Buena Vista Cuban Cafe - Downtown

The food was amazing and the service at the bar was spot on. Jessica was fantastic. Had the ropa vieja. It was delicious. And the flan was the best! (after my wife's homemade version that is)

Came to enjoy a valentine day dinner with wifey and two kids. We had reservations at 7:30. Once we were sat, we found out they had a set menu for the day. So we couldn't experience the whole menu. We decide to stay try it out. We figured with set menu we service would be quick. Over and hour to get our food. That's that I had to let them know and was ready to leave. Wife and kids steak came out chewy and they couldn't finish it. Overall just bad experience .

This is a terrific restaurant with great food and atmosphere. I was recommended arroz con pollo and the green plantains. It was fabulous. I was traveling for work, and the staff gave me great insights about what to do around downtown as well. I would never have figured that out.

The app says they’re scheduled to be open until 6pm today. It would be nice if the schedule was updated so I didn’t have to come all this way for nothing. Update your hours of operation please!

Sat at the bar and had an exceptional experience.The service was spot on—attentive, personalized, and genuinely welcoming. Great recommendations, amazing food, and a perfect atmosphere. Definitely recommended!

Highly recommend this spot which is kind of hidden right above the Houston tunnels. Its the BEST Cuban food I've had in Texas and reminds me of the Cuban food in Florida and New Jersey. Decor inside the restaurant is terrific too. I recommend the empanadas and cuban sandwiches for lunch. The ropa vieja or pollo a la plancha for dinner. Service always very good, and the coffee is delicious.

Great place to eat staff is amazing. The food was great. If you want a great Coffee this is the place to come.

I am Cuban and this place was AUTHENTIC!!! Mouth watering pork, ropa vieja, black beans, postpones rellenos, and the mojitos by Jessica were amazing!!
