This experience was indeed one of the best we've had thus far! From easily Getting a reservation on the open table app to finding the restaurant and immediately being seated, everything flowed perfectly! We were seated at what seemed to be a VIP table(round table for 6 yet there were only 2 of us🤣) with a beautiful window view of the pool and mountains! We had seen an advertisement about a Sunday surf and turf special which was what led us to this place. Our server was Daniel and the back waiter was Perla. They were excellent! Perla even brought us an extra serving of the complementary Honey and cranberry butter bread. An extra serving of bread can make all the difference! It is delicious. The bread alone is reason enough to stop by but we didn't stop there. We ordered the surf and turf special, baked potato soup, a twice baked potato and the wedge salad. We just had to try a little bit of everything! It all was made to perfection, especially the steak. Cooked medium, rare and seasoned just right. The goddess dressing on the salad is amazing. We tried a Paloma cocktail recommended by Daniel and also had the chocolate layered cake for dessert which is included with the surf and turf order. They not only cleared our table but also cleaned it after each course! The service was extraordinary! Great dining experience! Well worth the money!

Had reservations hence no wait. Try the Open Table app. Surf and Turf was very good. The desert had to be taken home. The Potato soup with Bacon was full of flavor. Our staff person was Daniel and the back waitress was Perla. Daniel was very knowledgeable and had great suggestions. We ordered what he suggested and everything was fine. Perla kept the drinks filled and was also very helpful. We will definitely try to be here monthly on Wednesday nights. I hope to continue to update this review.

Wanted to love this. Was so looking forward to a good steak, unfortunately I'd say subpar steak with inattentive service even though near empty tables. The loudest people in the restaurant were the workers laughing and carrying on gathered by the bar. The waitress didn't return to ask about our meal after the food was given. I would've returned the ribeye (uneven cooking, too much of thr fat rendered out, huge strip of grissel, etc). After waiting much too long, I had to ask the maitre d for salt and just ate it as is. We didn't see the waitress again until it was time to pay. I let her know I would've returned the steak if she had come to ask how things were, and she then offered to take it back, but we were ready to leave. Around 1 hr time for the meal. No wait, near empty restaurant. Dark, fancy, romantic atmosphere. For the food and service, however: 1 star. My wife did like her filet but said she'd never come back. The bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp appetizer was the best thing we ate. I wouldn't come here for the steak again. We had the shrimp appetizer, ribeye, filet, house salad, potato soup, steak fries, and mushrooms for $165.

Google
Very expensive steakhouse, which is okay I will take it for a top of the line steak. I visited this place a couple of years ago and went today, there was a drop in the quality of food. We ordered the tomahawk steak medium stew, which was not very tender and too much fat in it. For the appetizers, we ordered the wedge salad which was a small portion compared to my previous experience. The restaurant is at a great location and very well maintained and decorated though. Also the waiter was a little bit pushy in her way to make us order the food and at the end to pay the bill.

Google
Went here for birthday dinner. Was very happy with the choice. Was a little leery given some of the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone in my party was happy and all had good things to say after. The food was great. The steak was perfectly cooked and tender and all the sides were delicious as well. Servers were very nice and attentive. Cocktails were delicious, and was a really nice atmosphere. Overall a great experience and will be back sometime.

Google
I don’t know what everyone else is talking about, but the Filet I got, and the Barrel Aged Old Fashioned, were both amazing!! The staff was over the top nice. I felt like Royalty. The atmosphere was also absolutely wonderful. Great job!! I hope Sycuan pays their staff well?

Google
Great looking steakhouse. Our server was Sam. Aside from outstanding service, he was very attentive and knowledgeable about the different steaks. It was a Wednesday, and they had a surf and turf deal (steak and lobster - $55). I went with the surf and turf, and my fiancé went with the Delmonico Ribeye. We had our steaks medium rare and they came out great. The Delmonico was amazingly delicious. My steak could use a bit more seasoning, but overall it was good. I will definitely come back soon and try the other steaks.

Google
I’ve been here several times and every time it’s always been a fabulous experience!! This last time we had Lukas as our waiter and he was EXCEPTIONAL! He was extremely attentive and explained everything very well. Efram was always EXCELLENT TOO! Our dishes were always cleared and water was refilled without asking. Onto the food: their wedge salad and French onion soup is a must! We ordered the $29 filet and lobster special on Wednesday and it was the perfect size . The lobster wasn’t over cooked and the filet was a perfect medium rare. We also got the T bone. It’s a great value for $48 and definitely could serve 2 people. It was presented so beautifully and also cooked perfectly. Don’t skip on their NY cheesecake which is actually flown in from Brooklyn.

Yelp
Our server Daniel was wonderful, first and foremost. Impeccable and friendly service. He did warn us about the flavor profile of the wagyu being a bit funky but I was not prepared for how bad it was lol. Quit possibly the worst steak I've ever had both in texture and flavor. Very dry and tough and almost tasted like it had gone bad. My husband's steak was delicious and we were so full from our pre-steak food we easily shared that, thankfully :) Would fully endorse and recommend this place, just so NOT order the wagyu strip unless you like a really weird texture and flavor unlike any steak you've had before.

Yelp
Upon arrival, my wife and I were greeted by a hostess who seemed more interested in enforcing rigid policies than ensuring guest satisfaction. Despite the main dining area being near empty, she insisted that we sit outside. Her tone was curt, and she made it clear that our lack of reservations was an inconvenience to her. In summary, Bull and Bourbon failed to meet even the most basic expectations. The unaccommodating hostess, lackluster seating, and subpar service overshadowed any potential culinary delights. I won't be returning, and I recommend others think twice before choosing this establishment.

Yelp
We stopped in as part of our overnight stay at Sycuan after seeing the date night ads, but the date night special wasn't available. Instead they had a $55 steak and lobster special that includes choose of baked potato soup or house salad, 8 oz filet + 8 oz lobster tail + mashed potatoes + carrots, and a layered chocolate dessert. We paired it with the beet and goat cheese salad ($13) and they started us off with complimentary bread and bourbon honey butter. It was plenty of food for the 2 of us, we left quite full. Ratings in the order we ate: 1. Bourbon honey butter (5/5): wow, this was delicious! We ordered a second serving of bread and butter which we couldn't finish, but they boxed it up for us and it was a great late night snack! 2. The beet and goat cheese salad (5/5): it's a work of art, not what I was expecting based on the beet salad they have at the neighboring viewpoint restaurant, but this was so much better. Each bite was delicious and the pieces of grapefruit added the right amount of citrus that wasn't bitter at all. 3. The baked potato soup (4/5): Much better than the standard potato soup you normally get. It was well seasoned and the bacon pieces were hearty and good. 4. Lobster tail (5/5): by far the best lobster I've ever had and my husband said it was on par with other expensive restaurants. It was so sweet and flaky and came with generous melted butter for dipping, yum!! 5. Filet (4/5): we ordered medium rare and it came out rare. Not a deal breaker, but some bites had connective tissue which made them chewy. It was well seasoned though and most bites were awesome. 6. Layered chocolate cake (3/5): by far the thing we liked the least. The top layer was a bourbon chocolate mousse but it was a bit overpowering. The next layer we think was marshmallow which didn't have a lot of flavor. The bottom 2 layers were chocolate with the bottom layer being our favorite of the 4 and we think was dark chocolate. The bottom sponge cake was soaked and moist. Total came to $68 before tax and tip which was a heck of a deal. They also had half off wine bottle Wednesday, but we didn't partake. The prices for the full bottle are very reasonable compared to retail though. Overall the meal was so amazing that we are going back tonight thank you Sycuan and Bull and Bourbon, and especially thank you to our servers Nathan and Tomi! They gave excellent service and answered all of our many questions!

Yelp
Me and my partner we're staying at Sycuan and decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner. We got the $55 special 3-course Steak & Lobster dinner. The steak was very good cooked to perfection. The lobster looked amazing but was a bit overdone. We also got the shrimp cocktail and wedge salad. The plating is fantastic. We really enjoyed our food and the chocolate cake was one of the most moist I have ever had. The server was very nice and since we were full he packed our dessert to go. We also had some cocktails that were very good. We enjoyed the live piano and the person singing was amazing. Great atmosphere to enjoy a nice romantic meal. Next time we stay we will be dinning here again.

Liona H.

Yelp
I recently dined at Bull & Bourbon, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. The ambience was delightful, with live piano and singing, creating a classy atmosphere reminiscent of Sinatra. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the staff was not only helpful but even escorted us from the parking structure. As for the food, the 18oz Delmonico Rib-eye and Mac & cheese I ordered were exceptional, cooked to perfection (I ordered rare). It was served with decorative greens and roasted garlic. My rare steak was beautifully prepared, and we paired our meal with a superb bottle of champagne. My friend opted for the Filet Mignon Steak with mac & cheese, and we also indulged in the fantastic pork belly appetizer. However, the bananas foster dessert, while unique with nitrogen-made bourbon ice cream, deviated from the traditional recipe, featuring banana bread that didn't quite meet expectations in terms of flavor but the ice cream was good. Despite the dessert hiccup, the overall culinary experience was fantastic. The staff's eagerness to assist and the impressive show at our table added to the enjoyment. If you visit, don't forget to swipe your card, we received a $10 discount. Overall, Bull & Bourbon is a must-try, offering a top-notch dining experience on multiple levels. Our server was Daniel and he even got the staff to sign a birthday card for me before we left. For prices please check the photos of the menu and the bill. Enjoy everyone!

Nadia G.

Yelp
The staff were very nice and tried hard. The ambiance is nice, but I felt the chandeliers didn't match the rest of the decor and were quite overpowering. Like they renovated but then left the old lights. The food was 3/5. For the prices you'd expect the same quality as a fine dining restaurant. It's not

Yelp
Heard some good things about this steakhouse so came here valentines week to give them a shot. The menu looked impressive but they also advertised a surf and turf special with a filet mignon and an Australian lobster tail with mashed potatoes and carrots for $55. Wow. Sounds like a great deal but both the steak and the lobster were tough and dry. The best thing was the baked potatoes soup and the chocolate mouse dessert. Even the bread they serve u was hard and had to soak it in the soup so you did t have to use your back teeth to get it down. The reviews here are good and I did order the special so as the saying goes.... You get with you pay for. Would I come back? Hmmm maybe not but if I did I would order off the menu and not the specials.

Regine A.

Yelp
Came here for a very special occasion and I was not disappointed. The restaurant was not busy, very spacious, ambiance wasn't too loud. It almost feels like you're not in San Diego anymore, but in a good way. The food was amazing. We ordered the steak (medium rare - the only way to go). Mac n cheese (soo good). And the Wagyu burger (melting in your mouth good) paired with the crispiest fries. My fiancé and I also split the burger wedge salad which was delicious. We couldn't leave without having dessert. Our server recommended the cheesecake which was imported from New York. I must say, it was one of the best cheese cakes I've ever had. I'm looking forward to coming back here again.

Yelp
I was just like to say how Awesome this place is the food was fantastic our steak was not only tasty but cooked to perfection. On this valentines night it was extra special as I proposed to my girl and she said yes! Thank you to chef Jen who came out and personally welcomed us as did the manager Damon. Our server Daniel was not only friendly but very knowledgeable about all the entries. The food and service and people we're the best either of us have experienced. If you want to enjoy an excellent meal and fantastic service I recommend very highly. Thanx guys!!

Yelp
Service was immaculate and the food was amazing. We got the tomahawk steak and it was cooked to perfection. Carrots, mashed potatoes, wedge salad & drinks were all on point ! Thank you can't wait to come back

Rachel L.

Yelp
Gorgeous place, wide spacey seating arrangements. Lighting is lovely. It's perfect for a date night. Definitely on the high end spectrum. The steaks are sold Ala crate so you can assume the price range is about $$$+ Had my birthday dinner here this past year and it was just perfect. My taste buds were satisfied from our shareable lobster pasta. The lobster was huge! We were recommended the Delmonico Steak Cut by our awesome server...medium Rare was on point! We got an order each.. it was pretty filling sharing one first with having the pasta.. had to wait for our second steak tho.. but that was a perfect late night snack lol. & I've never had such an amazing steak before. Might just top my Ruth Chris one ..shhhh! Both amazing steak places! The bread was tasty and bourbon butter is the best!

Roger B.

Yelp
I've been here 4 times. Currently the best experience was Thursday nights lobster and filet and soup or salad and dessert for $55. Damn that's a great deal . I love the marine layer cocktail. The food is good and the ambiance excellent as well . Good job Sycuan you always impress me

S M.

Yelp
What a lovely experience. The steak here is exceptional; we believe it's the best we've ever had! Do yourself a favor and follow the server's recommendations for preparation. We also loved the French Onion soup. But the feature of our evening that made Bull & Bourbon feel the most upscale was the live music by Darion James... from our table I believed that a full band was performing at the bar, but he's a one man show! Incredibly talented, wide range of songs, beautifully performed. I would go back just for the music.

Cezar S.

Yelp
I've been here twice with the wifey. I always get something from their steak menu, and my wife would usually order something from their pasta menu. 24oz US Prime Porterhouse for my birthday. Onion soup was cheesy and delicious. Their old fashioned was different from other restaurants, which was also very good. Excellent customer service. Our server was outstanding and always smiling, with a positive attitude. Everyone was nice, actually. The ambiance was very comfortable and somewhat romantic. Will definitely go back here again for another special day.

Ashley S.

Yelp
The pianist and singer, atmosphere, waitress and manager were so nice:) The slab bacon was my absolute FAVORITE. Will be back SOON!!!

Dan E.

Yelp
For our stay at Sycuan Casino Resort I made reservations at their seemingly high-end steakhouse called "Bull and Bourbon". The dining room is beautiful and classy with more fantastic views of the valley through their tall windows. Their steaks are prepared on a custom wood burning grill. They feature an impressive selection of bourbon that compliments their traditional steakhouse fare. Therefore I started with an Old Fashioned which was very nice and aromatic. On to the food. My wife and I shared an order of the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes. Includes grilled lemon, arugula salad and gribiche sauce (I had to look that one up). The cakes were tasty and stout with a dense crust. That green substance shmear (gribiche) was excellent! I had the 8oz Grass Fed Filet Mignon, Oscar Style. The steak was outstanding and cooked perfectly to my requested medium-rare. The Baked Truffle Mac & Cheese we shared was fairly pedestrian however. Overall a very nice dinner experience.

Yelp
$$$$$ We took my father-in-law to Bull and Bourbon steakhouse for his 88th birthday last evening. The ambience was quiet with the service above all leather steakhouses we've been to. The waitress and the others assisting her were second to none. I ordered a porterhouse medium well the porterhouse game medium well. my wife and father-in-law both ordered the new item. The New York steaks strip boneless. They ordered it medium and medium well and it came in the way they ordered it. We ordered the sides of mashed potatoes and carrots. The carrots this time we're done to perfection, they were tender Sweet. We did order this time some appetizers, the bacon wrapped shrimp and they were amazing and we also ordered the bacon steak. I guess you would call it. I can't remember the exact name on the menu but it came with a sauce that was awesome. You need to remember this is on a little higher end expensive. The taste of the ambience this service is well worth it for a special occasion and you won't regret it. A side note, it is supposed to be a business casual. We went with shorts, tennis shoes, and a polo shirt for the men. There were others in their dress, similar with a hat ball cap. We were surprised by that. As it said, in some of the notes that they did not except hats may be because it was real slow , as far as business, they did not say anything. But we do recommend this restaurant Bill and Bourbon.

Raymond C.

Yelp
Went here for drinks one week and returned for dinner with friends the next weekend. Had an amazing time both visits. The cocktails are great, but there is something incredibly special about that Coffee Old Fashioned. We ended up getting several of those - which made for a fun night. Their steaks are aged to perfection. I had the Delmonico Ribeye medium rare and it was amazing. Service was outstanding, and our server was incredibly patient with us and our antics. Restaurant is beautiful and ambiance is great. I love this place and would go more often if it was closer to home.

David B.

Yelp
YOOOOOOO!!! This place is deep in the boondocks and even deeper into the casino. I had no idea when I found it on Yelp. I didn't even get a heads up when I called and made reservations. So keep that in mind. The design of the restaurant is incredible, comfortable, spacious but still inviting and intimate. The staff is on point, special shoutout to our waiter Eddie he gave excellent recommendations. He had recommendations for recommendations if we had any issues or concerns. He also put me onto a bourbon I had never heard of but it paired so well with my surf and turf. The fillet was cooked to perfection and so was the 5lb lobster lol. I even liked the menu. Nice, short and to the point. We may have to put the place in our annual travel rotation!

Meryl G.

Yelp
Great service and food! The glaze on the slab of bacon was spot on. The baked potato soup was a meal in itself- was excellent. Lobster portions were more than sufficient, and the Bananas Fosters was tasty, plus they made the ice cream table side. We shall return!

Nora A.

Yelp
The service was incredible & the vibe was amazing!!! We really enjoyed certain food items like the slab bacon, creamed spinach and bananas foster! Definitely try it, but don't expect the best steak of your whole life. It's good, but not great. The rest of the food was delicious though!!

France C.

Yelp
Have dined here 5 times recently. All I can say is it's inconsistent. Have had decent meals & some that should have never left the kitchen. Last night the lobster was wayyy overcooked as was the 5 shrimp cocktail. I bit into each one & all the seafood tasted like eating a mouthful of cotton. They were returned to the kitchen. I will say that the crab cakes were decent as was the baked potato. Previously, the potato was hard & dry. Not sure if it's the chef or the sous chef but, someone needs to bone up on their skills. Sergio is a very competent server as is all the wait staff.

Joanie T.

Yelp
Usually there steakhouses in casinos are ehhhh but this one is actually pretty decent. I go here all the time and they have great time at the restaurant. The quality is always good and consistent. The service is always great and attentive. The food is all very tasty and nothing we got was not worth it. I definitely would go here over and over again. And of course we have recommended this place to so many times to family and friends. FYI - they have a special date night menu on sundays. Check it out!!

MoMo A.

Yelp
Vibes are good. Food presentation great. Food was very good. The only complaint is the waitress read the specials and provided the WRONG price. We ordered the special and it WAS not the price she quoted. 3 out of the 4 people heard her say that price and when the bill came it was more than double what she originally said. When we asked again she changed the price. It was extremely frustrating. :(

Ryan M.

Yelp
While at Sycuan Casino I wondered down some stairs to Bull and Bourbon, a half a floor down the Casino floor located on its own floor with a spa type place. Its a nice large upscale restaurant thats really hidden away from the Casino floor. The prices tell you that its an upscale type of place but there are also more reasonable options like a burger and pasta. We started with an order of Crab Cakes ($22) It came with 2 crab cakes on top of gribiche sauce, which was a sort of elevated tartar sauce. Im not one who usually likes crab cakes, but these were spectacular! Crab cakes are usually made with a lot of filler, these were basically just all crab! I got the 18 oz prime Delmonico ribeye $57. I'm usually not one to go to high end steak houses because i feel like i can just buy a good prime steak and cook it myself almost as good if not just as good, But OMG! now i get it. Probably the most perfectly cooked steak I've eaten, So tender and perfectly medium rare, properly rested. I haven't been to a ton of steak houses but I have been to a few high end ones in San Diego and this was easily the best steak of the bunch. I also ordered the sautéed mushroom ($12) they were very well cooked they had a nice char to them, they weren't rubbery or watery either. For dessert I shared a slice of NY cheese cake, it was a bit steep but its flown directly from NYC from JRs which is very creamy and also a large thick slice. Evidently JRs is a famous NY cheesecake and was voted the #1 cheesecake in the country and i can see why. Its delicious and can easily be shared between 2 people, so it isn't so bad, but you might just want a whole slice to yourself! Service was excellent! Our waitress explained differences in the steaks, told us the details about the cheese cake, checked up on us and refilled waters appropriately. I loved my meal start to finish! I'd order everything again! Bull and Bourbon is a hidden gem tucked away below the casino floor in Sycuan casino. They are not owned by Sycuan, they are a separate restaurant group who run other restaurants in the downtown area like Lion Fish and also run the Elicit lounge in the Casino as well. They do have $55 pre fix menu for 2 every Sunday and $32 surf and turf (6 oz fillet & 5 oz Lob

Rich M.

Yelp
Based on a first impression, I thought our meal was prepared very well given that we went specifically for the Wednesday $32 Surf and Turf deal. This consisted of a 5oz lobster tail and a 6oz Filet mignon. The lobster tail was delicious though it did have a very slight rubbery texture. The filet was fantastic, perfectly seasoned and even had some marbling which filets are not typically known for. So I'm guessing the finer cuts should be even tastier- one would think, and I'll be back to find out! Our server was great- he graciously split our steakhouse wedge salad on 2 separate plates since the lady didn't want blue cheese on her half. No extra charges which is common elsewhere. As much as I wanted to try a bourbon drink or two, I usually separate my eating from my drinking. That just means I'll be paying that bar a visit real soon while the lady works her magic on the slots and she doesn't like company during this time. I let her look for me when she's ready to leave, while I'm watching a game or playing keno. Next up the jumbo lump crab cakes, then the 18oz delmonico ribeye, then the steakhouse burger, then the 22oz T-Bone... Not necessarily in that order!

Michelle P.

Yelp
Friendly and prompt service. The food was amazing with so much flavor! I'm picky about my French Onion soup and this one was so good! Steak perfect and so tender.

Brittany E.

Yelp
Beautiful cozy and romantic spot! We ended up here on vacation during a casino stop and fell in love! It's far on the end near the hotel pool area-but so happy we found it! The food was top notch and my husband and I are steak foodies; which is huge here in Texas. Aged and cooked to a perfect medium rare plus The lobster and lamb chops were even a bigger hit!! The staff was attentive, kind and possessed top quality professionalism from start to finish! Isaiah was one of the best waiters we have ever had while fine dining. Make sure to request him. Awesome is an understatement!!!! Worth every penny and calories.

Michael L.

Yelp
Me and a cousin of mine did the prefixed menu for 55.00 for 2. This meal came with a Cesar salad and a steak, along with crème brûlée for dessert. The steak was amazing! NY strip steak and we got Yukon mashed potato's that were amazing as well. The bread in the beginning came with a butter with chives that tasted really good (must ask for bread). It was worth it for the amount we paid, must try. The ambiance was nice, your typical nice steakhouse and the service was just as great.

Doug H.

Yelp
The filet was great! And the French onion soup was even better. Lobster busk tasted like it came out of a homeless soup kitchen... Service was very slow, forgot our drinks twice and had the pull apart bread was ordered and on the bill but never came. Verify everything with a phone call - they are very slow at updating menus and open/close times on the website and even their app. Bar area gets loud, but dining has a good view of the sunset. Value? Priced like it's Symphony Towers, but your at a casino!! 400 for 4 without a bottle of wine -ouch!!

Liliana D.

Yelp
first off, i want to say i love this restaurant.. from the food to the service. the vibes are wonderful! the lobster pasta was out of this world! the chef really made it with so much knowledge and love, you can tell. i highly recommend you get it, if you're allergic to seafood (i am sorry).. i wish i could have frozen boxes of this but obviously it's impossible because it is freshly made! their mac and cheese and mash potatoes are a must have as well! i wish i could try everything on the new menu but i think i will always order this pasta on the side lol **whoever is in charge please know that i am super sad that the calamari appetizer and the burgers are no longer in the menu. please bring them back, i beg you. thank you!**

Justin C.

Yelp
I wasn't expecting much from a restaurant in a casino in the middle of nowhere but even then... They didn't meet my expectations. I hope I don't sound too harsh. Service is okay but the food was just not good. In short, my food was heavily flavored. Too sweet. Too salty. It smelled like cigarette smoke while I was there... Eh. I was told to make reservations because it gets crazy here. I came on a Sunday night around 8 and it was alright. Maybe half full. Not sure why reservations were necessary. Also. They don't take reservations for one? On open table if you try to make reservations for one person it shows no tables available. Boo to that. Just book for two people. Tried calling but of course they're not open till 5pm on certain days so who's gonna answer the phone? EDIT: seems like it's a common theme that people are told to make reservations... resort staff seem to be instructed to exaggerate about how good the restaurants are... something fishy is going on. Anyways. Server was okay. Seems like she had quite a few tables. Pleasant enough. Seemed more talkative with other tables than me but doesn't really matter. Was trying to ask what the portion size on the steak frites was and if it would be truffle fries but she just assumed I wanted the steak frites. Sure whatever. Saves me money lol. After much debate I ended up just ordering a French onion soup and a steak frites with a Maker's Mark old fashioned to drink. Old fashioned. Extremely sweet and viscous. I don't know anyone who likes drinking syrup and it sure felt like that was what I was doing. The luxardo cherry was a nice touch. Maybe simple syrup would be better than "gomme" syrup. (dude just call it gum syrup.) French onion soup was extremely sweet and extremely salty. Cheese felt a bit rubbery if I didn't dunk it back into the soup. Decided to save it to have with my fries. (Mistake as the fries were super salty as well) Steak frites felt like it took a long time to come out? Pacing of the meal could have been improved for sure. The hanger steak was good. The one thing that they got right at least. The quality was definitely there. Super tender and juicy steak. It didn't really look like a steak... Was kinda just. Ummm. Yeah anyways. Aside from texture it was kinda whatever. There was butter and maybe they had lemon juice on top? But it tasted like... Rancid butter. Yeah.... the fries though. God it was so heckin salty. Idk. I'm not one to waste food so. Idk. But they were crispy, hot, and fresh. If only they used less salt. Two or three stars... Pretty tough decision but reasons for the poor review: Limited hours. Food and drink werent great. Smelled slightly like cigarette smoke inside the restaurant. Poor pacing of meal. (Honestly how am I supposed to bring any of this up without service probably getting annoyed at me)

Yelp
This was my first time coming here for a holiday weekend at Sycuan and I was pleasantly surprised with this place! I came here for a nice date night to start the weekend right and began with the cocktails. Honestly, maybe the best cocktails I have had in a really long time! If you like rum and pineapple with a more "rustic" take, I highly recommend the desert piracy! Delicious and fresh! I am not a fan of martinis, but the one here is apparently really good with stuffed olives that really absorb the flavor of the drink! I think the best food item we got was actually the vegan slider appetizer! It was pretty filling for the both of us and very flavorful and full of texture. The baked potato and wedge salad were also really good as well. The risotto was light and fresh, but it could have used a little more seasoning to really make it pop. Service was good, but a little slow. This is a nice change of pace to just let you focus on the good food and the atmosphere. However, if you are in a rush for a show or other planned events, make sure to allow for a two hour window with your reservation. Overall for the drinks, atmosphere, and selection of food items, I definitely recommend!

Yelp
Was in Singing Hills for four days. Restaurant was closed for three of them. Finally, Thursday came, we arrived and a Closed sign was posted. Knocked on door and someone from the inside yelled at us through the window that they were closed for training. Guess they couldn't train on Monday through Wednesday. Talked to some staff in the casino and they told us we were lucky because the food is not worthy to feed to your dog and the service is horrible. If you are going to be closed put it on your website as a common courtesy to patrons. Would never go there again.

Yelp
Came here for my 30th birthday. The service was excellent, drinks were delicious, has a fine dining vibe to it. My only setback was my lobster was a litter over cooked which was a bummer because I was $100 lobster, came with a steak was cooked perfectly. But the lobster was dry and rubbery.

Yelp
Dined here many times and it has always been a great experience. Perfect end to a day at the pool and a great way to kick off the evening at Sycuan.

Yelp
My husband and I had a lovely and delicious time at Bull & Bourbon! When we made Wednesday reservations, we were already quite excited for the menu - I hadn't realized yet that Wednesdays are for the coveted Surf & Turf combo: filet and lobster! We arrived before our reservation time and there was room for us at the bar, so we enjoyed a round of drinks before our table was ready. We ordered from their House Old Fashioned menu: my husband ordered the Makers Bourbon and I ordered the Bulleit Rye Whiskey. Both drinks were delicious and it was fun tasting the subtle differences between the two liquors. Lots of people around us were ordering the Surf & Turf; meanwhile, we were glad that we made reservations as the dinner crowd was quite busy. For dinner, I (of course) ordered the Surf & Turf, and my husband ordered the Delmonico Ribeye. The proteins are served a la carte, so we ordered a mac & cheese on the side to complete our meal. We shared the crab cake appetizer - great composition & full of crab, but a bit overcooked; likewise, the mac & cheese was a bit bland even after a generous crack of black pepper. That said, the proteins - WOW!! My husband's Ribeye was full of flavor and super tender. The Surf & Turf met the hype for me - perfect medium-rare filet and the 1/2 lobster was amazing! I appreciated that the lobster was pre-cleaned of tomalley and the claw meat was beautifully displayed out of the shell. Overall, we had a wonderful weekday date night at Bull & Bourbon, and I look forward to my next meal here!

Yelp
Food is not worth of what you paid for. The waiter suggested to get Porter House wagyu and it doesn't taste like what he promoted.

Yelp
Wow. Just wow! I took my wife here for dinner as part of our staycation over the weekend. Made a dinner reservation before hand (glad I did cause they were busy!). From the time we walked into the restaurant till the time we left, we had stellar service! The food was absolutely amazing and exactly what we have been craving! Tomi (our server) was an absolute delight. Let's just put it this way- we ended up staying a second day JUST go to back for dinner a second night! We have already made our next reservation when family is in town! Can't wait!!!

Yelp
I originally was looking to check this spot out and grab a steak. Well as things turned out I got a little more than what I was looking for. We ended up here for Thanksgiving due to a last minute cancellation with another party. And I was not disappointed! Got on site and started doing that .... Hmmm? Will this work? Did we make a good decision? We had reservations @2:00, and as we arrived we gasped! @1:50 the sign I. Front of the door said closed! Sixty seconds later a gentleman opened the door and invited us in. We strolled through the restaurant eyeing all the bourbon barrels and photo opportunities keeping an eye on seating. Seating was to our liking and were immediately greeted by our server. Once presented with our menu I was all in! Leather menu cover with a branded logo "Bull and Bourbon Steakhouse" Menu had a limited offering for the holiday, but also included a holiday special. After careful consideration we opted for the Thanksgiving Special. 4 courses with main course of "Domestic Wagyu Roasted Prime Rib" granted I thought I was going steak... . Opted for the salad over soup and the order was submitted. Cocktails arrived ( orange you glad). We sipped and politicked about the ambiance and what we were thankful for. The courses came out like clockwork. The bread was basic, but the bourbon flavored butter was no joke. Sweet, dark, and creamy! Now the next course was.... Interesting? "Fall Medley" Individually these items are run of the mill, but when combined or paired they are orgasmic to the pallet. I'm gonna skip the salad, only because I usually do.. . Not that it was boring or not enjoyable, but because this post is getting long. Main course arrived and was already in getting ready to undo the belt. Pictures only provide a slim understanding of what we were indulging in. Prime rib was spot on and the sides were accompanying to say the least! And what holiday festivity is not complete without dessert??? Oh ya.. I killed it! "Caramel Chocolate Mousse Kiss" The pecan crust was game changing! All that fluff and lightness, then crunch. Meal was worth every penny and I look forward to a return in the immediate future.

Yelp
We were able to sit at the bar immediately (we were going to the Paperback Writer tribute to the Beatles concert) and I must say - awesome! The staff is so attentive & friendly. Amazing as my wife and I observed just how busy they were preparing not only for the restaurant but the bar as well- and they still got our dinner order! My wife and I both agree - the Wedge Salad is fantastic . Besides the salad I ordered the twice baked potato and that was a meal in itself!!! And it was prepared wonderfully Loved my cocktails & Linda there at the bar was wonderful. We will be definitely going back and if we don't go in to the restaurant itself (which we know is great too) the bar area will always be great for us!

Yelp
First time eating here. Didn't have a reservation and I got seated right away. Food was pretty good. I got the $35 surf and turf special that they serve only on Wednesdays. It didn't come with any sides so you had to purchase it separately. I ordered a twice baked potato but they did give me complimentary mashed potatoes. Service was really good too and my server kept checking up on me. I haven't been to Sycuan for a long time and usually go to Valley View because it's closer to my home. I kind of wish it was more like the Black and Blue steakhouse that they have at Valley View though. They had no bread service here and Black and Blue has a prix fix menu that comes with a soup or salad and dessert. I would definitely eat here again though if I came back to Sycuan.

Yelp
Bougie place.. food is just alright. Presentation adds up with the ambiance. Service is utterly great! We tried this place for the first time after watching a concert in the event hall. We're a hungry party of 10 and I would say our host is a very commendable gentleman.

Yelp
We had gone once before when they first opened at which time they were just getting their feet wet. Stayed at the resort over the weekend and made reservations which we were seated right on time which is always a plus. We were taken care of by two exceptional servers. Our waiter, Isaiah was the consummate waiter. Attentive, available, but not hovering. He was personable and very helpful in our menu choices. The food was exceptionable on a par with any Fleming's or Morton's. We enjoyed the Grove at Viejas but now that venue is like eating in an auditorium. Our new allegiance is with the Bull and Bourbon and will request Isaiah as our waiter. Thank you for a great experience!

Yelp
In town for work and enjoying our stay at the casino hotel. Happened to be Wednesday when we stopped in, so we had to go with the surf & turf special. First we ordered drinks, I went with a lemon drop which was made beautifully. My friend ordered the Dirty Bleu's Martini and loved it. The special was just the right amount of both land and sea, it was a 6oz filet and a 5oz lobster tail. The steak was cooked a little under what we requested, but the flavor was amazing. We ordered two shareable sides to go with our meal, the truffle Mac n cheese and the street corn, both really flavorful and seasoned well. One of our favorite parts of the meal was the bread service. Fresh loaf with a sweet honey herb butter.

Yelp
Bull & Bourbon is an upscale dining establishment that we have been looking forward to trying out. We've been to the casino many times, and have eaten at other spots on site, but had put off trying their premiere dining offering until we could come and spend an evening and really get to experience the restaurant. To say that it is a disappointment is an understatement. First off, it is absurdly expensive for what you receive. An 18oz. ribeye is $57 and that includes absolutely nothing but one small cherry tomato on the plate. The steak was on the thin side, but was properly cooked and seasoned. My companion had the fillet mignon, again properly seasoned and cooked to order. The criticism is not with the meat, which was good enough, but it was not backed up with presentation, service, or ambience to accompany the steaks. We were compelled to order side orders of mushrooms ($12) which were delicious, and whipped potatoes ($7) which were OK. Bread with a sweetened herb butter was served as we were seated. For these high-end prices, one would expect high-end ambiance and service. Bull & Bourbon has neither. The restaurant is very loud and the decor is nothing special. The service was what you would expect at an Olive Garden - certainly not an "upscale steakhouse". Waiters leaned over guests to serve entrees, orders were missed, plates were cleared haphazardly, silverware improperly positioned, and if to add even more absurdity to the experience, a "waiter" loudly played hand drums on the pick-up counter while waiting for his order to come up. As if it wasn't loud enough as it was! The restaurant suffers from poor management, training, and supervision. Save your money and avoid this awkward attempt to emulate a high-end steakhouse. Del Frisco's or Ruth's Chris are both much better experiences - in all facets.

Yelp
Really amazing food, their apps and sides are supreme. I have always enjoyed coming here. I have noticed a lot of inconsistency however, with service and even portions on food. We went there last night, and the Cesear salad was relatively small compared to last time, inversely the mac and cheese was a huge portion (not that im really complaining about more mac)! btw the mac and cheese is the best one on the planet. They have great cocktails as well! I just wish to see more consistency with service, staff is usually pretty on point. But I do expect more from a higher echelon restaurant.

Yelp
Every time I come here the food seems to get EVEN better! The New York strip was perfect. But it was the lobster Mac and cheese that had me eating more than I should have! I couldn't stop! Service was on point and the ambiance was amazing. I've come here for special occasions and will continue to do so!

Yelp
We were invited her to celebrate a friend's birthday. For a drink we had the desert piracy, which had a light banana taste to it. I had the dealer bust which was a blueberry taste, both delicious drinks. For appetizers we had the crab cakes. Breaded outside flakey inside a little overcooked but still good. For sides we had the Mexican street corn, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts and truffle Mac & cheese, all good choices. For steak there was a New York dry aged special and i had the 18 oz Delmonico Ribeye. All steaks were perfectly cooked to medium and flavorful. The staff was friendly, but service was slow and they weren't busy. The restaurant was very clean.

Yelp
Nicest restaurant on property. Great food. Good service. Great place to bring a group or crowd. Have to go for the Porterhouse or Rib Eye steaks.
