I swear that they put crack in the sandwiches, cuz they are so damn good! Great local meats and the best Kaiser rolls used for many of the creative takes on classic sandwiches. The breakfast sandwiches are among my favorite. I always find the staff friendly and fast, and they always get my special requests nailed, too (egg over hard, yolk broke). GO HERE!

So freaking delicious! I had the Cuban and was not disappointed. Their cookies are great too, they taste homemade. Nice and soft. It's a cute little space, with retro diner accents around. Service was fast and they were very nice.

Can you build a better sandwich?? YES!! It's nuts, but they have taken the ubiquitous sandwich and managed to make it memorable. Noteworthy. Worth a special trip. Sourcing different breads from different bakeries, and fresh ingredients, the hype, buzz, etc.. is all true. The food is delicious.

Thought I found a Cuban sandwich that would replace the ones I've been missing from home, Tampa Florida. To my disappointment, I'll have to keep searching. Ordered the Pork Belly Cubano Sandwich and was so excited. But one bite and it was disappointing. For one, isn't there any place in the Portland area where you can find real Cuban bread? It was on French bread, not bad, but not the same. The amount of pork on the sandwich was quite slim also, and kind of dry. Sure didn't think it was worth $10. I miss the food from home, when I ordered a Cuban sandwich, they pile on the pork which is dripping with juices. I will go back because I want to try their meatball sandwich. I don't have high expectations though, I really think the Tampa Bay area in Florida blows Portland away as far as good food goes.

Yes... word around Portland is true: Bunk Sandwiches are amazing!!! I have dreams at night, and cravings in the day, about the chicken salad sandwich. Also, it is entirely true that one breakfast sandwich can be THAT much better than the others... grand central bread, top quality sharp cheddar and organic eggs = totally gratified for the entire day. Scared of the line out the door? Don't be! Bunk is smart and prepared to have you in and out (including the short wait) in less time than most places can prepare a takeout meal.

The best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. Get it New England style with bacon. The Kaiser roll is right on the egg is runny. It's so good. I would literally drive 3 hours to eat one (and do). The sad news is this location has closed. Can't believe it (even Portland is changing... don't become Seattle, please)

Bunk, in all it's glory and reputation could easily be overshadowed by the numerous food hot spots in Portland, but it isn't, in fact, Bunk continues to be a landmark in each neighborhood its multiple locations reside. The place really is that good. Likes: Very artsy interior featuring large, tasteful murals, stellar food, friendly staff Dislikes: not a single thing

I have to say, when I first came here, I wasn't expecting much. It looked like any other regular sandwich place. However, when I noticed that they had something called a Pork Belly Cubano, I started to realize this was not your ordinary sandwich joint. While the space itself was cramped and it took a while for the sandwich to made, it was definitely worth the wait. The Pork Belly Cubano was probably the best sandwich I've had in Portland. It was savory and delicious, and it took every ounce of willpower to not inhale the entire sandwich. I would definitely come here again for the Pork Belly Cubano.
