Bulle: A Panoramic Gem with Technical Precision Bulle delivered an exceptional lunch experience that justifies its reputation as one of Lyon's most compelling bistronomy venues. Seated on the terrace perched on Fourvière hill with unobstructed views across the city, the setting is genuinely spectacular, it's the kind of vantage point that makes you understand why they chose this location. Strengths:The starters and main course were genuinely excellent. The vegetables were treated with real skill and perfectly cooked, bright, and served with refined sauces that enhanced rather than masked the produce. Each element had purpose, and the seasoning was precise without being heavy-handed.The view is honestly spectacular, particularly on a clear day. The restaurant maximizes it without making the space feel cavernous or impersonal. Areas for refinement: Service was competent but slightly understated, although nothing wrong with it, just not quite anticipatory. The team were efficient and professional, though a bit more warmth or engagement would've elevated it further. The dessert was where things didn't quite land for me: the lemon zest was generous to the point of overwhelming the plate's other elements. It read more as "lemon dessert" than as a balanced finale. A lighter hand on the citrus would've allowed the other components to shine through. That said, the technical execution of the dish itself was flawless. Overall:Bulle punches well above its price point. The food quality, presentation, and attention to seasonality feel closer to a 1 Michelin kitchen, yet the vibe remains relaxed and unpretentious. If you're in Lyon and want excellent cooking without the ceremony, this is the place.

Category: Fine Dining. It’s hard to say which was better here, the wonderful creative food or the incredible view of Lyon. The first taste of the restaurant is the upper patio, which is dominated by a beautiful old tree, which might be better appreciated if it were not overshadowed by the spectacular view. This is a great place to enjoy a drink and the scenery, separated from the clamor of tourists snapping selfies on the other side of the iron fence. If you have a reservation for the restaurant (a must), proceed past the bar, down the stairs (or take the elevator), past the polar bear 🐻‍❄️ , to the long hallway separating the kitchen from the dining room. Every table in the bright room has a great view through the soaring Palladian windows, but of course tables along the wall of windows have the best vantage points. There’s also a lower patio for restaurant guests, but it was too cool on the day of our visit to dine al fresco. Although the menu items are available a la carte and we not planning to have a big lunch, we discovered that it’s more economical to order the four-course option (three savory, one sweet). For two people, order both of the four course options, which will enable you to sample most if not all of the menu. So we ordered both options and a bottle of Beaujolais, and settled in for a long lunch. The wine list doesn’t offer many bottles under 50 Euros (our sweet spot for restaurant wines), but our Fleurie choice fit our price range and taste: depth and body. The highlights of the meal were the marinated prawns with carrot sauce and egg yolk confit (really amazing), the duck foie gras terrine, the steamed hake with cepes, and the red mullet with rockfish soup. All were excellent, and although we viewed these four dishes as the highlights, the other two savory dishes and the two desserts were also excellent. We were impressed that the chef and his staff were able to produce such a varied menu at such a high level for as many guests as this restaurant seats (and every seat was filled). We visited just bar terrace, with amazing view, and had a few drinks. First of all, view is stunning! I could enjoy such beautiful city with all details. Secondly, coffee and other drinks were really good. I enjoyed. After I saw restaurant downstairs, it seemed amazing, but we had no time for lunch at this time, and it was quite full, I think to come other time with reservations.

Bulle Restaurant in Lyon is such a great find! The sourdough bread is soft, fluffy, and pairs perfectly with their creamy butter. I loved the starter with cheese, nuts, and berry sauce, it balances all the flavors so well. I tried the ravioli with shrimp and it had a fresh, sea-like taste that really stood out. The vibe is relaxed yet classy, and seeing so many locals dining here made it feel authentic. Plus, the view of Lyon city just completes the whole experience. The service was also excellent, our server Tristan (who looked like Timothée Chalamet and Pedro Pascal combined lols)

The set menu was delicious and probably too filling but I had to eat all of it! The service was nice (not over the top) and the views in and outside of the restaurant was incredible. I had to come back during the golden hour to appreciate the view again on the terrace with a glass of wine. The terrace is walk in but dinner needs reservations.

Exceptional location with a beautiful view from the terrace — the surroundings and the venue itself are well worth the trip. Extremely tasty and high-quality food that meets Michelin standards. A place to recommend if you’re visiting this city.

We stopped in to have wine and sit on their outdoor area to enjoy the panoramic view of Lyon. Service was good. The attendants were friendly and quickly found is a nice table with cool shades.

This place blew my mind! Best view in Lyon. Incredible food. Amazing service and lovely management. We all shared tastes. Great place for a special celebration. We were there for Father's Day. Not to be missed. The atmosphere is superb. In a city that boasts some of the best restaurants in the world, this stands out. It was one of the greatest dining experiences of my life, seriously!
