"Elizabeth and Kitsune chef/owner Iliana Regan is closer to reopening her popular Bunny The Micro Bakery in North Center as donors far surpassed the goal for her Kickstarter. At publication time it has amassed $24,464 in funding after only asking for $18,000. Regan plans to convert a portion of her Kitsune space into the bakery for breakfast and lunch hours nearly three years after Bunny’s original location closed in East Lakeview." - Daniel Gerzina

"Bunny The Micro Bakery lasted three months in Lakeview before it closed in April 2016, but the charming pastries, including a memorable foie gras toast, had many Chicagoans asking Regan about a return. She plans to transform a portion of her North Center restaurant, Kitsune, to the bakery for breakfast and lunch hours." - Ashok Selvam

Everyone is buzzing about the newest addition to Chicago’s donut scene—Bunny, The Micro Bakery. Besides being completely adorable, Bunny is the tiny “sequel” to Elizabeth Restaurant. Donuts are just one of the many gourmet offerings of this new foodie breakfast mecca. You can also indulge in foie gras toast, house-made cereal, and other menu items with locally-sourced ingredients.

For those that have been to Elizabeth, it exudes the same kind of feeling, but is casual enough that it doesn't scare you off. Mushroom tea with chamomile is a great savory drink, and you can't go wrong with the toast.

The Canelé de Bordeaux (small pastries resembling burnt miniature bundt cakes) are absolutely amazing here.
