19 Top-Notch Burgers to Try in San Diego

"The Little Italy bistro does their burgers with lettuce, sauteed onions, cheddar, and secret sauce on toasted brioche buns. The Model is their gluten-free option with avocado and vegan secret sauce on a gluten-free bun. Accessorize your burger with the boujee tots paired with caviar, egg, and lime crème fraiche." - Candice Woo, Helen I. Hwang

Bun & Patti Is Bringing Gourmet Burgers to Little Italy - Eater San Diego

"Endeavoring to offer an experience that’s a cut above other casual burger spots, Bun & Patti is landing on Kettner Boulevard, joining Bobboi Gelato and Zinque at the base of the AV8 building where it’s currently scheduled to open in early February 2023. Dino De Salvio of Next Wave Commercial leased the space, which has sat empty since SuperNatural Sandwiches closed in late 2021, to its new proprietors, Amy and Elion Prodani." - Candice Woo

It's been a while since I have said my two cents about an amazing eatery. I know Google gives 5 stars. However, this place gets the Howey 10 star. Location perfectly cut into Little Italy. The atmosphere is very comfortable and dining size, not overwhelming. On to the food, one phrase, "this is a must taste place"! The meal I had was chic n licking and onion ring. The flavor was awesome. I will be back there to try something else on that menu! If you need to new place to have a burger this is the place to visit. It will not disappoint your taste buds. Anthony, thanks for the great service!

Google
Omg! This place is a hidden gem! My husband and I were looking for a good burger joint. Well, this place was freaking AWESOME! We had the pretzels to start ... thank god they gave us two...so we didn't have to share. Then, my husband got the smoke show burger, which he still is talking about. I had the notorious b&p ... which was mouth watering. The truffle fries were deadly and the onion rings were the best I have ever had. The other best part... we walked right in!! 100% we will be back !!!

Google
Fun atmosphere, great service and plenty of food. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the weather. Lots of shareable burger combos. Bougie tots and the surf & turf burger were the best! Try it! Specials on Monday’s.

***update: we both woke up to violent food poisoning. Management handled it professionally. But, idk there are definitely safer options out there for burgers😭*** It was okay overall. I was hoping it would be a knockout because the restaurant is nice and it’s Saturday night. Also, it’s had raving reviews. But, tbh we got burgers and they were so bland. We’d thought it be the best choice, but were disappointed. My bf got the smoke show and it was underwhelming. I got the regular burger and it was red. I’d wished they asked what temp we’d preferred if their standard was medium rare. The beer cheese for the pretzel bites was soooo watery. However…. The staff is friendly and the drinks were great. So there’s that:) lemon drop was refreshing and the old fashioned was smooth. Idk if I’d try again, but maybe we just came in a bad day.

Google
What a bummer. Must’ve been an off day for the cook cuz it was just a letdown. Got the burger which had no flavor despite looking amazing. How can tater tots be loaded with caviar and other goodness but taste bland? The ranch has no flavor and was watery. The wings were tasty and that was about it. We will give it 1 more try in the future because a friend we trust recommended it and hope it was just a bad day for the kitchen

I came to San Diego for a weekend getaway and saw Chef Shawn's post on Instagram. After looking at the menu, I made it a point to stop by. We came by on a Thursday for a late dinner. We arrived around 8:45 pm and they were able to accommodate us at the indoor/outdoor bar. They had a live performer singing to enhance the ambiance. She was pretty good. The host was wonderful and Chef Shawn came to check in on us. I had a mezcal drink that our server recommended. But the food was the star of the show. We started with the brussels sprouts, which had a unique smokey + sweet flavor that was delightful. The hot honey and garlic pram wings were good too. I had the surf and turf burger and it was amazing. Very fresh beef and the crab cake combined was a wonderful experience. It's a lot of burger but every bite is savory and delicious. The truffle fries were an added bonus to the meal; highly recommend over the onion rings. Highly recommend if you're looking for a good burger in Little Italy

Google
Just received my $40 Door Dash order from, and needless to say I am the least bit satisfied. I've never have eaten here in the past, but this was suggested when i was ordering from Door Dash. I decided to try it out. The prices were slightly higher than i was use to paying for food, but gave them a shot. I'm really not a picky customer, but was very disappointed about my meal investment for the evening. The $17 hamburger presentation was great, until i bit into the undercooked raw meat. The $10 shake was half empty (or half full) and was missing the waffle and other ingredients. The ice cream cookie dessert was missing the ice cream and basically paid $7 for a chocolate chip cookie. Overall my meal was a disaster. On top of it all, I had to pay drivers fees, extra taxes and a 25% tip to the Door Dash driver, which he deserved. Pretty terrible for my first and last time eating here. The food expeditor should definitely pay closer attention before sending out orders. I'm giving 2 stars for my experience, and that's being generous.

Google
Love: Fresh bun. Meat seasoned well. Nice onions. Good ratios Don’t love: Meat was a tad overcooked Price: $12.95 Rec Level: Very solid burger at a nice price point for being in little Italy. If it wasn’t cooked well done woulda been 👌I believe they shoot for medium, so it could just be opening week adjustments that need to be dialed in. Tip: They have a deal on Monday. Burger, fries and a beer for $14.95

Yelp
Really good food. Upbeat music with sports on every tv. Server was great and quite helpful. Unfortunately, she had to be extra helpful because every beverage we tried to order was down to it's last one, out of stock, or simply had not been removed/changed from the menu. That being said, she was quick to offer replacements and offer samples when she could.

Yelp
I had The best burger. My daughter had the steak with chimchurri. All our food was very good

Yelp
This place is a total vibe. My best friend and I had a reservation at a place nearby and wanted to grab a cocktail before hand so we walked to Bun and Patti and I am SO happy we did. The ambiance is dark and vibey. The bartender was super nice and made great martinis. They have something called boujee tots that have caviar, truffle, and a lime crème fresh that looks AMAZING and I will be back to try it. I feel like we stumbled across a hidden gem with this one and can't wait to come back to try the food!

Yelp
In a random day in the city for work I found this place and was pleasantly surprised by every bit of it. A family feel in the big city with really good food and drink selections. My servers were very kind and attentive and I loved that you could sit on the street if you want.

Yelp
We grabbed a seat near the kitchen when we arrived. I asked them to make me a mocktail version of hubby's drink and it was delightful! I still wanted to try one of their shakes, so I chose the Bang Bang. It had a Belgium waffle on top! For starters, I had to get the Baker's bacon. It was thick and had a berry glaze with jalapenos on top- it was so yummy! The Frisky Fried Cauliflower is one way to get me to eat my veggies LOL. Hubby loved the portobello mushroom fries, which had a crispy and cheesy batter. We usually get different entrees to try, but we both really wanted the Smoke Show burger. The presentation was really cool, with the fog effect. I enjoyed my burger and side of truffle fries. I liked that the burger wasn't huge too. Hubby got onions rings instead and they were nice and crispy. Their offerings were really interesting and everything was high-quality.

Yelp
We really liked our trip to Bun and Patti. The inside was had a lot of slick black colors with low red lights and gave it a very classy feel. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. They came by to fill water and help us with big smiles and were happy to let us move seats when another large party cancelled on them. The TVs were big and easily viewable without being overly distracting. The food was really good. Brussels sprouts were cooked perfectly and were delicious. I got the Smoke Show burger and it came out under a smoked glass dish and had a fun presentation. It also helped that it was really good. Overall it was very clean, elegant, and felt upscale without being too expensive and the smoke show was excellent

Yelp
A more modern take on burgers and American food. I came on a Saturday night and the place was nearly empty, with about two patrons sitting at the bar. It's located on the less busy side of Downtown on Kettner Blvd. Inside, the atmosphere was dark, and their red neon sign lit the restaurant. We ordered their Portobello Mushroom fries and the Notorious B&P Burger. The fries were served with a red pepper aioli and were extra crunchy! Loved this app. The burger was a double patty with cheddar, pickles, lettuce, tomato, sauteed onions, and their secret sauce on a brioche bun. The ingredients propped well on top of each other that it did not make a mess. Taste wise, it was juicy and well seasoned. I would suggest Bun & Patti for anyone looking for a nice ambience with a slightly more upscale take on gourmet burgers. I really like it here and would come back to grab a bite or something before continuing a night downtown. They also host events such as trivia nights on Tuesdays @6:30 pm and you can win some cash prizes.

Yelp
This is an off the beaten path hidden gem! We had friendly service from Elion our server. Our food was well proportioned and delicious. The restaurant was cozy and not very crowded for Valentines Day. The tables were close together and provided little privacy. There was one customer that was intoxicated and extremely noisy that ruined what could have been a very pleasant dining experience.
google avatar

Sabrina M.

Yelp
Easy 5 stars. This was our second time here and it did not disappoint (again). The burgers are classic yet elevated. The ambiance is fun and sophisticated, we haven't been but they have a Trivia Night on Tuesdays. The drinks were both delicious and beautiful. Service is great and very attentive. Will be coming back more often. P.S sorry I forgot to get a picture of the burger before I started munching.

Yelp
Spontaneous Sunday had us ending our day at this sleek little burger place. The Vegan burger was delicious and saucy and with a full bar I thank Kelly for the being able to make my delicious "Fannies French 75" I also had the cast iron skillet chocolate chip cookie but it was too good to be photographed lol ;-)
google avatar

Yelp
Two stars because the food was not what I was expecting for being a restaurant in Little Italy. Location is everything and it is important to be able to match your competitors. There was nothing special about the burger or its ingredients, the bun and patty were not melt in your mouth soft and the toppings were basic. They have an item on the menu called the boujee fries (if I remember correctly) and it honestly just seemed to me that there was a bed of hush puppies with mayo, chopped red onion and some other very obvious toppings (very much like I could have made it at home. Enough about the food - the drink I had was good. No complaints about the service or the ambiance, very Little Italy.

Yelp
Was super excited to find a burger spot open late night with vegan/vegetarian options I got the saucy sliders sub with impossible patty, all I asked for was the patty subbed I received a impossible patty cut in half unevenly, barely any lettuce no onions and no cheese My Bf got "the model" burger they provided a lettuce wrapped burger we were not informed they were out of gluten free buns and the burger was missing avocado and onions Was really hoping this would be our new burger spot unfortunately it dosent seem likely

Yelp
Come here for the best smoke show burger They have a beautiful spot located right in Little Italy. They also have tons of other options like salads, tots and more. We've been here many times and love a night out at their venue. This staff is amazing and it's a great spot for a date night. Parking can be a little tight in Little Italy but they do have some spots right in front.

Yelp
I decided to stop by after craving wings after seafood restaurant hopping. The pictures of the wings looked pretty good on yelp so we headed here for the wings, game and old fashioned. Pretty nice laidback bar to watch a game and get some bar food like wings , burgers... ambience was chill and I love the decor especially the ceiling. Food came out fresh and hot and crispy which is how I like my wings. Buffalo Wings: 3/5 Fries: 3/5 Old fashioned: 2.5/5 Service: Great Cleanliness: great If I wanted some wings and to watch the game, I would come back. Nice laidback vibe. Next time I would sit at the beautiful bar.

Yelp
Best casual spot it little Italy. Just had the bacon couscous and wife had the steak. Shawn is amazing. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
$14 for a cheeseburger wouldn't be so bad if it were the most amazing cheeseburger I've ever had. Sadly, it isn't. Nothing extraordinary about this beef, except that they call it natural which means absolutely absolutely nothing. You would do better for 30% less to go to Burger Lounge down the street. At least the beef is great and the prices are better.

Yelp
4.500 stars. This is an excellent find on the north end of Little Italy; truly a small business, family-owned restaurant in a sea of corporate titans. They specialize in burgers, which were fresh and delicious. We had their loaded fries to start, which was excellent. We were happy to see that drinks were reasonably priced, costing about seven dollars for a draft beer and $11-$13 for cocktails. The atmosphere was very cool with dark tiles and cool lighting. They had two large projection TVs, which was showing the big game. Service was excellent, and the young lady who helped us was bubbly and competent, despite having a lot of tables. This is a great option for reasonably priced meal or just drinks with friends in Little Italy.

Yelp
We were craving a really good burger & fries in San Diego and walked into Bun & Patti in the Little Italy area. We were immediately welcomed by the bartender, Christina. Hubby ordered a burger and fries while my son and I shared Wagyu with crab with truffle fries. The chef prepared the burgers to perfect temperature, they were moist and delicious. The truffle fries were so tasty and served with aioli and ketchup. After a long drive, it was so nice of Christina to make me a delicious Kahlua and milk. She also gave us great tips for places to see and eat in San Diego. We will be back!! Great ambience, warm service, and delicious burgers, fries, and drinks.

Yelp
We were first timers and enjoyed seeing that B&Ps had more of a nighttime, trendy adults vibe at night as an option for a quicker and more casual but still lively dinner. We went on a Saturday night and it was packed with 20-30 something's grabbing drinks or dinner. Music was loud and the atmosphere was dim. Definitely gave you energy going into a Saturday night however if you're looking for a quiet place or family meal on a weekend night, this isn't ideal. My family said they visited during the day on a Saturday and it wasn't too loud so maybe lunch is best for family outings! I ordered the cheeseburger and thought it was a great size - filling but without making you feel like you overate. Was it a life changing burger that I think about regularly? No, but it was good and I'd come back for it and recommend it to friends/family. The only true downside was the bun was a bit soggy but it did come out hot and with fresh ingredients. There was good flavor to the sauce and burger, though on the mild side (I wouldn't have hated a teeny bit more salt on the patty). The only thing we found odd was that they had a really limited local beer menu. I'd love to see more craft beers options! Overall, I definitely recommend to others! We will be back to try their other menu options. I like that they have plenty of options beyond burgers.

Yelp
What an awesome stylish spot for great burgers and such. I loved their vegetarian option. Also the fries were fire ;) Combo on some grub here and gelato at Babboi next-door sounds like a great afternoon ;)) Little video of the experience: https://www.instagram.com/p/Crho8wKgbXq/

Yelp
Best burger downtown! Love the food and atmosphere AND they're super dog friendly which we love. Can't miss this place!

Yelp
Attended an event here last night and their catering menu was on point! The truffle mac and cheese was a personal fave because you could take the premium cheeses used to create it. I also really enjoyed the frisky fried cauliflower and the pretzel bites! The service was also great. The servers refilled my drinks and took my empty plates promptly. This restaurant is perfect for a date night or a small private event! Looks like it would be a really good vibe on a weekend as they also had a DJ. I would definitely recommend this place! S/O to Chef Shawn for the delicious dishes!
google avatar

Yelp
Overall a solid spot. Good chicken sandwich, but a little dry. The crisp of the chicken was perfect and the seasoning was really nice, but definitely too dry and a bit hard to chew. The burger was also decent but the patty was very thin and overcooked. I didn't get a strong feeling from the burger that it was top quality beef. It was hard to taste amongst the other toppings.

Yelp
Excellent burgers ! Not your normal they are outstanding This place is the new hang out For foodies and drinks

Yelp
First time i go to this place, recently opened in Little Italy. Very cutr ambiance, great music . We sat dacing the street to people watch. Server was very nice. Canned mule was good they have an open bar too. We ordered the Kale Salad, an order of fries, onion rings, and sliders that come with 2 decent sized sliders. We shared everything. So delicious. The owner, Elion came by and checked in, very nice man. I will definitely return!!

Yelp
Bun & Patti is a decent spot to grab a burger and hang out with friends. The food was good, but not something I would recommend to friends visiting from out of town. We tried the Notorious BIG (2 6oz patties), sliders, Lady A's wings, crispy fries and Shorty Stack (Strawberry) milkshake. Out of those items, the milkshake and crispy fries made the top of the list. I enjoyed that the milkshake wasn't too sweet and a reasonable size. All of our burger buns were served at a cooler temperature. We all preferred a warmer bun. The meat was more dry than moist and sauce was needed. The wings were cooked perfectly, we tried the spicy honey sauce and the flavor was okay. They had a great selection of mock tails. My favorite part of Bub & Patti was the decor, laid back, modern diner style with a bar. There are 3 TVs in the spot, so it would be a decent place to watch a sports game. We found the flow is the restaurant to be a bit confusing. There are tables outside and all of the tables were exposed to the outdoors, none of the tables were purely indoor (enclosed in 4 walls). A customer walked in their 2 dogs, but sat closer to the sidewalk to dine. There is a register up front with a menu above it. We thought that we would order from there, but we were told menus would be brought to us and we could sit where we wanted. Bun & Patti was down a staff member when we went, but it did take some time to get our menus and place an order. Enough time for us to have a moment of uncertainty, if we ordered at the register or if someone would come to our table. Eventually my friend got up to go to the register, then someone told them to go back to our table and our order would be taken there. We may have been checked in on 2 times after placing an order, not including interactions about the bill. I thought the staff could have been more attentive. It wouldn't be my first choice spot to have a meal in Little Italy, but is good enough for me to come back with a friend who enjoyed it.
google avatar

Allie D.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with some friends and was not disappointed. Service was great and super friendly plus the burgers were amazing! I loved that they had an option for everyone with a great gluten-free choice and a vegetarian option as well. I got The Model and the bun was really good for being gluten-free. The patty was also top-notch. The only thing is you have to order the fries separately, no sides come with the burger. We opted for the more classic burgers but were very tempted to try the Smoke Show or Surf & Turf burgers. These will be next up on the list!

Yelp
Bun & Patti is a new gourmet burger restaurant that has opened in Little Italy over the past week. It has replaced a former sandwich spot next door to a gelato shop on the ground level of a luxury apartment complex. The seating was a combination of tables and countertops on the inside and small roundtops on the sidewalk outside the front entrance. The place was packed when I visited during the soft opening. You order at the service counter, and then they give you a numbered sign to place at your table so the servers can locate where to bring your food. There were five full-size burgers and one set of sliders on the menu. One burger was served on a gluten-free bun while another was vegan with the use of an Impossible Meat patty. Two chicken sandwiches, chicken wings with a choice of four different sauces, three salads, and a bowl were the rest of the main offerings. Sides included two types of french fries, onion rings, bacon, and mac 'n cheese. I agree with the one reviewer who said the menu behind the counter was difficult to read because of the red and black color scheme (see my photo). For my meal, I picked the Saucy Sliders which came as two mini burgers with a natural-fed beef patty, lettuce, tomato, sautéed onion, cheddar, and secret sauce on a toasted brioche bun. I also ordered the Crispy Fries as a side. The meat on the sliders was juicy, and the kitchen did not overuse the sauce. The lightly seasoned fries were twice-fried to give that extra crispiness. The sliders were pricey at $12+ for the pair. I do wish they offered a burger discount on a slow-moving day like Monday or Tuesday. Besides that, the rest of my dining experience at Bun & Patti was enjoyable.

Yelp
Welcome to Little Italy, San Diego, Bun & Patti! My partner and I were stoked to find out that we were getting a new gourmet burger joint in the neighborhood. Tonight, our friend let us know she was already on the way to Bun & Patti, and we instantly pivoted our dinner plans to join her. And we're glad we did. Our experience at Bun & Patti was simply phenomenal. The staff, service, decor and everything about tonight was just on point. Hard to believe they've only been open less than a week, and they already got operations running so smoothly. My partner and I each ordered Notorious B&Ps, which had two natural beef patties, lettuce, tomato, sautéed onion - deliciously sautéed, if I must add, pickles, cheddar, a secret sauce all put together between a toasted brioche bun. We're all in alignment that it was really, really good and that it was definitely worth the price tag for this gourmet burger. Our friend got the Let's Patti, and she shared similar sentimental. The Crispy Fries were also fantastic, perfectly cooked and well seasoned. I almost went back to order a second order - yup, they were that good! Overall, we're huge fans. We'll definitely be adding Bun & Patti to the monthly rotation, and/or making it a stop for Happy Hour. I have no doubt they're going to do well here in Little Italy, San Diego.

Yelp
Walked in to a packed soft opening! This new spot opens right on Ketter with roll up doors welcoming passerbys with great music and ambiance. The build out of this restaurant is fun and moody trendy. I tried the Notorious B&P with All Natural-Fed Double Beef Patty, shredded Lettuce, Tomato, Sautéed Onion, Cheddar, and Secret Sauce, on a Toasted Brioche Bun. This burger was stacked! Great portion size and an overall beautiful burger. The patty was to die for! Look at how thick!. I don't know what their secret blend was but it was delicious. This is a must try spot. My friend got the Model burger and devoured it too! Am I the only one that judges based off of how good the fries are? Well I went simple and tried the Crispy fries. Let me tell you. I was not disappointed at all. Each fry was crispy not burnt! Center was soft and light. Perfectly salted. 10/10. Fries tell the truth. Overall these burgers were gourmet, not overly priced, and absolutely delicious. I also was I. Love with the ambiance of the restaurant! It was casual yet classy and so much fun! The music and vibes were great especially paired with a delicious meal. I couldn't help but dance in my seat, burger in hand, fry on deck.
google avatar

William R.

Yelp
I got the Notorious B&P Burger and it was absolutely amazing. Cooked perfectly at a medium rare, the 2 cheeseburger patties were the perfect thickness, very tasty and not overcooked and dry. It was garnished in just enough lettuce, tomato, onion and special sauce. This was a work of art. We're definitely going back to try more entrees!

Dorth B.

Yelp
The most amazing burger I have ever had. Have been back few times since we discovered this place just because the Smoke Show Burger is one of the kind. Simply burger paradise. The service is top-notch with a very attentive friendly staff. Dinning was a delight from start to finish. The delicious food, impeccable service, and charming ambiance made for a memorable experience. Has become the favorite spot in town for us.
google avatar

Yelp
Spectacular burgers, awesome service, and one of the nicest owners in town. Couple items to note: they now have full liquor, they do trivia on Tuesday's, and the owner was a GM for one of the Wynn restaurant. He knows his stuff, he's on his game, menu continually expanding, and did I mention he is one heck of a guy! He's earned my business the good old fashioned way. Great food and service.

Yelp
I love this new burger joint in little Italy! This cute spot offers both indoor and outdoor dining in a modern/ trendy environment. I go here for my burger and salad and sweets cravings. Everything is so fresh. The service is also incredible and feels truly proud to work there. Overall the best burger..and salad in little Italy!

Yelp
I was searching for a gluten free burger and came across this joint on Yelp. A gluten free burger specifically on the menu? SOLD. My partner and I arrived around 8:30pm on a Saturday night and there were only 2 other small groups seated - we were surprised they weren't more busy but we learned they recently opened a few months ago! The burger was the BEST burger I've had in SD and my non gluten-free partner agreed. The ingredients were standard and simple, but each ingredient tasted EXTREMELY fresh with the perfect proportions. I got The Model (the amount of avocado was generous!) & my partner got the Notorious B&P. We felt like the burger should be at least $2-3 more due to the quality alone. It's definitely a messier burger to eat but I'm not complaining! I saw a previous review from a month ago mentioning the service. They must have taken note because the service was great! Our server was efficient and attentive, the food came out quickly, and someone who I believe is the owner swung by to check on us to make sure everything was great. The interior is dimly lit with a lot of black & red in a trendy kind of way. It's on the smaller side and I could totally see this place turning into a great place to meet up for drinks later once they start serving liquor (currently just beer & wine - they're working on it!). We feel like this place is definitely gonna blow up so I'm glad we got to eat it while it wasn't super busy! We will for sure be back.

Yelp
Visited bun & patti recently to try some of their cocktails and appetizers and they were delicious! It is located in the heart of Little Italy, making it a very fun and vibrant area. I tried their classic margarita and their spritzer and both were fantastic. Definitely a go to spot for burgers, american style appetizers, and classic drinks!
google avatar

Yelp
We noticed this place when walking to Zinque for brunch the other day and decided to come back and try it. Apparently this is a brand new eatery, offering burgers and other American fare with a modest bar menu, hip decor and a cozy ambience. There were several TV showing sporting events (Go Heat!) and the noise level was moderate. We got burgers, fries, rings and brussels, everything was tasty and they graciously accommodated my request for a lettuce wrap on my burger (I'm not Keto, but reached my goal weight eliminating flour in my diet, it works great!). We will definitely be back and I will be trying the surf and turf, a burger with lump cramp meat, yum!

Yelp
Amazing burgers and great customer service! Hidden gem in little Italy. It's a smaller establishment but the quality is more than you can ask for.

Yelp
Great ambiance from the jump...this is brand new and really feels like a cool bar/resto in a NYC or Philly. We sat at the bar and dove into the menu and picked out natures scrub brush salad aka kale and that was fantastic...then we evened it out with onion rings and the fancy $18 burger under the dome. It was worth every penny and it was love at first bite. Service was fantastic and we will be back as the meal was memorable and overall vibe was spot on...

Super disappointing. I got the fried cauliflower which was bland and mostly covered in batter. I also got the Taste of the South chicken sandwich and was even more disappointed. The inside of the bun was burnt and the chicken was so dry it was difficult to chew. It also had about half the coleslaw shown on their pictures (which was actually really good) and 2 pickles which again was disappointing. It was also pretty small so if you're going to go for a chicken sandwich, you'd be better off going to crack shack across the street.

Yelp
Wow! Incredible experience! Where to start... Ambiance was nice, good music, not so loud I couldn't hear myself think or speak. Dining room was clean and neat, well kept. Bathrooms were super clean & tidy, warm water from the touch free faucets. As far as the food, burger was awesome! Super juicy and moist, lot of flavor, great presentation, the whole package! We found out the buns come fresh every day from a bakery in LA. Absolutely hate it when a burger bun falls apart as I'm eating the burger but this bun was top notch! The onion rings were crispy and tasty! The fries were awesome as well! We ordered the Notorious B&P and my wife ordered the sliders. Only downside of the whole experience was they were sold out of the sliders, so our server came to tell us the bad news and without us needing to ask, offered to cut it up in smaller pieces for my wife so it would be similar to the sliders. He also brought out a complimentary order of fries to help make up for it and did all this without us needing to ask for anything! That's great customer service and it's so rare these days! Have not had customer service like this anywhere in a long time! Come to find out Elion, our server and his wife are the owners. Elion, train all your servers just like you treated us tonight and your establishment will be a massive success! You'll stand out head and shoulders above the competition before your customers ever take a bite! Definitely will be back!

Yelp
Solid new burger joint. I agree with the other reviews about not being a fan of the black and red neon menu, the colors made it hard to read. But beyond that I enjoyed my experience. There wasn't too many people on a rainy Sunday evening which was fine with me. Food is ordered at the front and you do the rest, including water and seating. I had the Let's Patti which felt like a classic burger you get when it's your first time and you don't know what to get. The patty does have the dry aged beef kind of juicy, umami taste and soft texture which was great. It was just a touch too salty in my opinion, but this is easily overcome with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Also comes with a couple of pickles which I'm not a fan of, but they're fresh as well for those who do like them. The bun was extra soft which I loved. My friend also had truffle fries, which were thin and crispy as fries should be when truffle is involved. Once again when you get to the bottom the seasoning is again a bit too salty, but most of it is very enjoyable when it's more mixed around. I would come again.

Yelp
Totally stumbled into this place on a walk through the area but it was AWESOME. Great prices, service, ambiance, food and energy! Absolutely loved the menu and it's obvious there was a lot of thought put into the dishes and details. Such a good burger and fries-- will definitely come back

Yelp
We visited Bun & Patti because we were taking our friend for sliders on his birthday and the place we had planned to eat had their kitchen closed. We ended up here and I'm glad we did. I liked that the burger and the sliders were a reasonable size and had simple ingredients that tasted great. We ordered one order of fries to share and normally the amount that came would have fed me but half worked for me. I enjoyed everything I ate. I don't think the iced tea was fresh brewed, but it wasn't bad. Service was fine. You do need to ask for your bill. It had a cute decor and nice vibe. I would recommend to anyone in the Little Italy looking for a yummy no frills burger.

Yelp
So yummy and the best service! We stopped by here on a Saturday and we had a great time. We got the taste of the south and the surf and turf burger and a side of truffle fries. Every thing was delicious and they were super nice to our dog who's joined us. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
Going to add to the deliciousness of reviews...great burgers all around, I had the Double P I think is called, the let's Pattie's, the surf and turf and the big smoke....everyone enjoyed their food. Despite a mishap, our waiter was on top of it!!!! Great ambiance, great music vibe and best of all, great FOOD!!!

Yelp
Why get a burger? Toppings toppings toppings. I've never ordered a plain hamburger in my life. Ordered their double patty burger with extra pickles. Pickles are my thing. Fries as well since I always need a french fry with each bite of my burger. I believe they called them crispy or crunchy fries which infers....well crispy. Soon as I pick them up, grabbed a few fries and they were mushy. Strike one. Got my food home tossed my mushy fries into my convection oven and took a bite of my burger. Not very hot but that was OK but the two patties were a little dry. And strike three coincidentally matches the number of pickle slices they put on my burger. I asked for extra pickles and I got three little pickle wedges. Even McDonald's gives you four or five without asking. Pickles are my jam. I even have attached the receipt that says I ordered extra pickles. Kind of sad because they are fairly close to me and the only reason I haven't gone here prior to tonight was there's no parking nearby. Clearly the cooks didn't pay attention. Oh Notorious B & P was the burger

Yelp
My husband and I split this entire order, with exception of the drinks. We ordered the Smoke show burger, wedge salad, fries, and, cocktails. The salad was simple and delicious, just the way I like it! The fries tasted fresh and were just as expected. The burger arrived under a show of smoke, that's when we realized we were not asked how we wanted it cooked...bummer! The burger was a bit on the salty side, I wanted to mention it to the server however he never came by to ask how everything tasted. The table beside us ordered shakes and they looked tasty! The ambiance is great. Undecided if we will return and try something else.
