First time visiting the Buena Vista Cigar Club after a USC game with my good buddies, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The moment we walked in, we were welcomed by the warm, classic atmosphere, a perfect blend of sophistication and comfort. We were lucky enough to meet Rigo, the owner, who personally greets every guest with a genuine smile and handshake. That kind of hospitality sets the tone right away. Originally from Cuba, Rigo shared incredible stories about his journey and passion for cigars, it truly added a personal touch to an already outstanding experience. The cigar selection was top-notch, the drinks were outstanding, and the overall vibe made it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy good company. We’ve officially found our favorite cigar lounge in the entire Los Angeles area. Whether you’re a cigar aficionado or just looking for a relaxing evening with friends, Buena Vista is the place to be.

Amazing cigar bar. Great selection of cigars and drinks. The owner is amazing. Friendly and knows all the regulars by name. I was here in business for a week and came here every night lol. The clientele is very friendly as well. A community of cigar lovers who are chill and welcoming. Highly recommend!

I had an extremely lovely experience with the owner on a Sunday evening as he was about to close. We got his fastest burning cigar and chatted for about the half hour that he kept the store open for us. The shop is very unique and open to the public. No entry fees or exclusiveness.

Excellent service by Ms. Payton, dark hair, dark eyes and sweet as pie. Also, she makes a very nice rye Olde Fashioned.

If you’re looking to enjoy a cigar in LA, this is hands down the best relaxed spot that’s not inside a hotel. The atmosphere is chill, and the host along with his partner are genuinely amazing—welcoming, friendly, and passionate about what they do. Highly recommended!

Always a great time at my favorite cigar bar in LA! They always play Cuban music and are so attentive to their customers. Immediately was given an iPad to scan the menu plus waters while we searched for a good cigar & whiskey pairing. The owner is very knowledgeable and from Cuba 🇨🇺! 10/10 would recommend you pay them a visit. There is metered parking outside the cigar bar and plenty of seating inside.

I've been enjoying this unique space since it was Hamilton's back in the late '90s. Great staff, bar, humidor. Love the upstairs lounge area. Great for meetings or just a relaxing smoke and Scotch. My only regret is that I don't spend more time there. Definitely my favorite cigar-bar-lounge in L.A.

This Cigar lounge is heavenly. The decor, location, parking, staff, clientele etc... The cigar collection and quality is amazing. The drinks selection is top shelf and they have rare tequila and whiskey. Rigo has a great personality and always makes the best drinks and more importantly makes everyone feel welcome.

Because sparring with Rigo's quips is like a free ticket to the Laugh Factory. Now, onto the joint that's been my sanctuary since its "Hamilton's" days. Picture this: Rigo, a man so interesting he makes the Dos Equis guy look like a novice, wielding a Montecristo like a knight brandishes a sword, ready to bestow upon you the sacred scrolls of tobacco knowledge. Each visit? A wild ride in Rigo's amusement park of anecdotes where the cigars aren't just smoked; they're inhaled with a side of storytime. Step into Rego's world, and you're not just a customer; you're an explorer in the smoky galaxy where each cigar is a star, and Rigo's the astronomer guiding your telescope. Captain Rego at the helm, ready to take you to the outer limits of cigar bliss. Swing by, spark up a stogie, and dive into the saga. This place is awesome with wonderful staff! Very polite and great people from Cuban serving the best drinks, cigars and great to speak with. The cigar club is not private and has so much character inside. Wonderful place for a smoke and to watch a game!

Great place for an after dinner cigar and drink. We were visiting the area and needed a place to sit and have a cigar. We found the gem in Beverly Hills. Mr Fernandez is one of the most gracious owners and host I've had the pleasure of meeting. This man welcomes you into his establishment with open arms, respect and care. There's a $25 cigar fee for outside cigars or you can buy one of theirs and take it with you, best option. I always purchase from the local shop when I'm traveling, even if I'm smoking my own. Cigar bars are small family owned businesses where someone took a chance in the face of heavy regulations. I will support them while I'm enjoying their space. I purchased a couple of cigars both nights we visited. I noticed a review complaining about prices. Really, you're in Beverly Hills. I was happy to find a place to smoke a cigar and was open to 2am. I will definitely keep this place on my list. And I will cheer for Rigo Fernandez of the Chicago White Sox, Mr Fernandez son! Thanks for the great place to relax!

Pretty laid back place. Nice atmosphere and decent selection of cigars. Sitting area was small but still good place for a bourbon and cigar. Staff was great.

Awesome establishment. Came by after a boys dinner at Mastro's. We walked here and almost missed the place cause there were no signs. But, you can't miss the old world tobacco smell wafting thru the block. Owners were very welcoming. We lucked out and scored the "living room" seating for our party of 5. Very classy vibe with a rustic charm. It's built like a hunting lodge with all the memorabilia on the walls. We're not the biggest of cigar aficionados, but, the lady helping us recommended a smooth easy toking Macanudo. A couple rounds of Dewar's and we were on full on chill mode. The owner bro came around often to check on everyone. Cool dude and runs a tight ship. Very eccelectic and diverse crowd in there. Overall, I highly recommend this spot for night caps and small get togethers with your buds. Or, if you just want to come solo and sit at the bar, this is a good place for that as well. Salud!

YOU ARE WELCOMED, AS FAMILY at this place!! This is the number one stop in Beverly Hills 4ME, while I am waiting for my professional shopper to finish her full time job. I have been coming to this very friendly establishment for over 4 years. I work in NYC and travel to BH a few times a year. I mostly stay at the Inter-continental Hotel - a few minutes cab ride away. They have a fantastic variety of cigars in their humidor. There is a large bar serving alcoholic cocktails and beers. YES you are inside - sitting at a beautifully decorated bar smoking a cigar. Can't do that in most places anymore. I feel like I am Uncle Buck in the Great outdoors Lodge. The Beers - A shocking large array of Beers - If you like IPA's you are in Heaven - I don't - But there are Non IPAles and Lagers abound. There are a few tables away from the bar and some outdoor seating. So if you don't like the bar scene this place will work. I met the owner a few time but usually I hang with the other two bar tenders - all very nice people. Most of the time I go in alone, Not only do the bartenders treat you like family, the customers also do. There is a big cross section represented here and they all support AMERICA! GREAT PEOPLE PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although I was just in town for a mini vacation, I'm so glad I found this place. The owners are very nice people, definitely made me feel at home. For you cigar aficionados in the LA area, I highly recommend this place. Next time I'm in town, this will be on my list of places to visit.

I appreciate the reply to my comment. I understand that there are jerks who will take advantage of a smoking lounge and calling you a name is entirely unacceptable, but there are also some people like me who are traveling and have a special cigar (in this particular case it was a nice Cuban Partagas) and are just looking for a nice place to smoke it. When I go to a cigar lounge, I will always either buy a cigar from the establishment and put it in my pocket and ask if it is okay to smoke the one I brought, or, if there is a "cutting" fee for bringing my own cigar gladly pay it. As to a $50 minimum (which is not excessive for your location), either drinks, cigars or a combination, that is your prerogative and if it helps your business, it is certainly up to you if you want to impose one. Cozy little cigar lounge where locals can chill and have some of the best selections around. The owner is a cool cat as well.

A nicely decorated cigar lounge but access to the second floor deck requires a $100 minimum! Additionally the humidor has a rather limited selection of sticks. The cutting fee is also a bit on the high side at $25.

I really like this place. I first stumbled upon this place four years ago while I was staying around the corner. Now I go back anytime I'm in town and have time for a drink and a smoke. The gentleman (possibly owner) is from Cuba and is so involved with running the place. He comes around to chat, being you drinks, light your cigars, bus the table, and even took a photo of us. The service is five stars and the vibe here is so chill. One time I sat in the upstairs attic, and it was like sitting in an upstairs bedroom loft. So cool. If you're looking for a place to smoke, have a drink and hang out with your friends, look no further. Worth an Uber trip out here.

That guy is the nicest ever. I called to ask weather I can step on and buy a cigar. He said "yes please" in such a lovely way. I went there, he explained to me my options... prices... all I wanted to ask about. I paid with a card and he refused to get my gratitude. I don't smoke cigars. Never did. I have asthma. I bought this guy for a good friend of mine. If You smoke, if like the smells, if you love cigars - I would do that place my place. Respect.

Don't waste your time. Terrible place. Extremely expensive drinks and a mandatory fee (20.00 if you bring your own sticks) as well as a rude owner (my place and that's the way it is!). He acts like he's doing you a favor for patronizing his establishment. Great businessman. Hilarious. I won't be back. Neither will my cigar review club. -Update - Since my review has been posted, the owner responded blaming me, the customer for the poor customer service (see his belittling response to my review - it proves my point). I am new to the area, and just wanted to have a smoke, drink and relax. He earned the negative review. I stand by it.

This is a regular stop when I'm in the Beverly Hills area for about 10 years. Great atmosphere. The owner Rigo is the best !!! Good selection of cigars and a full bar - open until 2:00am. Highly recommend if you in the area. Another great night of smoking. Burma vista is one of my favorite places to smoke. Smoked a AVO classic tonight.

A very cool spot located in Beverly Hills, this is one of those places where the amazing aroma of whiskey and cigar really permeates the air. From the Cuban, Puerto Rican or whatever tickles your palete, light up your favorite cigar while sipping a serving of your preferred whiskey. I came here with a few friends for a Thursday night cap, the place looks cool, a mix of classy, chill and cozy in keeping with the Beverly Hills luxe aura, It almost feels lodge'ish and comfy, just a totally relaxed and chill crowd with a whiskey glass or beer in hand. Buena Vista Cigar is a departure away from the typical hispter and dive bars, The owner is very nice and always around. Don't worry about suffocating as ventilation at this place is very nice, street parking is ample but make sure you follow the aloted time or park where it is appropriate. If you are looking for a simple chill time with friends or just wanted to have a night cap to end the day, get a puff or two of your favorite cigar and glass of your favorite whiskey/whisky - I highly recommend Buena Vista Cigar. Try it, you won't regret it. Cheers!

I love this place,full bar too..the owner is so friendly and solicitous..selection wonderful..the place has a feel of a hunting lodge or a old school british gentemans club. Great vibe

While I am not a smoker myself and cannot comment on the actual quality of the cigars at this establishment, I can say that my guests really enjoyed their experience here. The ambience of the place is fantastic and there is a good selection of liquor at the bar. Although slightly pricey, the prices are typical of Beverly Hills and are fair considering the location and quality of the club. We were disappointed to see that upstairs was off limits since the club was listed as public and there are pictures of the upstairs area on yelp, but the downstairs seating is still comfortable and there is plenty of seating and space. We will definitely be coming back.

This. Is. My. Spot. Great whiskey selection (you have to try the Hibiki). It's dim but not dark; it's actually kind of sexy in there. You can order food from next door too. I come here every time my best friend is intown but honestly, it's the perfect place to bring a guy (if you know what I mean!!!). All there's left to do is learn to blow circles!

Racism from a while back... I spent time having drinks and cigars with friends. Then arranged to buy 2 extremely expensive Cubans, which were illegal. When he charged me tax on the illegal cash deal, I scoffed and complained. Upset and frustrated, he asked "what are you, a Jew?" Yes, I am. And I'm shocked a local business in BH exists with that prejudice. I wouldn't give them my business if they were the only shop in town.

Love it here. Such chilled relax place with a cocktail and a cigar. Life is good we just saw some people walk out because there is a cutting fee for a cigar, ofcourse there's a cutting fee silly! Very cool Decour, reminds me of a hunters lodge, They have alcoholic drinks and you can smoke your cigars inside what more could you ask for? A little on pricey side but what do you expect in this part of town? LOL definitely a great place to just chill and relax.

I have been here for years, since I started working after college and I am now in my 30s. I was just sending the link to a few friends to meet there this week and stumbled on some of the negative reviews. So I just have to write something to paint a better picture. To be honest, Yelp is not my favorite. Because people write reviews based on the $ factor while comparing apples with oranges. This place is not a bar or a social club. This is a cigar lounge - no need to judge it on anything else besides cigars and ambiance to smoke the cigars in. I frequent multiple cigar lounges. When I travel, I also hit all of the cigar clubs in Hong Kong, Tokyo, etc. just to try out different experiences. So let me address the factors that are actually important to a cigar lounge: 1. Selection: I don't disagree with some of the reviews that the selection here is not huge. It's also not small and it has everything you need (just nothing from a limited edition). For cubans, I like the Partagas Series D #4, Montecristo #2, Cohiba Siglo VI for a special occasion, or the Romeo #2 for a quickie. For non-cubans, I like the Padron family reserves or 1964s, multiple my Fathers lines, Series V Melanie, Aroma de Cuba, and a few other full bodies. You can find half of the things mentioned above at this shop, which is more than sufficient. If you don't smoke frequently, this definitely covers all of your needs. 2. Price: for the Los Angeles greater area, the price is fair considering this place also has a full bar. If you go to Lone Wolf nearby, which is a private club, you may save a couple bucks a stick, but there is no alcohol and no parking. I love Lone Wolf but Buena Vista is just different. 3: Bar: has a good selection of whiskey (including the Santory made Japanese ones that I love) and everything else you would see at a normal bar, including IPAs. Price is normal for a typical bar in the area. 3. Customers: I think most of the clientele are locals. I personally go there with my coworkers after work. Don't expect people to start conversations with strangers...this is not a cruise or somewhere you would see the same faces everytime you are there. Whether they are snobby or not (as mentioned in another review), is purely a LA people thing (or maybe a personal issue) and it's not fair to deduct stars for this lounge. 4. Ambiance: hunting cabin themed... although hunting is kind of a tabooed topic to talk about in California, I like the theme. He's got some mallards, deer, elk, and a few European mounts. Nothing offensive and I feel it's comfortable and kind of unique. 5. Owner: Rigo is awesome. He doesn't make as much small talk as some of the other cigar shop owners I have met in other countries but he is helpful, professional, and pays attention to you. I don't normally review the owner but I just need to mention it to clarify from another review. SUMMARY: you will like it if you are new to cigars or if you smoke frequently and just looking for a chill place to have a stogie. You will hate it if you are coming in there trying to date some of the clientele, or in one of the reviewer's case, the owner.

We visited on Friday and had a great time. The owner Rigo was real cool. He knew his cigars, so he and my hubby enjoyed there conversation, there was some good selection choices, and a full stacked bar filled with scotch, whiskey, tequila, and rum. No wine:/, which I love but apparently most people don't want wine when they go there according to Rigo! Anyway, Rigo paired the cigars up with good whiskey for the hubby, and I had a sipper of a nice top shelf rum. The seating is top and bottom, if your spending a certain amount then you can sit in the top lounge area where we sat. I loved it! big sofa chairs, we are football fans so we watched the game, as we lounged. This place is a must. You can have food delivered to from the Italian place next door. It's Beverly Hills so drinks are priced accordingly, cigar prices are reasonable, atmosphere was cool. They are open till 2am.

This place is everything you think a cigar club should be. I'm almost positive that Rodrigo (the owner) is the thinly-disguised Most Interesting Man in the World; and, he has the stories to support my theory. To an admitted novice, he stocks a great supply of cigars and has the knowledge to suggest one to you based on your taste. To an admitted professional, he also has a top shelf selection of scotch to go along with it. I know he has some beers and wine at the bar as well, but I believe I already mentioned the scotch, right? The place is on the smal side (which is not a complaint) and decorated like a kind of Victorian hunting cabin. It's just quintessential cigar club! My only complaint: the prices. My first impulse is to give Buena Vista 5 stars, based on the experience alone. It does hit the wallet pretty hard for what you're getting, though. Two whiskey's and two cigars will put you back about $100...almost twice what it "should" cost. Even still, that's not keeping me from going back!

A great spot! The owner is very knowledgable and helpful. It's a great place to relax with a few friends and enjoy a nice cigar. The fact that it also has a full bar is amazing. I cannot stress that enough because nothing goes better with a cigar than a nice burbon, neat. It's comfortable and roomy enough. There are 3-4 tv's with games on and if you get hungry, call the Italian place next door and they'll deliver food to you there. I not only recommend, but I myself will become a monthly regular there. Super cute and quaint cigar lounge. My husband and I enjoyed this location. The waitress was very knowledgeable of their cigar selection. They have a red blend I cannot recall the name of that was amazing!

Cool place but the photo was deceptive! It seems more for a targeted demographic. The owner or service guy was nice and accomodating.

Walk in, ask for a wine glass -- don't have wine. The chap recommended I go to the steak house and had a fantastic time.

Super cute quaint spot to smoke a cigar and have drink. It has a very masculine vibe but I brought my own feminine appeal. I'm a wine drinker so the only downside is they didn't have ANY wine but the bar attendant suggested a port that had a sweet taste like wine and I was good to go. Perfect if you are whisky or bourbon drinker. I didn't feel like going in just yet. It was my first time ever smoking a cigar and she told me what to do and so that's one more thing added to the list of things I know how to do . Ladies don't inhale!!

Oh is this the place to have a drink and a cigar. I enjoyed my time here. A nice rum and medium bodied cigar is what makes me happy when I come here. Parking is never an issue because it's around back in the Bev Hills public parking garage. I wouldn't bother with parking in the garages across the street, park around back in the public lot - it's free after a certain time.
