⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bull & Bear Roadhouse Grill is a hidden gem with serious flavor! 🔥🍔 From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was laid-back and welcoming—perfect for kicking back and digging into some seriously good food. The grilled meats were cooked to perfection, the burgers were juicy and packed with flavor, and the sides? Absolutely killer (do not skip the mac & cheese 😍). The staff was friendly, fast, and made us feel right at home. Whether you’re craving a hearty meal, great drinks, or just a chill spot with good vibes, Bull & Bear Roadhouse Grill delivers. Can’t wait to come back for round two!

Food was good. We had the bourbon steak and the hot chicken wings. The cornbread was delicious and I would definitely recommend it. My steak was good, but I asked for it well done and it came out medium well. That’s my only thing. I would never send food back to the kitchen because that’s the custom. The service was excellent. Michelle was very attentive. The place was very nice for family and friends. It is wheelchair accessible and culturally diverse. Lots of space to eat. Lots of places to park. They have a full bar. The bathrooms were clean. There is Wi-Fi. There is also a pool table and a section place for a party.

Google
Terrible food. Got my meal to go by ordering through their direct website. The "Ring of fire" burger was bland and honestly tasted like a plain cheeseburger aside from the humongous whole lettuce leaf. Advertised with "Santa Fe sauce" and "fresh pickled jalapenos". The sauce was basically water seeping out of the bottom and had no particular taste at all. "Fresh" jalapenos are straight from the jar. Fries were soggy with not a grain of salt. Their garlic Parm sauce is basically butter, garlic, and water by the looks of it. Incredibly disappointing from a place that is currently under a huge renovation and charging $16 for a burger and fries. Next time I'm in the area, I'll probably go to McDonald's.

Google
What an amazing experience, from our waitress Michelle to the chicken wings in the sweet garlic chili sauce and the most creative and delicious brisket Caesar salad. We are visiting from out of town and if we're ever out this way we will definitely stop back by for an amazing meal and even better service!!!

Google
Everything was absolutely amazing. I'm a fan of Caribbean jerk sauce on wings. They had a Jamaican jerk that trumped any Caribbean jerk I've ever had. Cornbread was amazing. Southwest egg rolls were also great. I'm not sure why the restaurant is averaging 4.3 stars it's 5 star all the way in my book.

Google
Bull and Bear Roadhouse is a great option for anyone looking for a place to stop along interstate 90. They are just a quick detour off the highway with easy access on and off form both directions. The service was great, we were greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant and seated quickly. Our server was attentive friendly, and knowledgeable. The drinks were good, but the food was great. We started with the Loaded Salt Potatoes and the Southwest Chicken Egg Rolls both of these were very good. Despite the name the Loaded Salt Potatoes are not overly salted, they are loaded with pulled pork, bacon, and cheese. The Rebel burger was perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and loaded with flavor. This will definitely be a part of my future travel plans through this area.

Google
Cool spot near my jobsite. Some hearty portion sizes for sure. Kind of a home cooked feel to some of the dishes like the NY poutine which was excellent. They are doing improvements outside which seem to be a nice outdoor dining patio with firepit coming soon. I recommend a visit to see how you like it.

Google
Great stop if you're in a nearby hotel. Service was just what you would hope from a local business, warm and friendly. Food was top notch, my only complaint was that I couldn't try more food. The chicken tenders were homemade and high quality chicken. It's hard to mess up chicken tenders, but it's another thing to make them really well which they achieved. My only real critique is the payment method. You have to download a whole app and sign up for an account to pay via QR code. If a lot of your patrons are coming from hotels, I would think you would want a painless and quick payment method. Still, a minor complaint.

Yelp
Was quite happy with the service, and the food. Traveled to meet my girlfriend at a conference she was participating in painting with uniquely abled (handy capped) people and there had to have been 16-20 of us that met here for dinner. We called a head and they were able to accommodate all of us and they have everything set up early which was also nice. Looked as if everyone enjoyed their meal, I indulged in a salad with blackened salmon. The table oOoed and awed as they plated it for me and it was as good as it is pictured.

Yelp
I was in town for work , 1st time there . Got there I think around 11:15 am is , not to busy , I was the only one sitting at the bar . By noon the place was packed as it's in a commercial business district. Lunch time ! I wanted some BBQ but didn't want the big 3 meat BBQ plate , other than that they have brisket or pulled pork sandwiches, would be nice if they had a one meat meal with a side and maybe cornbread ? So I ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of little potatoes . I guess there popular around here , and they had pulled pork on top . The sandwich was amazing ! So much tender brisket with onions and cheese , I didn't even have the bread . And the potato side was also amazing , with a soda it was like $25 . It was a meal in itself so I was very happy .

Yelp
Do you want a worse Tully's? Do you want burgers undercooked? Do you want seasoned-less chicken? Do you want a staff that seems to be annoyed? Do you want a place that is full of politics talk so loud you can't tune it out? Do you want a generic selection of drinks and beers at prices that make you wish you stayed home? Do you want less quality but more portions? Do you want fries served without any salt, that have been sitting in the window so long they've lost their crunch? Do you have anywhere else to go? Yes.

Yelp
Been going the past few Wednesdays for trivia, 7-9. Fun times. The staff is really friendly and the food has been decent. I've had a couple burgers and they were good. If you're in the mood for wings- try the Jamaican jerk very tasty. They also have a huge ice cream desert that looks so good but I've yet to try it. All in all, normal pub fare but that's all good by me. Check it out.

Yelp
Poor service for to go orders. Ordered online and wait was one hour till pickup. Showed up at the pickup time and had to wait 15-20mins. It was a small order. Those at the bar ordered and received food before mine was ready. No apology or anything for the wait and inconvenience. Food was okay, nothing special.

Yelp
After gassing up the rental on the way to the airport, I searched for a "non-chain" lunch spot. Bull and Bear popped up as the closest option. So glad it did! I was served complimentary in-house made cornbread with maple butter (Yummy!). I ordered the Rochester Wrap with a side of tater tots. Wrap was fresh and tasty. Tots were perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's doubtful that my travels will take me back to this area, but I'd definitely visit again if I do return. Oh, and the classic rock playing was an added bonus!

Yelp
I tell everyone about this spot!!! It's one of my go-tos in Syracuse. Bbq food is my weakness in life, and bull & bear NEVER disappoints. Whenever I have family or friends visiting from out of town I take them here! And they have all been super satisfied with the food (and my people are huggggeeeee foodies and super picky about food lol). I always get the Trio which is called the "Big Bear BBQ". It's $25 dollars and the amount of food you get is insane. Perfect for sharing. It comes with your choice of 3 meats and 2 sides. The brisket and bbq ribs are my favorite. Perfectly tender smothered in bbq sauce. For sides I usually get the baked beans and cornbread with maple butter which is literally heaven in your mouth. The Mac and cheese is also a STAPLE. They have a full bar with an amazing drink menu and some great beers/ciders on tap. The lemonades are my favorite!! Mondays are $7 dollar burger night. Last time I came with my Mom and Grandma my Ma got a burger and she said it was delish. Also a great spot to watch sports!! Pro tip: make sure you wear your stretchy pants because you'll be walkin' outta here FULLLLLL.

Yelp
My first time here in a long time. I came in with a big crowd on a Saturday night. We were in the back room at a long table. The waitress was very attentive with the table size. They were very nice to breakup checks. I had the beef brisket smothered sandwich which was sliced thin and lean. I loved my side of salt potatoes with sour cream and pulled pork. It was a very nice experience and really enjoyed what I ordered.

Yelp
Nachos are good. Beer was cold. The restaurant got a bit chilly during winter time. Would totally go again. Great service and friendly bar staff
google avatar

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday afternoon and it happened to be happy hour with half off appetizers and BOGO margaritas, so we went kinda ham. Lol. We got nachos, wings, firecracker shrimp, a shrimp and a steak taco, Cobb salad, and salmon with two strawberry margaritas. It was all delicious and came out to less than $100 before tip. Everything seemed freshly made and the portions were huge. Would come back to get everything again.

Yelp
I was traveling home from touring Oswego college with a pair of hungry teenagers and spotted this place on the map. They have house made panko crusted pickle spears & dill pickle chicken wings that sparked our curiosity and prompted the stop. When we walked in, it was everything you'd want and expect out of a tavern. Modern country music, tvs, an abundance of beer options, and hearty pub fare. Above and beyond that standard pub vibe, there were plenty of non alcoholic drink options, healthier offerings, clean bathrooms, and super friendly staff that made it very family friendly. This place is versatile enough to stop with your family, have a quick lunch with colleagues, or throw back a few beers with friends. In addition to the aforementioned pickle offerings we had some poutine and this wild burger special shown in the attached photos. It is a cheeseburger with a ham steak, boneless ribs, pulled pork, candied bacon, pickles and onion rings. Somehow, it wasn't overly salty! It was HUGE and messy but quite delicious. The tater tots on the side were irresistibly crunchy. The real draw of this place is that there's a ton made in house so it's much tastier than similar items you might see on a big chain restaurant menu (and much cleaner than a dive bar) If you're in the area and looking for a casual place to grab a drink and a tasty bite to eat, check this place out!

Yelp
We were here for dinner. The place were not busy when we were there. Plenty of parking space. Service was good. We can't complain. We both enjoyed our dinner there. Food were also pretty good.

Yelp
Great food and service chicken tenders were some of the best have ever had. Service was great and trivia night is fun

Yelp
The barbecue was excellent. Amazing food and service was on point. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Two adults went on a Wednesday, early evening, to watch SU basketball. Place was busy & a bit loud - until the SU game started. Then the plaaace went quieter, and they turned up the game! It was great for watching SU. We got the BBQ sandwich and a Rebel burger. Both were good to great. We both upgraded our sides to loaded BBQ potatoes - which were both tasty, but NOT hot. Not even very warm. We told the waitress, who brought two more, but they were only warm, still not hot. Potatoes & BBQ *should* be pretty easy to serve hot we thought. Minus points for this signature side. We will go here again if in the neighborhood. Pub atmosphere with pub food and a bunch of beers and cocktails.

Nick G.

Yelp
Jarrod is the best cook! His food is so yummy and tasty and I love it so much. I can't wait to eat there again. I love this place!
google avatar

Tyler M.

Yelp
Got the beam burger. Burger was good and so juicy it made a mess all love my hands, so that's good. The poutan wasn't really good. Fries not crispy and brisket was 6/10.

Geordie W.

Yelp
A busy Saturday night, the place was mobbed... how would this turn out? Fantastic! Was quickly seated at the bar thanks to friendly and accommodating guests. Bartender was great, on top of the action, and she kept things moving while engaging with the guests. Hot chicken was as advertised... hot and crispy as I like it. The real stand out were the fried pickles - best ever - no kidding. Thank you!
google avatar

Rob R.

Yelp
This a great local restaurant. We had a BBQ platter and it did not disappoint. The service was impeccable. The prices are very reasonable considering how expensive everything thing is these days. I couldn't believe how busy it was for a Tuesday night I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Yelp
Went there during a blizzard and hunkered down. The food was amazing, the beers were cold and the staff was friendly. I went there after my brother said it was amazing, he was right.
google avatar

Harrison G.

Yelp
I've always been a fan of this place, but they've almost priced themselves out my patronage. I went there for a quick supper and a beer with my wife recents and I was really shocked when the bill came. I figured that there had to be a mistake when I saw that the bill was over $75 for a couple of hamburgers and two beers. When I looked at the bill though, it was right. Two draft beers at $11.00 each! Pretty insane for a draft, even given today's economy. The service was a little slower than normal, but nothing to complain about. Food was average. Definitely not worth $75 plus tip. I know that times are tough, but they'd better be careful not to price themselves out of existence.

Yelp
Pub style restaurant... We went for a late lunch , it's a pub for sure, dark but not super dark... staff was friendly and welcoming ... not super busy ..., the ring of fire looked excellent and the California burger I replaced the bacon with salsa and made it a true California.... Nice place , fast service and excellent food !!!!

Yelp
Although I don't have any pictures the food was AMAZING. Service was great, we got seated right away on a Saturday afternoon. We were just looking for some quick food, but it's a great sports bar with TVs all around, if that's what you're looking for. I got a burger which was phenomenal and I pretty much swallowed it whole because I was so hungry. The only thing I will say is their queso tastes like Mayonnaise. We got the pretzels and cheese and it didn't taste like queso at all.

Janice B.

Yelp
How do you eat at a restaurant 3 times, order the same thing and it comes out different ways each time. 1st time food was amazing, 2nd time good and this time sorely lacking. Consistent food is essential.

Liz M.

Yelp
Really exceeded expectations. Wish we lived local! Loved the poutine, Hannover, and the peanut butter pie.
google avatar

Erica R.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by this place. My friends suggested it as a spot where we could all meet up for dinner one more time before they left town, and I assumed it'd be some cliché, loud, "Texas Roadhouse"-esque type place... but it actually felt like a quality-but-casual, neighborhood roadhouse option. The staff was attentive, the menu had plenty of options, and the food itself was delicious (I had the beef tacos, a delicious combination of Korean BBQ brisket, Napa 'slaw, pickled red onions, and jalapenos - but we each took bites from each other's plates). I'd definitely go back to try other options on the menu.

Yelp
NOTE: This review is for the FOOD TRUCK for Bull & Bear! Attending a concert at St. Joseph's Health Amphitheater, a family member and I were looking for dinner before the show. We came across a food truck for Bull & Bear and suddenly had a craving for a burger and fries, and this food truck delivered! The ordering process was simple, quick, and totally cashless. Staff working the truck seemed friendly enough, albeit we did not speak more than placing our order. I ordered their "Vermonter" burger, which included a generous side of fries. The "Vermonter" is a one-half pound burger topped with extra sharp Vermont cheddar cheese and peppered bacon, as well as lettuce, tomato, and red onion, served in a brioche bun. We were not asked about how we wanted the burger cooked but it appeared their burgers had a medium cook, which is what I would have asked for anyway. There was plenty of extra sharp Vermont cheddar cheese on top! There were a couple big, crispy slices of peppered bacon underneath the cheese, which was delicious! The fries were hot and the right balance between soft and crispy. The price may have appeared high, but seeing the amount of food I received and how tasty it was, I felt it was appropriate. I was full and happy after eating everything without feeling too full. I was impressed with this food truck! If/when I go through Syracuse, I will try to seek out the Bull & Bear restaurant and see if it's just as good there.

Yelp
Yum yum yum! My first time trying this place and everything was great! We got the catering service, and I tried a little bit of everything. I got the slow roasted pull chicken with the rolls, I ate it with and without the roll both are great. The meat was so juicy and and soft and great on the bun, it was not dry at all! The baked Mac and cheese was delicious, super creamy, I tired the fire chicken, super tender and juicy, easy to cut and melts in your mouth! The tomato cucumber salad was perfect to eat along the meat, the dressing and seasoning was just right! The corn bread, WOW! Is all I have to say, super soft and moist, it was sweet, it had me coming back for seconds! Love everything, I would definitely be coming back to try their other items!

Yelp
This place was absolutely terrible. We had a large party and 4 people were international guests just looking for dinner and some bbq. I was embarrassed we went here. All of our food was lukewarm. I personally got the bbq platter with 3 meats. Look at the picture of the brisket. It was grey!! Not good! Sausage was okay but cold. Fries sucked. Pulled pork was gross, brisket was NASTY. Slaw was okay. The best thing was the corn bread. No one of our 18 person party was impressed by anything. Waitress did her best but had a ton of other tables. How is this place in business?
google avatar

K. F.

Yelp
A nice bbq place. We stopped in for dinner and got the bbq platter to share. There was a nice variety and just right for us with the addition of a side of macaroni salad. Service was very good even on a busy evening, and the ambiance was as expected for a roadhouse. We will return on our next trip to Syracuse.
google avatar

Chuckie R.

Yelp
Full upon arrival..told 25 min wait. Managed to snag two seats at bar. Ordered food. Sat back and watched some tube. 43 min later food arrives. Is it hot? No, Quanity a d taste was ok. Too long a wait for food at the bar especially if it's not hot.
google avatar

Yelp
Was referred to B and B by the local hotel staff, where we are staying. Food was really good. Bartenders were super friendly. Food was really good. Will definitely return

Heaven L.

Yelp
What a hidden Syracuse gem! They have the best burgers and the drinks are cheap and good. It's rustic and comfortable like any great bar and grill should be. Thank you for the great service!
google avatar

Meredith S.

Yelp
Solid food and service. The poutine (I got "north of the border" style, with just gravy and cheese curds) is very tasty and satisfying. Roadhouse ambience, so not fancy, but fun!

Jean B.

Yelp
The food is usually very good and good value with great portions on the weekends. it's not as good during the week, food or service. The service varies depending on your wait staff. Overall, one of our top places to go.
google avatar

Charles H.

Yelp
I placed my order through the web site. Was easy to navigate. Food was delicious. Staff was easy to talk with about the order.

Joseph G.

Yelp
I brought an employee of a different race and they treated us the worst ever wouldn't seat us and mkved bar stools so they were "full" ABSOLUTELY RACIST DO NOT GO
google avatar

Rebecca D.

Yelp
Excellent food. Never disappoints. Good service. Nice atmosphere can east inside or out. Great drafts and good company.

Railey H.

Yelp
Paid online for a pickup order, when I got there they told me they were out of ingredients and container lids. I got no warning at all about the order until I was already there to pick it up. I was still forced to pay full price for less food and did not get what I ordered. Plus the food can now easily spill while trying to drive this back home. Incredibly disappointing for a first experience here. I will make sure not to come again.
google avatar

Mindy M.

Yelp
Bull and Bear roadhouse in Syracuse NY is a bar restaurant. Appetizer of Salt potatoes had shredded meat a touch of bacon and a dollop of sour cream. It also can be added as a side to a dish. Burgers come with fresh onions or you can order them sautéed. Meat cooked to order they are of a decent size sandwich. Full arrays of drinks including ginger ale. Peanut butter creamy cake dessert finishes the meal. Jessica I was a fun waitress.
google avatar

Alexandria L.

Yelp
I've had many friends and family work at bull & bear, so you'd think we'd be sick of the food - but we are not! Their ranch is one of my favorite's I've had, and their monthly burger & margarita specials are so fun. I'm actually having them cater my wedding! They are also featured at the amphitheater, which is awesome to have more fulfilling food at this venue and keeps the feeling of summer BBQ alive! Highly recommend all locations - try to tots with their special ketchup-chipotle sauce and the Big Bear Meal! Also, PEANUTBUTTERPIE
google avatar

Morgan M.

Yelp
I will start this as I always do by saying I don't give out five stars unless I am really blown away. I stand by my 4 star rating. This place is great for lunch, the food is solid and the atmosphere is always welcoming. The wait staff is always on top of their game. The food can take a little long to come out depending on the amount of people in the restaurant but that is pretty much the way it is anywhere. I have eaten here a lot over the years and will continue to do so as the food is always solid and the staff is always great to me. Good for some beers and burgers or just stopping in for lunch. I had the Cubano platter for lunch a while back and that was a good sandwich and more food than I needed for lunch. I was just there a few nights ago and had the Ring of Fire burger which is always good if you like a little heat. The ribs are good and so are the wings. If you have not been here or just haven't been in a while stop on by you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Mike K.

Yelp
This was an awesome place to have dinner... Both the interior and exterior decor is really neat. The service was awesome. I had the patty melt which was delicious - I had the loaded salt potatoes which were incredible for my side. I would recommend this place
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
I love this place. The food, The Staff, and customers. This place is always busy, but they get you in and out in a timely fashion. The staff is always so friendly, always so humorous, always very attentive. I think that's why I always come back and see some of the same customer faces time after time. The food is always delicious and cooked with care. The ingredients are always fresh and delicious. I've had pretty much everything on the menu. It's all fantastic, including the beer. We normally come here around lunch time and they are super fast at getting to us. I would recommend this place and anything on the menu. It's all great. I would also recommend the bar area as well, the bartenders are a riot. One of them has a squirt gun and plays games with one of the regulars. Such a great atmosphere!! I will see you guys soon.
google avatar

Mike G.

Yelp
Crowded but worth the wait, big portions, great taste, I had the Bonfire macaroni and cheese with pulled pork and cooked onions, very rich, couldn't finish. They are known for their burgers though which are big. Bring cash or there is a surcharge for credit
google avatar

K H.

Yelp
I got the loaded waffle fries for take out. They were great! I was a little surprised at the wait time from ordering from the website. Especially because it just says as soon as possible when you are ordering and then once you actually place the order is when they tell you the actual time. It was a 50 minute wait at lunch time. It should have been notated somewhere before you actually pay for everything. So just be aware.
google avatar

Nancy L.

Yelp
I had the BLT with turkey and I had tater tot's on the side. My sandwich was huge, fresh, and tasty. My husband had the French dip sandwich with the cucumber tomato salad. We both enjoyed our dinner! The server was attentive to our needs. The restaurant was clean. This sports bar had TVs playing and music playing at the same time. It was a little loud but we were able to talk and enjoy our food.

Laura A.

Yelp
Service was bad. Decent food. Nothing to write home about It's pretty loud. But it is a bar
