"What's new Buenos Aires? I'm new - I want to say, I'm just a little stuck on you!"
Traveling through North Beach and hungry, but don't quite want a heavy or full plated meal? This would be the spot to stop. A combination bakery, coffeehouse, meeting place, that brings you a taste of the far away land which gave us Lionel Messi, Gabriela Sabatini, and Manu Ginobili. Their menu is extensive and includes pizza, salads, burgers, and milanesas. But the real stars are the pastries, the miga sandwiches, and the coffee.
If you're in the mood for breakfast, their croissant sandwich (scrambled eggs with cheese) with a coffee is a favorite for folks on the go. Feeling a bit more of a leisurely pace? Then, a hot chocolate with three "sweet media lunas" is what you want. I'm a sucker for empanadas, and they have a whole selection available (hot or cold).
Lunch is always a rush here, and their cold sandwiches are a hit, especially the "miga sandwiches". They come packaged and ready for those folks on the clock. If you've got more time, the staff will toast them for you, which is how I recommend you have them. Melted cheesy goodness has no equal in this town.
The staff is friendly, helpful, and will do their best to take care of you, especially during the breakfast and lunch rushes. Be patient with them, and tip in cash! The bakery is now located right on 71st Street; If you show up at their old location on Collins, there are signs pointing you to their new location.
"Wait 'til they hear about this in Argentina!"
Until nest time, SYOY!!!!
