Cozy Indian restaurant. Service and atmosphere were great. I recommend you reserve a table in advance if you are going on a holiday. The food was good, but I think that some of the dishes are a bit overprice for the amount of food you get. The mango Lassi was good. The manager and owner were extremely friendly.

I gave this place 3 stars. 2 stars were lost bc of service and cleanliness. There was a fly on our papad and we asked them for a new one. Additionally, we had to ask 3 times to order before someone came back to order. The place was not full so there was no excuse for having to wait almost 25 minutes to order. Food was good overall. Some dishes were better than others.

A beautiful mazedaar indian spot with cute setting. The food was delicious and everyone in our party enjoyed. Staff and owner made the evening memorable. What an outstanding service. We had the lamb chops, malai chicken, chicken garlic for the starters. The lamb chops reminded us of the Bukhara NYC, taste hasn't changed. For the mains, we had Pandara Road wala butter chicken, lamb rogan josh, dal makhani completesmd with butter naan, garlic kulcha and laccha parathas. For the desserts, we had the malai ice cream and rasmalai. This place is really an authentic gem!!

I can't believe it took us this long to try this place. The food here is absolutely delicious. While their menu may not be as voluminous as other Indian restaurants in the area every single thing we had was fantastic. Two things that were absolutely outstanding... The first was a mushroom appetizer in a truffle sauce. Yes it sounds something more akin to a French restaurant but trust me this has nothing but Indian flavors, and I probably would have ordered three more orders of it and just had that for dinner if that's all I tried. It was on the specials menu but the owner said that it's almost always on the specials menu. The second item was an entree and was a tandoori grilled bronzino, covered with Indian spices over a bed of lemon rice. I'm usually a little nervous or hesitant about ordering grilled fish out as the tendency is for it to get dried out. This dish was fantastic It was moist flavorful and completely unexpected. But we will definitely be ordering this every time we go back. All the normal standards are also on the menu but try some of their specials. We went about 6:30 on a Friday night and when we first got there it wasn't too crowded at all by the time we left the place was packed... So especially for busy times reservations are probably required or at the very least suggested.

Why is this place have 4+ Rating?? Or did I just order on an off day?? Samosas were decent. Butter Garlic Crab tasted good but where is the Crab? It was minced Crab meat, instead of Crab with shell, and I felt it tasted more like imitation crab than Blue Crab. I would still give them the benefit of doubt for that. But the Dum Pukht Lamb Biryani was such a huge disappointment. Rice barely had any flavor and was too dry. As to Lamb, I couldn't even cut it with a knife (see video). It was literally like chewing a cardboard. Do people really like Biryani from here??

It was the first time at Dehli Accent restaurant and they did not disappoint. Although we didn't have a reservation on Valentines Day they accommodated us and actually gave us wonderful seats by the window. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious. The Manger made sure that we were happy throughout the meal and the whole staff were on point. Will definitely be returning with family and friends.

Google
Saturday night dinner. Food was delicious. Best Indian in a bit. Started off with veggie samosa, crab meat, chaak with pomegranate and crispy spinach. The truffle goat cheese naan was to die for. Never go wrong with tiki mansala. Service was slow. Waiter only came over once all food was served and then at the end for check. Food brought out as ready. Would have liked the naan with the apps. $7 for still water, had to ask the food runners for more. Overall very happy with the food and would come back. Attire - nice, casual. Elegant inside. Dim lighting. Small lobby.

Amazing food. Friendly staff and great location. Loved everything :) if you didn’t try food here yet, please go head an try it. You don’t want to miss it. They have parent restaurant call Tashan in Parsippany. You should try their food too. It’s not like a Domino’s and Domino’s. Both restaurants has different options and taste. You should try it. Can’t wait explore their other two restaurants. Such an friendly and family environment. Enjoyed the food at both place.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining at Delhi Accent with my family last night and it was truly a remarkable experience. While we've ordered takeout from here many times and knew it was one of the best Indian options in the area, we were blown away by the restaurant's roots and background. We learned that the founder, Akshay Jhanjee, is the son of Raja Jhanjee, one of the owners of Bukhara Grill in NYC, which has been a personal favorite of mine for years. Ridgewood is privileged to have this restaurant in town. We started with the Dilli Ki Papri Chaat, a fresh and high-quality dish that combined wheat crisps and chickpeas with mint and other flavors, making it a spectacular appetizer. Next, we moved on to our family favorites, which included Dal Bukhara (Dal Makhani), a popular dish from the Punjab region, Lamb Saag, Chicken Tikka, and some Naan. It's worth mentioning that the fresh bread was outstanding. The service was exceptional, akin to what you would expect in a Michelin-starred restaurant. With so many options for Indian cuisine in the area, I can confidently say that Delhi Accent is the best. Overall, my family and I had an unforgettable experience, and we highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for high-quality Indian cuisine.

Yelp
OMG, I am still thinking about the size of that naan! My friend and I stopped at Delhi Accent for lunch. We ordered vegetable samosas, chicken tikka masala, and butter naan. The chicken tikka masala had a kick and had more tomato sauce that I'm used to, but was tasted flavorful, and very good overall! But the real star was the naan. When our server brought it out, my friend and I both did a double take- it was HUGE! And it paired perfectly with the tikka masala sauce. While we only ordered one entree, we were both full from the meal.

Yelp
Dinner experience, dine-in. Nice, semi-upscale cozy spot. Service is impeccable, friendly servers and given lot of attention. Even the owner stopped by to check on us. Reason for 3-stars is mainly food. Went with high expectations but was regular Indian food. Paneer tikka was big pieces of paneer, not enough flavor penetrated to each bit, leaves you with chewy panner. Same with big pieces of chicken and lamb in the tandoori platter. Malai Kofta also didn't tasted anything special. Naan was great, big fresh from the over, I would say one of the best tasted in NJ!

Yelp
Enjoyed this experience quite a bit! We came just after Christmas when it seemed like all restaurants around were closed? But we were glad to find it Inside is stellar, sadly I didn't take a picture. I loved the seat I had, and I felt like I was in someone's living room. Also major kudos to our waiters and hosts, they were so friendly and they genuinely seemed like they wanted to know people who lives in the area & cared about their community. Ok now the food. That mixed grill is not for the mild/faint of heart. We took it home and it lasted us several days haha, it is overwhelming but really good. Same with the vegetable biryani. Get ready for some spice in your dinner! I recommend a mango lassi or daal as pictured. My go to is daal when I go to Indian restaurants because I love the simplicity and it helps me fight off the spiciness of the other dishes. The daal and garlic naan, while simple, tasted really good (sadly so good that I gobbled on premises and couldn't bring home any) Solid experience, thanks to the staff of Delhi Accents!

Yelp
Excellent service and delicious food. Great atmosphere. I wish I remembered my servers name as he offered us perfect suggestions throughout the entire meal. Could not have asked for a better evening. Thanks to staff and ownership on such a great experience.

Yelp
Used to love this place. Our go to for the best indian food in the area. Don't know what changed but the last couple of times it didn't live up to the standards. The food did not taste like before and the service wasn't good either. We used to love the kebabs and tandoori stuff here but now it is not good at all.You can see and taste the raw marinade on the chicken and didn't taste or feel like before. The pandora road wala butter chicken used to be the very best but now it is like any other orange gravy. The masala chai was the worst. Very watery and no flavor at all.Just felt like drinking warm water. I feel bad to write a review like this for delhi accent but don't waste your time or money on this.

Yelp
My husband and I used to frequent this place once it opened pre-pandemic. Once the pandemic hit, we were with them through the creation of their online order menu and even the promotions they were running to keep the roof over their heads. Boy am I glad this place survived! We've been getting takeout for the last few years and decided to go for a date-night last weekend. It was lovely to be back in their ambiance and sit with their amazing servers. I'm not sure we could ever go back to take-out after the incredible dine-in experience. But who am I kidding?! With a toddler at home we can't always go out for date nights, and when the Indian food craving hits, this is still my go-to even for pickup! Food: I have to admit, this is my favorite Indian restaurant overall and a large part of it is simply because they have the best food. Their apps are incredible and the dishes from the clay oven cannot compete with any single other spot in the county (at least that I've been too). Admittedly, we've gotten take out more than dine-in lately and dinning in elevates these dishes even more! I loved experiencing the food fresh out the kitchen; removing the commute of the food sitting in containers in your car for 10 mins and then being re-plated. Although even for pickup it's still outrageously delicious, it's just not quite the same. Also, reality is that it is a bit pricey for takeout. If I'm going to spend $100ish on a couple of apps and two entrees, it's always nice to be doing that out in their environment and to be waited on and not have to clean up. Fellow parents of toddlers, am I right!? Atmosphere: The restaurant is as classy as it is beautiful. Oddly enough, its great for both date night and for big groups. It's really the best of both worlds. There is a front house manager or owner that's always suited up and checking on tables. It certainly elevates the experience. The service is always quick and attentive. They even pour your wine should you want to BYOB (CHYESSS, I love me a good BYOB spot!) We dropped in at 10:30pm on Friday and they were still bustling and seating tables! I'm glad we decided to do date night at our old Tried and True favorite food spot and were pleasantly surprised that post pandemic (or wherever we are with this Covid19 mayhem) the restaurant overall just may be even better than it was pre-pandemic. How is that possible!?

Yelp
What a wonderfully delicious meal we had tonight, but the ambiance and incredible staff really made it a perfect evening. 100% coming back again. Thanks again to our waiters and compliments to the chef!

Yelp
We went to Delhi Accent today and it was excellent, as always! Our server, Edward, was the perfect combination of friendliness and professionalism. The food and ambiance were outstanding, too. We tried Bhindi Bukhara for the first time, and definitely will order it again. Many restaurants say "innovative," but this one truly is.

Yelp
This was a good add to ridgewood and deliver on its promise of being fancy and bougie! Food is relatively good and standard for a fancy Indian restaurant, it's expensive. Service is ok, we had to ask for chai to be reheated and they did it for us. Asked for extra onions on the side etc, they don't provide with food.

Yelp
We went to Delhi Accent on Sunday evening (free parking in Ridgewood on Sunday), got seated right away. They Restaurent has beautiful interior, but found the lighting little too dark. We were welcomed with complementary Papadum and sauces (tamarind and mint). They have a decent menu, alongside a Chef's special menu. We ordered several appetizers and entree items. Appetizers items came out pretty fast but the main course took almost 40 minutes to come out. Was surprised that it took so long. The items we tried are: Veg Samosa - 3/5 Delhi Chaat - 4/5 Chicken Tikka Masala - 3/5 (full of bell peppers and spicy :O) Goan Shrimp Curry - 2/5 Dum Phukt Chicken Biryani - 5/5 (the best dish of the night, and the saving grace of the dinner). It had sweet aroma, chicken was tender and tasty. The naan on top was puffy and soft. We had a good experience in terms of service. The owner/manager checked with us couple of times and others were also helpful throughout the dinner. TL;DR Overall our experience: Food taste - 4/5 Food prep time - 2/5 Service - 4/5 Price - $$$ Restroom - 5/5

Yelp
Great decor. Very friendly staff. Indoor dining with social distance available. Hand sanitizer available. Bathroom is clean. chicken tikka masala for some reason is spicy to me, usually this dish is not spicy. Goan shrimp is ok, a little blend. Special chicken biryani, very cool w the bread on the top, remind me the style of French onion soup. Food waiting time is a little bit long. It's good for people who can hang out and take their time. But it wasn't for us.

Yelp
We selected Delhi accent to celebrate a special occasion, made reservations ahead of time. We were charged $100 deposit which was deducted from our total bill. I would definitely recommend making a reservation if you plan to visit over the weekend as the place was busy with folks waiting in line. We were immediately seated per our reservation in a nice quiet corner table as requested. The place was dimly lit, and had a great ambience. The staff was professional and friendly, and shared great recommendations. I've broken down ratings by the dishes we ordered: Appetizers: Palak Chaat - 4/5 (little greasy for my liking but delicious!) Pickled mushrooms - 5/5 Pudina Paneer Tikka - 5/5 (the portion size was generous) Entreé: Kurkuri Bhindi - 6/5 - was absolutely delicious! Methi Paneer Toast - 6/6 - again absolutely delicious Dal Bukhara - 5/5 - delicious and hearty Breads: Garlic naan - 5/5 - was an amazing size! Truffle cheese naan - 4/5 - tiny bit dry Drinks: Mango lassi - 3/5 - could be better! Overall we really enjoyed the experience, food and the service. Definitely highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an Indian restaurant in the area.

Yelp
Service and food were excellent! All our dishes were so tasty and flavorful. Mixed grill starters so moist and meaty.

Yelp
Great indian food in a very formal dining vibe. Have consistently ordered from here, and it is our go to indian place to visit in northern NJ! Would definitely recommend the biriyani and the tandoori chicken! Spice level is on point too!

Yelp
Brought the kids. We all loved it! Great service, very good with the kids. kids loved the mixed kabobs.

Yelp
Catering review - The person who takes the order, provides info and actually manages it are totally different which results in lot of confusion and last min stress. We were promised delivery which last min changed to pickup or paid delivery; the quantity of food provided was less than what was explained eg: lasooni gobi & samosa chaat ended up being insufficient for the guests. Finally there was a problem with one of the chicken appetizers which caused an upset stomach for the guests who ate it. Overall will not be using the catering service ever again!

Jac J.

Yelp
Lunch is great here, with big portions and generous spices, if you have been to their sister spot in Montclair you know what to expect. Finding a quality Indian spot always feels like finding a hidden treasure. The quick and attentive staff both in front and back of house have never missed when we drop in.

Yelp
Delhi Accent is such a great addition to Ridgewood. It just recently opened but is gaining traction pretty quickly, and rightfully so. I absolutely love the vibe and decor of this spot, it has a very modern and intimate feel. The food is great too, it's definitely a spin on traditional Indian food. I came here on a Saturday night with a reservation and while it was pretty empty around 7:00pm when we first arrived, it filled up pretty quickly in here. I'd saw every table was taken at one point and there was a wait. I definitely recommend making a reservation for a weekend, especially since it's super easy to do so on OpenTable. In terms of food, we started out with the Saffron Butter Garlic Crab. I was really intrigued by this as you very rarely see shellfish (aside from shrimp) on the menu of an Indian restaurant. I was definitely pleasantly surprised by this appetizer. The crab was super flavorful and fresh tasting, not fishy at all. It had a little kick of spice to it with a great balance of spices. Would definitely get it again! As my main dish I got Bhindi (Okra) Masala. Okra is one of my favorite foods. It was delicious and not super greasy as I've had in other restaurants! I also tried some of the Chicken Vindaloo and Chicken Tikka Masala, both of which were exceptional! Their naan is also a must, it's HUGE! The chili garlic one is perfect, and you really only need one for a group! The only negative is that I found the service to be a bit slow, but we were having a chill Saturday night (with BYOB) so I wasn't in any particular rush. The food took a while to come out but I'll take that as a sign to show that everything is made fresh to order. Overall, I'm very happy with my experience here. I will definitely recommend it to people and hope to be back soon.

Yelp
The experience of dining at Delhi Accent was definitely unique and would be qualified for a fine dining experience. We went on a weekend night so parking was tough to find in the nearby parking lot but we were able to find one by Ridgewood station. You have to kinda reserve your table atleast couple of hours in advance otherwise you don't get reservation here. We were seated as soon as we reached and they are limiting capacity during covid times. We ordered garlic naan, palak chaat, palak ke kofte from chefs special, baingan Mirch ka salan and Khyber naan. Ordered a lot for party of two but we thought we will get the rest to go. The palak chaat was awesome and mouth watering, garlic naan was very fresh and huggggge.. I don't think I would have ordered another naan had I known the size of their garlic naan. I would recommend looking at the pictures before ordering. Palak ke kofte were not the greatest and we're ok as to me it seemed very bland but on the other hand the baingan mirch ka salan was super spicy.. I know they marked it as spicy but usually Indian restaurants in the US don't have the same spice level as India but not here. So watch out as I couldn't eat that curry. I don't give this place a 5 star because of the service. I would have hoped the person taking our order to have warned me about the spice level or the huge naan. Everything else was awesome. Did like the place might come back if I want to splurge a little.

Yelp
Found this place walking around downtown Ridgewood. We checked out the menu on yelp and decided to give it a try. What a great find! The owner, Shay, greeted and seated us. We were served water right away and given our menus. Appetizer: Dilli ki Papri Chat Entrees: Barrah Kabab- marinated and grilled boneless lamb pieces cooked to a tender texture and flavor. It came with rice, garnished with micro greens and flower petals. If you're in the mood for kabab, this is a good option for that perfect smokey charcoal flavor. Chicken Tikka masala- yummy! Chocolate halwah - it's like a warmed up candy bar. Very tasty. Bhunawala gosht- goat meat curry with an onion based sauce. A sweet and savory experience. Very good with the naan. Garlic naan and plain naan. Extremely large! Very tasty- came out fresh and piping hot.

Ingrid G.

Yelp
I came to have my birthday dinner and by the end of the night I was not happy. The service is subpar and honestly tarnished my whole experience. The first time I came our server was very nice and I enjoyed my experience. But, after this encounter its safe to say it's my last time coming and recommending it to anyone. The whole time our server had an attitude and seemed like he did not want to be there. We had questions about the food and he looked bothered by them (which caused us not to order more). He also dropped the checkbook and laughed about it with a coworker after I picked it up from the floor. I also caught him pointing at my sister when she got up to use the bathroom. Absolutely horrible experience. Date of visit: 10/12/22 @ 5:30pm

Yelp
Love this place!! And I look forward to their new locations! Everything is phenomenal- get the goat cheese and truffle naan and you'll never look back!! This is on my list as a last meal!! I am also a Hakka noodle fan which in some places can be difficult since it's a bit of fusion but here.. the best!!! They are opening up a new restaurant in Montclair and I can't wait to try it!

Anand D.

Yelp
We've been here twice now. The ambience and service are good for a fine dining dinner. The food is the main reason for the average rating. Despite having an extensive menu, Naan was the highlight of the meal. The appetizers, curries, and grilled chicken platters are just not flavorful enough.

J T.

Yelp
Delicious naan and chicken dishes. Nice decor. Service was a little slow but really enjoyed the food. Will return.

Yelp
Delhi Accent is owned by a family who has two other "famous" Indian restaurants, Khyber Grill and Tamasha. I've heard great things about the latter, so I was hoping for the same at Delhi Accent. Sadly, it missed the mark for me. I had a chicken tandoori lunch special. My stars are for the rice, naan and dessert of the day (gulab jamun). The vegetables and dal were bland. My chicken tandoori was two generous pieces, but they were over cooked and slightly burnt. They did not have the traditional tandoori marks or color. I managed to enjoy a few bites of the rubbery chicken, and the flavors were mild but excellent. $13 is a steal for lunch, but I wouldn't recommend the tandoori chicken. For the minute I was inside, it was sumptuously decorated and clean. Parking is a little rough, so you may have to search a bit. I'd give this place another chance if a friend wanted to try it.

Yelp
Drove 45 minutes just to come for the lamb rack biryani and it was well worth it! We actually called the resturant an hour before to make sure they had the lamb rack and they said they'd save us one since they only had a couple left. To start, I highly recommend the palak chaat and chicken kebab trio. The palak chaat was different from any other palak chaat I've tasted. Instead of using papdi for the base, they fry the spinach so it's crispy, so there's no need for the papdi. It's then topped with yogurt, sev and pomegranate seeds. It's served in a really big bowl. One bowl is good to share for 3-4 people. The kebab trio is good as well. They give you decently size kebabs and they're all different. If you like spicy, I'd recommend ordering it spicy. It's a good kick and not overly spicy. For main entrees, the lamb rack biryani is a must. Its different from any biryani I've ordered. The lamb is cooked just right and the rice isn't too overwhelming. It is a special item so they don't serve it all the time. I would call ahead and check to see if they're serving it that night. I would also try the amboitk curry with fish. It's probably one of the best fish curries I've ever had. For dessert, we've ordered the paan masala ice cream and moong dal halwa. The staff was friendly and also threw in the Orange Kulfi for free. The paan masala ice cream was definitely the best dessert. It's so fresh and tasted basically like vanilla ice creamed rolled in fresh paan masalsa. The halwa was good as well but the orange kufli, in my opinion, was just okay. Overall, this was a great experience. The staff was also very friendly with us, conversing with us multiple times throughout the night. It's also BYOB so bring your bottles!

Yelp
Found out about this hidden gem through yelp north jersey's Instagram account and I am so happy with my experience here! I had to come here to try the lamb rack biriyani. The ambiance is classy and upscale, I definitely was not expecting the level of fancy in the restaurant. The decorations are trendy and authentic. I really liked the mural of the lady on the wall, it's so nice! The service was extremely welcoming, engaging, and quick as well. Our waiter recommended the best items on the menu and the owner and even the chef came to talk to us as well! For the food, we started with the Palak Chaat and it was delicious. It basically is fried spinach as the chaat base with savory, spicy and sweet chutney that compliment the taste so well. It is seasoned with pomegranate seeds too. Our waiter insisted that we try the Palak chaat and I'm so happy he told us to try it! We also got the Kabob Trio and they were chicken pieces marinated in different kinds of spices and they were so tender and soft. We really enjoyed those as well. For main courses, we got the lamb rack biriyani (obviously) and the Goa Fish Curry (ambotik sauce- a new chef's special that they had just added to the menu). Both dishes were absolutely delicious! The lamb rack's meat came off the bone easily and the gravy over the lamb was so delicious. The rice in the biriyani was very flavorful too. The ambotik sauce was also so good! It was the perfect mix of tangy and spicy and it went really well with the tilapia fish (you can choose to have it with shrimp or chicken too). We got tandoori roti and rice with it as well. Lastly, for dessert we ordered the paan masala ice cream and the moongdal halwa. The owner insisted we try the new orange kulfi so he ended up treating us to that as well! The paan masala ice cream was really good! You're only going to like it if you like paan masala though. The moongdal halwa was really good too. It was the perfect amount of sweet and not overwhelming at all. The orange kulfi ice cream was good too, but I'm not that big of a fan of orange flavored ice cream. Nevertheless, I truly enjoyed every single dish and dessert I tried. Overall, I'm so happy with my experience here. The service was great and the food was great, what else do you need? I can't wait to come back here again!

Yelp
Great food. Service was awesome. Place is very laid back and good for quality service. Thank you. Good stuff PS. Tandoori chicken Was delicious

Yelp
On the website says dog allow . But when you ask the host and he look at us like it was stupid question with the answer "NO "

Yelp
I don't typically go for Indian restaurant, but decided to give it a try. I am glad I did, because food here is excellent. Every dish was very flavorful and goes great to with naan. I really like their lamb chop. I recommend that you try this restaurant

Aditi M.

Yelp
Their veg Manchuria and chili paneer are good, but a little salty and the Manchuria balls are little hard. But both the fishy are flavorful. Paneer tikka and butter chicken are little tangy. Not the best I have had. Could be way better and a little spicy. BEST PART: Naan it's really good.

Joana J.

Yelp
Food was so amazing and it was beautiful inside! The naan was huge and the butter chicken was so creamy with excellent presentation. Edwin our waiter was the best! Very attentive and kind and recommended me the black lentils which were sooo good!

Alyssa R.

Yelp
I'd seen this restaurant in passing and after looking at the menu, couldn't pass up the great pricing for a lunch meal. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala (Medium spice level) with plain naan. The tikka masala was definitely more tomato-y but had great flavor. I regret not getting it spicier as the medium had no spice whatsoever. The naan was soft and I'll definitely be trying the garlic version next time. Friendly staff, good lunch pricing and portions, and petty good food!

Yelp
As an Indian, I already believe the best food is made from my moms hand. Although I gotta say, this place does a great job of adding a twist. First of all, the naan was the size of my fiancé's head and mine combined, it was basically the size of a dosa. The portions of food at this place was satisfying. My fiancé, and I eat meat. My best friend and her fiancé are vegetarians. They had food options for all of us. We dug right in. We got some common items and some innovative ones. Both traditional and innovative dishes were amazing. Would love to come back here when I'm back in town.

Yelp
Took an hour to get food. Food was dry and not cooked well. It was a busy night I get it, but worst service I have ever experienced. Go ANYWHERE else.

Yelp
I was so happy to find this Indian restaurant. I wish it was closer to my house I would come here for lunch often. The food was delicious, prices are reasonable. *Pro tip: get lunch here! For $11 you get a lot of delicious food and dessert Plus All Lunch Specials are Served with Basmati Rice & A Choice of Naan or Roti Onion Kulcha or Garlic Naan. The space is beautifully designed and decorated in a way where every element is interesting. The lighting, the colors, the textures create an ambiance with a touch of modern glam. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. However, I was glad I knew what I was getting because the server wasn't very proactive into explaining things unless I asked specific questions. The food is absolutely amazing. Out of this world. Authentic flavors. I can't recommend this restaurant more. Dilli Ki Papri Chaat 4.5 Stars Very flavorful Butter chicken Lollipops: 5 stars. Delicious and juicy plus super cool presentation! Chicken tikka role: 4 stars. It's ehh standart. Best part is the Naan which you can order on the side Paneer Makhani: 4.5 starts My first time trying this dish and loved the flavors. So Delicious ! Naan: 5 stars. Fluffy, and soft, Sooo good! The chai isn't as sweet as the typical ones we get which was great. It was quite delicious.

Yelp
4.5 stars for the food, 5 stars for the service, 4 stars for ambiance. My kids' first time dining at an Indian restaurant and all went all. Our waiter made great recommendations and we enjoyed variety of appetizers, curry and lamb chop. Desert was very good too. Garlic nan was excellent. Considering the ambiance and service the price was very reasonable. BYOB!

Yelp
Our favorite authentic Indian restaurant, located in Ridgewood NJ. The restaurant is located in a high trafficked area of Bergen County of New Jersey. They respect ams adhere to the covid guideline. Whether eating outdoors or indoors where you can admire their sophisticated decor, definitely deserve a visit . We always bring our own wine. The samosas, the Buffalo cauliflower, vindaloo dishes, the naan - please make your reservations and let me know your thoughts. Restaurant is closed on Mondays. I will post photos on my next visit.

Yelp
Don't do the lunch specials. Four of us went for lunch. I ordered the chicken tikka masala. With no exaggeration, I was LITERALLY served two cubed pieces of chicken in a bit of marsala sauce for $13. I couldn't believe it. My husband's dish as well. I believe they ration the chicken pieces- two per order. It's unbelievable and embarrassing, to say the least. AND they gave us a small bowl of rice for four people.

Yelp
Ridgewood has one of the best restaurants in the area. I follow Yelp on Instagram and they had advertised this place by having people who follow enter in a contest to win $100! Of course, I had to try and enter to win ( I didn't win), but I did get a message the following day after entry from Delhi Accent with a $15 certificate! Some plans fell through on a Saturday night and my husband and I decided to come here for dinner (thankfully they closed at 11pm). Not busy at all with a few patrons, we were seated immediately, choosing to sit by the window. The interior of this place is so cute- very modern and very much how I'd like to imagine my own dining room. Hardwood floors with rustic looking wooden tables and cloth chairs, the color scheme and the lighting really sets the mood for this new place. There's a warm vibe when you first walk in and it just feels homey. The menu is extensive, but not too overwhelming, with some of the typical foods you'll see at other Indian restaurants. My husband and I settled for their garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, and the aloo gobi masala dum. We were served this complimentary potato ball with mango dressing on top- kind of like croquette. Anything involving potatoes, is a plus on in my book! Our food didn't take long to come out right after. Having gone to other Indian restaurants before, we were expecting the naan to be cut up into pieces and served in a basket... this was NOT the case at Delhi Accent. If you're a fan of naan, this is a must order dish- the naan was bigger than my face and probably about the size of a tennis racket (a little overly exaggerated, but you'll see in the my pics). It. Was. HUGE. I love anything with garlic in it and the way the naan was cooked where the edges were a little burnt, but not TOO burnt, was absolutely mouth-watering. My aloo gobi masala (cauliflower and potatoes) was so light and delicious. I mixed it with a little of the basmati rice but I could've definitely eaten the dish alone. My husband's chicken tikka masala was cooked really well. The chicken was nice and tender, the masala wasn't too thick and yogurty and the spices weren't overpowering where you can't enjoy your food. Our waiter/owner (?), Shay, engaged in conversation with us throughout the night, asking how the food is, refilling our waters, talking to us about Ridgewood, and recommending other locations for us to try! The service we received tonight was phenomenal. Good service and good food is a mixture that'll get a new place like this 5 stars on Yelp. I will definitely come back here in the future with some friends whenever I'm craving Indian food! Prices are reasonable, food is delicious, service was amazing, and BYOB- what more could you ask for? For those who know Ridgewood, parking can be annoying, but there's ample parking next to the restaurant. I look forward to coming back here- nothing like a good spicy dish to warm me up during the cold winter months ahead! Thank you Shay and the rest of your staff for treating us so well and for the additional recommendations to other family-owned restaurants!

Yelp
My husband I were craving some good Indian food for dinner and we had seen a Facebook ad for this new Indian restaurant in Ridgewood. We love coming to Ridgewood for the atmosphere and cute restaurants so we just had to try this place out. It was a Sunday night and only a few tables were full so we were seated right away. From the moment we entered the restaurant until the moment we left, we were treated with the utmost hospitality. The owner of the restaurant along with the staff were so kind and pleasant, it made us feel right at home. The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully and has a nice warm vibe. The menu is vast and very inclusive so we had so many options to choose from. We were greeted with a delicious Amuse Bouche of a potato tiki with a sweet and spicy mango chutney. It was perfectly crispy and savory and a great way to kick off the meal. We love trying new restaurants so we ordered a variety of appetizers to taste some classic items and new innovative items to get a feel for the restaurants flavor and style. We ordered a lasuni gobi, Delhi papdi chaat, pudina paneer tikka, and the butter chicken lollipops. The appetizers were so flavorful and delicious. I'm not a chaat fan but I couldn't stop eating this one. The lasuni gobi was perfectly crispy, spicy and garlicky and the butter chicken lollipops were a total hit, I definitely recommend it! The paneer tikka was good, but it was a bit too dry for me and I was pretty full from the other appetizers. For the main course we ordered the methi paneer malai toast and a chili garlic naan to share. It was probably the best Indian main course and best naan I've ever had. The naan was huge and more than enough for us to share but the perfect ratio of chili to garlic and butter. The paneer entree was beautifully rich and creamy and the paneer itself was melt in your mouth. We also had the chance to try the orange kulfi dessert as well as a few others. The orange kulfi was such a unique concept and absolutely amazing. I was so stuffed I couldn't eat much of it but the flavors were phenomenal. Overall, I would highly recommend this as a wonderful fine dining Indian restaurant for the north jersey area. I know I will definitely be back and next time with family and friends. Thank you for such a lovely experience!

Yelp
Normally I am a big fan of this place, but tonight was disappointing. The appetizer (which came to us less than warm) tasted delicious, but the entree were let downs. The Chicken Vindaloo: on the menu it says it's "not for the faint-hearted" so, normally, we assumed it was going to be spicy. The dish had less spice than the chana masala we ordered and it was warm at most. We thought we had gotten the wrong dish because it wasn't even the slightest spicy and it had potatoes (which was not listed on the menu). It wasn't bad in taste but it wasn't what we ordered from what was described on the menu. They insisted it was the right dish and asked us if we wanted to take it back but at that point we don't want to send it to the back and wait. We asked two waiters about the dish and one of them said that they normally ask "not spicy, medium, or hot" and we were not asked that. The waiter then said that they make it medium if nothing is said BUT THIS ISNT SPICY. My spice tolerance is decent, but not extraordinary where something of medium heat would be nothing to me. The chana masala was okay; a little watered down but for the most part good. We decided to try a new type of naan so we got the Khyber Parantha; now it said there's mint on it but we were taken aback about how much (look at the picture). We scrapped off of the majority and it was fine after that, but this is just something to keep in mind. Now the service: They filled our water glasses ONCE in the beginning and never again. They also would walk around but not check in on us if everything was okay. At the end, (when they had already picked up our food from the table) we were waiting to get a check and leave (we sat there looking around with a credit card in hand) and NO ONE came to us until we had to stop a waiter walking by and ask. So disappointed.

Yelp
There's a lot of Indian dining options in Ridgewood, this was just subpar. Not to say the food was bad but definitely not warranting my return. Palak Chaat was great, kebabs were good. Butter chicken tasted like vodka sauce which was a big turn off. Price point is standard. But there are way better options.

Yelp
We've been in New Jersey for over 25 years, and one thing the Northern Part of New Jersey has always lacked is a fine dining, eclectic restaurant in the Indian category. We got a chance to come here few days of it opening and it was something I was personally looking forward to even leading up to the opening. On first take, when you enter, the beautiful setting, dim lighting, soft music and staff that greeted you with a smile was very welcoming. Akshay, the owner came and seated us and we were excited to get started right away. We ordered the following appetizers: Delhi chaat - PHENOMENAL, right level of crisp, right mix of potatoes and the chutneys were phenomenal. Butter chicken lollipops - very different and very impressive. Absolutely delicious. Pudhina paneer - big quantity, and delicious but just slightly on the drier side, could be just slightly more moist Lasooni Gobi- AMAZING. Crispy, FRESH garlic pieces and the perfect tang to it. We got the chili garlic naan for main course which btw is HUGE. We typically eat one naan each, this one naan was good for two of us and had left overs. We ordered the Methi malai toast which was absolutely delicious. The fresh methi, pieces churned in the perfect and delectable gravy was rich in taste but even better as a compliment with the semi toasted paneer. By the end of the dinner we couldn't move because of how full we were but what's a dinner without dessert! The dessert we got was Gulab jamun-- classic and delicious And ORANGE KULFI -- wow, this was amazing. Real orange on the outside stuffed with a cold center of kulfi on the inside and the taste was so delicious you can't stop eating it. We told Akshay, it's been a long time coming for a delicious fine dining Indian restaurant in the north jersey area. This hit the spot, the tastebuds, and the cravings. We will be back, but next time with our friends and our families to let them experience the delicious tastes! A must try in an already restaurant favorite city of Ridgewood, this adds to the city's rich culture in delicious restaurants Nice job done, can't wait to be back.

Yelp
My wife and I had just spent a long day traipsing around the general area doing family genealogy. We were hungry and just needed a place to sit and relax. We got there just as it opened at 5:00 pm. The restaurant is BYOB, so no drinks available for us. But water tasted pretty good. The menu is extensive. The host recommended the tandoori items, so we focused on that. We ordered two appetizers and two entrees. Along with dal, butter naan, and basmati rice, we had much more food than we could possibly eat. Plus they served us a delicious amuse buche. Everything was absolutely delicious. And the service was exceptional. Finally, when the bill came, very reasonable. This restaurant has only been open for 6 days, so lots of things could have gone wrong. Nothing did, which is a testament to the training given to the staff. This was an excellent choice and we will go back!

Yelp
Excellent food and service. I have tried every Indian restaurant in Ridgewood, NJ. This is my absolutely favorite. I highly recommend !!!

Yelp
Food is exquisitely consistent. My favorite North Indian restaurant. Formerly known as Bhukara Grill all of the way from NYC is now in Ridgewood, NJ!! All of their Tandoori Grilled dishes are to die for along with their elongated, stretched Garlic Naan bread. Give it a try....
