I write this review with great hope that the management will read it. This used to be my "go to" restaurant as I lived in West Linn as I went since it opened. It's beautiful with a lovely patio and a very well decorated interior now, don't get me wrong. However, at the end of the day, I go to eat GOOD ITALIAN FOOD.
I loved the menu from years past that had so many so many wonderful pasta dishes like Penne Prosciutto, Carbonara (the best I ever had and no peas were in it rather just egg, pancetta, noodle of choice as they were always flexible about that, and tons of cheese yum), Gamborelli (I think it's called, real true Spaghetti and not the dry tasteless bolognese like they served us yesterday. They would always allow us to come in and, if you had a regular entrée that you loved, would still have the ingredients to make it for you. Anyone who used to go must know. The list went on. They played to their unique strengths. Who got this bright idea to be more "phoo phoo?!" Must be new ownership. Go back to your roots. My 89-year-old mother was raised by an Italian father and knows good "spaghetti". She said this was a horrible dinner and please don't let take it home. I had to do it as I wanted to be nice to our really good server. Otherwise, to the trash the "Eye talian" (that's how I describe imitation italian food) would have gone. Oh I almost forgot, the bread is the best part. Still as good, crisp and warm as ever. Don't take that away.
Management, wake up. You can still turn it around!
