For our first visit, we arrived at 8 PM on a Friday, only to find the place already closed. Fortunately, we encountered a staff member who kindly explained that they had to close earlier due to selling out (Google listed their closing time as 8:30 PM).
Determined to try their food, we returned on Sunday around 2:30 PM and finally got to experience it—and wow, it was worth the wait! Their Bun Cha is absolutely delicious. Among all the Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants we've tried in Saigon, this one truly stands out.
The dish is straightforward: noodles, vegetables, spring rolls, meatballs, and grilled pork, with the sauce as an optional seasoning. Despite its simplicity, it tasted incredibly fresh and "clean."
As someone who isn't a big meat eater, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the grilled pork and meatballs (which you can order extra!).
With only one dish on the menu, you know they’ve perfected it. Most of the customers were locals, and the high volume of takeout orders confirmed its authenticity. The fewer tourists, likely due to its less accessible location, made it feel even more like a hidden gem.
The staff were friendly and welcoming. We complimented one of the owners serving the bowls, and his warm smile was a lovely touch.
Sad that we only got to try this place on our last day. If we had found it earlier, we would have definitely come back at least a couple more times.
Two thumbs up!
