Bungalow Bowls Boardwalk

My boyfriend and I shared a 24oz Asbury Avenue smoothie while we walk down the boardwalk. It was really tasty in a healthy way, like you can taste all the fruit and feel super refreshed! It’s not super sweet at all, just the way we like our smoothies. And for 7.99, we felt like it was a decent deal especially for food on the boardwalk.

great service, staff is always so friendly and accommodating allowing you to customize bowls to your liking!! would definitely recommend if you’re craving something sweet and refreshing!

Every time we come to New Jersey this is a must-stop. The service is always great and the food is fresh. The only thing I would recommend is updating their merchandise. The clothes the staff had on were so cute but they didn't have them on their website.

The fruit in this acai bowl was possibly the best and sweetest Pineapple and mango I've had to date. I've been to places like mango mango who specialize in good mangos and it has nothing on these. The bananas were also incredible. Super filling and big portions! Totally worth it!

Bungalow Bowls is always one of my first stops on the boardwalk! Their smoothies are always fantastic but the vegan soft serve is a serious treat! My toddler loves their smoothies as well

Absolutely love this place! I stop by everytime I’m near this location, their service is phenomenal. Even though the girls are extremely busy with orders, they manage to quickly complete orders. I even witnessed a couple get the wrong size smoothie and the girls immediately fixed it.

Best bowls on the boards! Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. They even gave my puppy a little cup of peanut butter. I got the purple haze and it was fresh and delicious. 10/10 recommend- I’ll be back !

Most delicious bowls on the Boardwalk. Don't sleep on this spot and don't waste your money on the other places. Many different delicious base options & toppings galore!!!! Great service, friendly staff and the cutest little shop that is so bright and colorful.

I just discovered Bungalow Bowls this year and wish I had discovered it sooner. It is a great place for healthy choices and great for allergies and dietary restrictions. There isn't seating, but I take my food to go to eat on the beach anyways. It is cute and colorful inside with plenty of space to wait for your food. They also have picture frames displaying the local artists that did the murals inside. I love that they seem to support the local community. I got the vegan soft serve almost every night I was there on vacation. It is delicious! I also got two of their avocado toasts for lunch--their 54-46, which has pickled shallots and pea shoots on it, and Shakedown Street, which is just avocado toast with everything bagel seasoning. At first I felt a little silly about paying for something I often make myself, but it is a very convenient and filling beach lunch, and it is only $6 for one piece of toast. The bread is locally made and there is a very large serving of fresh avocado on it, so it is a good value. I loved the one with pickled shallots. I also have a very severe dairy allergy, and I felt safe eating here. All their soft-serve is vegan, so I didn't have to worry about cross-contamination. I went at a busy time for lunch, and I had to ask a lot of questions, and the employees were super nice and took the time to check that the bread for the avocado toast was milk-free. Great service and great food! I look forward to going back. The only thing that was odd to me is that they have no vegan ice cream cones, even though all their ice cream is vegan. They are very upfront about this, and it doesn't hurt their rating for me, but it would be fun to be able to get an ice cream cone, and that isn't possible if you are strictly vegan or have allergies.

For three years now, Bungalow Bowls has become my favorite mid-day meal choice. Refreshing, flavorful, high quality ingredients, and healthy: what more could you want during your Ocean City boardwalk experience? Located right across from the music pier, Bungalow Bowl has great seating for folks who want to chill on-site or run over to the numerous benches on music pier instead of going back to their beach chairs. Convenient! The menu is fantastic! There are coffees, smoothies, and other treats to choose from, but we always stick with the scrumptious bowls. They typically have four bases (Açaí, Pitaya, Green Spinach, and Blue Majik) for the bowls (they had a 5th today: Coconut) with at least four different kinds of bowls per base. So many wonderful varieties of healthy deliciousness! I got the Santa Barbara Green Spinach Bowl: granola, banana, strawberries, blueberries, coconut flakes, and honey drizzle. My husband got the Here Comes the Sun Blue Majik Bowl: granola, kiwi, mango, banana, and honey drizzle. We LOVED them both. And not only were they refreshing and healthy...but we were pleasantly full afterwords. So perfect. And for the boardwalk, the bowls are pretty reasonably priced for the high quality ingredients and portion size: $10. Staff are attentive, helpful, and speedy (as speedy as one can be when putting together a fruit-filled edible art piece. You will need to wait...totally worth it!). And the ambiance inside is fun-filled with wonderful posters of classic musicians. All this to say: after 3 years of Bungalow Bowl lunch visits during our time at the Ocean City Boardwalk, I fully expect many more future visits in the years to come. Loyal customer of Bungalow and very dissatisfied after the visit today. I ordered ahead of time and when I got there I followed the instructions and went to the window with my name. The girl at the window was dismissive to me and never checked for my order. So I waited another 15 or so minutes and saw multiple orders being sent off. I went back up to check and this time a different worker went and checked the fridge, where my order had been sitting. Got in my car and took the lid off with melted açaí pouring everywhere from sitting for the last 20 minutes. They also must have ran out of mango, yet didn't tell me or substitute with a different fruit. Overall poor customer service

I absolutely loved this place more than I could say. It was a great alternative if you want something a little healthier on the Boardwalk than the typical ice cream and fried stuff. It is also a great option if you're vegan or have some dietary conditions. I have a chronic stomach condition, and it truly was a godsend throughout my trip. I got the green base which was absolutely delicious. The portions were huge; I didn't even finish the entire bowl. I also thought that the prices were really reasonable. Overall, a great option if you're on the beach! :))

Worth the money for the big portions and fresh and healthy ingredients. I added almond butter to the deep water bowl. The blue base is amazing and most bowl places around this area don't have it. Next they should try to do a matcha base!

This place is a nice change of pace from all the junk food that is on the boardwalk. The location is clean, staff is friendly. They have a really nice variety of options. I had the "Island in the Sun", the base consisted of "blue majik". I'm not even sure what it was but it tasted great. The fruit, oatmeal and honey tasted great too. Prices are perhaps a little on the steep side but I suppose fair as everything seemed rather fresh.

All I can say is OMG! During our last visit to OC, we had 3 kinds of toast (Shakedown, Sgt. Pepper and Strawberry Fields), vegan soft serve on 2 occasions, the Good Vibes Açaí bowl as well as the Out of Control bowl. Each was yummy and amazing in it's own right. My husband who is a loyal customer of Ove's Donuts and would eat them every day if I let him, actually said the Out of Control bowl was the best thing he had at the shore this year. Yes, friends, something HEALTHY actually beat out the heavenly deliciousness of those sweet rounds of fried dough that get dredged through icing every morning on 4th Street. If that alone doesn't convince you to try Bungalow Bowl, I don't know what will! If you do try it, you won't be disappointed. In fact, I guarantee that you'll come to love everything I adore about this place. Love the vibe (chill but efficient), love the menu offerings, love that this location is proximate to "my" beach so I can enjoy healthy snackage when tanning. Love that the counter help is always upbeat, friendly and conversant. They know their product line well and are able to offer suggestions and answer questions throughly. The only downsides to BB that I can see are that they've cut their hours at the end of the season, making it impossible to get a daily dose of vegan soft serve after 4 PM and that they have no current plans to open up a store near me.

If you haven't tried their vegan swirl yet you are missing out!! This stuff is the truth! I have never had anything close to it before and that's even after living many years in Los Angeles (where vegan food is much more prominent). It most definitely will exceed your expectations!

Hands down my favorite thing to eat when in Ocean City is the One Love bowl at Bungalow!! When I am home in PA I actually daydream about this bowl. Our family all has their favorite but everything from this place is amazingly delicious. Fresh healthy ingredients and a great beachy vibe.

got the surf road smoothie. it was horrible, didnt taste good the texture was strange and the smoothie wasnt cold. it was like sucking cottage cheese out of a straw.

Service was fast. Island in the sun bowl was seriously great. Filling too. Employees were sweet. The playlist of 2010 music made me so happy while I enjoyed my bowl. Such a nice vibe! Best place to get smoothie bowls on the island.

I ordered the vegan brownie batter soft serve on a cone. It was so good and I would definitely recommend - even over a regular soft serve because of the yummy flavor . Will be back a again!! Love this place .

Had two lines so the service was pretty fast. Ordered the Santeria with added blueberries. Acai base was sweet and and did not taste watered down like some other places. Fruits were also fresh and was a good ratio to the base. Overall, perfect treat to end the day.

Bungalow Bowls has delicious smoothie bowls! No matter how long the line is, it always moves quickly. Very efficient service! Never lets me down!
