"Fortuna, which — as noted by Hoodline — boasted an eclectic menu of dim sum, sushi, and seafood served in a buffet-style setting, temporarily shuttered as the coronavirus crisis began. (Local food writer Momo Chang once characterized Fortuna as 'pretty lit,' reserving praise for its buffet-style hot pot and baked yams.) Now, with the future of buffets in the balance as the pandemic continues, it’s unclear if or when it might reopen." - Eve Batey

Was in Chinatown today. Heard that the buffet at Buffet Fortuna was pretty good so I decided to give them a try. Walked in for lunch. Lunch for an adult costed $11.99 or $10.95 for seniors. They have ample seating and 7 rows of assorted foods. One row was all salads, another was all seafood, then dim sums, vegetarian dishes, a variety of sushi platters, another row of carbohydrates ie. jook, yam, red bean dessert and hot and sour soup and finally a row of Asian desserts. For that price, tea, coffee, soft drinks as well as a mango slushie was included. I also saw some one having icecream, but I was too stuffed to eat anymore. They were constantly bringing out fresh food. Come here for a decent choice of food at a budget price. I would give them 3.5 stars because the servers were friendly (I spoke Chinese to them.) However, parking may be challenging to some.

Hotpot was decent. Seafood was the best type of food to have there. Noodles are flavorful. Stay away from the dessert and other things. Atmostphere is the worst. Customers are rude and will fight over seafood. Hostess and waitress service will treat you like you are up to no good due to their location area. May go back just for seafood but everything is awful.

Recently celebrated a party here. Food was good and plentiful. Lots of traditional selections and ample options for a more tempered palate.

This place was chosen for my brother's memorial dinner. The group is 20+ was accommodated with a nice space not normally available. The food was good and everyone could have what they wanted, good Chinese food. We were able to show a video of my brother' life. Go there!

If you're looking for a fast and dependable buffet, perfect place for you. Inexpensive and not dirty, but definitely not super well maintained. The options were okay, but definitely not for vegetarians. For what it's worth, the coffee was quite delicious, and the buffet price includes unlimited drinks!

We were headed to the Cambodian restaurant next door that had good reviews, and we saw this Chinese buffet full of Asian people -- usually a good sign. The food here was disgusting. The selection was decent and they even had lobster but, with the exception of a couple dishes that I'd consider "edible," the food was terrible. Don't waste your $20.
