"This family-run shop is tucked away in a narrow alley. It takes a little effort to find, but you’ll well be rewarded by tasty beef noodle soups. First-timers may go for bún bò thập cẩm (mixed beef noodle soup), a great way to sample all four toppings of beef and pork, boasting robust meaty flavours. The sweet broth with great depth is made from beef meat and bones alongside herbs like lemongrass. Add a dollop of chilli sauce for added whoomph." - Michelin Inspector

The MY World

Google
It's Bun Bo Hue Noodle shop, which was selected as "selected" by Michelin. The shop is located on the very small street and you can park your motorbike at next wider street. The shop is very small comparing to the popularity, so you may have a seat with someone. It's quite normal in Vietnam. Anyway the Bun noodle looks very simple and normal, but the soup and meat were really nice. Simply it tastes very good. The price was 45KVND. The value for the price was also really good here.

Very authentic experience, shop was mostly filled with locals. But no issues with ordering because they had a semi English menu ready. Broth was tasty, be sure to add some lime and chilli! The noodles came with a bowl of lard (i think?) and I mimicked the locals by pairing one piece with a big mouth of noodles. Yum!

10/10 — hands down the BEST place for Bún Bò Huế. I like to think of myself as a bit of an expert when it comes to this dish, and I had to order a second bowl just to confirm how good it really was. It definitely lives up to its Michelin star from 2024. The space is tight, so expect some heat —but trust me, the food more than makes up for it.

Rarely do I give max stars for service and atmosphere when it comes to street food, but this place is worth a visit. It’s a super small spot and pretty hot, but the service was excellent. “Mỡ nổi” (which I guess translates to ‘floating fat’? Haha, not sure) is the signature part of their beef noodles here. It’s fatty, but it doesn’t taste greasy or heavy. You can see it in the small bowl in the picture. It didn’t look all that appealing, but the taste? Nice, nice, nice. 10/10/10! Also, rich broth soup.

This is exactly the original taste i have taste when visiting HUE. Soup is nice, staff are friendly. Hidden in small alley, small place with limited table but no long waiting as ppl come and finish eating fast. Must try! Is in michelin guide 2024! Nice taste in good price.

Really good local vietnamese food in HCMC - tried #1 and #6. It's hidden in one of the alleys in the back market street. Come early, lunch crowd comes in starting ~1150 !

Food rating note: Average - 2.5/5 My comfort food - 5/5 Not easy to locate. The shop is situated in a narrow backlane. Not my bowl of bun bo hue. Those who like cartilage, tendon, and chewy fat may like it. The soup was on the lighter side. The meal was a 3/5

Lost in the alleyways of Saigon we found this unique restaurant hidden away from the busy streets. Our drive there was as exciting as the experience inside. The place offered not only a very special Vietnamese dish but also a homely feeling to us. The food was amazing, but the service is 5 out of 5. The people were incredibly kind and friendly. We love it. While the place looks dated and rustic the kindness of the people in there wholy make up for it. We left not only with the satisfaction of having good food with good price but also a wholesome feeling. Don’t take too much chili though, very hot.
