The 12 Best Seafood Restaurants In Jacksonville, 2021 - Eater Miami

"Newcomer Bulkheads Taphouse and Kitchen specializes in all things crab and Maryland-style seafood including masterfully prepared crab cakes. The restaurant is located in a strip mall on a busy road, so it’s easy to miss, but it's certainly worth seeking out for a crab cake sandwich that’s more crab than anything else." - Megan duBois

Maryland crab cake and lemon pepper salmon. Nice little place. Food was great! Friday night and there was live entertainment outside. Great atmosphere and friendly service.

This is a very small place. The servers were not welcoming. Maybe it was an "off" day. The crab cake was the best I've had since moving to Florida. My husband's wings were okay. The key lime pie was delicious. I need a little more ambiance when I'm spending almost $100. Next time, we may try take out, if there's a next time.

Fantastic! Great selection of beers. The food is surprisingly good. I believe the chef really takes pride in what he makes. It wasn't busy so he ran the food out and we kept chatting about it with him. And he seemed genuinely interested about how we liked it. Connor, our server was great! He answered all our questions with ease and seemed to know his craft well. We will definitely be back!

Awesome place and the owners are the sweetest! I enjoyed getting to know their background and story during our 1st time there. The crab flatbreads are incredible! Very happy about this spot - it's nice to have something different in our city. Maryland crab and awesome brews! Love it!

Unfortunately, I have to say I am not pleased with my experience. Our office had lunch from here today and I was really excited to try the "amazing" crab cakes, as they are given such a great review. It could just be my preference but the crab cake that I had while it had decent flavor it was very soft. I tend to like mine with a little crunch to the outside. The minimal fries I received were barely even cooked. This lunch was definitely over priced for one small crab cake and 8-10 undercooked fries and I truly expected more.

This is my first Yelp review ever. I typically don't voice a public complaint and rarely have anything to complain about. The server was rude and food was not great. I had 3 pretzel sticks (came w 3) and a Flatbread. No more than $30. A friend and I collectively drank 14 beers over 6 hours of time at $7 a beer. We split the bill and tipped 20%. Our credit card statements collectively show $190 in charges. This doesn't add up. I tried to call the merchant and he rudely told me "ma'am you drank 23 beers". I wouldn't be able to walk if I drank 23 beers! Never going there again.

Tiny little restaurant, huge personality. Dinning here was a nice surprise. We visited on a Sunday and they had live music, a solo act. Great beer selection, they hit all the marks. Food was well cooked and everything we had tasted great. Kudo's to the proprietor(s).
