Bún Bò Huế Mỡ Nổi Cô Như

There is a reason this place is in the Michelin guide 2025. It is just phenomenal. I've been there three times over two visits to HCMC and honestly all three times were memorable. The soup is just rich in flavor. Add to that thick rice noodles, morsels of tendon and other tasty bits, a side of gristle in fat that you dip in vinegar, and of course the freshly steamed sprouts and fresh greens, and you have a bowl of perfection. Did I mention there is a killer (and spicy) chili oil on the side to see some kick? All this for 45,000 vnd (about $1.75 USD)...what more could you want I'm a bowl of noodles?

Defs deserving of the Michelin recognition 2 years running! Awesome Bun Bo great flavours and selection of toppings. The sate and fish sauce was boss. Broth fragrant and packed full of flavour!

It's Bun Bo Hue Noodle shop, which was selected as "selected" by Michelin. The shop is located on the very small street and you can park your motorbike at next wider street. The shop is very small comparing to the popularity, so you may have a seat with someone. It's quite normal in Vietnam. Anyway the Bun noodle looks very simple and normal, but the soup and meat were really nice. Simply it tastes very good. The price was 45KVND. The value for the price was also really good here.

Very authentic experience, shop was mostly filled with locals. But no issues with ordering because they had a semi English menu ready. Broth was tasty, be sure to add some lime and chilli! The noodles came with a bowl of lard (i think?) and I mimicked the locals by pairing one piece with a big mouth of noodles. Yum!

Man this place was packed. I thought the Bun Bo was good. The price is affordable because they give you slightly less meat than other places. They do offer extra fat in a small bowl for more flavor if you can handle it. Not a bad experience but I’d hate to have to wait to be seated so avoid peak hours.

Best bun bo hue in saigon, love the broth here. The sellers are super friendly as well. Waiting time is about 5-10 mins if you’re going here for dinner.

The restaurant is tucked away in a small alley, but just follow Google Maps and you’ll find it. Lots of locals eat here, the prices are super cheap, and the food is flavorful. The meat is tender and juicy, and the owner can speak English, which makes ordering easy.

10/10 — hands down the BEST place for Bún Bò Huế. I like to think of myself as a bit of an expert when it comes to this dish, and I had to order a second bowl just to confirm how good it really was. It definitely lives up to its Michelin star from 2024. The space is tight, so expect some heat —but trust me, the food more than makes up for it.
