"No Bull in Denver It's a bright, sunny Sunday morning in Denver. We're too relaxed to pack the car to head into the mountains. We don't much feel like heading out on the bikes. The Broncos, Rockies, Nuggets, and Avalanche are all out of town. So what do we do? We head down to the Bull & Bush for some beer – and a side of breakfast. Bull & Bush is a local favorite that few outsiders know about, according to our hostess (When I hear things like this, I tend to believe it for as long as possible, so not to upset the delicate balance of travel mystery). I set upon perhaps the best eggs Benedict I have ever had, and wash them down with a hearty stout and a punchy IPA. It is the best breakfast I can remember having in a long, long time."

Denver’s Essential Restaurant Fireplaces - Eater Denver

"This 47-year-old restaurant and brewery is still worth the trip for a proper pub night in the suburbs. The beers are still great (the brewery itself opened in 1997), and the couch-facing fireplace is still a fixture throughout the winter." - Gigi Sukin, Josie Sexton

Very neat atmosphere! You have so many different options to pick from. Jacqueline was wonderful. The Blue Burger was the special. I truly think this was the best bacon cheeseburger in Denver!!! (I added bacon). We had a fabulous time and it is a new favorite for me.

Google
If you want that Old English Pub charm and all the amazing pub food with a Colorado twist, this is your place. Amazing place for brews as they make their own as well. The Colorado Green chili is the good stuff. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, and the staff was attentive and friendly.

Google
Hands down the best place to eat in Denver!!! Had the most amazing dinner. Portions are huge, so had to take dessert home! Service was outstanding, Luke took care of me and recommended their GREAT selection of house made brews! If you're in Denver (and hungry) GO HERE!!!

Google
This is a very crowded local pub on a Saturday afternoon. There is a varied menu; I went with the fish & chips and am glad I did. The fish was a very good cod breaded and fried. It comes with cole slaw and fries and optionally malt vinegar. Both were good. This was a lot of food for lunch, but definitely worth it. As crowded as it was, I got a table right away and the server was prompt and personable. The space is dark and very loud which is expected in a busy pub. There are TVs showing sports and Wi-Fi is available. Parking is available in the lot and on street, but you may be some distance away.

Google
FANTASTIC Place! The food is excellent! If you are looking for a dim-lit, cozy place with amazing comfort food- THIS IS IT. I have been a few times and I am absolutely obsessed! Highly recommend their Prime Rib, French dip Sandwich or French Onion Soup- Definitely best in class.

Love chicken fried chicken! Must get it with gravy and the chili!! The lager beers and bloody Mary’s are delicious! Make sure you add a pickle and bacon!

Google
Place was phenomenal! Recommended by employee from the Hyatt. Prime rib was outstanding, and the bartender recommended green Chile topping for my potatoes, with pork! 10 outta 10! I come to denver alot, and will be back. Great ambiance too

Google
Great beer, really nice staff, below average food. I've been here a few times over the past year and many many times over the past 20 or so, and after lunch today I don't really see any good reason to go back. I came specifically for chicken fried steak and the one I got was hammered to death in old grease, under seasoned and you couldn't even get a knife through it. The mashed potatoes tasted like they came out of the box, also without any seasoning. I've been here for fish n chips and had a similar critique about under seasoned food cooked in old grease. The 3 stars is for the great beer and nice staff. I would only ever come here to drink going forward.

Yelp
Old school great atmosphere and food Absolutely loved everything hope to get back sometime

Yelp
I've loved coming here for years, decades even. The food is always amazing at worst, the staff is consistently great, the drinks are perfect every time, and the atmosphere isis unbeatable. Cozy, warm, inviting, friendly, relaxing. I could throw out another couple dozen positive superlatives, they'd all be relevant. I always look forward to grabbing a drink or a meal, or usually both, here. Especially prime rib night. It's fantastic every single time.

Yelp
Great service, great local brew, and incredible food. Plus the ambience is just cool as hell in there. Like a cross between a hunting lodge and a German beer hall. Hahah

Yelp
Busy Casual Such a cool vibe here. Feels very busy and happening, but somehow very chill, too. Wonderful food and drink menu. You'll find some nice stout selections. Excellent spot!

Yelp
Good food with a very busy atmosphere that is decorated like an English Pub. Food was good as was service and establishment was clean. A good place to eat when in Cherry Creek.

Yelp
This is like stepping back into time. The cozy main bar area with ample seating and fireplace is the perfect spot to sample some of their outrageously delicious beers, and one of the best hamburgers in town. Our fave neighborhood spot!! I definitely prefer sitting inside the main building versus outside, but either way food is always great so are the drinks and the staff.
google avatar

Patrick S.

Yelp
It's all about atmosphere here. Lots of seating options from the dark and cozy bar to the big ass tent that popped up in the parking lot to accommodate big groups like ours. We had 15+ people and once at least half our group was on site they sat us. We waited in the bar and just chilled which was fine although very busy at 7:30pm on a Saturday night. We had the street tacos and almond chicken Fingers with tots. I love tots. These were tricky and salty and a huge portion. It was perfect. Other dishes at the table seemed above par bar food but not high brow. Salads. Burgers. Chicken tenders and pizza were popular. Everyone seemed satisfied. Wait staff was on point. Food and drinks came quick and our group was well served. A drink and food was about $30pp out the door. Not cheap but not as expenses I expected. Make reservations. Go hungry and don't be in a rush.

Yelp
Been reading great reviews on this place and finally decided to try it. The place looks dark when you first walk in but they have tent seating and a covered patio to the right that has much more light than the bar area. I was ecstatic they had potato skins as not many people do anymore and they were good. The waitress said they do their thousand islands in house for Reuben so I got that. Unfortunately it just didn't have that nice thousand island sweet and zingy for me. The bottom part of sandwich was soggy and the whole thing was a mess. I only ate half and didn't love the sweet potato fries (def some pre frozen from a bag). My friend got the fish and chips and for a pub like place just wasn't amazed. Overall just ok, maybe nice for apps and beers place.
google avatar

Christopher H.

Yelp
Alright the people in my office love this place. I think it's the patio. Do let's get into it shall we. It is a lot larger than it looks from the outside. Nested away in Cherry Creek/Glendale area it looks small but you'll be surprised. We alway go for work and typically sit on the patio. We're a large group and go when everyone travels in from far and wide. God bless the service staff who have to wait on us. They're saints. We move around, chat, and overall a respectful jovial group. Let's talk food and drinks. Drinks are strong and good. They really make a nice cocktail. 10/10 recommendations for the bar. The food is where they lose me. I didn't know British food could get blander. But it does. I stick to basics here. It's actually why I don't enjoy coming here. I'm less of a lush so I like good food. I get apps and leave. So go for it and just take it for what it is.

Jeannie N.

Yelp
Definitely recommend. We picked up. Service great. Food delicious! We were in from out of town.

Yelp
Really great restaurant and great service. I'd passed the place many times but never visited. Turns out I was missing a great restaurant! I ordered the French onion soup and it was one of the best I've ever had. My friend had the shrimp fajitas (it wad Monday - special was fajitas) and he loved it. Had a bite of the bangers and mash dish - great as well, the green chili sauce on the mashed potatoes was great. Our server was outstanding. The only thing I would suggest is lower prices on the beer flights. Those prices were very expensive.
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
Food and service amazing!!!! Can't wait to return. Bartender Danielle was so nice and helpful. We were from outta town and are so glad we went there. A+++
google avatar

Kimber H.

Yelp
What a classic place. I've been going here for 15 years and it never disappoints. We ordered a mimosa, ale, and the pride French dip with jalapeño fries. The au jus that came with it was perfect. Did you know there desserts are all locally made? We usually order the apple crisp, but the sandwich filled us up.

Yelp
Bull & Bush is for the people. It stands there tall and proud, honoring tradition, and serving the community since 1971. The British-style pub is a piece of Glendale history still churning out Denver's finest. From the minute you walk in you feel at home. It's cozy, low lit, I just adore places like this. Rumor has it the owners brought back artifacts and memorabilia from the original Bull & Bush pub in England, which they modeled this Bull & Bush after. The vibes here are immaculate. They'll do you one better. The food and service are simply top notch. If you sit at the bar on a busy night, they'll fill your water, check on you and treat you like a million bucks. And what a fun bar to sit at, with steins hanging above and locals chatting about things that only happen at watering holes like this. The food, oh the food. It's awesome. A massive pub menu filled with English classics, American staples, and Colorado favorites. They have specials every night of the week, however if you're fortunate enough to be here on Prime Rib Night (Tues/Thurs/Sat), don't doubt ordering it for a second. It's juicy and tender, you won't be able to put the fork down. Other must orders are the French Onion Soup, especially during the cold winter months. I've also had the nachos, which are far and away superior to most bar nachos you'll ever have. And most recently, I finally tried the wings (you know I'm a wing eating fool) and these are some of the best in town. Big, meaty wings with a nice buffalo sauce. Pair it with one of their beers (like the Amber) and you'll be in pub nirvana. Also. Who knew mashed potatoes and pork green chile accompanied each other so well? Bull & Bush knows, and they've been serving it like hot cakes since 1971. This is one of those places I wish I went to more frequently. Hopefully by writing this review I'll be reminded to do so. A Denver landmark that is still peaking after all this time!

Yelp
This pub has it all. Great, friendly service. Unbeatable value for spirits and beer. Top quality food. Whimsical authenticity in ambience. And family-friendly. The month of December is not to be missed with their advent whiskey and beer event. You don't have to commit to an expensive calendar, just come here every day of December for generous pours. Okay so the food is a little pricey, but that's just the reality of today at all food establishments. You get the high quality food that you pay for. Fish and chips, burgers, sandwiches, mac and cheese, chicken... all top notch. As for the drinks, this establishment does a phenomenal job with offering the best of the best and everyday staples. Want to try BTAC without losing an arm and a leg? Come to bull and bush.

Yelp
Whoa Nellie! Beer lovers paradise- we came on a Thursday evening, this cherry creek neighborhood pub was hopping. We have not visited here before, on walking through the main dining room it has a bit of carpet hard woods and brass rails separating some booths along the wall and tables on the floor. We got taken out to a covered and enclosed patio area that was warm, however it was noticeably louder and cooler than the main areas. Lots of hard surfaces. There is a a great selection of beer and cocktails. They have plenty to choose from and we drank two beers from their own selection. We ate a burger ( my husband) and I ate prime sandwich with a bowl of nana's French onion to dip into!! On recommendation from our server James. Larger portions of good food and paired well with the beer. Overall a great time and we will come back for another round. Thanks
google avatar

Yelp
Great beer, terrible green chili, wow, how could you miss colorado green chili that bad. Take the beer to go and eat anywhere else.

Lawren G.

Yelp
As a local take on a British style pub this place has mastered the perfect ambiance. It was comfortable and well decorated, conveying the British vibe without being tacky. Trying out some of the "unicorn whiskeys" from the extensive whiskey menu alone is worth the visit but the food shouldn't be overlooked. The French onion soup is hands down one of the best renditions of this classic item, its rich but not heavy and greasy. However, the apple crisp was a bit disappointing, the "crisp" was buried beneath ice cream which made it soggy and the apples were underwhelming but nicely cooked. We will definitely be visiting again the next time we're in town.

Yelp
Excellent prime rib! English/Irish tavern ambience. Our server was very attentive and answered our questions.

Yelp
What a cool spot! This brewery is clearly popular in the area I stayed for a work trip. It's a local brewery with an English pub feel. The space was big! We loved the food we ordered and the beers were very interesting. I tried a green hatch and peach beer which was surprisingly very delicious! Our waiter was extremely nice, although the service was a bit slow, but that's because they were busy! I can't wait to come back to Denver and bring my husband, he would love it.
google avatar

Casey P.

Yelp
Wow, this place really nails it. First off, the ambiance is impressive - I lived in England for years and can confirm this pub is designed accurately and looks like an upscale pub. A little cleaner and less sticky than your average London pub... Food was great, fish and chips were spot on. The whisky selection here is absolutely next level, I'm a scotch fanatic and bull and bush did not disappoint. I've heard their beer is great but haven't tried it. Really cool place, a must visit!

Yelp
It is dark. it is old. Lots of dark wood and a very lengthy bar. It is very British. What do you have? A British Pub. It includes a Brewery. It is spread out. It is a lot of rooms that are not neatly joined together. It has an outdoor tent, which is part of the seating. It's specialty, prime rib, and draft beer that is produced in- house. The prime rib is outstanding and prepared to your desired temperature. The price is moderate when compared to the price of restaurants that also serve prime rib. With the prime rib comes a huge baked potato. What is missing is Yorkshire pudding. Tis a shame old chap! The draft beers? Very nice. I like the light colored house lager. The service is very good. The servers, in general, seem to like the job, and are cheerful. One of the servers' had a slight British accent, and I learned he held a dual citizenship from the US and Great Britain. Now that's authentic. Cheerio chum.

Yelp
I found this place because it was one of the few sports bars within walking distance of my hotel. I ended up being pleasantly surprised by the rustic feel and decor of this English styled pub. There were TVs all over the place so it was perfect to watch Thursday night football while eating dinner and having a few beers. I liked the atmosphere of the indoor seating more than what was available outdoors. There is a lot of space outside but it's basically just a tent set up in the parking lot. I almost sat out there but would have ended up next to a mister, which isn't ideal for eating (or keeping your food warm). Inside was the better move. The food was typical of what you'd expect from a bar / pub. They won't be winning a Michelin star anytime soon, but it gets the job done. If you're in the mood for snacking while watching some games, definitely get the queso! As for entrees, I got the pulled pork sandwich but probably wouldn't get it again because he meat was a bit dryer than I would have liked. However, it's a large menu so I'm sure there are plenty of hidden gems on there!

Yelp
I have been frequenting this establishment for the last 25+ years. It is a true pub atmosphere (laid back), love the ambiance of the main dining room. Great pub food (traditional and non), have never had a bad meal here. Great selection of ales, beers and porters (house brewed and guest selections ) but their house brewed Stonehenge Stout is my favorite. Also the whiskey, bourbon and Scotch offerings are on par with excellent top shelf selections. (Great house Old Fashioned). Great daily specials and happy hours too! Busy place but worth it

Yelp
Bull and Bush never disappoints. The drinks are refreshing and options you don't see everywhere. Service is great and done with a smile. My server even remembered my name and used it frequently through the night. Even though I was there for a long time on my last visit, there was no rush to move me out or to move the table. Highly recommend. Can't wait for the summer time because the patio is so amazing. Everybody is friendly.

Layne M.

Yelp
WOW. Stumbled in here with some friends. Unreal. Can't believe we didn't know this was in Denver. Vibes in here were so neat and authentic. Great service. Amazing beers. Incredible food! The French onion soup was absolutely insane!!! Might be the best I've best. Super fun to watch playoffs too. Do yourself a favor, and stop by!
google avatar

Yelp
This is more of a restaurant than a brewery. It was my last stop on a night of brewery hopping so I only got a beer. I got the Lemon Berry Farmhouse. It tasted good. I enjoyed it. It was pretty lovely in the taproom. Good service. Didn't have any food.

Jill P.

Yelp
Best French Onion Soup of my life! (& I once went on a French onion soup tour of Paris.... This was better! Soup Nazi level good!) Service is very attentive! Drinks were delicious! It was my first time visiting today- I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Our go to pub! We live across the street and walk there at least once a week. The ambience is perfect & it's very cozy in there. Great service and good food.

Yelp
Want great service??? Paloma is our FAVORITE - ask for her. She is always attentive, personable and knows what this place has to offer when it comes to drinks. Thanks for a great time, Paloma!
google avatar

Yelp
The inside seating is very dark. So we asked to sit outside, but the high top tables are very small. We would ask for a low table next time. The football game tv are in great viewing locations. The breakfast was ok with my wife having a benedict that was not runny and I had the Cure again not runny eggs. Our Server was friendly and even brought out a few beer samples before we had a chance to look over menu. The beer was marginal. The Merch is hilarious and we had to get a t-shirt for our collection.

Delia S.

Yelp
Thanks fellow Yelpers for leading me to this place. I went with some friends on a rainy night in Aurora and the comfort food was just what we wanted. The bangers and mash was good, although the mashed potatoes were a bit under seasoned. The chicken fried steak was delicious and my old fashioned was on point! Service was friendly and accommodating and who knew an English pub would have good queso! Check it out!

Yelp
Good food and drinks, fast service. Nice local spot. We like to explore the Whisky menu.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with some friends on a Friday night. We arrived just before 6pm and the parking lot was full but, if you drive up the street/do a couple circles, you can find something that's not too far/a quick walk. We were able to get a table pretty quickly as we arrive right before the rush of people we saw fill the tables and bar around our table. The server let us get settled and answered some questions about the menu as we were all first time diners. I order the chicken fried chicken with no gravy and instead of mash potatoes, I requested fries... which I was told was not a problem at all for the modifications. When the food came out, the food runner put my meal in front of me which was smothered in gravy. I kindly, told the gal I requested no gravy on my meal to which she pulled the plate quickly (seemed annoyed) and a large collection of fries fell off the plate and without a beat, her bare hands picked them off the table and put them back on the plate she took away. I wouldn't have thought twice about using her hands on my returned plate however, in a about 5 minutes my "new" non-smothered chicken fried chicken came out (from a different food runner). I took one bite and it was a bit mushy ... I flipped over the chicken to see gravy covering the bottom/pouring out of the crevices-- they "wiped" off the gravy and flipped the chicken over and return it back to me. I can't even begin to say how wrong this is-- what if I were to have an allergy to something in the gravy... regardless, the fact that the kitchen would allow something like that to go out to customer-- no pride & extremely disappointing. The server eventually made his way over where I explained what had happened-- he quickly picked up the plate and was gone within seconds. Another server/food runner brought out a whole new one but, after one bite, I just lost my appetite-- just thinking about the girls hand all over the fries & the kitchen clearly being upset with the request who knows where & what was on this food. It was hard to enjoy the food and the experience. Also, the server never apologized for the mistake nor checked to see if everything was ok post the issue, he just presented the bill once he noticed our food was just sitting there. ($19 for that disappointing dish) I have worked and paid my dues in the service industry and totally get it/am understanding of the hustle and bustle that goes into the daily responsibilities and the ball was totally dropped-- for both the front & the back of the house (the amount of people involved in this one situation and no one seemed to care/see anything wrong with this). I was extremely kind and patient, not rushing anyone-- saying more than a few times: Not a problem. I don't mind waiting. & Thank you. With an experience like this, I don't recommended this place. Quite disappointing.

Yelp
I first came across this amazing place on a business trip to Denver! I've come back each and every trip. Hands down the best hamburger I've ever had. The bartenders were great. My favorite aspect was the patrons at the bar as they all spoke with everyone around them as if we went back years!
google avatar

Phillip B.

Yelp
I used to come here back in the day when I first moved to Denver area. and really enjoyed the clientele, food and the staff. I stopped by for some drinks the other night and had fun like I used to sitting at the bar and chatting it up with the other customers and bar staff. The place is very laid back and joyful.

Yelp
Dinner at the Bar. Excellent service. Crispy Chicken Salad was very good and it's accompanying side toast was toasted just right - not too soft, not particleboard, either. It was a busy Sunday evening, so a somewhat lively ambience and atmosphere.
google avatar

Yelp
We love to ride our bikes here when the weather permits. Prime rib is good and great beer selection too. You won't regret trying it
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food!! Ordered the chicken fired streak, sweet potato fries and chips and salsa. Absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and prompt! The location itself was great, very accessible and had a great pub feeling to it.
google avatar

Chloe L.

Yelp
Great spot overall. Atmosphere: 5 stars Beer: 5 stars Food: 4 stars - food is very good but not great. Traditional bar food with some British dishes mixed in. The British dishes I've found to all be awesome and the best options. The american dishes like the burgers I think are just alright. The pork tenderloin is pretty good and HUGE. So if you want 2-3 meals, go with that. Fish and chips are not your usual beer battered fish and chips. I prefer the traditional style but my husband likes how Bill & Bush does them.
google avatar

Karl H.

Yelp
Not easy to say anymore for most other places, consistently good! You always get good service and good food, the Bull & Bush doesn't seem to ever disappoint. You get the value you pay for here. Hopefully you get the same experience. Stay safe

Yelp
Horrible wait staff, guy with kits of tattoos. The have had him before and he was frat. This visit he was aggressive and had no customers service skills . we were waiving his l get attention and he came over and narrated us for not saying something then acted put out by our order. when called out fir being rude, became aggressive. Totally ruined my experience and opinion of this establishment. Used to come multiple times a wereerk, changing my neighborhood spot.

Yelp
Fun unique place! Packed in St Patty's But worth the experience. Corn beef on point.

Yelp
Way better than your average bar. Great service, great beer. The food was well above the competition...enough so that my crew went there 2 days in a row. We travel around the country for work, so we try a lot of new places...if I go somewhere twice in a row then they earned it!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I tried this place when we were in the area and would definitely return! We didn't have drinks but I think it would be a fun spot to come to with a couple of friends during Happy Hour. We had the Thai Chili Shrimp that came on a bed of shredded cabbage, and it was delicious! Definitely a good portion size and the perfect amount of sauce. The other dish we had was the Reuben sandwich with jalapeño tots and it didn't disappoint either. Be prepared for a juicy sandwich if you order that one! So good.
google avatar

Mic J.

Yelp
We had sandwiches, the Bull and Bush Classic, and the Iowa State Fair. Both were excellent, fries were hot, crispy outside. Atmosphere was good. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Great place to grab drinks and a late night bite. The service was amazing and they have a huge selection of drinks to choose from. My family and I always have to stop by when we are in town!

Yelp
Like stepping into a pub in England - this place has a fantastic ambiance. The drink selection is unmatched. We ordered the bulls pride, French onion soup and the green chili. Everything exceeded our expectations. The green chili was one of our all time favorites. We will be back.

Yelp
We love the ambiance here! Such a cool pub. Every food and beer I've had here was excellent. Tonight we did happy hour and I can't recommend the cheese fries more! The green Chili on them is delicious! Our service was excellent tonight too.
