Bull & Bush is for the people. It stands there tall and proud, honoring tradition, and serving the community since 1971. The British-style pub is a piece of Glendale history still churning out Denver's finest.
From the minute you walk in you feel at home. It's cozy, low lit, I just adore places like this. Rumor has it the owners brought back artifacts and memorabilia from the original Bull & Bush pub in England, which they modeled this Bull & Bush after. The vibes here are immaculate.
They'll do you one better. The food and service are simply top notch. If you sit at the bar on a busy night, they'll fill your water, check on you and treat you like a million bucks. And what a fun bar to sit at, with steins hanging above and locals chatting about things that only happen at watering holes like this.
The food, oh the food. It's awesome. A massive pub menu filled with English classics, American staples, and Colorado favorites. They have specials every night of the week, however if you're fortunate enough to be here on Prime Rib Night (Tues/Thurs/Sat), don't doubt ordering it for a second. It's juicy and tender, you won't be able to put the fork down.
Other must orders are the French Onion Soup, especially during the cold winter months. I've also had the nachos, which are far and away superior to most bar nachos you'll ever have. And most recently, I finally tried the wings (you know I'm a wing eating fool) and these are some of the best in town. Big, meaty wings with a nice buffalo sauce. Pair it with one of their beers (like the Amber) and you'll be in pub nirvana.
Also. Who knew mashed potatoes and pork green chile accompanied each other so well? Bull & Bush knows, and they've been serving it like hot cakes since 1971.
This is one of those places I wish I went to more frequently. Hopefully by writing this review I'll be reminded to do so. A Denver landmark that is still peaking after all this time!
