Highly recommend! Hole in the wall. Love the atmosphere. Friendly, attentive staff. Amazing food! We loved Chef Manny’s Chilaquiles. Food is made fresh when ordered and authentic roasted salsa. Bought 2 salsas to go. Wendy was so sweet and all the staff had Great Hospitality.

Cute place for breakfast. They have outdoor seating and it was chilly. The waitress heard and immediately they turned on the outdoor heating. That was so nice of them. The food was so good and it was served in a good amount. There is nothing I hate more than ordering food and getting small portions. I ordered a taco de huevo and was surprised at how filling it was for just being one! I also ordered a burrito and it was tasty. I do wish it had a little more avocado and sour cream but thats just my preference. The dining area was so pretty with flowers all around as well. Price was affordable.

The food was good, but the service was disappointing. I would consider returning if not for the poor experience with the staff. I can tell the chef is passionate about his work—he was out running plates and speaking with some guests, which was great to see. However, the rest of the staff didn’t match his level of care. If you're visiting with a group of five or more, be aware that there’s no seating to accommodate larger parties. Service was extremely slow—simple requests like a coffee refill, salt, pepper, and jelly took 20 minutes. I eventually had to go inside to ask, only to be met with attitude. When it was time to leave, we asked for a box, but the staff ignored us. A few minutes later, someone finally returned, dropped the boxes on the table without a word, and walked away. Overall, the food was enjoyable, and the chef's passion was evident, but the service needs serious improvement.

Google
Found Buena Vista Kitchen by accident. Loved the charming outdoor dining patio (only offers outdoor dining). I was planning on only ordering coffee and a small side but after seeing the menu, I decided to get the green chilaquiles. One of the very best versions I’ve ever had. Coffee was great, too. Met Manny, the chef. Manny and his staff were all great. Looking forward to coming back for the French toast.

The food was very good but the service was the worst I’ve ever encountered. I ordered bottle water but got a glass of tap water. The food was unceremoniously dumped on the table, no napkins no straw and the waiter never returned, not even to bring the check. The waitress had a permanent frown and begrudgingly gave me 2 napkins after I went to the kitchen to ask for them. I had to go to the take out line to pay my bill since I never got a check. Even the tasty food won’t bring me back here.

Left the restaurant at least an hour ago and I'm still so full from all the food I ate. I had 2 taco Tuesday tacos, a chicken tostada, and an order of pancakes. I also got the strawberry, banana, and orange juice smoothie! I'm still in disbelief that this amazing restaurant is so close to my house and I had no idea it was SO GOOD! Chef. Manny is hands down one of the BEST in Vegas. I definitely recommend and will for sure be back. The service was great and fast. It's hidden gem for sure! They should have 10 stars 🌟 I started eating right away and didn't get any pics of my food but I I did take a video and some photos of their outside seating which is the only way to dine but it's great setup and don't have to worry about being hot or bugs or birds.

Google
At first when visiting this restaurant, it’s small and quaint, but cannot handle a large crowd. I’m talking a large crowd over 20 people. They just do not have the seating capacity. The food looked appealing. The food was very good. It had plenty of flavor. The service was severely lacking we had to hunt down the wait staff for salt and pepper. Had to hunt down the wait staff for syrup. To even pay the bill you had to hunt down the waitress you could easily walk out and not pay. It is just filled with incompetent staff. They have no business being there. I would like to go back at a non-busy time because the food was good but the wait staff is severely lacking

Google
An amazing restaurant with great food and friendly staff! The food is delicious. We ordered the Mexico City burrito, the Sunday Morning burrito, and Manny's Favourite Pancakes. Everything was perfect. The Mexico City may in fact be the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. All the ingredients were perfectly portioned and came together wonderfully. The pancakes were also delicious and they smelled amazing as well! They've set up a very cool patio area with misters which makes it enjoyable to sit and enjoy your food. If you want good breakfast food, from burritos to pancakes, come here!

Yelp
This place was so yummy! We love a good hearty breakfast and yummy sweet items to balance the whole meal. This place is primarily Mexican food. We had the breakfast burrito, the all American breakfast, pancakes and the carne asada skillet. All were amazing! We sat in the patio since the indoor portion is very small. The service was fast and attentive. I wish we could see more of the specials-they only showed that inside the storefront and not on the menus outside.

Yelp
What a great find for brunch after our son's soccer class! The homemade salsas were amazing, especially the Arbol (red) which was spicy & flavorful! I had the Mexico City burrito that had eggs, chorizo, pico de gallo, cheese, and avocado. One of the freshest & best burritos I have ever had. My son had his own breakfast plate with potatoes, scrambled eggs, and bacon. The breakfast potatoes were perfectly seasoned & cooked. Our female server was very nice, but the tall Latinx guy (older with a mustache) lacked customer service values. I politely asked him for a to go container, and he never came back (probably sexist). The restaurant only offered patio seating. I have to mention how great the coffee was too!

Yelp
We needed a central-ish location for brunch on a Sunday morning, so we Yelped! to find this new spot nestled in Desert Shores right on the lake! There's a lot of parking on the weekend, because the offices are closed, so we had no issues with that at all. We did make a reservation, just in case, and we were seated right away upon arriving. All the seating is outdoors, and in Vegas in August, that's rough. The menu is pretty standard for brunch, lots of breakfast and lunch options. We did breakfast burritos, chilaquiles, and taquitos, but we also tried a smoothie! Prices are pretty average for the area, so no sticker shock, and the food was decent. Aside from sitting outside, it was an ok experience. We would visit again during a more weather-friendly season, for sure.

Yelp
We love our breakfasts and looking for new little spots to try and take family when they are in town. We yelped for breakfast after my daughter's Saturday morning soccer game and saw that Buena Vista Kitchen was close by and had great reviews so we gave it a shot. BVK is located in Desert Shores in the Lakeside Village Plaza. It's a bit hard to find and does not have much for signs so you really have to look for it. It has a very small patio on the first floor just off the parking lot hidden behind some greenery and decor. The patio area is the only dining area and while decorated nicely it has an awkward feel and is quite cramped. There's also quite a bit of traffic and noise since it is right off the parking lot and in the middle of the plaza walkway, so lots of pedestrian traffic through the dining area as well. We arrived around 10:30 and were seated at a very small table up against the outside wall of the restaurant, it looked like the only one available but was a very tight fit for me, my wife and our daughter. We started with two coffees and an OJ while we looked at the menu over. The menu is not very large or extensive, but does have a few good options, depending on what you are looking for. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros, my wife ordered the Chilaquiles and we got our daughter the French Toast with a scrambled egg, hash browns and side of bacon. Our breakfast came out to about $56 for the three of us, a bit pricey in my opinion. Overall the food was good, nothing great but not bad either. To be fair, my wife's family is from Mexico so our standards are a bit high when it comes to Mexican food. I could have used a little more flavor and spice from our dishes here, they were a little bland. My daughter on the other hand loved her French Toast and pretty much devoured it, so that is a plus! The staff was friendly and the service was good so no complaints there. Once you are done, you will not get a check so just walk inside to the counter and pay there when you are ready. We are always happy to try out small local places and are glad we tried BVK, so go ahead and give it a shot for yourself and see what you think!

Yelp
Lovely breakfast/lunch/brunch spot in Desert Shores! Highly recommend. They have the best quesabirria tacos! They come with fresh onions & cilantro. The quesabirria sauce was heavenly! And it's on the side so you can personalize your dipping. I did notice that the price on the board was $1 less than I was charged, and I had asked if they charge for to go orders (they do not). The keto shrimp bowl was amazing! It was so fresh and the shrimp were pretty large. It has guac and salsa, which are such a great match with the shrimp. I love the outside seating area, which has been upgraded recently with a cute "Insta" (is that what the kids call it?) background. They have limited hours, which is a bummer cause I'd love to come here at night! Tell your friends and enemies, this spot is not be missed!

Yelp
A little hard to find but worth the extra look. I am a breakfast person and went out of my way to find a really excellent breakfast in the entirety of the LV metro area. Buena came up in a couple of searches, in the must try category. I was acknowledged immediately and seated on a lovely little patio. It was 80 degrees at arrival and the patio was very comfortable. The menu is informative and easy to navigate. I found exactly what I wanted and it took just a few short minutes to arrive. The food was excellent and I was in and out in 30 minutes but didn't feel rushed. I had enough time to go and try another spot they were so quick. But of course the portion was plenty to fill me. I will be back!!

Yelp
Usually I come here for smoothies and shrimp tacos and I love them . I tried their Keto bowl this time and it was delicious! The customer service was is nice and the food is great

Yelp
Cute little place to have breakfast at, great customer service. They serve freshly cut and fried chips with an excellent spicy salsa. They have several daily specials, with great menu prices. We ordered: Chorizo burrito (The Mexico City) $10 Good size burrito with fluffy eggs and chorizo with freshly made guacamole and cotija cheese. 3 Quesobirria Tacos $11 (Specials) Nice crisp to the shells, gooey cheese and tender juicy beef Birria. Everything was fantastic will be back soon!!

Yelp
This little hidden gem is located in Desert Shores. I really didn't even know it was tucked away in this area. Outdoor seating was very nice on this Saturday morning even though it was about 90 degrees. They have a few misters and fans as well as screening to keep the parking lot noises and extra heat "outside" the outdoor seating area. The service was fantastic as well. Now onto my food. I ordered the Chilaquiles Carnitas (red) with scrambled eggs. The dish was served in an iron skillet and presented very well. The first bite revealed a perfectly executed Chilaquiles. The chips still had a little crunch to them and the carnitas was flavorful. I really enjoyed this meal. I forgot to take a picture of my meal, but I did get a pic of the seating area. I definitely recommend checking this place out for authentic Mexican breakfast/lunch menu.

Yelp
I came in waitress sat me gave 2 menus, and sat me. ready to order 10 min later Owner Manny says no one sat you there move to a single table which were dirty. No one said you can sit there. I got up n left. Embarrassed he look like a jerk I guess he no longer cares about his regular customers. Then he goes in n says something to his wife she looks at me thinking that she sat me. I will never give him business again! He never apologized to me. If I could rate a zero I would.

Yelp
I love they're green chilaquiles! My go to place for some Mexican breakfast and lunch! It's really hard to find a good Mexican restaurant in summerlin but I definitely found one. Great place to bring your kiddos.

Yelp
Food was average, service ok, ambiance was a hot patio off the front parking lot. ‍ Nothing special here.

Yelp
Food - 5 stars. Just had the best carne asada burrito in Vegas! The steak quality is fantastic, fresh guacamole, pico de gallo, black beans....flour tortilla is thin and they grill it. I'm from LA and by LA standard's this burrito is legit. Service - 5 stars. Very warm, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable! Ambiance -5 stars. Located at the village in Desert Shores, the spot is very cozy, covered outside tables...perfect for brunch and lunch w family/friends. Will be back here weekly! Fellow yelpers who love Mexican food, this is a must must try.

Dominick T.

Yelp
Very awesome out of the way place. Loved the breakfast skillet with asada def recommend

Emmy L.

Yelp
Food and service was amazing! We got sat down at a smaller 4 person table outside. The ceviche sushi was out of this world and super fresh! The pancakes and carne asada burrito were delicious. The coffee comes in a cute pottery cup. Also, get their smoothies, they're amazing! I hope one day they expand into an indoor seating restaurant. A must try if you're in the area!
google avatar

Rob M.

Yelp
Food is good. Service is quick. They moved two fans on us because it was 110 degrees outside. My negative - the coffee is not good. It is weak. They also need to serve real half and half.
google avatar

Reyna R.

Yelp
It's in a nice location and you can dine there as well! I grabbed take out! These chilaquiles are really delicious! I called ahead and they asked if I wanted them spicy which I liked! They also have them in green sauce! I got mine red and medium spicy! When I bit into it I loved that the egg yolk specifically looked nice and orange! I hate egg yolks that look a pale yellow! The sauce was so flavorful and they had black beans mixed in which was new to me but I enjoyed it! Also I think it was cheddar cheese but I also liked that they mixed it in with the tortilla! As for the service, I won't fully know until I dine in, but they seemed nice! I recommend trying them for sure!!

Yelp
By far this is one of my favorite places, this jewel, Mexican restaurant is by far one of the best here at Desert Shores. It's almost like a little hole in the wall getaway. The food here is amazing. Must try the Chilaquiles platter with Carne asada they make their own homemade salsa I like them both they have a red one and a green one conflicted on which one I like the most. They also sell it here. Highly recommended!

Yelp
First time visiting and yelp reviews didn't let us down. This place is awesome for breakfast. some of the best chilaquiles i have had. We are from texas and love chilaquiles. I the chilaquiles with asada and green sauce and wife has chilaquiles with chicken and green sauce. both were excellent but asada is better!!! Service was excellent by Jasmine and the ambience was great this is locals hidden spot but not anymore lol

Yelp
Great mexican breakfast, smoothies, and ice cream. This is a family owned restaurant, and the owners are so nice and take such pride in their food and Customer Service. We love to come get ice cream in the summer.

Yelp
After seeing all the great Yelp reviews we decided we should check this place out before we left Las Vegas. It is located in a small strip mall with other businesses and restaurants. We saw plastic walls as we walked up and remember from the pictures they have seating on the sidewalk area in front of the building. Inside the plastic you could see multiple propane heaters and tables. We went to the entrance of the building and there was no seating inside only a counter to pick up or place orders. We were asked if we were eating there and when we replied yes a young lady grabbed menus and took us to a table. We both thought this was a little different. We were brought waters, tortilla chips with salsa and pico as we perused the menu. The chips and salsa tasted homemade and fresh. My wife decided to get the carne asada burrito with no sour cream and I chose the Italian breakfast burrito. Our meals arrived a short while later and looked really good. We both enjoyed them but neither of us thought they were mind blowing. They were okay burritos at a fair price. We were not really sure why all the amazing reviews. It was a decent place and good food but 4 stars is where we feel it lands.

Kia M.

Yelp
Good food and affordable price. The chips and salasa are wonderful. Fresh juice options available. Outdoor eating area is cozy. Service is friendly.

Yelp
...5 star worthy but... I hate to take the last the star away because of service but...yeah Unfortunately yes I have to.. damn Ok the food was good near great the breakfast chilaquiles with asada and yeah the meat was tender and verde sauce was awesome. Now the bad... service wise I get it one waitress for I believe 8 to 10 tables a bit much especially on a Sunday but...here we go...I got sat down promptly no problem I understand it was just me waiting on Second person but it's breakfast and what is needed if your grown adult? COFFEE!!! Anyways I sat there good 10 min no COFFEE or water or chips smh The owner did pass by a few times and others including waitress...would have been nice to ask anything to drink while you wait? Maybe appetizers??? Upcharge correct? I finally flag owner down and response was we knew you were waiting on someone...still need COFFEE!!! Anyways it was good after that One other thing you might want to ask before you put cream on chips(which was nice for me) but I had a person who is allergic to dairy so he had to wait for Second round...again nice place would love to come back and try more food and I will... just have to have my first cup of coffee at home just in case lol

Yelp
Been enjoying the yummy tasty fantastic burritos here for over a year now so I thought an updated review is due. We've been here probably 7-8 times since November 2020. The carne asada burritos are THE best in town, hands down. It's only $11 for a huuuuge burrito (pics included this time) and is good for lunch and dinner for me. We usually get one of the carne asada and one of the carnitas (only $9!) but this time, we opted for both carne asadas (we're both set for lunch and dinner today). I ordered online and one nice thing about the process is that unlike some other places, the online ordering process doesn't charge you more for items than if you were to say call in the order. No price discrepancy. We got there ~5 min. after ordering so I waited a few minutes (I saw the carne asada grilling when I walked in), which was no problem seeing as they had 3-4 tables of customers seated outside on their cute little patio. Probably took about 10 min. total, which was fast (estimated time given when ready for pick up was 20-30 min). Service, as usual, was prompt and friendly. Soooo happy to have this little gem so close by our home.

Yelp
Was on the way to another restaurant in the area and noticed how many people were here so we decided to try this restaurant instead. So glad we did! Small menu and small place but big food flavor. Ordered the chicken enchiladas Christmas style and couldn't have been happier. Liked the sauces so much I bought extra to take home. Will definitely be back to try another menu item.

Ahjia M.

Yelp
Food, service, ambiance is always great! They have the best breakfast burritos and everything is always fresh.

Yelp
Brunch started with coffee and homemade chips with chipotle sauce. The coffee was high quality--freshly brewed, smooth, and with no bitterness. The chips were perfectly fried--great crisp without a greasy taste. We ordered the breakfast tostada and the chorizo omelette. The breakfast tostada was loaded with fresh guacamole, beans, seasoned pork, cabbage and two eggs. The flavors blended perfectly, and the portion was generous enough for an entire meal--a phenomenal value. The chorizo omelette was a little dry and the chorizo was more mild than expected. However, I was able to remedy both by covering the omelette with the chipotle sauce provided for the chips. The Last, our server, Bella, was exceptionally cheerful and attentive, which also enhanced our wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Found this via a google search as a recommended breakfast place. It's about 15/20 minutes from the strip and well worth it. When you sit down you are given fresh chips and delicious salsa! The burritos are very good and also huge! I couldn't even finish half of mine. This place is a hidden gem.

Yelp
Buena Vista Kitchen is located in Desert Shores in the same center and Americana. We used to live in Desert Shores and wish they had the restaurants that are there now. We sat at a nice table on the patio right in front. The patio has awnings and the ability to be enclosed. There were also heaters for colder weather and what looked to me like a mist system for those hot Las Vegas days. We ordered the Chicken Enchiladas with rice and beans and the Mexico City breakfast burrito with a side of Rice and beans. The enchiladas were covered with cheese and some of their great salsa. The Mexico City Burrito has Chorizo, Eggs, Jalapenos guacamole with cotija cheese. The brought some chips and salsa to start and that salsa was fire. So good when we left we bought a pint each of the red and the green. Use that salsa on your home made tacos and you really have something. Both meals were really good but that Mexico City burrito was awesome. The chorizo was perfect. It reminded me of the times we have scrambled eggs with chorizo to eat with flour tortillas, but taken to the next level. You do order and are served at the table but pay inside. The only glitch was that our server was a little on the slow side.

Yelp
Hidden Gem for Locals I feel stupid. Ive lived down the street for years and never checked this place out. Its very dog friendly. The menu has something for everyone. The staff is very nice. The patio is in the shade and comfortable. The food is great! Im still full from my breakfast burrito. And the salsa is the bomb. Will definitely be back. Its a great place to start your day.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much from the outside, and even less when walking inside. Seating is outside on a sidewalk covered with an awning, but the weather was very pleasant so it was a nice change of pace. There were little glass flamingo/swans with fake cacti in them adorning each table. The waitress was nice, but not very forthcoming with information. Was a little put off by the presentation of water with no ice in small blue cups. There was also what we identified as lemon pieces in the water. So if you do not like lemon in your water, be sure to let them know. Sodas come in the can as well and are served with plastic to-go cups. Not like most traditional brunch spots in Vegas, this one is an alcohol free environment. The menu is also much less extensive as most brunch spots in the area, but is also less expensive. The complimentary chips and salsa were served with sour cream and a small scoop of fresh pico de gallo on it - without notice, so again, if you don't enjoy those items, I recommend you notify the waitress before she brings it to the table. The salsa was tasty, but was delivered to the table with a plastic spoon floating in it. Overall, no complaints about our meals. The chileaquiles had good flavor, and is served in a skillet. The Cuban sandwich was tasty as well, however, the French fries were quite bland. The absence of salt and pepper shakers on each table quickly became painfully evident. Would I return? Probably not, but it is a cute little quiet spot for a quick brunch with no major frills.

Yelp
***Intro*** This was my wife and I's first visit to the Buena Vista Kitchen. We noticed it after a date night walking out of Americana (best new fine dining restaurant in the city) a few doors down. We decided to stop in when they were open as it is more of a brunch place. ***Location*** This quaint little restaurant has a beautiful patio with outside seating. It is situated in the restaurant row section of Desert Shores. There is ample parking, but the lot is often full. The outdoor seating area was spread out with plenty of heaters to keep you warm on a cool morning. ***Food*** After being seated we ordered the recommended Carne Asada Burrito for me and the Carne Asada Chilaquiles with Green Salsa for the wife. We were also treated with a small complimentary chips and salsa which was amazing. The green salsa was outstanding and so was the red which was a bit spicier. When the food arrived, I was impressed by the large portions. The burrito was outstanding. Tender flavorful Carne Asada in abundance and when I tried my wife's chilaquiles my taste buds about burst. It was simply the best Chilaquiles I have ever had, and I have had a lot. ***Service*** The service here made you feel like royalty. The two chefs (said Chef on their aprons) seated us, took our orders, and brought us the complimentary chips. ***Prices*** I believe we spent $11 on each meal for just over $22 and we were stuffed. The wife could only eat half her plate. A very good buy for the area. ***Summary*** If you like Mexican fair, do not miss this place. The food quality was outstanding and coupled with the decent prices, you will not find a better deal in this part of town. If you are a foodie and have not tried this place, you are missing out!

Yelp
Tried out the breakfast burrito for first time. Got the Italian sausage flavor and was surprised by the huge size. Packed with eggs and melted cheese. On point. Took it out to the lake near by to enjoy it with a view. Ended up saving half for later.

Yelp
Rarely do we eat twice at the same place in Vegas. But we rented a car and found a 5 star breakfast place and the next morning, the menus we were seeing didn't look great so we headed back. This place has great coffee in authentic Mexican ceramic mugs, awesome skillets, and wonderful pancakes and crepes. Not fancy service but very friendly and polite. I complemented the chef on the Carne Asada in the skillet, he was proud to make it fresh daily.
google avatar

Dan P.

Yelp
So I really wanted to give them another 5 star review to keep the rating perfect, but then I got food poisoning and lost like 10% of my body weight in two days and their Chile Relleno was the only thing I ate. So now I'm afraid to ever eat a Chile Relleno again...and definitely won't go back to Buena Vista Kitchen again.

Yelp
I almost did not want to do this review, as I felt we had discovered a little gem right here in Las vegas, and selfishly did not want to share. Ah, but I will. this cute establishment has under cover, but still outside seating. The decor is Latin-Tropical with a slight garden vibe. No problem as they have plenty of fans blowing air in the Summer, and heaters for the Winter. It's located in the heart of the Desert Breeze district on the Westside that borders Summerlin. If you are not familiar with this complex of man-made lakes, you will be glad when you check it out. The food is some of the best Mexican we have had in Las Vegas, with a slight lean to healthier options. They happily accommodate our current Keto diets. They have healthy bowls and skillets. Everything is fresh and tasty. The salsa is fantastic. This is a breakfast and lunch place, and each day, they have specials. The service is great here, and the Chef, Manny, takes great pride in preparing dishes. I am not blowing smoke here, when I tell you this my new favorite little cafe in town. I recommend the Chile rellenos as they are the best!

Yelp
Yes, yes, yes! This place is so good and very reasonable for pricing. They should charge more for how good it is. Great service, quick service and very friendly. Come here for breakfast or lunch.

Yelp
Time after time, BVK always impresses. Perhaps the best breakfast burrito in town. The green salsa is a must add to any order. Surf and turf nachos?!?! Yes! Chicken, steak, pork, shrimp on homemade chips! Yesterday, as we were complimenting Manny, the chef and owner, on how consistently great the food is, we learned that his kitchen was simultaneously working on multiple catering jobs totaling 1000 people. Amazing!

Yelp
One of my fav brunch spots in Summerlin. Service time is normal, environment is friendly, and the food is at a great price/served in solid portions. Will def be back again!

Yelp
Delicious food and cute little patio. We will definitely be back for breakfast. I had the Mexico burrito and my husband had hurvos rancheros.

Yelp
Love this outdoor hidden sidewalk eatery. Also good service and great food. I grew up in this neighborhood as a kid and this area used to be dead. Now it's alive with business.
