Tucked away in a cozy corner in Little Tokyo, Bungraze doesn't just serve burgers--it serves culinary ingenuity sandwiched between slices of house-made focaccia. Yes, you read that right. These aren't your average buns. They're fluffy, herby focaccia masterpieces that elevate the entire burger experience to something truly special.
Inside it's a quaint vibe like a solid burger spot. Great to find the great burgers you're looking for and still feel a bit of old school vibe. One recommendation I'd make is to change all of the white lights in the interior. It's cheap and it will make these burger pictures look MUCH BETTER.
During our visit, we had the pleasure of meeting Sarita, the matriarch, who proudly shared stories of her son--the mastermind behind this burger haven. Owner-operators always win my heart, and the dynamic duo running Bun Graze are no exception. Their passion for quality and community shines through every bite.
Now, let's talk fries, because these aren't mere sidekicks. The Truffle Curry Fries were a highlight with their crisp, golden edges and bold seasoning featuring curry leaves. While I didn't pick up much of the truffle, I didn't mind one bit--they were utterly delicious and paired perfectly with everything else on the table.
As for the stars of the show:
The OMG Burger: This was a tower of indulgence, crowned with jalapeños, crispy onion rings, and a generous drizzle of creamy sauce. It hit all the right notes with a fiery kick balanced by rich, savory goodness.
The Sungraze Burger: This beauty was a classic-with-a-twist masterpiece. Juicy patties, melted cheese, fresh lettuce and tomato, all hugged by that glorious focaccia bun. Every bite was pure comfort food bliss.
Oh, and here's the kicker: Bungraze serves breakfast all day long. That's right--burgers and breakfast in one go. It's like they read my foodie dreams and turned them into reality.
Whether you're in the mood for something bold and creative or just want to indulge in a feast that'll leave you planning your next visit before you've even left, Bungraze is the spot. Trust me, once you go focaccia, you'll never go back.
