The pool hall area is great. The bar and restaurant area is very dated. They must have a great air filtration system because the cigarettes odor is not over bearing.

Friendly bartender's and nice bands early Friday s and the food was great.

This is my neighborhood bar. I come here to work in the evenings when I can't stay in the office. The bartenders all know my order, they greet me by name, and they are incredibly attentive - knowing both when to check and when to let me focus. Prices are great and selection is good. Rarely crowded, and always a good space to work alone, shoot pool on a date, or meet with your board.

It was so busy when I went to have dinner recently, but we didn't have to wait long before we got service and we didn't have to wait long for our food!! The burgers and fries were delicious!! It was a different kind of burger than I'm used to (SPICY!) BUT MY GOODNESS WAS IT GOOD! There was a band performing and lots of people dancing and enjoying themselves. The live music is on the second floor where there is seating for groups etc. and there is a large bar as well. If you can't quite handle an excessive amount of stairs you could always Park so that you are entering directly into Bullfrogs. The plaza loops all the way around but it's not quite connected so parking can be rather difficult to say the least. It's honestly easier to park off site because this location gets so busy. The Crown Billiards are downstairs along with Andy's Pub. There's a lot to experience! I look forward to going back to shoot some pool!

The atmosphere & staff are amazing. My drink is always perfect and the food is really good too! Happy hour is 4-6pm❤️I’ll definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I will come here once a month or so when they have a good band playing that night. We usually go early enough so we can get a bite to eat. Sometimes we will have a full dinner 🍽️ and other times we will just order an appetizer to share. Afterwards we will hang out to listen to the band and have some more drinks 🍻

Was told the drinks were on special according to the website and asked Isabella when we arrived if that was the case, she said yes. After hanging out for about an hour, hour and a half we ordered food. My friend had to go get his food from the kitchen because the service was horrible and it was sitting in the pickup window for almost 20 minutes. After this we asked to cash out, Isabella charged my card $92.37 for drinks that were supposed to be $2.50 according to her. When I attempted to question my bill she threw me out of the bar. This was one of my go to places and I’ll never step foot in again until this is corrected.

I sort of feel like this place is trying to be more than what it actually is. The look of the place is fantastic. However, if you're going to offer a classy environment with over the top prices you should probably not allow smoking. You will lose some customers, but gain way more in doing this. Also, train your bartenders to be more cautious in how much they serve. Far too many people are stumbling around and can hardly walk because they were over served. That is a huge liability for you guys and an accident waiting to happen.

This bar is amazing, first off the ambience is very movie like bar pool tables decent bartenders overall I enjoyed it. The bathrooms were amazing I enjoy places that have stalls that go all the way to the bottom gives you more sense of privacy. The food was okay want anything to write home about but still pretty good. The defined was about the same but overall I wouldn't put this place down it's a decent establishments

Great space upstairs and downstairs. Bullfrogs has a nice open bar area with plenty of pool tables. Only downside is smoking is allowed. Andy's upstairs is also a large space with a couple of pool tables. Bartenders are always attentive and friendly. Food is typical bar food, nothing too special, but still good. Great place for groups or if you want something a little extra added to the bar experience

This is a comfortable, friendly bar. Clean, modern while still keeping ahold on the pool hall vibe. (Andy's is downstairs) I met an old friend here for a couple beers and some grub. I had a Philly Steak Wrap with sweet potato fries...one outstanding meal! The sweet potatoes were just the perfect touch to set it all off. An unexpected combo but the perfect plan...with a few beers on the side, of course. The staff all work so hard to make sure you have a good time whether it's hanging out, beers or meals. Courteous and attentive, to say the least. I'll be back every chance I get.

Was there for a family get together , reserved since before Christmas and waited over half hour to even order drinks ., and over an hour to actually get our food. When we requested the manager, when we asked if they were short handed and he said no. The waitress was apologetic, she did her best! Management is the problem!

I was excited to check out this new space since it had been created above Andy's Billiards. Coming in, it's a pretty great set-up. It's above the billiards, so you can pear down and sneak a look at what's going on below. There's also TV screens GALORE! So don't worry about not being able to see the screen on game day! And talk about cheap cheap cheap! The night I went there was a special on Dos Equis for $1.50, unheard of for imports if you ask me! There are a couple negatives though. Number one, you can still smoke inside. Gross! Number two, there's no draft beer! NO draft beer!? I was a little taken back. They have this huge bar....and no draft?? Okay, I'm done, but still it's weird. There's nothing like a ice cold draft, so I kinda missed that...and thought it was weird! Okay, I'm really done now. If they fixed both those issues I would definitely bump it up to 4 stars....maybe 5 if the food is good (haven't tried it).

I was a little disappointed after checking out Bullfrog's. First, parking is very limited. They share their lot with a pizza business and who knows what else. Once inside, there is an amble bar with plenty of seats. They have a great craft beer menu! I did not try the food because the service was so bad. If you look at the other reviews, you will see this mentioned over and over. Could be good, but poor service holds it back

Tonight was my first time stopping into the Bullfrog Bar. The space was nicer than I expected and I was ready to have some fun with my friends. The service, however, was some of the worst I've had the displeasure to receive! Strike one...not only were they out of a number of seasonal beers, but our waitress acted as if we were an inconvenience to ask about them. Strike two...the food was not as expected. The pretzels were more like bread sticks and everything seemed to have some directly out of a freezer and into a fryer or microwave. Strike three...the waitress brought out our checks and placed them on the table saying, "They're all screwed up" as if it was our job to figure it out. In our group of five people, three paid with cash - they received changed, but the waitress rounded up and gave herself a small tip from the change. The icing on the cake, though, was they she charged the same credit card for two checks. When we pointed out the mistake, she made no effort to correct the problem. There was no manager on staff to help us out and she was totally unapologetic. It makes for a funny story, but this is definitely not a place I'll come back to.

Beware they allow smoking downstairs and the smell and smoke come up into the dining area. Yuck

Worst experience I've I in the shortest amount of time possible. If you want to eat and drink off dirty dishes Bullfrogs is the place to go! Bartenders there have the worst customer service in town. When I pointed out the multiple lip marks on my glass she replied "ugh I hate when that happens" then walked away. Waited 5 minutes to get her attention to ask for a new drink, she said sorry bout that, as she walked away I said no worries you didn't wash it she says I don't know if I did or not haha. I ordered a bloody marry and she mixed it A1 steak sauce instead of worcestershire sauce. I was handed a brown glass with white olives that should have been green. 4 people behind the bar and only person serving all the customers and she was the rudest person I have come in contact with in years and was acting under the influence. I didn't drink my glass and was still made to pay before walking out! Never again!

Nice bar, dining area. Food is acceptable. Consistently terrible service, and half-assed attitude from staff. Waited 20 minutes to close my bill on a not so busy Saturday. Was told by the bar manager that I did not receive attention sooner because my beer was full. Upon voicing my opinion of the level of service (perhaps I was a little worked up), I was verbally accosted by another member of the wait staff. Her trashy demeanor and loud mouth did no go unnoticed by other patrons, and were the center of many subsequent conversations. The bar manager doesn't know what an Old Fashioned is, and one of his team members proceeded to take the reigns and serve up a mediocre Manhattan in its place. Spend your time and money at 1000 beers (at the north east end of the plaza), same owner but far better service.

If you have read my only 2 reviews so far, there is a 4 start theme building. This is my 3rd 4 star rating because I just started writing reviews and have only shared my thoughts on the places I love. Like Gregorio's, I am holding the final star for one simple thing that could make this place perfect if corrected. The Bullfrog is an extension onto the already popular Andy's Pub. The owner decided to open an upstairs section to his pub and billiards hall to create a more elegant, upscale environment. He succeeded quite well. There is plenty of seating if you want to grab a table for cocktails with friends, or order from their delicious menu, which provides a variety of pub favorites. There are two very nice billiards tables, keeping with the pool hall theme throughout the building, conveniently located on the corner of Liberty and both Peach and W. 38th Street. The wait staff is always very friendly and adds to the friends and family feel of the place. And the atmosphere is all tied together with a nice, modern interior design (You'll love the bathrooms). The one thing that causes me to continue my search for the perfect nightlife venue is the fact that they allow smoking throughout. It really is no fun to leave a place after having a great time only to smell like an ashtray. If the Bullfrog could separate from the rest of the building and provide a smoke free space, wow! It also wouldn't hurt to put a tap system on the second floor. Enjoy.

This bar has the most potential of any bar in all of Erie. It's big, it's nice, good location and two huge bars. But there must be an issue with the management because service is horrid. And I have paid enough attention to it to know that the bartenders and waitresses just do whatever they can get away with. They keep their phones at the register and check constantly on busy nights. On multiple occasions the male bartender doubles as the barback and will just leave the bar for a decent amount of time to get a case of beer even on busier weekend nights. The smoking anywhere is a restaurant or bar is just so stupid. It ruins the interior of the place and you lose more people than it brings people in. The food is ok nothing exciting and drinks are pricey for Erie which would be fine if they had the better service and was nonsmoking because it is a nice bar.

Had to go there because friends were in from out of town. Again, worst service ever. Rude. Not friendly. Sloppy. Just a bad effort yet again. I steer people away from there and Andy's. These people need trained. I think the owner is a great guy but those staff members. My oh my. Oh, and our table was never cleared once.

Bullfrogs is def on the pricey side for erie, but it is very nice. Its bright and open, clean bar and bathrooms. They have a huge selection of beers

I am a lifelong resident of Erie and I was excited when Bullfrogs first opened. It had a nice décor and I enjoyed the fact they have live entertainment early on Friday nights. As time went by, many of my friends complained about the quality of their food as well as poor service. I also personally began to experience what my friends were talking about, however I continued to patronize, becoming more disappointed each time. Then last Friday evening I experienced one of the most bizarre and disturbing experiences of my life. One of my favorite bands, the Blues Beaters, were playing so my girlfriend and I stopped in to have a drink and see the band. We sat at the back bar where we were waited on by the regular female bartender who has worked that back bar for years. You know the one who never smiles, has bark brown hair which is always pulled up, and is usually unpleasant. When I went to pay my tab, I asked to pay cash rather than have the balance billed to my credit card....which she did without even asking me if it was ok to bill my credit card. At that point the bartender became quite rude and said she couldn't reverse the credit card transaction and accused me of not knowing their payment policies. She continued to become even more aggressively angry at me and I thought she was going to reach over the bar and choke me. At that point, my girlfriend who was a bartender for many years, spoke up and mentioned to the bartender that she was being very unprofessional and that she couldn't believe a person who works for tips could be so rude. That angered the bartender even more and she continued to yell at us and said to me that I should know their payment policies from all the times I "brought that other woman in here". WOW! Did she really say that? The other girl she was referring to was my old girlfriend from 2 years ago! At that point, my girlfriend asked to speak to a manager and the bartender responded, "there is no manager"! I am 53 years old, have traveled extensively to many countries, and I have never seen anything as bizarre as what I experienced at Andy's Pub & Bull Frog Bar. I started wondering if was just the bar tender having a bad night or if other people have experienced what I have experienced. I started asking around and checked reviews on-line and I was disappointed to find I am not the only one that has had a bad experience at Andy's Pub & Bull Frog Bar. They need to hire a staff with some good customer service skills that actually care about the people they are serving and who are paying their salaries. Also, I encourage you to visit the bartender at the back bar and determine for yourself if she is really a witch, or if she just pretends to be one. I have had inferior service at various places in the past, but I have always left a tip...except for last Friday evening. This experience will stay with me forever, and not in a good way! I sincerely hope the bartender, and the owners read this and make positive changes...for themselves, their establishment, and the people of Erie who pay their salaries.

Stopped in for happy hour and to check out some NCAA tourney action. Fist off, they had one of the three games on the giant screen, and Dr Phil on the others??? Does anyone there have a clue what games are going in right now. No asked the bar tender of she could change the tv by our table and she said she would try. 30 minutes later, no luck. A waitress FINALLY came over to our table after this to take our order. Along with our drinks, my wife asked for a menu. I also asked for the game to be out on. 10 minutes later our drinks came, no menu and no changing of Dr Phil. I asked her again and she did change the channel. Another table near us was served approx 20 minutes later and at that time the waitress brought my wife a menu. We had to leave so my wife never got to order. Staff is NOT friendly, I would rather go to a dive bar with nice service than this upscale bar with horrendous staff.

The atmosphere & the big screen would make this place a great place to watch Sunday football if they would not allow people to smoke. The menu was VERY limited & the food was aweful. There was plenty of seating but it was difficult to find a seat where you weren't inhaling secound hand smoke.

was there on a monday . pretty good atmosphere i will give them that. a huge screen to watch football , nice!. pretty cheap too; $2 long island specials. this is where it gets bad; me and my boyfriend sitting down enjoying our time talking about how nice this place is , sipping on our long islands which we did not taste any alcohol at all! and i am a light weight when it comes to alcohol!. i told the waitress about it and she told me that she was gonna make it a double she did not say anything about charging us for their mistake. the rest of the night she bothered us every five minutes asking us very impolitely if we were going to eat anything or order anything more or not. we ordered about 4 long islands. it was just us and couple of people at the bar and a couple of college kids at the table next to us , so pretty slow for a football night for a place that has a huge screen to watch football. after the second half started she asked us again if we were , and i quote; "done! " and we were!!!! she , worried that she wouldn't be able to get a good tip i'm guessing. than she came and slammed the bill on the table?! and the bill was more than what we ordered so we wanted to ask her why and she got on our faces, to the point where she told us that she was in charge of that place as a server and that there was no manager that she was gonna get us kicked out !?? we just left and just paid for what we ordered and not going back there , thanks to our waitress Nicole!!. no manager !! really!!??

The service was horrendous. I was at a table of 8 & we had to wait for our waitress way too long to get served drinks. When we would look for her we could see her chatting with her friends instead of serving drinks. She totally screwed up our food order. My son and I were given what we thought were our orders but when I questioned her that I didn't order Steak fries and neither did my son, she said, "oh yeah, let me look into that." and walked away and didn't return for 20 min. All of a sudden she appears back at the table and says, "guess what, I gave you the wrong two orders, here is your food and gave our order to two others at our table that had been waiting for a long time for their food. They had waited for 45 min and told her that to just take it back and delete the price from the bill. After some small argumentative discussion between them and her they took the food and ate some of it. Needless to say, our bill was all wrong and she didn't/wouldn't change any of it. My biggest regret is not demanding to see the manager to discuss the crappy service & food. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless they want to WAIT for everything.
