I got the over easy burger and it was excellent. The ingredients tasted fresh and it was well cooked and seasoned. The fries were okay, nothing special but not enough to deter the meal. They have a very tasty house hot sauce that I'd reccomend. I'd reccomend this restaurant if you like burgers. I'd say pricy but worth it. I'll have to come back for the secret burger sometime. Cool concept.

Google
Bull City Burger and Brewery is one of those places where you walk in and instantly know the food’s gonna be good. The burgers? Incredible. I had the peach raspberry sour beer and it was super refreshing, perfectly tart and fruity. Chill vibe, friendly staff—definitely worth a stop in Durham!

Google
Had an awesome bite sitting at the bar. I had an impossible choice for what to eat, but I had to try the bison dog with exotic meat month. The fries were perfect and paired well with the dog and an IPA. I'd definitely come back!

Google
Really delicious food! It seems like they have frequent specials and creative items on the regular menu as well. We had the biscuit burger- a special for a music festival down the street- and it was delightful along with the pimento kale dip. Can’t wait to return!

Google
I was sold on this place when I saw photos of fresh cut fries in the listing. That’s a sign to me that this place makes everything fresh. It did not disappoint. The fries were crispy & delicious. The burger was a good size and cooked perfectly. I wasn’t sure what to get for dessert, so I asked Emily, from the front of the house staff for her recommendation. She recommended the chocolate peanut butter cake and WOW…🤤 It was fresh, moist, and thankfully I couldn’t finish it so I’ll have some more later tonight. Lastly, big shoutout to Emily for her warmth and kindness. Places like this you tend to be rushed to order, and Emily was awesome 👏 10/10, no notes. I’ll be back when I visit Durham again.

Google
I had the Classic burger and fries. The burger was huge, close to half pound, was cooked based on my order. The fries, hand-cut, were cooked very well. We then had the Lemon Pound Cake. It wasn't as impressive, but ok. I would recommend this restaurant for food.

Google
I loved the duck fries and the fried pickles were good. The pimento cheese burger was just okay at best. Daughter liked her hotdog. Kids eat free Mondays so that is a plus.

Rob S.

Yelp
It was okay, but not great. Service was slow and the food, eh. The drinks and beer were good.

Yelp
Great experience and fantastic food! You order at the counter, tons of great choices including bunless on top of fries! Great vibe and huge bar plus plenty of table seating. Service was friendly! Great overall, including $5 beer special. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
This was an interesting little burger joint. The bread for the buns was good and the burgers had a great taste. Just for the size of the burger I was a bit disappointed. My burger came out with one singular piece of lettuce on it. Tomatoes were "out of season" so they weren't offered, and my husband's bacon was odd and he took it off and didn't eat it. We shared fries and had water because they don't have any name brand sodas or drinks. Only local drinks and sodas. The fries were great, we ate every one. For two burgers, shared fries, and two waters it was over $40.

Yelp
We came to bull city burger for dinner during triangle restaurant week. My partner got the dinner special and I got a build your own burger. Everything we tried was delicious and fresh. The staff was very friendly and the place was very cute. We really like the decor and feel of the place. This will become one of those spots we visit frequently.

Yelp
Love this spot! The burgers are very good! The atmosphere is chill. If you want a good burger and fries, come here! You can get the burger however you want. You can also get a burger bowl! I can eat a plate full of their fries! Great flavor, had a nice crisp on the outside but soft on the inside. I will be back!

Yelp
Small brew pub with phenomenal burgers and draft beer. Got there early prior to a DPAC event and by the time 6 pm rolled around, it was packed. The staff are all very polite and welcoming and we will definitely go back. Well done BCBB!!

Yelp
We stopped by for lunch during a road trip to Durham. The ambiance of the restaurant was excellent - some local items, good lighting, and a kids area with some toys for "future beer drinkers". We each got a drink (a cider and a sour), both were good - definitely cold and both came with a clean glass. The drink machine was really cool - lots of unique flavor options for sodas. We got the pimento burger and over easy burger. The meat was excellent quality. The toppings were missing a zing for each - like a sauce or a sharp flavor to pull it all together. Also, the pickles were X-Large and really difficult to eat on the pimento burger. The servers all seemed very friendly. Though we ordered at the counter, the person who took our order checked on us multiple times during our meal. I saw a server behind the bar helping an indecisive woman pick a beer on tap to try. All over, meal was good, ambiance and service were great, but probably trying something else next time I go.

Yelp
We came here for lunch on Friday, to kick off the Bull City Beer Challenge. It wasn't busy at all but we decided to sit at the bar. The bartender swiftly greeted us and provided us with drink and food menus. She then brought us water and took our order. My husband ordered the pimento burger and Change in Plans IPA. I got the regular burger, added cheddar, duck frites to share and a 3 count flight. Our burgers were pretty good...you could definitely tell that the beef was FRESH and they were cooked perfectly. A little inconsistently seasoned but overall solid. The big winner here is the duck frites. Amazing! Would come back just for those yummy things. My husband really liked his IPA and I really enjoyed the diversity of my flight! I got a blueberry Weiss (delightful but smelled better than it tasted), Hot Pepper Pale Ale, (not as spicy as I thought it would be), and a Baldwin Baltic Porter (this was my favorite!) It was a lovely time for us...in addition to the duck frites, I would say that the outstanding service (really enjoyed talking to the bartender and who I assume was the manager), and the varied beer selection make this establishment that you definitely want to visit!

Yelp
I will not be supporting this restaurant moving forward. I called to place my pick up order with an inpatient worker named David, who says he's the manager. I have been getting a free birthday burger for the past 3-5 years without any issues. When I arrived he said that I have a charge when my burger is supposed to be free. He said that there's a limit on toppings which is not in the email at all. He didn't mention about me being charged for my birthday gift. I'm disappointed that he had no sympathy and didn't offer to give me my money back. How is the burger free if I have to pay? I took a seat in my car to review the email and I was absolutely correct. So I was falsely charged I shouldn't have paid at all. For a second I believed him but once I read the email, I knew I was bambozled. On top of me going in twice. He said sorry that you're upset. It's not that I'm upset. It's that I was lied to and that he took no ownership.

Yelp
Bull City was a great spot to grab some brews and bar food. I sat at the bar and had great service, with friendly bartenders. While I only got an appetizer, all the food options sounded tasty! The beers were unique and very flavorful.

Yelp
Pimento burger was soooooooo good!!!!!!! The pickles on this thing is insane. Sweet potato fries were very sweet (literal sugar granules all over the top). The classic burger was fine, but the bacon and bleu burger was also delish. Very fun ambiance!
google avatar

Yelp
Friendly and quick service. Can order at the bar or via QR code. Decent variety of beers on tap, but not all are available in taster or flights. Expansive menu with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. The frites were great...we love shoe string fries The pickle beer was great! Less in your face than other pickle beers we've tried. The vibe here is very chill and friendly. I come from DC so not used to the super kind, polite and patient service. I highly recommend!

Yelp
I came to this restaurant with a large group from my work. We sat at some tables outdoors on the very back we were a group of around 20 people I had the veggie burger with bacon marmalade Gruyere cheese and caramelized onions. I also had a side of sweet potato fries. The combination that I ordered for the veggie burger was very good. I also enjoyed the sweet potato fries which were sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar. I tried one of their stout beers and also the freshly squeezed lemonade. The lemonade was delicious! Overall I enjoyed the meal and I would recommend this place for groups. Parking was not very easy so we ended up going to a paid parking lot.
google avatar

Raquel B.

Yelp
The burger was fine, but nothing special for the price compared to other burgers in the area. The ambiance is outdoor picnic table style and the folks that work there are plenty nice. I asked for a different sauce on my burger and was told that wasn't possible, which seems silly when you're paying over $20 for a burger, fries, and a soda before tip.

Yelp
I was visiting Durham for a day and decided to check Bull City out. My experience: I was not disappointed at all! This place is awesome. The service is good, vibe is super cool and fun and the hamburgers are amazing! It is centrally located with plenty of street and parking around. There menu has quite a few burger options and many beers to choose from. I came for lunch and had the Bacon, Blue, and BBQ burger with the tres leches dessert. The dessert was OK, but the hamburger was delicious! I mean DEICIOUS! I am definitely coming back to try out some of the other burgers and some beers!

Yelp
Another visit, and another great experience. It wasn't as hot today, so we sat on the patio, and had an equally enjoyable experience. The quart of fries was way bigger than I was expecting, and once again everything was delicious.

Yelp
Don't go here if you want your drink with your dinner . Food was ok but had to ask twice about our drinks and they came after we finished. We were told he's making them as we watched him do beer after beer. Too bad I have to give this place one star
google avatar

Lindsay K.

Yelp
We love this spot for a reliable, quick and yummy burger. You order at the counter so there's sometimes a line, but everyone is always very nice. The fries are crispy and well seasoned and they have a lot of burger choices! Don't forget to try their lemonade, it's also amazing!
google avatar

Erik S.

Yelp
The beer and the service are OK. The mold spot on ceiling above bar made me not want to order food. The beer selection wasn't my jam. I did like the organic aspect and layout. The 3.8 makes sense because I'm giving it a picky 3 stars.

Yelp
Great experience for a first timer! Food: ordered the Dr. Shadoe burger/ pink (added lettuce). It was as a good size and great flavor though the pattie itself was not very flavorful but with the chimichurri sauce it was not necessary. The sauce was on point. Ordered the fried pickles as my side and they did not dissapoint. Very crispy and loved the sauce on the side. Was not impressed with the texture and flavor of the fries. Service: received great suggestions from one of the employees on vegetarian options and on drinks recommendations at the counter. Most the the experience is self service though. You order at the counter, take a number, get your own water and they bring out your food when it's ready. If you want something else you go back to the counter. Ambiance: there is a spacious twinkle lit outside patio bench seating. The inside decor was welcoming and appealing with additional bar seating, bench seating, quad tables and window high top seating. You seat yourself where you want. Overall great experience and wilI come back.

Yelp
Ventured out to Durham for a comedy show and found this gem downtown. Amazing bar and food counter service. Everything eaten was delicious. Of course I got and old fashioned and decided on the classic burger. I added bacon marmalade and cheddar cheese and opted for the lettuce wrap. The house made pickles and mayo were choice.

Yelp
Taste of Carolina - Durham Food Tour - 23 Dec 2023 Wow, Taste of Carolina really delivered some excellent bites in Durham today. Our agenda today included stops at: Toasted, Boricua Soul, Queeny's, Bull City Burger, sweets by Shayda. All restaurants did an excellent job. There were six in our party. Here are my individual notes. Toasted - Toasted has been thriving in Durham for over a decade. They offer unique soups and toasted bites/panini's. We were served a cauliflower soup and an avocado crustini. I loved the cauliflower soup. It was surprisingly creamy and tasty. Two In our party loved the avacado crustini, Boricua Soul - This place is special. The husband and wife owners have a captivating story to share about the historical and Philosophical origins of their culinary adventure. They served us a "lunch box" with perfectly prepared Puerto Rican roast pork, greens (soul food) , Mac & Cheese (soul food) and tostones (Puerto Rican). It was a huge bite and was the favorite stop for 5 people in our party. Next time we attend a Durham Bulls game we plan to eat here. Queeny's - is a friendly, creative bar / pub. They served us upscale nachos and a glass of dry cider. The nachos were very popular. The dry cider was interesting and unique. They owner made us feel welcome and encouraged us to try the many well designed drinks and bar foods. Bill City Burgers - The owner do an outstanding job describing his unique commitment to serving only Greason fed beef raised locally and making every item served here in house by his team of chefs. The burgers were excellent. They were bursting with beefy flavor and cooked perfectly. Be sure to try the deep fried pickles. So unique and loved by all. Two in our party picked this stop as their "Best Bite" selection. Sweets by Sayda - our last stop offered devine French Pastries. Macrons, croissants and other delicacies were shared. Share these pastries with those you love. They will treasure these treats. Lastly, I would like to share our deep appreciation to the folks at "Taste of Carolina" food tours. Our hosts had to manage finding a fifth stop today since their schedule included a venue who had to close due to kitchen staff all falling ill. In addition, I was recently released from the hospital due to foot surgery. These made waking very difficult. Our hosts did everything possible to make sure I was included in all of the stops. We plan on doing these Taste of Carolina Tours in the future: Hillsborough, Carrboro and Winston-Salem.

Yelp
This is a great place for a burger & beer lover. Bull City Burger & Brews has a great selection of burgers and fries. I got the classic burger with cheese and the shoestring duck fat fries. To order you line up, place your order and they give you a table sign with some cool Bull City historical facts! My food experience: The burger was juicy (pink) and delicious. The fries were salty and dry. My husband got the sweet potato fries which have cinnamon/sugar dusted on the top and tasted like dessert. My brother got the classic fries which were really good!! They brew their own beer and will give samples if you ask! I enjoyed my beer and everyone in the group enjoyed their drink selections. They have a full bar if you're not into beer. This restaurant also has indoor & outdoor seating and dogs are allowed on the back patio. We enjoyed sitting outside since the weather was perfect. FYI - they have a veggie burger but no chicken or other proteins and very few options if you don't like burgers.

Yelp
Great options for drinks and pretty tasty. Would pass on the food, burgers were alright and fries nothing to write home about.

Yelp
Farm to fork and made in house menu. Located on E. Parrish street, this was a great spot to walk to before our DPAC show. The restaurant focuses on pasture-raised beef from local farmers and brews beer onsite. They are making everything from the buns and hotdogs to the mayo! The service was friendly and very casual. Counter style service and quick cooking. They also offer exotic meat! Including rabbit, kangaroo and crickets! Dessert lovers will enjoy the wide selection of house made treats.

Yelp
I ate here for the very first time last weekend. Don't ask any questions as you order. The response was "It's on the menu." OK, I'm used to restaurant employees being somewhat helpful and somewhat knowledgeable about the food at the establishment where they are employed. Not in this case. ‍ My "pink in the middle" was well done and not pink. It was very dry and rather flavorless. The Duck fat fries were amazing. The young woman who brought the meal to the table was very friendly and checked in on me several times before I left. Glad I added a decent tip, despite the food ordering process and dry burger. I'd give it another shot as I like to support downtown Durham businesses.

Cole M.

Yelp
The burgers here are fine. We were surprised at how busy it was, considering there're many places around that are better. I'd maybe go again but I wouldn't crave it. The fries are just like little crisps which was a bit surprising.
google avatar

Yasmin B.

Yelp
The food here is pretty good but the wait to order the food is ridiculous. First you have to stand in a really long line to order your food. Then you have to be lucky enough to find a table to eat it at. Then you have to wait another half hour or so for the food to arrive. Overall was a very long time from getting there to actually eating. The place is very loud and crowded. They should set the sub differently because it is very inconvenient especially if you're traveling with children. I must say the burger is pretty good though so that's why I've given it four stars.
google avatar

Rebecca M.

Yelp
Bull City Burger and Brewery was on a recent food tour I took in Durham. I liked that everything was made from scratch there and that local farms are supported for the pasture raised beef. They even bake the hamburger buns in the store. I was disappointed in my burger though. I ordered the build your own burger so I expected it how I ordered it and not with additional toppings. I'm not sure if the problem happened at the register where I ordered or with the kitchen but someone decided to add sauce to my burger and it wasn't me. I debated sending it back but that is always iffy as you never know if someone will spit in your food. I didn't think I'd get a new burger anyway they'd just try to take off the sauce so that is what I did but it is impossible to get it all. The burger was cooked to order and they had a sign at the register so you'd know what to expect when you order it a certain way. The taste was ok and likely would have been better without the sauce left on it. They need to do better at making orders correctly. Now the sweet potato fries were amazing with the salt; sugar and cinnamon. I really enjoyed those. I then ended my meal with eggnog ice cream.
google avatar

Orrin E.

Yelp
Admittedly, while I love and appreciate a good burger, it's never my "go to" on a menu- but how can you NOT order a burger in a spot that specializes in burgers? This was hands down one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Grass fed organic burger truly does taste better, plus when you add fresh veggies, tarragon mayo, pimento cheese and put it on a house made roll! BCBB nailed it. I ended up ordering fries too- which were hand cut and fried to perfection. We also ordered the pickled things which were very good too. The bartenders were friendly and a fellow at the bar spotted the jazz tshirts we were sporting and told us about a new jazz venue opening soon in downtown Durham. Our drinks were impeccable too. Highly recommend this farm to table establishment.
google avatar

Tango M.

Yelp
BCBB was hosting a stein-holding competition, so I dropped in to watch. I ordered the Green Monster Burger and a side of the Duck Frites. The burger was one of the best I've had. And the Duck Frites were a treat, chock full of flavor. Clean restaurant and friendly staff. If I'm ever back in Durham, I'll make it a point to stop by again.

Yelp
Great lunch or after work Spot! The burgers are all beef and organic. The service is perfect and the noise level is low but comfortable. I'm going to save you some time and embarrassment. If you are looking for the water, it's NEXT TO the soda machine with the blue spigot. It's a sign that says that but I was looking on the soda machine lol The only miss here is that they don't have regular yellow mustard. It doesn't say that on the menu (or I missed it) lol! I would suggest that they buy a couple of bottles and keep in the back for those of us that don't like the spicy mustard for ourour burger's and hot dogs. I got the classic burger with cheese and the dirty fries. Not sure what made the fries dirty but they did have the potato skins on them so maybe that. Other than the mustard ... great place and I look forward to going again
google avatar

Sheetal M.

Yelp
I went with coworkers for Exotic Meat Month. It was my first time at Bullcity Burgers. I got the Bug Burger and it was seriously one of the BEST burgers I have ever had! Leaving aside those squeamish about bugs and all, the patty itself was juicy and flavorful and actually a good size. I can't express how hard that is to find! Food was quick, staff was super efficient and polite. I will be back and bringing friends!

Yelp
Heading to the Bull Durhams game and wanted some "game" type food before the game and this hit the spot! First time here and were asked when we arrived if we had been there before and was then informed once we knew what we wanted we could go up to the counter and order. Plenty of menus to grab to take a look and also a specials board right there as well. Ordering was easy and the gentleman behind the counter was helpful and answered any questions we had. Now for the good stuff, the food: We did a build your own burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, Mayo and red onion and jalapeños on the side bc my hubs and I were splitting it. Everything came out perfectly and it was a very good burger. The fries (we got the thicker cut ones) were perfectly cooked. Loved that they have their own sodas and you can try a few different ones as you enjoy your meal! Decided to order their 1/2 dozen cookies and they were a good size for the price! We had wonderful service and everyone we encountered was very helpful .

Yelp
Best burgers (IMO) in Durham. Great service too. Food was quick and we even share a table. Hope that you can parallel park because you'll be walking.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night and decided to come back again within the same week because it was soo good!! Honestly, the best burger I have ever had is from here! The shadoe burger! I definitely recommend it :) The first time we came was on a Friday night before closing and it was pretty slow. The next time we came was a Sunday around 5pm and it was sooo busy!! We probably waited over an hour to order and get our food, but it didn't upset us because that is just how GOOD this place is to wait. The service is amazing, the food is amazing, and their vibes are great. I got the shadoe burger both times because it was DELICIOUS! The patty was perfectly cooked and oozed with juice. You cannot go wrong with any of the fries. We tried to duck frites and crispy fries and both were FIRE. And we also had to try their award winning chili. The chili was delicious! That is definitely why it is award winning. One extra thing that I loved was their soda fountain. They didn't have the traditional coke or pepsi products, because they had their own line of colas! We tried every single one plus the lemonade and have concur that each one is tasty. My personal favorite was the vanilla cola. If I lived by here, I would come here every week just for that burger. My mouth is drooling just thinking about it.

Yelp
Friend of mine had the day off and I was on vacation, and he was downtown Durham so headed that way. Decided to try this place and see what we would find. I had Jalapeño Bull Horns, and Bacon and Blue Burger, Along with the Dirty Fries. I like things with hot int hem, but the bull horns weren't that hot they were just kinda there. I get that a lot of people don't like spicy food and serving at real spice level jalapeño poppers isn't great for people buying them but these basically tasted like fried cream cheese to me. I was a bit bummed by the lack of spice at all, couldn't tell there was a pepper in there without visually inspecting and seeing it, but it'd been de-spiced by either whomever sent it to them or by how they hollow it out when they get it. Don't recommend those. I do not like pink hamburger meat, so I always order well done. Was cooked how I prefer, and I did enjoy the blue part of the bacon and blue but the bacon part again didn't impart much flavor in it. For as descriptive as the menu is on what's in it didn't taste bacon or much of a BBQ sauce. Was a solid burger though, nothing to change up habits wise but not bad and the bun stayed coherent as you ate it / wasn't soggier up with grease or moisture and was clean to eat. The fries were fries, I wasn't overly impressed. They seemed over crunchy so must have been coated maybe? Not a fan of that, I just want cut and deep fried potatoes with seasoning. You order at the counter and sit down, but tables are bussed. We were there for over an hour and a half BSing about stuff. I didn't try any of their beer options as it was mid day and I had to drive for another 30m afterwards. They appeared to have a nice selection of things. Plenty of seating, parking is paid nearby. Not much right in front but it is a downtown area. Has some nice bench seating for larger groups.

Yelp
Love the art, atmosphere and service! Best pickle chips I've ever had and incredible beer. Highly recommend you stop by!

Yelp
We came for my wife's birthday. She got the Classic burger and I got the French Dip burger. We also got a side of cheesy fries. The staff was great and our food came out fresh and hot. My wife loved her burger. Cooked perfectly. My French dip burger was one of the best burgers I ever ate. The au jous was delicious. The cheesy fries were equally amazing. We washed the food down with Blueberry Viola Weiss. This place is fun with great beer and food. I highly recommend you visit.

Yelp
We were in town for the TST (The Soccer Tournament) and dropped by to see a Durham Bulls game on the last night. A woman sitting in front of us recommended some local restaurants and Bull City came up. We saw that it was right around the corner and went for dinner after the game. I had the Secret Burger and Duck Frites and both were delicious!! Unfortunately, the rest of our order fell flat. Hubby ordered the BCBB special (ostrich burger) and it was over cooked (requested Pink and received more than well done), dry, and the patty was seasoned with way too much salt. The batter of the Onion Loaf was tasty, but again, way too salty. At first I was thinking my hubby's taste buds were just off, but after having a couple of bites of each I agreed those items were salty! Thankfully my burger and fries were not. The lemon pound cake was super dry. It definitely needed the ice cream that I had requested to be left off. That might have been by design since it is served with ice cream, but was disappointing for one who loves a good pound cake. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was very clean. We ate inside tucked to the side which allowed us to have lots of conversation in a quiet atmosphere which was really nice. A lot of restaurants have music playing so loud you can't talk during dinner; so we enjoyed the laid back atmosphere.

Yelp
After reading the excellent Yelp reviews we decided to dine at this brewery before our DPAC show. We both had burgers, split a quart of fries (we could only eat half), and each had a tasty beer. You order at the counter, grab a number and find a seat. It's community table seating and that was fun. A runner will bring you your food and the bartender serves your drinks. Everyone was super friendly. It was a good time.

Kayla B.

Yelp
This place really feels like a Durham staple. Ordered a beer flight at the bar which was delivered in a bull shaped holder. Beers were good and there was a diverse group. Bartender was very friendly and gave us great recommendations.

Yelp
This local favorite is located convenient to down town, the Armory and The Durham Hotel. It's like two different places in one. Go to the bar for a flight, samples, or pints or sippy cups of beer or ciders. Also wines are available. The second half of the restaurant is where you order your burger or hotdog made to order. Create your own from a wide variety of free and added cost add ins and condiments. Sweet potato fries and crispy onion straws made for cinnamon sweet and greasy sides. After you order you take a number on a stick to your table and your food is served. You can order drinks (adult or otherwise) at the burger bar, but if you want some brewery advice and samples go to the other bar. A good place for a group. Tasty burgers. Cold beer.

Yelp
Visited Bill City Burgers & Brewery as a part of a food tour. Everything on the menu was made from scratch except for the ketchup. The owner took time to tell us about the history of his restaurant and we got a love sample comprised of the burger with fried pickle chips and a drink. Everyone else had the golden ale. I opted out for the non-alcoholic drink and got the cherry cola. Oh my, it was sooooo good! Indeed the food tasted so much more flavorful too. I had so much appreciation for the meticulous preparation and heart put into the food. 5/5 would recommend! The space is also HUGE! There indoor seating in the front and back of the restaurant as well as an outdoor pergola area patio, where we had our reservation. Great place to grab a beer or a meal. I'll be back to try their famous veggie burger and hot dog too :D

Yelp
I'll start off with not being a fan of 'order at the counter and we will bring it to you' type places. If I'm spending decent money on a good meal I like to be served. But that is me. The lady at the register was very friendly. Apologized when they were out of the daily special, and recommended the aioli mayo to make it close to the special. While the burger was a bit small, it was delicious. I read something on the menu about being locally sourced, probably grass fed or something or other. Whatever they do, the burger meat is delicious. Served fast and hot. Duck frites were very good. Most of the seating is community style long tables. I like that when I am in the mood for it. The place was not busy, so I had a table to myself. $24.19 for a burger, fries and a beer before tip. It was very good, but I thought it was a little steep for ordering at the counter and the size of the burger. But everything is more expensive these

Yelp
Not impressed! Where's the Beef! Service: Very friendly servicer/bartender. Kendra was great! This is the main reason this review is getting 2-stars vs. 1. Online working: Simple and user-friendly. Food: Ordered three burgers and fries and was very disappointed! - Burger 1 - Bacon and Blue add mushrooms: The burger was dry and the main ingredients were missing (bacon and blue cheese). Not sure how this happened. - Burgers 2-3 - Build Your Own: Missing simple requested items like mayo and ketchup. ‍ - Fries - regular and sweet potato: When I picked up the food the fries were cold and overcooked. Kendra promptly requested new fries that were hot, but still over cooked. This has a fail. When I called back to share my concerns we couldn't get new burgers because the grill was cleaned and closed for the night. Beverage: New on the menu are two frozen drink options and you can request that your favorite spirt be added. Tip - Don't order online before they close because it appears you get what you get!

Yelp
Fantastic food. Each component of the burgers is stand alone outstanding, you could eat just the bun, meat or toppings alone and enjoy the flavor. It is obvious that the ingredients are carefully selected or crafted. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help. The Porter is perfectly brewed. The seating area is perhaps too cozy. You often have to share tables with other guests. For us, we love this, but for many, that might be a no go. Especially if you are looking for an intimate meal with that special someone.

Yelp
Second time in Durham, and second time at BCBB. Can't recommend this place highly enough. The food, service, and Puck's soda fountain are all top notch. Locally-resourced business, community-focused, and offering the best and most reasonably-priced food and beer!

Yelp
I was craving for pretzels. For about 6.50$ I got two small pretzels which were tasty but needed to be heated up. It could have been a bit larger. I also had the darkest beer on their menu. It was fantastic and a bit fruity tasting. Overall, the service, beer, and ambience are nice, but the pretzels really need to be larger and heated up.
