Yelp
I have heard great things about Bulla, so when my husband and I scheduled a date night I thought it was the perfect place to go for a romantic dinner. There is a small parking garage near Bulla, so it makes it easy to get there. Our server was friendly, helpful, and gave great recommendations. The restaurant décor is sleek, modern, and cozy. They have a selection of non-alcoholic cocktails, which is nice. I didn't see one that interested me, but I thought the drink special the Proper Rose sounded amazing, and they were able to make a non-alcoholic version of it for me. We chose to enjoy a variety of tapas which included the patatas bravas, the ham croquettes, the chorizo stuffed dates, and the montaditos. The patatas bravas were crisp and delicious, but the sauce on them was a bit too spicy for me. The ham croquettes were crisp, cheesy, and had a decent amount of ham in them. They were my least favorite though. The montaditos and the chorizo stuffed dates stole the show! The montaditos were layers of crips, savory meat, and cheesy deliciousness. The dates were a perfect combination of crisp bacon, slightly sweet dates, and the savory dip. I could eat an order of each by myself! We ended our meal with the café bombon, the churros con chocolate, and the volcan de chocolate. The café was the perfect temperature, was smooth and creamy. The churros were crispy, paired perfectly with chocolate, and delectably warm. The chocolate lava cake was light, chocolatey, and paired well with the raspberries.
Rating from F to A+++, I give it an A++. We would love to return to try paella and other dishes.
