"In business for over five decades, it is now run by the third-generation owner. The sign indicates the house speciality – bún chả cá, or fishcake noodle soup. Springy and flavoursome, their house-made deep-fried and steamed fishcakes deserve all the attention they get. But extra tuna, mackerel, crab cake and crab balls make the noodle soup even better. clean, yum, and premium street food: noodle soups with fish, crab balls, tuna … see photo menu (feb 2026) below. michelin listed 2025/26. the soup (broth) has a mild, but distinct taste; among others a touch of pineapple. grab a bottled home made aloe vera drink or others from the fridge next to the aquarium.

Amazing broth but only when you add the lime, picked onions & spicy minced garlic (and a bit of the fermented shrimp paste)!!! Not a big onion/garlic person so ate majority of my bowl without it and thought it was just ok, like an oden / yong tau foo soup given that it’s slightly sweet with lots of fishcakes, but when I added it, that’s when the broth really became very tasty! Fishcakes have a nice bite, not spongy & soft. Goes well with the chilli sauce! Not quite a fan of the bun rieu, so would recommend just the normal one.

Very local place, we ordered fish ball and crab ball noodle, we like the texture of the noodle which we’d never had that in else where. The soup is tasty and also never tried this taste of soup as well. Perfect for a quick lunch and have a taste of one of the signature noodle in Da Nang.

Very delicious bun cha ca. This place is Michelin recommended and I can see why. The broth is sweet and not fishy. Great amount of cha ca and vegetables. They have additional toppings on the table. My favorite is the pickled shallots.

Ordered the #2 in the bestseller list, the only michelin place I ate at during my trip. Tastes really good, staff were nice and the place is quiet when i visit around 2pm.

I liked this place and it served pretty good bun cha the one with crab ball and paste was alright, it came with a lot of fish cakes but only one crab ball. The crab paste was non existent. I would recommend going for the other types of dishes (like the ones with the whole fish)

I enjoyed an excellent first experience with Fish Cake Noodle Soup in Da Nang. The flavour was exceptional, particularly after adding the toppings on the table as advised by the restaurant owner. An English menu is conveniently available on the wall. My order was noodles with fish balls, crab balls, and crab meat. The Black Rice Yogurt dessert is also highly recommended.
