I've been coming to Jonathan for ~4 years and truly don't trust anybody else with my hair except for him! I have naturally black hair, and Jonathan has been able to seamlessly turn me into a blonde in a way that looks natural without harsh lines at the roots or anywhere throughout. Anytime I get my hair cut (not at B&B), stylists have commented on how well done it is and how minimally damaged my hair is. He is extremely disciplined in his art and dedicated to his clients. His sharp eye allows him to analyze exactly what tones flatter my skin and facial features best. I attached photos fresh after in the salon and out in real life in different lighting. Love you so much Jonathan 😍 Thank you always!!!

I have only had consistently positive experiences here. Everyone is friendly and attentive. The process of having your hair washed is heavenly and the stylists meet with you to discuss the plan before your hair is wet and combed straight. I highly recommend making an appointment with Roz, especially if you have curly hair! She is a visionary and can accommodate any request. I have come to her for simple trims, my wedding day look and to chop it all off. Roz delivers an ego boost every time. Never any regrets! PS: Roz takes the time to teach you how to style your hair as well so you can look great every day. 10/10

Megan at Bumble is the BEST— she always does exactly what I ask for beautifully, but also makes great suggestions for what works best for my hair that are always spot on. Have been seeing her for over a year and will continue to do so forever! The rest of the Bumble staff are lovely and my experience at the salon is always fantastic and relaxing.

Just wanted to drop a note and say how happy I was after my haircut today with Megan. As a busy mom it's difficult to find the time to get my hair done, so when I get it done, I want the best! Megan has been cutting and styling my hair for a few years now, and is able to transform my neglected locks into a chic hairstyle that works well up or down, styled or air-dried. Thank you!!!

This was my 1st time going to a B&B salon and it definitely won't be my last. I went in for color with Jonathan after seeing so many reviews saying he was the best and they were right! I have naturally very dark hair but he was able to give me beautiful highlights in under 3 hours. He was so nice and pleasant to speak with and seemed very detailed in his technique which resulted in beautiful hair. Highly recommend!

I’ve known Jonathan for almost 12 years. I actually followed him to Bumble And Bumble, not only because he’s incredibly talented but also because he's a special person that truly cares. As a hair color specialist Jonathan brings unique qualities to the art. his creativity and aesthetic sense is only matched by his dedication to his clients' or as many feel, his friends' needs. I have complete trust in him and I'm confident that my hair is in the best care possible. He listens and is attentive to details. His perfection shines through every hair color style that he creates. I always get great compliments from friends and even people I casually meet. He’s simply Amazing!!! I’m quite sure that many others hold the same opinion. I highly recommend him!!!

Had the BEST experience with Jonathan today at Bumble and Bumble Midtown (E 56th Street). The staff were very welcoming and Jonathan worked magic on my hair. I haven’t been this excited about my hair in years! Thank you Jonathan 🤩

Calling all curly girls! If you are one, then you know how much anxiety plays into sitting into a stylist's chair. (cue' PTSD from my young age of 10 when my grandmother took me for a haircut at her "beauty-shop"... it was not a good outcome) Thankfully my days of trauma are over, and my hair is in the very capable hands of Roz (cut) & Wyatt (color) at Bumble & Bumble. For years, my unruly hair has been tamed, styled, and cut with expertise and my management (of it) in mind by Roz & then my boring brown locks are painted to incredible naturally shaded hue that compliments my skin tone and brightens my face, by Wyatt. I am a devout follower of them both and recommend them to any and all. Bonus, they are two of nicest people I know.

Yelp
I adore Bumble & bumble products! Bumble has been my go to for shampoo, conditioner, and a variety of hair products for eons! This review is for online purchase ... Let's talk about shampoo, baby... go online, take the hair quiz, and you absolutely will find products to meet all of your hair needs. Bumble comes through for me every single time. The shampoo was absolutely amazing. I definitely have my preferences for the ones that I purchase, but I pretty much at this point have tried all of them. If you color your hair, if you use different drawing instruments on your hair, or your hair is all natural, you will get the best results with the shampoo. It cleans well, it rinses, well, and it leaves your hair feeling like salon quality. One of my all-time favorite conditioners is the three and one. Why? Because you can use it after shampooing, and rinse it out and have the softest silkiest hair ever. A very cool trick is, too, put it in your hair, and using the magic of the three and one touch, you don't need to rinse it out. It will maintain your beautiful trusses until the next shampoo. I love having that perfect sheen to my hair. I love being able to order online, especially when they have their sales throughout the year, and I can stock up on quality hair products. Seriously, some of the best deals for high-quality product. It's an absolute game changer. Their products are made for all types of hair as I mentioned, but I especially appreciate the products for color treated hair. It helps my color last, and the beauty doesn't fade. Bumbles Customer Service is one of the best care teams ever. On the rare occasion that I have a problem with my order, I can pick up the phone have a conversation, I'm not on hold for endless hours, waiting, and there's always a customer service agent that is happy to help me. They've been great with fixing orders! I highly recommend Bumble for everyone. Quality products and great pricing!

Yelp
Booked a wedding consult and reviewed what I wanted with a senior stylist. Wedding day comes and he has no idea who I am or what I booked and pushed me off to a "junior associate" ON MY WEDDING DAY!!! And no apologies and full price for a senior stylist. Horrible horrible - never again.

Yelp
It was my first time at Bumble & Bumble and I will definitely be back! Zoe took so much time and consideration with my hair color. Not only did it come out perfect, she's also delightful to chat with! This was by far the best salon experience I've had in NYC. If you want amazing hair and to have some fun along the way be sure to ask for Zoe!

Nancy O.

Yelp
Zoe is an absolute God send! After almost 40 years in the city I have found a true color artist. I am naturally blonde so I only need highlights without the stripes! I was told by another Bumble and Bumble employee that Zoe is the "blonde expert". My expectations were not high because I had been disappointed so many times by color "experts". I had read that New York is the most expensive city to be a "blonde" so prices were in line with other salons on this level. Amazing, simply amazing and the most natural my hair has ever, ever looked. I could not be happier and I look forward to my visits because Zoe is such a ray of sunshine in my day! So, I have the colorist I never thought I would have and I have met a truly remarkable person. Lucky me and I highly, highly recommend Zoe!

Anastasia E.

Yelp
I have been going to Zoe for over 10 years now. She is the best hair colorist you can find in the world. I work as a model and my hair is super important to me. I went couple times to other specialist when I travelled and it was always so different and they would damage my hair. I come from Zoe feeling fresh and my hair is in better condition. We is the most pleasant person to be around and she always make it fun. I have been flying to see her in nyc when I was living in LA just because she is THAT AMAZING. Always come back to only person ZOE!

Abbey H.

Yelp
Fantastic experience with Zoe! She worked WONDERS on my hair... Gave me the color of my dreams! 10/10 reccomend

Francesca C.

Yelp
Let me just start that it has taken me years to find a hair colorist for blondes in NYC. Every hair colorist has given me orange or white highlights and big streaks. I finally found Jonathan Abad!! Amazing isn't even the word. I show him a picture and he replicates it. It's like copy and paste. If you need a blonde colorist go to him!!!!

Jacqui S.

Yelp
I have been seeing Zoe for color for over 10 years. Every time I go in, I joke that I've had a relationship with her longer than I've known my husband . She is truly the best. Not only is she kind, thoughtful and funny, but she is the top blonding expert in nyc. I can go three to four months between highlights and my grow out is truly seemless. In my opinion, a good colorist isn't just liking your hair immediately, it's being happy with it after a few weeks and months. If Zoe moved to California, I'd fly there every four months to have my hair done. No one else compares!

Olivia T.

Yelp
10/10 highly recommend this salon! They are professional, timely, helpful and just create the most pleasant experience for you. ZOE IS AN ABSOLUTE BLONDE LEGEND. She started doing my hair almost 2 years ago and completely saved it!! I went to her when I had 3 different blond colors and my hair was falling out. She made it a beautiful white silver and my hair health was fully back within like 8 months. Don't go to anyone else but Zoey for your blonde in the city!!

Laura Jane I.

Yelp
I've been seeing Zoe for color for over 10 years and she's phenomenal. If this review were just for her, it would be five stars without question. We've experimented with many different colors together, from natural blondes to rainbow hues. She always gives honest feedback and advice when I'm wanting something that won't look good on me. In times when I've been too adventurous and didn't love the final result (like going completely pink), she fixes my hair with no attitude or complaints. If Zoe were to leave the salon, I would follow her. The salon itself is fine. It used to have a much more personal touch when I first started going. I think the rapid turnover of apprentices, front desk, and managers has made it feel like a revolving door business. I feel like there has been a huge shift since the pandemic and unfortunately the salon hasn't been able to regain its magic.

Rosette D.

Yelp
DO NOT GO TO ZOE FOR COLOR !!!!!!! I went in for a root touch up and instead received a completely different hair color . My hair was blonde when i walked in which i like and she dyed it dark brown and wouldn't take any accountability in fact when i nicely told her that i was unhappy with the results she began shouting and talking over me and clapping her hands in a very confrontational manner and made a an embarrassing scene . I actually thought she would hit me at one point all while i kept quiet . She then got very close to my face stared me down and said " i have to go be with my client do whatever you want to do,go to front desk if you have a problem and made a gesture as if she was waving me away " as if im not a client . She has a huge EGO and took zero accountability!!!!! I couldn't believe that she reacted this way . This is what she did to my hair. Left photo (blonde) was my original color and instead of a root touch up she died it brown. Search ZOE in the reviews . She becomes very aggressive when confronted this has happened to other clients . I notified B&B complaint department & will be taking additional steps because she should not be working with clients. She just doesn't seem mentally stable.

Aiko S.

Yelp
Had a great blow dry from Michelle here! She was attentive and did a great job. I've already received compliments on my hair!

Yelp
I have been using this salon off and on for years. I called to cancel my appt today at 3:15 as I live in Rye Ny and there was a water main break cutting off water to my building and flooding the street. The manager refuses to let me cancel my appointment and is charging me 50% of the fee. This is unacceptable treatment to a client from a high end salon. I will not step foot in another salon or continue to buy any products. Bumble and Bumble is no longer considered an elite salon and now I know why. There are hundreds of other salons in nYC that value their clients. DO NOT GET FOOLED BY THIS FADING BRAND!!!

Judith G.

Yelp
Bumble & Bumble is a wonderful salon. I have been coming here for years especially because I have found a wonderful stylist Roz who understands my short hair, gives me a fabulous haircut which makes the most of my fine hair, and is in addition just a joy to spend time with.

Kristy D.

Yelp
Zoe is the best colorist in NYC, hands down. I have been going to her for years and no one does blondes like Zoe can!! If you have Blonde hair, you know how difficult it is to get it right. Zoe gets it right every time. There is no one else id trust with my hair. On top of her skills, she is an extremely personable and kind person. Color takes a long time, and Zoe always keeps it fun and lighthearted while you're in her hands. She's the best. I wouldn't recommend anyone else!!!! I'm a client for life!

Tory D.

Yelp
I have been going to Zoe for highlights at Bumble and Bumble for 15 years now, and I can confidently say she is the absolute best in the business. Her work is impeccable every single time and I always leave the salon happy and confident. Not only is Zoe amazing at what she does, but the whole experience is just delightful. It feels like catching up with a friend every time I visit. I highly recommend Zoe for anyone looking for a top notch colorist in NYC.

Livia C.

Yelp
Don't get me wrong, the colorist I had was absolutely lovely and did a great job. However, I ended up paying $200 more than I was quoted over the phone. When I called to book my appointment, I explained that I needed my roots bleached and toned, and would like my hair color evened out. When I arrived and spoke with the stylist, we were both very confused about why I'd been booked by the receptionist for a single process and/or some highlights. Because I was a first time client, I'd been told over the phone if I wanted to cancel I would still have to pay 100% of the cost of the appointment. So my options were basically either to get the wrong treatment(s) done to my hair and walk out looking awful, pay $200 more to get what I'd actually asked for over the phone, or get nothing done at all and still pay the full cost. My colorist apologized and did a fantastic (and correct) job with my hair and was very apologetic for the mixup and being booked for the wrong thing and given the wrong price quote. However, I still really don't think this is fair that I paid such a higher price than what I'd been told and had anticipated. If reception had quoted me the actual price, I might've gone somewhere a little more affordable as this was already an expensive, first time thing I'd decided to treat myself to.

Yelp
When it comes to the color of my hair, Zoe is the only person I now trust ! My first session with her was after a bad at home dye job and I had a lot of grays - She not only was able to lighten my hair from its dark mess, she didn't compromise the integrity of my hair and blended some of my grays so that the growing out process wouldn't be so noticeable - no detail is ever overlooked with her. She's is not only a gem of a person to be around but you can tell she takes a lot of pride in what she does! I just recently went back and couldn't be happier ! Can't wait for my next appt :)

Yelp
I have to write a review for a stylist here named Blake who really deserves it. I had let a very inexperienced person cut my hair assuming the supervisor would fix any issues but unfortunately that didn't happen. I don't want to dwell on this part but it will explain why it was very important for me to see tha people cared. About my happiness, about my hair, about my experience in general. I was looking for someone who could fix it. Also want to mention Kyle at the front desk who was able to recognize that my hair was....well just kind of weirdly cut, to keep it brief. He seemed genuinely concerned and like he really wanted to help fix it. This was a very big deal to me because when you have a bad experience where you feel like people didn't care, you need to see that people care and want to help you. Especially when you can't fix it yourself. This may seem obvious in an industry where you're making people feel good and pretty but it went a long way for me. Just the fact that he genuinely saw and was concerned about the state of my hair was validating and made me feel more calm since I wasn't alone. He recommended Blake and told me she was a good stylist. Thanks so much Kyle! This might sound funny but I visualized and did affirmations that with this appointment I would have a symmetrical cut that looked pretty. That my stylist would somehow bring everything together and bring out a new nice cut by kind of kind of chiseling off only what was unnecessary the way sculptors do. I didn't want too much extra cutting since I already had too much cut on one side. Blake first of all was so nice and encouraged me to get it out, my whole experience. I showed her all the things that were cut wired and how my hair normally would be. She was very patient and understanding and validating. I was very nervous so this was unexpected and really beneficial. There are plenty of stylists just about the hair which is ok and in ny everyone is busy. I heard about stylists that you can talk to but I guess I was surprised that she legit wanted to hear it. It wasn't a therapy session, don't get me wrong but I may have cried over my hair and the bad experience that week so talking to someone like that helped. Anyway, she said she used to be a sculptor and enjoys the challenge of fixing things and she could make a good shape out of what was there. She's obviously professional because she was able to talk and do at the same time. She would show me how she was going to fix each part and we went over together the final look. She also recommended biosil to help my hair. She was just reassuring and positive. She has a very nice way about her. I was nervous and then was self conscious about my nervousness so I really appreciate that she was so nice. The hair itself came out nice and definitely presentable. At least its even. Anything uneven you can't see. I left with a nice cut. I'm happy with the cut but I really appreciate her giving me the time. Going over how I will style it etc.. She really cares about the salon and the Bumbleand Bumble brand btw. For whatever reason I feel I should mention this. Like she cares about doing a good job and client experience but I also noticed she cares about specifically the reputation of Bumble and Bumble. Anyway, if you're reading this Blake thank you so much for everything! You're an example of how to treat people. (And cut hair ;))

Michele G.

Yelp
One name: Wyatt. I moved from CA to NY a few years ago, spent a year at assorted NYC colorists who were so lousy I wouldn't even ask them to fix it! Enter Wyatt. She's the consummate professional, a talented colorist, who gives you input (who wouldn't want the expertise of a pro?), listens to what your end goal is then goes at it. She made my hair look amazing every time. Soft and natural and with some grays that isn't easy. I know how excellent her work was because I'd leave smiling and feeling so good about the results. I unfortunately moved back to CA recently and am having a hard time finding a Wyatt equivalent. I will FOR SURE go back to her when I'm in NY to get a little fix of Wyatt perfection!

L K.

Yelp
For more than a decade, Zoe has been the master of my hair. Her vibrant and joyful personality is contagious, creating an atmosphere of pure delight. When it comes to hair and technique, Zoe's expertise is unparalleled, leaving no room for error. Without fail, she surpasses all expectations, delivering flawless results each and every time!

Casey H C.

Yelp
Zoe is THE BEST! She's a miracle worker, a GD blonde whisperer! I've been a loyal customer for 15 years and would be lost without her. She makes my color look so natural, such fine highlights that any regrowth blends right in (no harsh line) so I don't need to come back for 6-8 months sometimes. Not to mention, she's also hysterical, loving and relentlessly optimistic. Always walk out feeling a bit sunnier! #grateful for Zo

Yelp
My daughter and I have been going to Bumble and Bumble for the last 15 years, and Zoe(&only Zoe) has been doing both our color from day one. My daughter probably sees Zoe 5 or 6 times a year, and I have "lazied" my way down to twice a year. Zoe is a f@*!'in color genius. "How good is she?", you ask,(yes you asked, I heard you), she is so good that last month, a full 8 months since my last visit with her, I had a cut when I was out of the city, and the stylist, that's right, the STYLIST, someone who works at a high end salon and sees hair all day, every day, ASKED ME if my hair was "naturally" this color, "because it's gorgeous". When I told her that it was not, as well as how long it had been since I had it done, she raved on about how seamless it was and how the new growth blended perfectly, and that the person who did it is a genius, which, not for nuthin', she is. My daughter and my experiences with Zoe have ALWAYS been positive. She has accommodated crazy schedules, as well as always making certain we have been happy with our color results. Zoe is always upbeat and positive, and has become a friend, who we look forward to seeing, and whom I hope never(ever) moves or retires!!!

Alisha V.

Yelp
Zoe is the absolute BEST colorist in the city!! I have been coming to her for 11 years and am in love with my hair each time I leave her chair. She is a true artist who is brilliant with complex color processing; an expert on the delivering the look I want to achieve and ALWAYS HONEST on the process it will take to get there. Cant wait for my next full highlight!!

Caitlin G.

Yelp
Zoe has been doing my hair for a year. I discovered Zoe while looking for my ideal blonde and kept seeing her name as the artist behind the color inspo i'd find. Booking my first appointment was the best decision. Firstly, the color Zoe creates is next level perfection. She helped me achieve the icy blonde that I've been looking for and I always look forward to my appointments because aside from being an amazing colorist, Zoe is one of the most uniquely kind and hospitable people i've ever met. Her smile and laughter is contagious and every visit with her makes not only my hair, but my week better. Highly recommend!

Christina P.

Yelp
15 Years of INCREDIBLE hair color with Zoe Wiepert! Just had another appointment with Zoe Wiepert and what can I say - she's simply THE BEST!! For years, I searched high and low for the best blonde highlights that NYC had to offer. I tried every top salon from Fekkai to John Barrett (and more). While the services at those salons were fine, I found myself spending tons of money for color that I didn't love. Finally, a friend in LA recommended Zoe @ Bumble. He told me that he'd traveled to NYC to take her classes and was obsessed with her work. Bc I was used to high-end salons, I hadn't considered Bumble but given my friend's ringing endorsement of Zoe, I decided to give her a try. From that day on (and every 6-8 weeks since) I've had the best hair color of my life and have referred many clients to Zoe as a result! For all of you picky hair girls - Zoe's attention to detail, expert knowledge, and unsurpassed skill is what makes her an industry leading colorist. As if that wasn't enough, Zoe is ray of sunshine and her upbeat personality and positive outlook are infectious. If you're having a bad day or just need a pick me up, Zoe's chair is the place to be - her work will leave you feeling (and looking) like a new person. Thank you for many years of incredible service, Zoe - including your help with my many red carpet looks and editorial shots. See you in a few weeks for my next appointment!

Tun T.

Yelp
I have been loyal to my colorist (Jonathan) for years. He is very meticulous, careful with the entire process, very skilled and super attentive. I get compliments all the time to the point someone I met in Paris flew to NYC just to get her color done by Jonathan. I highly recommend Jonathan for those who want stellar results.

Rosemary M.

Yelp
Zoe is absolutely the best colorist!! I was very hesitant to color my hair but she made me feel at ease. We spoke about the texture and aftercare. She took her time in creating the perfect highlights. The end result was everything I wanted and more. I will definitely use her services again.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Stephanie is awesome for balayage/painted highlights. I have had a reliably good experience over the last few years and keep coming back! She makes it look natural and paints in your highlights so that you have some flexibility when your hair grows out. My husband has even started coming here for haircuts (with another stylist) and is really happy with Bumble as well. If you find the right stylist, this is a great place to go! They are also organized with appointments. I have never had an issue booking something that works and having them run on time.

Amy H.

Yelp
Extremely unprofessional and amateur stylist!! It's a factory. They charge $100 for a blowout for shoulder length hair, and it was probably one of the worst blow drys I've ever had.

Sarah L.

Yelp
Spent $600 on probably the worst haircut and color I've ever gotten in NYC. The colorist was either color-blind or just proceeded to do whatever she thought she wanted and did not listen to my very specific instructions. Then I went and got a haircut which was even worse as I asked for 2 inches to be cut and they cut 4!!! Which makes a huge difference I used to have long beautiful hair and now my hair looks mid-length and awkward. The first thing I did when I got home was buy hair growth supplements What an absolute disaster. I used to go to the meatpacking district B&B and they were great but the UES one seems to be filled with amateurs. So glad I spent that much money only to have to go somewhere else in 2 weeks for them to fix the color. Literally crying right now

Figen I.

Yelp
I'm very disappointed with the service I received. I paid for full highlights and Dana the colorist barely did half highlights. She only worked on my hair for less than 45 minutes and had the assistant do the toner, rushed to do another clients hair. Asked me if I wanted a cut and didn't even tell me the price, it was 185. And again literally 10 minutes to cut a few snippets off. I had to tell the stylist to add more layers to blend it because he gave me bangs which I didn't ask for. 530 dollars and I was rushed out of there. It costs me close to a100 in parking and tolls to get into city. They said they could do an adjustment...why don't you allot enough time to do it right the first time....so disappointed

Samantha J.

Yelp
Had an exceptional experience here! Check-in was fast, warm, and friendly. I had an appointment for a haircut with Dale. His assistant West's hospitality left me feeling welcome and at ease. Loved how he honored Dale by letting me know what a great experience I will be having. Dale is incredible. He was so kind, thoughtful, and deliberate with how my hair can make me feel great and adjust well to my lifestyle. I showed him a photo of a cute, short, blunt bob and he carefully told me how he will cut my hair but will modify a few things that will serve my hair texture better. Dale's finished cut was excellent. I got a haircut from a very famous hairstylist the year before, and I must say, Dale's precision cutting turned out to be a better fit for me! West finished off the cut with a great blowout and style! Loved loved loved my time here. I will be booking Dale the next time I go to NYC.

Yelp
I have been going to Bumble Midtown for almost 15 years. The one reason why I keep coming back is Zoe. She embodies all of the attributes you would want your colorist to have AND she is a perfectionist. I can say that because I'm the client who wants to spend as little time as possible in possible in the salon but she keeps me there until the job is done and in the end, I'm always blown away. The blonde magician I like to call her -no one does ash-blonde like this girl! In general, her demeanor is lovely and hospitable she treats every client like her best client-and THIS is the game changer. I watch her move from client to client and how she greets her clients, keeps them laughing, and her ability to read the situation not every visit do you feel chatty, she gets it. She never misses appts she is always ready to go with a huge smile-super professional. How lucky am I and i-how lucky is Bumble!

Yelp
I started coming to Bumble & Bumble July 1992. Then my daughter started coming here for her haircuts and conditioning treatments around 2006. I stayed a very long and loyal client working with several colorists and hairdressers. Overtime and after their fire when they moved to their updated location the service at the front desk seem to change and the prices continuously got extremely expensive. if you could imagine more expensive and they already were. I think their products are amazing and I still use them but there's always been drama especially at their midtown salon. I haven't gone there for several years now because I was just drained of it and it just got way too expensive. (also being a longtime client I had been getting a discount for years and then they abruptly took all the discounts away from VIP clients and that was a big deterrent) The front desk and some of the shampoo people lack real courtesy to their guests and many of them over the years have had an incredibly pretentious attitude. I find this pretentious attitude counterproductive when you're dealing with many extremely wealthy clients and you're only working for $10 an hour plus tips, many just getting out of beauty school or just moving here from somewhere in the Midwest like Cleveland in the last couple years. You just can't do that this is New York City, eventually people will just get disgusted. there's 1 million other great salons to go to in New York and the five boroughs. Anyway I loved my colorist Zoe I had gone to her for years but unfortunately they just got too expensive for me to continuously go to every three weeks.

I hate to leave a bad review for Bumble and Bumble. I came here for a trim. My hair is very straight and thick and I wanted an inch or less off. I showed pictures with straight hair, same style as mine. I told her this hair trim was for a job interview. I feel very unprofessional looking with this haircut and that it doesn't suit me. The stylist was very friendly and the salon staff was very friendly. But, the haircut is not what I wanted. Sadly, now, I have a wavy haired mullet. My hair was thinned out a lot and cut at very different angles. It's very uneven. I'm thinking this is going to take a very long time to grow these uneven layers out. As nice as the stylist was, I believe it's very important for the stylists to listen to the client or say that they aren't willing to do something, so I can go somewhere else. The Manager of the salon was very nice and gave me a refund.

Yelp
For starters - I never go to a good haircut place because I get the same haircut every time and it's a standard few inches off with some layers. However, places usually manage to mess this up and I'm left crying leaving the salon. I told myself I'd finally do some research into a GOOD salon and go somewhere I can trust. I heard of Bumble and Bumble through their products sold at Sephora and have heard great things. After doing some research into their salon, I decided to give it a try and was not disappointed. I made an appointment the same day of. It was 5:20pm and I scheduled it for 6pm. When some things came up at work, I had to call and immediately reschedule for 7pm, which they were also flexible with. I ended up getting out of work earlier and got to the salon at 6:15pm and they were still able to take me. So convenient and customer friendly. First I got my hair washed by Maria, who was amazing. Usually when I get my hair washed my neck is in so much pain because I'm short and can't reach the tub. Thankfully they had adjusting, reclining seats. Maria did such an amazing job and even massaged my neck and shoulders throughout which was great. Reanne was my haircut stylist and she was so great. She has so much experience with styling and styles for various occasions and people, which allowed me to trust her. She's worked in NYFW, styled for famous bloggers, and even styles for a lot of photoshoots. She listened to exactly what I wanted and made sure that I was okay with what she was doing before she snipped my hair. I told her my hair concerns about it being brittle and damaged and she put some products in to help/gave me great recommendations. I came in feeling like my hair was so dry and damaged from my recent Costa Rica trip and left feeling great. She was truly amazing and I will continue to go back to her. For payment - they don't accept Discover and you can only tip in cash. They have an ATM but there's a $3 surcharge.

Yelp
Was in Sephora a few blocks down the street when I was approached by a salon "apprentice" and asked if I was interested in being a hair model of hers for the day. She explained she was new to the city and it was her first day of class. Free wash and blowout? Why not :)! I followed her to this location and learned that they are close on Mondays for classes. My apprentice, Helen, was a total Southern Belle - (she's from Alabama). Extremely sweet and willing to learn. Although she struggled a bit in learning to use the chair + water + the comb + .. stabbed me a few times with the brush and pulled on my hair.. quite a bit - I really enjoyed my time in the salon with her. I was her first "hair model" in the city and being a student myself - i totally understand the pressure of having instructor always coming over + critiquing every step, yet she handled her first lesson very well, learned really quickly, and focused bettering her technique with each stroke and brush. Ultimately she did a fabulous job and i felt so much prettier leaving the salon. Hope to see her as a full time hair stylist in the salon in the future. Best wishes to her! (Her instructors on the other hand were a bit cold - kinda wished they at least introduced themselves). Would be willing to be her hair model again any day :)!

Yelp
I had the ABSOLUTE WORST color experience at this location. I requested some toner to camouflage some grey hairs and I ended up with my hair painted dark brown - I LOOK LIKE A CLOWN. I am so incredibly disappointed by the INEPTITUDE of this colorist (Begins with a "J") and the entire organization. They refunded my coloring, but I'LL NOW HAVE TO SHAVE MY BEARD AND CUT MY HAIR OFF. I will be paying for this every day until my hair grows back. BEYOND HORRIBLE

Yelp
Since my old hairdresser left my regular salon three years ago, I have tried countless different salons on a quest for a good cut, spending hours scouting reviews and traveling all around the city. Every stylist up to this point has seen my long thick hair, not listened to my concern that it can be unruly and a hassle, and has very lightly interpreted my requests for length off, subtle layers throughout and more dramatic face framing ones. I've left with an inch off and a bit of a long layer at the front. Today I went to bumble and bumble for the first time, and Randy really listened to my concerns and understood what I wanted within minutes. She explained that sometimes clients with long hair will freak out when a few inches are taken off so she errs with caution- I respected that she's aware of client psychology and is careful to ensure that nobody leaves sad that their hair is too short! Regardless, she followed my instructions, intuitively knew how to execute it, and I have my best cut in eight years- I'm delighted and highly recommend. The salon itself is very efficient, well run, and kudos to Maria who washed my hair, delivering an epic head massage for the entire wash. I've finally found my new salon.

Yelp
Wow! From the minute I walked in the door I was treated like royalty! There is such a great vibe here! I love my amazing new blonde hair and my cut was perfect - I asked her to keep it long and she did - I could not be happier. There are sick amazing products there too! I got the perfect potions to keep my hair shiny and healthy! Thanks Bumble and bumble!!

Yelp
Loved my experience with colorist Amram He is an artist and clearly a pro. He cares about the look not just a process. Thank you Amram.

Yelp
I really avoid giving a bad review that could affect a person's livelihood but why should I put that concern above hoping to save other people from extreme hair damage. This review concerns Zoe (colorist) who not only has an ego too big for her own good but is also careless and arrogant. I went to her for my double process blonde on two occasions. One was last summer because my usual colorist was out having her baby (it went fine) and then unfortunately the second and fateful time. I had been nursing my hair back to health from a damaging color job I had received 3 years prior which gave me a lot of breakage (nothing close to what I was about to experience). I finally had shiny, soft hair that moved and swung as I walked again! I was so happy to have gotten to this point. As soon as I sat down I told Zoe that I was so happy to have nursed my hair back to health by doing weekly Olaplex and deep moisture treatments. She immediately went off on a tangent that I had caused the breakage using Olaplex. She went on and on and talked over me telling her I had success and that my hair was great and to please be cautious so as to avoid breakage. Well she sort of mocked that and basically said if you bleach your hair it's gonna break and went on to talk about herself endlessly for the rest of the appointment. Quipping also that I should just cut my hair off. As I was drying my hair it seemed kind of thinned out but I thought it may be because it was freshly done. WRONG! I lost a good 50% of my hair volume!! I will now have to spend the next 2 years to get my hair back :( I'm talking about hair broken up to the scalp throughout my hair, in places I didn't even know could have breakage! Throughout my head even in under layers that are usually most healthy. The back of my head is nearly bald and I'm so embarrassed to have hair in this condition. Its not even at the level of a home bleach job let alone something I paid hundreds of dollars for. I gave a fat tip too because I had no clue of the damage yet. So so so so upset and anyone who can do this much damage to a woman's hair should consider a different field or stay away from the higher skilled techniques.

Yelp
I have looked tirelessly for a hair colorist in New York who could do an "icy blonde" that blended in white my natural color and was bright, without being blue (on my 30th Birthday, a salon in midtown turned my hair blue using too much toner and I was held hostage there until 1am while they tried to fix it). Aida, listened to me describe what I liked, looked at precedent and photos from a colorist I love in Canada and did an exceptional job. The color took 4 hours, because she meticulously colored every strand visible to ensure I could part my hair a variety of ways and it would grow out seamlessly. I had almost 5 months between colorings the first time I came to see her. I would highly recommend Aida to any blondes specifically, and I am confident she can master any range of hair colors. - Lindsey

Yelp
My name is Azzah. Since the Covid started money has been an issue for me. Instead of getting my roots done in 8 weeks. I am waiting for a few more weeks till I get my roots highlighted. I called an made an appointment with Johnthan I made appointment at 4:30. Bumble and Bumble called an hour before my appointment and told me he is sick. You know it's Thursday. Long Weekend. I reschedule for another day. I came in on Saturday. I was told he will be late. He was half an hour late. Appointment was 11:00 he came at 11:30 am He was behind 45 minutes late. He looked at me and mumbled something. I told him a full head of highlights. He ran to the coloring room and mixed something and added highlights. It took him two hours until he finished coloring my hair. Then he left foils on my eyes and I could not see. He left me sitting there and I was not sure what will happen next. He was running behind. Then the person who washes hair came told me it will take 30 minutes until it's done. Like ok? Finally my hair is done and the foils coke out. It's 3:00 pm. My hair is washed. The color is darker than when I came in. It looks awful. No highlights. He forgets about me and they send me to the dryer to dry my hair. He remember me and dried my hair it looks awful. No highlights but he added low lights and looks green. It was 4:39 on Saturday and I wanted to go home. I was super tired. I went home and called to get fixed. I pod 348.00 for low lights. I wanted highlights. My hair looks green. He put to much of a toner. Anyway made appointment on Wednesday at 4:30. He canceled he is sick. Here we again. Gave me appointment at 6 pm. I waited for two hours in NY to see him. Finally i come on Thursday. He tells me a I am uncomfortable and I do not want to add more highlights in your hair. I did not want to burn. There is no color. It's dark and looks green. Like are you serious? He brought his friend to do my hair and she said no she can't do my hair. She does not want to burn it. Wow what a hair salon. I feel I am back in high school. Then he calls the manager. The manager tells me. You are always in the hair salon. I said no. When the color is not to my expectations and I paid 348.00. Yes I will come back get it fixed. Like seriously. Bumble and bumble policy is two weeks to fix hair. Johnthan disappeared and I am guessing he went home. Gods knows. He wasted my time. I live in NJ. My bus arrived at 8:20 PM. I did not get home till 9 PM. The manager apologized and gave me my money back. I was so upset I stared to cry. I have never been treated so badly in my life. The hair colorist should go back to school and learn how to color. The worst part Johnthan spoke to Wyatt. He believed her story. He did Wyatt a favor and Destroyed my hair. I do not recommend this Salon

Yelp
Anastasiya is amazing! I looked at her work prior to coming, because I was looking for something trendy like balayage and knew that it was a not easy job to do right. I have hair that was color treated so I know it's even harder I get the effect that I wanted! I looked at her work prior in Instagram through a friend, but was still skeptical because of previous bad experiences. Anastasiya is just a pleasure to be around - she is very pleasant funny and attentive, but also knows what will and will NOT work for you. She listened to what I wanted and also made some great suggestions. I was VERY happy with the result and got a ton of compliments at work!!! She is a hidden gem in Bumble and Bumble!!!

Yelp
One of the worst haircuts of my life. I showed the hairstylist a photo of the hairstyle that I was looking for and instead received a haircut that looked nothing like the photo. It would have been fine if the hairstyle she gave me looked modern or to date, but instead, I look like Joan Jett from the 80s. I wanted a cute bob and now I have to wear my haircut in a ponytail until it grows out. I wish I didn't have to write this review, but I am so sad that I paid a lot of money for something that I can't even salvage.

Yelp
My experience is always wonderful! From my greeting when I walk through the door, to sweet Maria who gives the best scalp treatments and head massages. Wyatt is an amazing colorist, ALWAYS has my color on point and Randy shreds my hair so I slay to the GODS! I absolutely love this place. It's my safe place when I need to unwind and have a me day. Highly recommend!!
