"This biscuit shop opened in the midst of the COVID 19 pandemic and quickly amassed a following. Biscuit sandwiches are the main draw, ranging from the signature — loaded with sweet tea brined chicken, collards, and a whole grain mustard velouté — to the Nashville hot chicken or the “Blue Ridge,” with shaved country ham smothered in fondue. Buford’s also offers a gravy flight that features mushroom, ham, and sausage bases. Order takeout online here." - Aparna Krishnamoorthy

My first impression: quaint and comforting. It's in a great location on Loudoun Street, on the left as you are driving into downtown Leesburg. You enter through the front door of the Cape Cod and there is either seating outside or to the left as you walk through the door. It definitely resonates with Southern Comfort. The menu is simple, which I prefer, it's above the counter on a chalkboard. I ordered The Virginian, it is a huge biscuit type handheld sandwich with country ham, cheddar cheese and honey butter. The sweetness of the honey butter went well with the saltiness of the ham. They have all kinds of drinks to choose from and sides as well. The wait for the food wasn't long and I took it to go in a brown paper bag with handles. The employees definitely have Southern manners and kindness. Loved the decor as well. Side note: there is a "powder room" (bathroom) on location.

I knew I was going to like this place when I saw that they brine their chicken in sweet tea and only use chicken thighs. And wow was that chicken delicious. The biscuit was good but not as good as I had hoped. It was rather dense and dry in the middle, but it's one big biscuit so I guess that shouldn't surprise me. I really, really liked their chipped beef gravy with the biscuits and would definitely order that again. Their mac and cheese was good yet still leaves you wanting more due to the small portion size. The one thing I did not enjoy was the hush puppies. Not that or the butter it came with.. just wasn't for me. Their service was fantastic and next time I find myself in Leesburg before 2pm I'm definitely going back for that chicken.

We got the breakfast biscuit. One bacon, one sausage. They put mustard on them, so I asked for sausage gravy instead. 10/10 on fluffy interior and lightly crunchy exterior for the biscuits. The bacon one had mustard and it was a nice barely there tap of flavor. The sausage on the biscuit had the real spice, but not unpleasantly so. The sausage gravy was amazing!!! One word to the wise, these are big meals so either come hungry or come with someone to share.

I have been a patron of this place since it opened. The quality of everything they serve is very high. I appreciate that they take their time to ensure your order will be perfect. Honestly, even the coffee they serve is of top quality and quite tasty (I'd rather drink their coffee than that of some of the local coffee shops). The chicken they serve is delicious due to their brine. I typically order the Nashville biscuit and it has always been delicious. Sometimes it's spicier than others (made fresh daily), today was extra spicy which I really enjoyed, the cole and house brined pickles balance it out just right. We also had a Cure biscuit today, man, the gravy, poached egg, and chicken were on freaking point, just plain good. It's a place I make an effort to recommend to others and bring family when they visit. I highly recommend it just for the food. I could also recommend it just based on the folks that work there, they are always kind and inviting, especially Charles. The quality and taste are worth the price. Great place!

The biscuit is not bad. I find the egg on mine a bit fishy and the biscuit didn’t taste as buttery as expected. The portion was big but I think the flavor was lacking. I went on a Saturday morning and the wait time was about 20 minutes.

First time here and was delighted! Ordered the breakfast sandwich with the most fabulous biscuit, perfectly poached egg, and generous portion of excellent bacon. Our son loved his biscuits and sausage gravy. Finished off our meal with delicious cookies and coffee. Will definitely go back!

Fantastic place to have lunch! Biscuits here are the cathead type, because they're literally as big as a cat's head. Despite being called a sandwich, they are best enjoyed with a little fork and knife action. We had the Cure and Buford's Biscuits, and they're just as delicious as they look, if not better. Big enough to satisfy our appetites, almost had enough for leftovers! We'll definitely be back to try the other offerings.

The biscuits here are absolutely delicious! When placing our order, we were told we may have to wait up to 45 minutes due to the busy brunch rush. However, we only had to wait about 20 minutes in the end! The biscuits were absolutely delicious and so filling; if it weren't so delicious, I probably would have eaten half and saved the other half for later! I ordered the Buford and also tried the Nashville. The service was very friendly and the restaurant has a nice vibe.

Yelp
What a cute and charming place in the heart of Leesburg! Large space with plenty of room and tables. We got there at 9am on Sunday and there was a line to get in. We were second in line and seated immediately. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. We had 2 breakfast biscuits, 1 whistle stop and one Nashville. Everyone enjoyed them thoroughly! The biscuits were fresh and delicious and the portions were quite big. We weren't sure how to eat them...knife and fork? Big bite? Cut in half? No matter how you choose to eat your biscuit sandwich. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Tried Buford's based on the great reviews. Upon entering we added our name to the waitlist and decided to wait it out at the bookstore. After waiting 30 minutes we came back because the waitlist app indicated we were first in line. However when we got back inside we noticed other couples after us on the waitlist were being seated. I hadn't been notified that a table was ready for us. After we were seated we both ordered 'The Cure' with scrambled eggs. Our food came out hot and fast. We both were blown away, all components tasted freshly made and tasted amazing. If not for the waitlist mishap I would rate Buford's Biscuits Five stars.

Tony I.

Yelp
Simply outstanding. We stumbled on this gem after parking in the public lot. We are so glad we did! The food was incredible--huge flaky delicious biscuits with cooked-to-perfection additions. Coffee, self-serve in the ceramic mug of your choice, was hot and spot-on. Great ambiance, great service. We got to chat with one of the owners, an engaging young man happy to share the restaurant's story, with well-deserved pride. Big plus that he laughed at my jokes. All in all a home run. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I've been eyeballing a visit to Buford's Biscuits for some time now. I finally managed to find a time for a breakfast visit. There is not much street parking available, so I parked in the Town of Leesburg parking garage just around the corner. I sat at the bar and was promptly approached by the young lady working the joint. I ended up ordering two breakfast items - because they sounded so good! I ordered the Gravy Flight and a Bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast biscuit. Buford's makes these huge biscuits called "Cathead" biscuits. The Gravy Flight includes one of these massive biscuits, with 3 gravies: Sausage gravy, mushroom gravy, and chipped beef gravy. All three gravies were savory and delicious! One breaks off bits of biscuit and dips them in the gravies. That mushroom gravy was amazing! I'd like a 5 gallon bucket of that gravy to go! The breakfast biscuit was huge! I ordered it with a poached egg. You have to eat it with a fork and knife - it's so big! I could not eat the whole thing and ended up taking about half of the sammich to go! Everything was delicious! Service was good! Paid with Apple Pay. Can't wait to come back here again! #BufordsBiscuits

Yelp
We came here on a whim during the garden festival. The whole team was so friendly, this seems to be a family owned business. I loved the family pictures and family tree spread throughout the restaurant. The vibe of the entire restaurant was fantastic, with mismatched chairs, books given for the check, and cast iron skillets placed throughout for decoration. The biscuits were fantastic. We ordered the biscuit with friend green tomato, pimento cheese and fig spread. You could tell everything was homemade and delicious. We got to try the homemade apple butter (highly suggest). I would pass on the gravy flight next time. The mushroom gravy was just okay but the sausage and chopped beef were pretty good. Overall, great experience, great prices; and great biscuits. Try this place out!

Jesse P.

Yelp
Fairly large seating area with decent ambiance. Service was average but friendly. Food was pretty darn good. One of the best biscuits I've eaten. Airy with nice crunch on the outside made it pretty outstanding. Gravy was slightly over salty for my palate with a bit of spice which I loved. I'd recommend this place to anyone for a unique dining experience. Cheers!

Lina N.

Yelp
Didn't even realize this place existed, would definitely recommend as it did not disappoint. Stopped by during the flower festival and it was busy. The place was bigger than expected and has plenty of seats, including the rooftop. Luckily it was a nice day to sit up there. The food was amazing, huge portion, and the biscuits were warm: 5/5. Water and coffee were self serve and the service was good.

Shelbie C.

Yelp
Cute atmosphere. Limited menu so really you must like biscuits but they are glorious and enormous. The deviled eggs are delicious. Collards not as much. Very oily and oddly sweet. Too bad bc I love collards. I had the biscuit with pimiento cheese and fig jam. I liked mine. I didn't like my husbands sandwich bc it got all goopy and was a hot mess that if you don't finish it you can take it home unless you like soggy biscuit. Anyway... it was a nice outing.

Yelp
First time here. Read the reviews and the menu and had to try - especially with a hot Nashville chicken biscuit. We were seated immediately and our order came out quickly. Started with the three onion rings with spicy BBQ sauce. It was delicious. Onion rings fried almost to perfection and the BBQ sauce was awesome. We had the Cure and the Nashville Chicken biscuits. We were not disappointed. Their biscuits are big, light and tasty. The Cure had a tasty sausage gravy and pouched egg. The Nashville Chicken was delicious - the chicken was great, great slaw and pickle. I will come back to try other menu choices but will also come back for the Nashville - it was delicious.

Luis S.

Yelp
I've been to this spot for breakfast a few times already. The biscuits are amazing ! They are huge, buttery, flaky, and tasty. I really like the Nashville Hot chicken biscuit! We also tried the Fried Green tomato appetizer. Everything is very tasty. The service has always been stellar. The restaurant feels like you're eating at grandma's house--it's a good thing, at least for me it was.

James P.

Yelp
Just couldn't recommend this place. Not what we were hoping for at all. Very small menu, and we were sat down at 10:30am and they were out of bacon and fried green tomatoes. Coffee you have to get up and walk into the hallway and make it yourself. Very strange concept but extra star because it's a cool building.

Tim H.

Yelp
Delicious! Highly recommend. Friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, and great food! I got the country fried steak.

Alexis G.

Yelp
Damn, I'm trying to figure out when I'll be back y'all lol. I was feigning for a biscuit and I just couldn't find a spot in DC so I asked some friends out in Manasas if they'd like to meet up here for brunch. I'm so thankful they did! I don't think they take reservations. I just walked in and asked for a table. Thankful they had something inside but they do have a rooftop and outside seating. Our server was awesome and very attentive. I do have to even say, I saw a group of ladies doing their bible study lol.

Alex Y.

Yelp
Charles was fantastic with his customer service and dealing with our issue. Appreciate his prompt response

Kate P.

Yelp
We ordered two biscuits by phone (easier than ordering online at this restaurant) for takeout to eat at home and they survived transportation impressively. Our order was ready a few minutes early (yay!) and was prepared accurately. I got a Cure biscuit and they kindly separated the egg and gravy into their own little containers so I could make my own mess at home instead of receiving a sad, soggy biscuit. I would have liked a bit more cheese on this, but otherwise it was perfect--and definitely made for more than one meal. Can't wait to return to try the Virginian next.

John J.

Yelp
Cute farmhouse style restaurant. They stylized in some really home style biscuits ... and they were actually pretty darn tasty. Had the Nashville and the Cure. The Nashville Chicken was tender and had the right amount of spice (it would be spicy for some folks). The cure also was good ... the sausage gravy good spice, it had more of a peppery taste. There is a self service coffee station ... which we was interesting... coffee was decent. The service was good. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed the visit.

Amy S.

Yelp
Amazing biscuits better than Grandma's! This is a MUST stop if you're in Leesburg or anywhere close for that matter! Check the hours before you go, they are closed some weekdays.

Jillian M.

Yelp
First time in Leesburg and we stumbled upon the cutest brunch spot ! You pick out which coffee mug you would like to use which I think is the most adorable touch. The freshly made biscuits were very fluffy and filling. Our waitress was very sweet and service was fast. If you're in the area I would definitely Try this place out !

Adam L.

Yelp
I ordered delivery through door dash. I am a finicky about biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were a home run. Not too dense and not too soft, the biscuits stood up to the gravy. Unfortunately, like many other restaurants with biscuits and gravy, they over did it with the herbs and spices. In my personal opinion, sausage gravy should let the sausage flavor rein supreme. The biscuits definitely raised the stars on this for me, 3 stars for the gravy & 5 stars on the biscuit! As always, this is my personal opinion on taste, and is my only time ordering. Maybe an off day, I will try them again sometime.

Barb C.

Yelp
Good size biscuit. Excellent flavor. Love the self serve coffee friendly service. Great location

Dawn A.

Yelp
This place was recommended to me and I'm glad it was! I was in Leesburg for work and went here for breakfast. I couldn't finish the biscuit for breakfast, so I had leftovers later. I got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and it was SO good! I'd like to go back and try other options too.

Jason J.

Yelp
Easily five stars. Buford's is in a beautiful old row house with great charm and high ceilings. The biscuits are the star of the show but the sausage gravy, fried chicken and all the other tasty additions can't be beat! My wife got the "Bless your Heart" which was a fried chicken biscuit with mac & cheese and I chose "The Cure" which was a fried chicken biscuit with sausage gravy, cheddar cheese and a poached egg. Both were the best I have had north of Nashville. I do wish they had better than the just ok self-serve coffee (seriously, I'd drop $9 for a churro latte - you're missing an opportunity!) and the parking in Leesburg is an embarrassment to the city, but the food is SO GOOD, I'll definitely be back to Buford's Biscuits!

Tony M.

Yelp
Disappointing. I think this place is new. On the positive side the service is very friendly. However, I ordered the breakfast biscuit with sausage, which I thought they would knock out of the park. Unfortunately what arrived was a mess (see picture). The poached egg was broken and difficult to see what was egg and what was cheese. The egg white was transparent in places (under cooked). Biscuit was stodgy on the bottom. On request they did provide some sausage gravy which offset the stodginess slightly. I suggest serving open faced, cooking the perfect poached, and let the customer break the egg.

Patricia M.

Yelp
Visiting Leesburg for a wedding. Stopped in for breakfast. Everything about this place is awesome!!

Conner Q.

Yelp
Delicious! Very cool spot inside and all of the staff were great! Started planning our trip back while we were still eating.

Rebecca L.

Yelp
Love Buford's Biscuits so much! I come here at least once a month to get my biscuit craving in check. Their cat head biscuits on their own and the perfect amount of crunchy exterior and soft, buttery interior. That coupled with their gravy is just to die for. Honestly, I could eat just their biscuits and gravy on their own and be satisfied, but if you want to be fancy check out their sandwiches! My go to is The Cure, and the fried chicken that goes in is cooked to excellence! I could go on and on about how good their biscuits are, but you'll just have to see for yourself. I'm so happy that I can live as close as I do to this restaurant.

Shawn M.

Yelp
First time here and my server a chicken biscuit called the cure. It was the best thing of it kind I have ever had with delicious fried chicken sausage gravy wow!

Christine H.

Yelp
The biscuits here are so worth the wait! We tried the Nashville as well as the ordinary biscuit and I thought it was such a well balanced biscuit. Trying the different types of gravy will give you an idea of the different flavor profiles that they feature here. And whether it be the sandwich (perfectly spiced Nashville) or the stand alone biscuit dish, the hero is the biscuit. It's freshly baked and perfectly seasoned, and even a single biscuit will leave you pretty full. I'd definitely be back when I'm in town or passing by.

Daniel J.

Yelp
Buford's Biscuits has recently opened in their new location that has more space. This place is phenomenal. My wife ordered "The Cure" which has fried chicken, sausage gravy, cheese and egg. I had "Bless Your Heart" which had fried chicken, Mac and Cheese, homemade pickles and cheddar cheese. The biscuits have a delicious crust and soft interior. Great flavors. The service was excellent. The owner/chef who makes the biscuits even came out and talked to us. They are expanding their menu and will have a rooftop patio coming soon. This is one of the best local restaurants in Leesburg!

Lyn L.

Yelp
Delicious! The Yelpers came through again! We took your advice and preordered. There's free parking on weekends across the street. Also there are some parking spots behind the shop. There's 2 areas to eat outdoors. Inside there are comfy tables. Ordering is easy. Walk up place your order and someone brings you your hot food. Online ordering worked similar. There's a pickup table and someone packs it up right there. We got the famous Nashville Chicken on Biscuit. For $14, hubby got a humongous chicken patty on a giant biscuit topped with a purple slaw and pickles. I got the cat head biscuit with a side of gravy. Those biscuits are super fluffy and ironically very dense, sorta conflicting description but you'll get it. Butter on the biscuit is amazing. Check it out, it's fun food.

Chathu K.

Yelp
Cozy joint with good coffee and damn good biscuits and fried chicken! Highly recommend this place for a weekend brunch/lunch!

Kevin C.

Yelp
The first thing that struck me about Buford's was its warm and inviting atmosphere. Situated in a historic building in downtown Leesburg, the restaurant screams both Parisian coffee shop and southern hole in the wall. The second thing that struck me - hard - was the quality of the food. I just wasn't prepared for the freshness, innovativeness, and flavors that awaited my palate. The deviled eggs with bacon jam covered so many bases - rich, salty, spicy, and sweet - all in perfect balance. The two different brunch dishes we'd ordered were equally jaw dropping. The biscuits, the gravy.....ridiculous. Highly recommended!

Samantha H.

Yelp
I can't believe how many times I keep coming back because every time I mention "the biscuit place" to friends, they don't want to go anywhere else, and who am I to stop them? The jam flight is an unparalleled concept. I am here now because I've tried enough other menu items to say new stuff. The limited time Krabby Patty is GOOD! The use of lion's mane mushrooms,.. wonderful. I don't love the namesake Buford's Biscuit but that's just me; the whole grain mustard veloute is not to my taste and with the collards it is too wet of a sandwich for me. The Nashville continues to impress me. I had the breakfast sandwich AND The Cure, and I do like The Cure better since the chicken is so good. The cheese and ham for the breakfast sandwich was a little too salty for me. My savory top three ranking is basically Nashville, Krabby Patty, and The Cure.

Kevin S.

Yelp
Another amazing place to grab breakfast in downtown Leesburg. Absolutely worth the drive if you are within 30 miles. Fresh made, airy biscuits which are delicious. I loved the Virginian with it perfectly salty country ham. This restaurant is is in a renovated old building to give it just ideal smalltown charm. An absolute must to check out.

Sarah B.

Yelp
You must come and get The Nashville. Such a delicious and hearty biscuit with so much flavor. And the mimosa is only $5! Easy.

Alexis V.

Yelp
If you are looking for a delicious homemade biscuit, this is the place to go. The sausage patty is from a local farm and the biscuits are made fresh every day. Perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Giving it only four stars because I wish there were more options for toppinf Tip: get there early. After 11:30, the wait tends to be closer to 30 minutes.

John P.

Yelp
Amazing biscuits and the chick fried steak was delicious and the dessert - yum. Great ambiance with a farmhouse vibe.

Fred R.

Yelp
- visited the new location on the way to Loudoun wineries and it's just as good as the original location. Good service, a much larger interior, and awesome food. Conveniently located near the downtown parking garage.

Sara P.

Yelp
This is definitely the place to go for biscuits in the area. Despite being a little difficult to eat, the Nashville hot chicken biscuit was very good with the pickles and the slaw. I do wish they had a slightly more expansive menu, like a honey chicken biscuit or a regular (not hot) chicken biscuit with pickles and some type of mustard. All in all if you're a biscuit person then I think this place will definitely scratch the itch.

Brandon M.

Yelp
Man, all these negative reviews are wildly nitpicky. Maybe I should go around to every cheesesteak joint and post "IT'S NOT HOW THEY DO IT IN SOUTH PHILLY". It's been a while since Buford's took over the old Senor Ramon's place (and Puccios before that...) but it's one of the only nods to "the South" we have in downtown Leesburg. I've had the biscuit + gravy and the Charleston, both extremely solid options. I've never had an issue with the service, but that probably brings me to the 4 instead of 5 stars. It's a weirdly laid out building. I would imagine that service to the outside/back and even inside is tough to do. It's always been a weirdly laid out building, so I don't really know what can be done there. And also, plan on leftovers. The biscuits are the size of a small baby's head.

Trendy D.

Yelp
This place taste really good! I see what the hype is all about. It might be my new favorite spot the biscuit is baked perfectly and you can tell they fresh. The red cabbage slaw *chef kiss* I think the slaw combination really takes this biscuit to the next level. The chicken is perfectly spicy, crispy, and most importantly JUICYY! The service was good, the pricing is average I spent about $20. There's minimal outdoor and indoor seating. There's seats in the back with umbrellas. It's first come first serve. My only recommendation to the restaurant is find something non-plastic to put the gravy in. The plastic felt cheap and like it was melting a little with the hot gravy in it. Overall, I'll be back it's a MUST try in leesburg

Hannah H.

Yelp
About a 1-1.5: Man, I really wanted to like Buford's Biscuits, because the pictures of their creations looked delicious! Being in the area, the hubs and I stopped by for breakfast, and we ordered: +the Buford's Biscuit - with sweet tea-brined chicken thigh, collards, and smothered in a whole grain mustard veloute - this didn't look anything like the photos on the website, as the sauce that was on ours was a darker red color; not sure if the wrong sauce was used or they switched up the recipe, but it was super sour; the chicken could have been more crispier, and the biscuit was super dry, even with all that sauce +the Memphis Mushroom - with grilled Misty Meadows lion's mane mushroom, sliced Beechwood apples, housemade BBQ sauce, and onion rings; both the onion rings and the mushrooms were soggy, as if maybe they weren't freshly dropped in the fryer? I wasn't a fan of the BBQ sauce, either, and the biscuit was also super dry +Missy's potato salad - not sure if this salad was turned, or we just weren't a fan of the combination of the ingredients? It had an off-putting odor and flavor to it, and it was inedible +hush puppies - served with molasses butter; the hubs enjoyed these, as they were piping hot and had a little kick to them; kind of reminded of a jalapeno cheese cornbread +mac & cheese - the hubs thought this was okay, but I thought it was just way too grainy +apple hand pie - served with chantilly cream; these looked tasty, but there was so much dough a not much of the apple pie filling Honestly, we just couldn't finish the meal and left most of it on the table... This place as definitely packed, with both the indoor and the outdoor seating. Staff were super friendly! I wished we had the same yummy experiences that others have had, but, unfortunately, no dice. I'm still glad I was able to check this place out, but most likely wouldn't return. Metered street parking around the area. +dry biscuits T___T +wrong sauce used? T___T +turned potato salad? T___T +soggy ingredients T___T +friendly staff +indoor and outdoor seating +metered street parking available

Yelp
We had a great breakfast here. The coffee is "serve yourself" and you get to pick out whatever mug you like from some fun options. The biscuit sandwiches are bigger than they look in all the Yelp pictures (i added my hand to my picture for scale). Very yummy and filling!

Brandon B.

Yelp
My wife and I drove up from DC to check Buford's out because I love fried chicken biscuits. We ordered the Classic Chicken Biscuit, the Nashville Hot Chicken, and the Virginian (country ham). Being from Nashville, I had high expectations going in for the crispy friedness of the chicken and to discover their take on "Nashville" hot. Unfortunately, although the biscuits were very good, neither sandwich hit the mark. The outside of the fried chicken wasn't crispy. The hot heat you'd expect from a hot chicken sandwich wasn't present. Neither had much taste, except for a pickle on the Nashville Hot. The biscuit is large, so most of what you get flavor-wise is that. Was pretty disappointed. However, the Virginian was great. Salty country ham, cheddar, and honey butter. We savored this one for sure. Knowing one out of three sandwiches was good, and that the rest of their menu could be amazing, I would still recommend giving Buford's a shot. We might have had a one-off bad experience, based on other reviews.

Nalini P.

Yelp
An A+ start to a day of winery visits! Vegetarian variety: 7/10. Simple biscuit dishes as well as this delicious mushroom and squash-topped biscuit were vegetarian - so not a ton in quantity, but this option absolutely didn't feel like an afterthought and was a perfect first stop of the morning! Taste: 9/10. I have never tasted a mushroom this meaty, period, full stop. The fried onions on top and squash at the bottom rounded it out nicely, and all of it was brought together with a spicy and flavorful sauce that I wished there was more of. The biscuit itself was filling without being dense, and all components held up great as leftovers the next morning. Ambiance: 8/10. This place is adorable! Artfully mismatched chairs at each table, with cutting boards displayed along one wall and flowers throughout. It felt light and bright on a sunny weekend morning, and while there was a steady stream of customers, we had no issue finding a table. Price: 7/10. $14 for this biscuit sandwich and $4 for two hand pies we enjoyed for dessert.

Diane G.

Yelp
This place is amazing! We came for dinner and everything was so good, the chicken was super juicy and flavorful and the biscuits are the BEST biscuits I've ever had! Especially with some of the maple butter, YUM! My boyfriend had the sausage gravy and he said it was as good as, if not better than, what he had growing up in the south! The mac and cheese and the baked cinnamon apples were delicious, as well as the blueberry pie! The cocktails were new and tasty and refreshing! Super cute and charming interior, love the location and the decor. Everyone was so nice and friendly! Can't wait to come back for breakfast to try more of the menu, and to check out their rooftop! Highly recommend!

Julianna M.

Yelp
I love this place and the atmosphere! The biscuits are so good. The service was excellent!

Arianna P.

Yelp
Drive up from Woodbridge based off the high remarks & there's one thing to say, over rated. The biscuits weren't fluffy, lacked butter & salt. Not southern by any means. Nashville hot chicken was okay. The regular fried chicken on the bufords biscuit tasted like straight oil. The mustard sauce on bufords biscuit lacked seasoning and was just a simple note of sweet. The worst thing was The Holler. Short rib was COLD. Cold even when the server brought it out. The short rib was dry and lacked any seasoning. Having it depending on gravy for any flavor made it no better. The gravy was bitter, bland, tasted old and congealed. We arrived at 1230 and so maybe an off day? Or off afternoon since they close at 1400? We ordered immediately cause we looked at the menu on the drive up and got our food around 1320. The mimosa was good lol even being lit off the mimosa with the vodka in it, the food was really disappointing. But hey, the food looks good in pictures :\

Brian P.

Yelp
Visited for breakfast and enjoyed the biscuits. The coffee was alright however I liked their coffee station setup being able to select which mug you want to use. They entire place is relatively small and people struggled to find seating on a Saturday morning. The kitchen is also small and since they were busy, it took a while to get our food. However, I don't mind waiting for food that is both fresh and delicious. Will return again soon.

Came to Buford's for brunch with my best friend. Before we got here I did peruse the online menu just to make sure she would have a vegetarian option since it would be less enjoyable if she had to just choose a side or just a plain biscuit but Buford offered the Memphis mushroom which if I hadn't seen they had a special for the day I would've ordered this biscuit. But alas I spotted a sign in front with a thanksgiving biscuit. I love thanksgiving and all it's flavor profiles. So no brainer. I then spotted lemonade and ice tea so naturally I asked if they offered an Arnold Palmer which the cashier was nice enough to accommodate for. The vibe of the place is down home just good old southern comfort. A nice place for brunch or breakfast and I think I read they are doing dinner service now. Food:the biscuits are a good palm size maybe a tiny bit bigger. Nice crisp exterior with a still fluffy bouncy back texture. The gravy is awesome really flavorful and savory. I love that they are able to top the biscuit with gravy but still have the structural integrity to keep it in sandwich form. Turkey was nice and moist a bit salty for me. The potato croquette was a nice contrast in textures fluff and soft center with a crispy exterior. The cranberry sauce had a good tangy and complemented my gravy. I ate the whole biscuit so quick I realize darn I still have left over gravy. If I missed anything from this thanksgiving sandwich it was green beans or some sort of greens to round it out just something fresh. The best friend had the Memphis mushroom and was really impressed that the lions mane mushroom was very meaty in texture and that the mushroom was very well sauces and that it wasn't fried. She appreciate that since she originally thought it would be heavier. She said the onion rings were really crunchy and light. Overall she hopes they keep it on the menu or keep offering vegetarian options since it's hard to find people who know how to treat vegetables well. Overall the service was good it is a very small local place so they social distance as much as they can there is indoor and outdoor seating. Love the overall Down home country style vibe. It reminded me of another biscuit restaurant that is closer to home for me that I would frequent often, but never got the chance to take my best friend to. But now Buford has helped me bring a similar experience to my best friend In her home town. I hope to frequent Buford again to try a chicken biscuit or some side dishes soon.
