody to save their money and go get some real Mexican food and drinks. Outside of this the ambiance was just ok. The women's bathroom main door gets stuck and there were no paper towels in the bathroom. The area and some people around were very sketchy and it made me and the people I were with extremely uncomfortable. Needless to say I'd never go back there.

Yelp
Great little taco place open on Christmas! My sister called a bunch of local places to find out if they were going to be open on Christmas & if they also had vegan options (for me). The guy she spoke to here said, "honey, we will be here for the people!" Thankfully the weather was decent so we were able to sit out on the patio. So, vegan taco options are a bit limited but the 2 I had were pretty good. The jackfruit taco was the better of the 2 and I'm not a pineapple on tacos kinda gal. The hongos specialty taco wasn't my fave but I did have to modify it so maybe it's better with the cheese - the marinade on the mushrooms was too overpowering. Vegans still need to specify no cheese on both of those. Their tortillas were delicious! The corn tortillas didn't fall apart like they usually do! Also had their nopales guac which was really good - nopales isn't an ingredient you see often. I wish they had just the guac by itself - it's only available as part of the dip trip which ended up being too much for us. Fries as a side were delish! They're the seasoned, crusty kinda fries if you know what I mean - don't even need ketchup. We also had cocktails - mangonada and a Paloma, both delicious. Overall was really pleased with this place & would recommend (and go back myself) for anyone in Ft. Worth.

Yelp
I'm generally not the biggest fan of counter service places, the food here is great. The decor is instagrammable, the music was great. Be warned, the birria was a bit spicy. The staff was fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable.

Yelp
Very flavorful and crispy Birria tacos. And the patatas were so delicious. Definitely coming back for more.

Yelp
Wow! Huge plate of delicious loaded fries--absolutely satisfying! The chicken was flavorful and well-cooked. The dining area and restrooms were spotless, which added to the overall positive experience. Service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We came to Buena Vida because we've been craving some real Mexican food, and this place did not disappoint! After moving to Waco from LA, we've been on the hunt for authentic Mexican flavors, and Buena Vida hit the mark. The ambiance was incredible--vibrant, welcoming, and perfect for a fun day out. But the real highlight was the food. Everything we tried was a 10/10! The flavors were authentic, the portions generous, and every bite reminded us of the Mexican food we loved back in LA. Even though it's an hour and a half drive from Waco, it's absolutely worth it. We'll definitely be coming back again and again!

Yelp
Really wanted to love this place but I just couldn't. My husband and I went early one Friday near the start of happy hour, so it wasnt really full yet. The atmosphere was great, seems to be a very chill spot, great patio area very laid back. Parking wasn't great and probably will be worse if the place gets full. Service waa pretty quick. We both ordered Queso Birria tacos with fries, an order of chips and salsa with a margarita mine frozen his on the rocks. The tacos were not as good as expected. The filling was a little on the slim side and the shells a little over done. Flavors were great just could have had a little more inside. Fries were great, drinks were pretty good, I also loved the chips and the salsa was ok. I will go back and give it another try just from the ambiance of the place, hopefully, it will be better next time around.

Yelp
Buena Vida offers a fast casual dining experience with an assortment of Tex-Mex options. The restaurant is colorful with ample seating inside and outside. You have to go up to a counter to order, then after you find a seat, they will deliver your food. I had 2 tacos and shared loaded fries with my sister. I also had a margarita, during their happy hour. Everything was ok, but I think the highlight was the loaded fries. Overall the food and drinks were ok, but nothing left a big impression on me.

Yelp
My husband and I went out for a date night and finally got a chance to try Buena Vida! The vibe was dope! Music was on point reggaeton to norteño. I felt really relaxed with their lighting and all the greenery. We ordered the queso birria and a la carte street tacos. I wasn't a big fan of their rice not enough flavor for me so I added some consume to it which was amazing. The queso birria had crispy tortillas and hardly any greasy residue on my hands. The cashier was pleasant and opened my jarritos for me. Overall, it was a quick and easy bite to eat located on main street. Totally recommend and we will be back!

Yelp
I truly wanted to love this place but the food just wasn't it. Not if you're looking for Mexican tacos or anything close to it. The tortilla on the tacos is quite hard (no it's not a crunchy tortilla). Seems like it wasn't heated correctly or it's just an old tortilla. The meat was similar to what you'd find at taco cabana. This is more Tex mex than Mexican tacos just FYI The dip trio was just bad. The queso got hard within the first 3 mins. The guac is not fresh. It seems as if it is frozen guac or mixed with store bought. The salsa ... is basically tomato's.

Yelp
Excellent new taco spot on South Main. This is a fast casual restaurant, where you order at the counter and they give you a buzzer number to come pick it up when it's ready. The birria pizza is fantastic!
