Buffalo Lodge Bike Resort is such a fun place to stay. The old west/Route 66 feel (even though it’s not actually on Route 66) is charming, the rooms are nicely updated, and the bicycle-centric theme throughout really lends to its charm. The nostalgia of real door keys (not key cards) on diamond shaped plastic key rings was a nice touch. We are active group ride cyclists, and had our own bikes with us, so the Buffalo Lodge Bike Tribe’s 20-mile Saturday Morning ride to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and back was a highlight of our stay. (They ride to different destinations on different Saturdays). We also enjoyed the live outdoor music, drinks and food trucks on Friday and Saturday nights. It really gave us great opportunities to connect with the other guests and locals (and their well-behaved dogs). The resort has a great community feel to it that you don’t get when you stay in a large chain hotel. The resort is close to so many great attractions, Garden of the Gods is just up the hill and very bikeable if you start out really early in the morning before the traffic picks up, Manitou Springs is right down the street, and Pikes Peak is a fascinating, if a little challenging, 45 minute drive away. For casual biking (if you don’t bring your own bikes) the resort has an array of bicycles that guests can use, and for more extensive rides there is an e-bike rental vendor on site (at least for the two morning we were there). The heated pool looked nice, but with so many options of things to do close by, we never actually had time to enjoy it. The late July weather was great with highs around 90, but cooling off rapidly into the 50’s and 60’s in the evenings. The staff was nice and very helpful, the breakfast was good, and we would recommend this place to anyone looking for more than just a sterile big chain hotel, and especially to cycling enthusiasts.

We had a wonderful stay at the historic Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort. The staff is fabulous. We loved the unique charming atmosphere, live music, the “Watering Hole bar local beer selection, the waffles, and perfect location. We will definitely come again.

Can't beat the location of the hotel if you are wanting to visit Garden of the Gods for hiking or cycling or running. Rooms are really designed for storing your bikes inside which is rare and wonderful! There is also a bike repair shop on the grounds. Rooms are basic and comfortable. The wifi signal wasn't the best though. Had to stand next to the window or outside the room to get a strong signal. Buffalo Lodge is just a super friendly place and perfect for families with kids. The staff were all incredibly helpful and welcoming starting with our check in with Noelle. We had some disruption in our travel plans and Sarah went out of her way to help us out. When we are out this way again we will definitely stay at Buffalo Lodge.

This is the place to be!!! Super awesome vibes, clean and comfortable rooms, and the bed was the most luxurious I have ever been on. Sarah, Noelle, and the whole staff were amazing - accommodating all of our needs and making our stay fantastic. Right at the base of Garden of the Gods, you are poised to have a beautiful biking adventure with little effort. Stop deciding and just book with Buffalo Lodge and enjoy the hell out of your stay! Thank you to everyone there for a great time!

Great place to stay if you enjoy the outdoors! Kids had a blast and it is centrally located to various spectacular views and outings. Staff was extremely nice and helpful! Our AC was not cooling and it was replaced and taken care of within 10 min. First time visiting Colorado and this place did not disappoint! Highly recommend this place!

Google
Quaint, casual and rustic (historic?)Southwest-Taos style, this place charmed us at first. It's in a very busy area of almost-Manitou yet feels private with its own little street, adequate parking, and separate casitas. Our casita/suite was a partly updated space with newish furnishings. The pool was nice and the old lodge-office a welcoming place. However... We came with 3 school-age grandkids and it became obvious this is lodging for very active people; not necessarily families and esp not for seniors who want some luxury and ease. Our suite had issues that made it uncomfortable: a TINY kid-size toilet, the only liv rm seating a worn loveseat (for 5 guests?!), one-bar wifi or less for tv/connectivity. Tv placed under the a/c unit so when it did connect, you couldn't hear it. The queen bed was soft as a marshmallow, not great for any support. Badly needed hooks for towels and swimsuits in the bathroom. The bfast was a bare minimum effort and poorly laid-out. A small bar in the lodge with tons of alcohol in cooler but no snacks or juices to purchase, anywhere (no stores nearby) Staff okay- young and pleasant. There's Happy Hour and live music (when weather permits) which isn't fam-friendly. Overall, our kids liked the bunks, waffles and pool but that's it - we would not stay here again, even as a couple.

Wonderful place to stay! Second time staying here. Cozy room and nicely decorated. Comfy bed and clean room. Staff here is great! Highly recommend. The breakfast isn’t fancy but completely perfect for the morning. Waffles were yummy and good protein options of boiled eggs and yogurts. Definitely will come again if in the area.

My family stayed at the buffalo lodge during 4th of July weekend! This place had such a cool vibe! Once you learn the history… it makes it even cooler! The heated pool and sand volley pit were perfect for my little kids! If you like vintage, fun, family friendly and a summer camp vibe. This is the place!

Yelp
What a gem! Such a fun place to stay. The staff were so welcoming. The room was super cute and the bed was so comfy. We toured the new Glamping tents, and will definitely stay in one next time. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We had a wonderful time at the Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort. From check in to check out. The front office and lodge was the cutest most adorable place I have stayed. The fire place in the evening having drinks and the continental breakfast was very nice. Oliver was awesome from the moment we arrived. He even served us at the Watering Hole during happy hour. Yes! Happy hour every evening. We loved this place and will return.

Yelp
My only hesitation writing a glowing review is I don't want everyone to know about this place! Everything about it is magical. The only place I stay when I'm down in that area. Thank you for always making us feel welcome, and great music in the lounge!!!

Yelp
A beautiful bicycle friendly gem of a lodge. Super friendly staff, clean rooms, entertainment and ambiance! Absolutely loved the stay and felt so at home. Plenty of room for your bikes in the room and easy to roll out to amazing rides on and off road from the lodge!

Yelp
We loved it here! The atmosphere was so cute and cozy! We arrived on a Sunday during their happy hour so they had complimentary soda and snacks. The host at the front counter was so nice! Bikes at the front are all complimentary! If you want to ride them off property, you'll have to sign them out essentially. The room was clean! We went to the pool for a while and it was very nice! They had various types of chairs to sit and relax in. We are already talking about coming back next year!

Yelp
Cute place, Friendly people, Free Bike Rentals, Comfy Bed, Fun Place, and super close to Garden of the Gods. Only thing we weren't crazy about was the ac unit. Our room was hot even with the heater off. We tried to use the cool air on auto but it was a bit noisy when it would turn on and off. We considered leaving the window open, but thought it best not, since no screens. Regardless though, we would stay here again. The price was right and we enjoyed our stay.

Yelp
It was a perfect girls getaway! The staff, the room and the amenities were a perfect Colorado staycation for us!

Yelp
What a gem! Historic buildings recently renovated, so the interiors are clean and modern, without being overdone and bougie. Love the low-key, relaxed vibe, and all of the bike-themed decor. Lovely coffee bar that transforms into a cocktail bar, perfect for grabbing refreshments all day long. The live music on site, plus the outdoor pool, volleyball net, fire pits and free bikes make this place perfect for families with kids, girlfriend getaways, and couples wanting a playful outing. Love the proximity to Garden of the Gods... we ended up walking there vs. biking and enjoyed a 4-mile journey with so many great photos taken.

Yelp
I enjoyed my time at this get-away Simple yet very peaceful and welcoming in nature. Very good service

Mary G.

Yelp
Really cute, very close to the back entrance to Garden of the Gods. Deer visited us for breakfast. It is older and has a great deal of character. Interiors are nicely redone. I have traveled a lot for business and leisure... and the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. Loved it.

Yelp
This place puts the Rad in Colorado. Nice job guys! Feels like you're smack dab in a wild west town. Seriously cute little property with all the things; heated pool, volleyball, covered picnic tables and an amazing lodge. They also offer hikes and have bikes you can borrow. The rooms are comfortable and modern. Staff are super friendly and considerate. Enjoyed local libations at the precious bar in the lodge. The breakfast was yummy with fantastic waffles! Snagged the last boiled egg myself though, so don't be late. Highly recommend this quaint establishment. A grand Colorado experience.

Yelp
I do not recommend this place if you like boring blah chain hotels. It's not that. If you want a place with style and charm, This is where you should be. History with a huge helping of badassery. We don't bicycle, So we didn't use that particular amenity, But it's there and cool as hell!

Stacy T.

Yelp
We loved it here! Great staff, room was really clean, bed was very comfortable, atmosphere is fabulous, and grabbing a bike to cruise ar town was icing on the cake! This will be our go-to place to stay in the future!

Yelp
My very favorite hotel/lodge for the last several years. I literally plan a weekend in Manitou Rings ever so often, just to stay here. They were recently voted the #1 hotel in Colorado Springs!

Yelp
My girlfriend and I stayed two nights here. Given the overwhelmingly high reviews I was expecting a lot more. Since this is a mostly negative review I'll start off with the positives. The location is amazing, you are right next to garden of the gods. There's a heated pool and it was very clean. This place takes its bicycles seriously and has group ride events sometimes. The staff are nice and the breakfast was pretty good when they had all of their items (more on that later). There's a microwave, coffee maker (with kpods) and mini fridge in each room. Now for the negatives. There are no clothes irons or hair dryers in the rooms. You are required to get these from the front desk and the front desk closes at 9:00 p.m. These are standard in most hotels and having to request access is a pain. The rooms are very poorly renovated. There is no countertop space in the bathroom, there is no side tables by the beds, and worst of all there is a 1 inch lip between the bedroom and the bathroom. I guarantee one day somebody will break their toe on this lip. This is against building code in most places. I have added a photo to my review, I highly recommend that a slope be added and yellow tape be used to mark the area. When you check in you are given a physical key, these keys cost $50 to replace if lost. This is an absurd amount of money for a key that is likely regularly lost. The hotel is behind the times with technology and should be using replaceable key cards, but is instead transferring the cost onto the guest. Breakfast items offered are boiled eggs (sometimes), toast, english muffins, waffles, cereal and yogurt. The boiled eggs were not available for one of our days. As others have said, the floors were very dirty. They needed swept and they were sticky. I walked around only with socks on. Housekeeping only comes once every 3 days so if you need any more towels or coffee or anything else you will have to go to the front desk, which is again only open till 9:00 p.m. The place is located right next to a horse barn so it smells of manure a lot of the time. The outside of the buildings have an abandoned look. There is paint peeling, the roofs look completely worn. Etc. The remodel certainly did not include the outside of the buildings. Parking is parallel parking right in front of your room, but there's only enough space for one car per building, so others will have to park in overflow parking which is further away. This also leads to a bit of fighting for parking spots. This is a very poor design in my opinion, I think lines should be painted diagonally and room numbers shown so that parking can be more organized

Yelp
Amazing property & staff! As a local I cherish my "staycations" at the Lodge! Always so much fun

Theresa M.

Yelp
This place needs some TLC. The AC wasn't working properly and was leaking from the rain. The room was hot and I couldn't get a window open and I didn't want to leave the door open because it smelled like pee outside. The bathroom fan wasn't working so the bathroom was completely wet with water running down the walls. The parking lot is all dirt so it is tracked into the room constantly. The parking was tight and not outside the room because someone else was using our spot. The fruit i. the lobby was rotten. The girls in the office - Sandy and Zandy were super sweet otherwise I might have lost my mind staying there. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to stay. I wish we would have. I expected more for $211 per night. Craziness and so disappointing. I can't believe people are posting good reviews about this place!

DS P.

Yelp
We liked it! The place is funky, fun, laid back, and very close to the Garden of the Gods. We didn't know what to expect from a "bicycle-centric" hotel, but I wish we had 2 nights scheduled for Colorado Springs. We'd definitely come back and stay at this place. Already sent a recommendation note to a friend who frequents Colorado. Although we had an efficiency, we appreciated the breakfast spread. If we had stayed another night, I know our evening would have been spent playing one of the many games available as well as hitting the pool. Fortunately we arrived in time for the free yoga session. The teacher was great. After a day of flying/driving, my body needed the stretching.

Jonathan T.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I stayed here last night and it was great. Everyone working at the lodge were very friendly and had great attitudes. Live music was great. The location is perfect. It is an older property but they did a great job on the renovations and it just nice to support a small business and have a different experience than the big box hotels. We both really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Yelp
Hands down the BEST place to stay in the Springs. Dont bother with the chain hotels! I have to say it was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in - in any hotel. The area is quiet, the staff is FANTASTIC! Breakfast is delicious and have a wonderful coffee bar complete with Americano's!!! I will stay here again and again with my many trips to the Springs. Please dont go anywhere else this is a gem!!!

Yelp
Our stay at Buffalo Lodge far exceeded our expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening music and calm ambience. It was the perfect stay for our young family and will absolutely be back!

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Loved the room. They even had bikes we could use.. Close to The Garden of the Gods. We left to early the next day so didn't get breakfast. And it was open Mic. But after our hike, we were done. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
Ugh!!! I just love this place so much. It's unique and fun and really gives you the sense of community they have built up in this area. Wonderful live music and great clean rooms. The rooms are small and basic but honestly perfect for a night of sleep while you cruise around the town and mountains. We started staying at this hotel due to how close it is to the incline and now it is our go to hotel whenever we are in the area. The staff is amazing and kind. Will continue to stay here in the years to come.

Sarah A.

Yelp
We absolutely loved our stay at Buffalo Lodge. My husband is a cyclist so we chose it for the cycling theme and it did not disappoint. The staff is exceptional. Guests gathered nightly in the Watering Hole for drinks and to chat. There is a bartender in the evenings but families also took advantage of a shelf of board games. In the mornings there is a very nice buffet. Open Mike night was awesome, get there early to grab a seat. Garden of the Gods is right around the corner. We also drove up to Pikes Peak and enjoyed shopping and meals in Manitou Springs. We had a suite with a kitchen (stove, fridge, sink and table). There is a nice pool that families were enjoying and plenty of open space for relaxing and playing. There are loaner bikes daily and an e-bike rental on site 6 days a week. Whether you are a cyclist or not, if you like funky, independent places that make you feel like family, you will love Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort.

Yelp
We were very disappointed at our recent stay at this "resort." We picked this lodging due to the positive reviews so I feel compelled to share our recent stay so others won't be blindsided like we were and had to scramble for lodging the remainder of our week long vacation. These are the points that I feel are misleading from reading other reviews and from their website. 1. "Each of our rooms have been completely refurbished..." Well, if this is true it looks like an update is needed. The place looked like it was falling apart- the AC wall units sounded like they were about to die. The AC units were extremely LOUD. The unit on the side had a black layer on it. I was too afraid to explore further what it was but obviously housekeeping is not doing their job. After a few hours of being on the premises my standards just plummeted. Bring your ear plugs. Also the units never really cooled the room off. It wasn't until 4am that the room was cool enough cause the outdoor temperature cooled off. Yes, I was up at 4am, opened the front door and felt cooler temps and smelled the aroma of horse manure. Sounds like a vacation doesn't it? All of the renovation looked like it was amateurish, sloppy and cheap. 2. "Historical charm..." Seriously? I felt no historical charm whatsoever. I felt like I was in a mobile home park. The neighborhood surrounding the resort felt "ghetto." The resort is right next to a riding stable so there is a constant aroma of manure on the premises. 3. "Location..." honestly, there are better hotels that are less expensive that are a block away. The location of this place is nothing special. If anything the location (next to a horse stable) is a weak point. After a horrible first (and only) night at Buffalo Lodge we stayed the next night at the Holiday Inn Express. The experience was night and day. We actually got a good night's rest. The HIE had quiet AC units that actually cooled the room temp down. It had edible and plentiful breakfast choices. The HIE is a newer hotel so yes, it does lack the "historical charm" but it was full of the modern amenities you expect in 2024. I honestly could go on and on about other grievances but I think they have been mentioned in other reviews (dirty floors, small bathroom, etc...). I hope this honest review helps others so they know what to expect when they stay at the Buffalo Lodge Resort. We paid over $250 for the one night stay. Don't be fooled like we were. I honestly don't understand how this place gets any POSITIVE reviews. How did this place get voted as one of the best places to stay in Colorado Springs? I hope your stay is better than ours was. Plan your stay and expectations accordingly.

Yelp
Excellent place to enjoy an indoor camping adventure. The bike theme makes it fun. Walking distance to garden of Gods without crossing any major streets. Stayed a week, and it was a great place for the kids to hang out/ walk around in a safe environment in between our adventures (board games, ping pong, pool, sand volleyball, lots of area to run around). Bar and bands play Friday (simple and homey) yoga on Tuesday and Thursday. And of course the bicycle rides (you'll want your own bike for these.) From a price standpoint this was a good deal. It is kept clean. But we did need to do a little additional cleaning (We take shoes off when inside.) Understand it is a little run down such as paint chipping, doors not working so great, low water pressure, etc. But overall we were happy and would return.

Abby S.

Yelp
We stayed at Buffalo Lodge for two nights. Overall a great stay. The beds were probably the cleanest and most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The atmosphere was great, and customers service on point. The only slight negatives were one the breakfast was very limited and had little to no protein, pretty much just sugar and carbs. The bikes that you were free to use had very uncomfortable bike seats. I would still recommend this place to anyone, hopefully will be back when visiting family.

Jeraka I.

Yelp
We loved the atmosphere. The front desk workers did an amazing job with any and all questions that we had. The lodge activities and bikes were a hit for our group My only complaint would be the cleanliness. We booked 3 rooms but ended up trying 4 different rooms. All bathroom floors (behind door, toilet, around sink) dirty and gross. One toilet looked like it never was cleaned around the rim. One room the bunk bed sheets were not clean. All rooms could use and need a deep cleaning. Surface looks good as you walk in but once you look around it is not the cleanest. Overall on stay I would give it 5 stars but cleanness would be a 1 star.

Chris R.

Yelp
We had a great time at Buffalo Lodge. Location was convenient to many activities. My issues would be, we stayed 5 nights and were never asked about having room cleaned, picking up dirty towels or have trash taken out of room. We did take our dirty towels to the office to pick up clean towels once during our stay. They had envelopes in the rooms to leave a housekeeping tip which seemed odd to me especially, since we had three different rooms and the bathrooms all needed a SERIOUS DEEP CLEANING. Would have given a 5 star if bathrooms were in better shape and cleaned.
google avatar

Tina T.

Yelp
This is a cozy hidden gem. The rooms a very cute. Each room has a bicycle theme. The beds are comfortable and they have white clean linens. Don't let the outside rustic look fool you, this is a hidden gem. A light breakfast is included in the price.

Yelp
Great location! The Lodge is literally right down the street within walking distance from Garden of the Gods, and everything Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs is close by. Our room was clean and comfortable, heat and air conditioning worked extremely well, and water pressure in the shower was great. The use of bikes was an added bonus, and we loved getting to cycle around the Garden of the Gods. The owner and her staff were friendly and helpful with any questions we had about the area, and we even had Easter eggs on our doorstep on Easter morning! This was a wonderful find.

Selita P.

Yelp
The lodge was very different we loved that. the bed was comfortable and the unit was clean there was not vent in the bathroom so it stayed damp and stinky breakfast was ok but I felt like all the people digging into the same butter, jelly, Nutella , etc was not only gross but dangerous for most people especially any that are immunocompromised like my husband

Yelp
Literally have no idea how this place got such high reviews. If you want the bare minimum, you may as well stay at a Motel 8, you'd get the same experience but for cheaper and maybe better customer service. The tv didn't work our first night, we were told maintenance left and we were SOL. The WiFi doesn't connect to any rooms unless you're sitting in the front desk area. Having two young kiddos, this wAs a big deal at night after getting back from a long day is outdoor adventures. In the morning, we went to speak with office about our issues, the chick was incredibly rude at first then lightened up after I said we are fine staying if we can get a room that actually has the amenities we are paying for. No compensation was given, no partial refund for the first night, not even an apology. I was the one who offered up a solution of switching rooms. Customer service was a miss. I did give a few stars for the cute bikes that you could borrow and ride around town. However, it did take a few tries to find one that would actually break to stop. Buuut it did make a nice addition. We wanted so badly to love this place, the idea is cute, the execution is awful.

Yelp
If you love to bike and like a rustic lodge feel, this is the place! We booked a three night stay here and the room was recently renovated, unfortunately, we could not stay and had to leave. There is a bar and patio onsite and I think it would been fun to hang out and learn more about this lodge. The owner was super nice and accommodating when we told her we needed to check out shortly after checking in. I think this is a great place VERY close to Garden of the gods!

Mary H.

Yelp
Such a great place!!! So unique but very clean and homey!!! Front desk folks are so kind and helpful!!! And the free breakfast was perfect!! I highly recommend the Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort!

Yelp
This stay at the Buffalo Lodge was our second as my husband and I attended the Uppa Downa Folk and Flannel Folk Festival, which was hosted by the Lodge, for a second consecutive year. Yes, the festival and Buffalo Lodge stay were so incredible year one, we had to go back for seconds! The Lodge is a mix of two worlds, with a 100 plus year old structure, that looks like an old town in Mexico, with modern, bicycle friendly room interiors that are spacious and equipped with very comfy beds! We opted for lodging with a full kitchen and sofa, and loved the extra space for our three day stay. Breakfast is included, with fresh made waffles, cereals, yogurt and hard boiled eggs, among other standard fare available. It is so nice to have your morning coffee and meal just steps away from your lodging. The Buffalo Lodge if a fun place to stay. It's rustic (Teddy Roosevelt frequented it, back in the day). It is old, new and everything in between, mostly unique and charming, with a few quirks to be worked out. But, if that appeals to you, it is a place to love. It is kid friendly, with a pristine heated pool, wonderful grounds and is located close to hiking, biking, Garden of the Gods, dining, the zoo and all of The Springs. We are planning to make Folk and Flannel and a stay at the Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort an annual event.

Tobin B.

Yelp
Every time I come to Colorado Springs, Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort is my "home away from home". They have done a great job refurbishing this antique resort. I look forward to my next visit. If they have "Flippin" Hibachi" as a food truck vendor on a Friday or Saturday night, by all means stay and have a meal with them.

Yelp
This is a quaint and spacious lodge that is great for weary travellers. Less than 2 miles away is the garden of the gods. The owner is very welcoming and accommodating to our schedule. There are thoughtful accommodations in the room like a microwaves, dishes, utensils, and wifi. Would definitely stay here again!

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
Let me tell you about the Buffalo Lodge Bicycle resort! It was amazing! Just amazing! I had so many questions before I arrived and they answered in a timely manner and were very friendly! We wanted a bigger cabin and they adjusted our stay with no issues! We wanted an extra night added once we got there... they held the room until we knew for sure! Had questions about local restaurants... gave us a list of some amazing choices!! I met Scott, Ollie, Meg and I think Sarah! They were all amazing and so friendly!! When I needed extra supplies for our 5 night stay they gave them to us right away! They had a band 4 nights in a row! A new band every night and it was so much fun!! They had a cash bar with some yummy drinks! Both with and without alcohol!! I met the owners mom on the dance floor! So kind! My daughter loved the heated pool!! The kiddos played a little sand volleyball under the pretty patio lights!! Our bed was super comfortable and I thought the room and sheets were very clean! They did offer breakfast and coffee but we had so many local places we wanted to visit on our stay!! So we did not enjoy the free breakfast provided! The lodge is literally 2 minutes from Garden of the Gods!! The lodge was quiet at night and the band never played past 9! Win for us as we got up early each day! We plan to stay here again very soon! We have stayed several places in this area and this is the best one by FAR!!! We won't be staying anywhere else! Rooms are remodeled on the inside! Don't let the rustic outside of the buildings keep you from staying at this cute and friendly place!! Thanks for a great stay!!

Yelp
Super quaint room right next to Garden of the Gods park. Being next to the mountains made for an extremely peaceful night. The lodge has a small bar and a breakfast area during the mornings.

Sara K.

Yelp
Staff was friendly. Tiny bathroom. No room in the bathroom for toiletries. You have to request a hairdryer, not in the room standardly! Towel rack falling out of the wall. Baseboards were filthy. We requested our room to be cleaned after 3 days and no one came, despite being told that was their policy, on the 3rd day they come and clean. I stayed 5 nights and not once did they come! I had to go to the office to get my own fresh linens. They told me to set out my garbage and they would pick it up. 24 hours later it was still there. I took it to the trash myself. Hot breakfast is only waffles. Don't expect meat or hot eggs. Only hard boiled eggs. I had a one bedroom unit and the wall unit in the kitchen did not heat the bedroom, so they had a portable heater to heat the room. It never regulated so i had to wake up all night long and turn it on and off as the thermostat on it didn't work. So I don't know how they got this high of reviews. I was very disappointed!

Yelp
This place is so awesome. It's what I imagined Route 66 to be like back in the better days. If you hooked on nature and the open road you have to stay here. I stayed up late with a bunch of strangers at the lounge and walked back to my room. Very family friendly. I can't wait to bring my daughter here for a bike trip.

Yelp
I stayed here on my way to Pikes Peak(which is less than 20 min away). I had no idea what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised by the location and staff. The place sits in a good location with restaurants and entertainment venues nearby. Speaking of entertainment, they have outdoor activities like corn hole, a pool, and a picnic area. I had a chance to talk to the owner and their plans for renovations and more activities sound amazing. I'm totally coming back for another stay! It's a great place for families and an even better place for cyclists!

Yelp
Fun location in the old town area. Great bicycle theme. I LOVE that is woman owned, son supported. Rooms are only moderately "renovated". Staff was moderately helpful. I appreciated the reasonable price (with continental breakfast included). Felt safe. It was a nice quiet area and room. Beds were so-so.

Yelp
Super cute and clean place. Don't let the outside deter you. It's tucked nicely in Manitou. And has the comfiest bed I've ever slept on in a hotel. Would stay any time simply because of the bed lol.

Yelp
My teenage children and I were in town for a wedding and thought this would be a fun place to stay. We were not disappointed. Our room was clean and cozy with very comfortable beds. Breakfast was great. The staff was exceptional and succeeded in fostering a sense of community on the grounds. This resort is in a phenomenal location, close to many of the area's attractions. I wish we had been able to stay longer because there was so much we wanted to do. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Don't be taken aback by the exterior. It's like going back in time to a ghost town or an alley of horse drawn carriages. This place is absolutely perfect and so peaceful. Their staff is amazing. The location is also close to all the points we wanted to explore. I would highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Great place, it looks old from the outside but the updates are nice. The rooms are very clean and the staff is wonderful
