Buns Burgers

An incredible spot for burgers! This may be one of the best burgers I've had. The meat patty was amazingly seasoned, and perfectly cooked to medium. The cheese added a nice flavor and was melted evenly. The bun was soft and toasty. The fries had a light crisp and seasoned well. The cookie and cream shake was delightful and rich. There's a limited amount of seating. The service was great and the food was amazing.

What a great double burger. So tasty, they said best burgers in town, I had to try it. I am very happy. I had lettuce, tomato and pickle. Thank you

Burgers and chicken sandwiches are delish. The lamb burger is truly tasty, and each sandwich has a very balanced flavor profile that packs a nice punch. Great place for tasty burgers and fries with a small town feel.

We love Bun! Their burgers, chicken sandwich, hot dogs, and fries are amazing. They also have great milkshakes…we usually have their flavor of the week like churro, mint chip, or chocolate caramel brownie. The service is top notch h and it’s fun watching everyone cook in the kitchen. The restaurant has always been clean when we’ve been in and the trays that the food are served on are really cool.

Great experience! This was our first time there and won’t be our last. Food was delicious, relaxed atmosphere. We stayed for some time, as there was a lot of take out orders and plenty of space open. We did not feel rushed or like we were a bother for chatting, so that was really nice. Would 10/10 recommend.

I have been to this location many times and love the food. I wanted to write this review because I ordered a pick up order through the app and accidentally, and unknowingly, selected the wrong location by mistake. The Buns staff was more than accommodating and helped me fix my mistake at no additional charge. I appreciate the Buns staff and can’t wait to stop by and eat another delicious meal in the future especially knowing that the staff will help out in any way they can.

Buns Burgers is hands down the best burger spot around! The burgers are cooked to perfection juicy, flavorful, and always fresh. The buns are soft but sturdy, and the toppings are top-notch. Don’t sleep on the crispy, golden fries or thick, creamy milkshakes either. Whether dining in or taking out, they never miss. Highly recommend!

The boys got burgers and dogs but the veggie stack is for me. It was so so good! Sliced mushrooms, sweet potato with crispy Swiss and an avocado-bean spread. The salad was lightly dressed and also very good. The boys loved their burgers and the big bucket of fries! In a matter of fact, they kept reordering them The hubby also got the "dirty" hot dogs but he said they were nothing to write home about. All in all the place is great. The tables are a bit small but the staff is kind and friendly. I heard they're opening another Buns in Eastdale and I'm sure they will do well.

Delicious and simple food cooked to order. Ingredients are fresh and menu is not overwhelming. The interior is pretty stark, but pleasant. You order at the counter and then either pick your food up or they bring it to you. There is a soda machine and I think a few alcoholic options to choose from. The menu consists of burgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, and fries. They have really good milkshakes, but no other dessert to choose from. You cannot get your burgers cooked the particular way, e.g. medium or medium rare. Overall, good food at pretty reasonable prices. Worth a visit for a quick meal or with kids.

Passing through Rhinebeck, and I typically try to try things that I can't get anywhere else. I saw the dirty bird and I was excited to try. To be honest, it was okay. The potential was there with the ingredients, the execution of the flavor was disappointing. The whole sandwich lacked seasoning and the slaw almost mimicked the consistency of apple sauce. No acidity or crunch to cut the richness of the cheese. from the I will say you can't go wrong with fresh cut fries and they didn't disappoint! But I didn't try the everything on the menu so I can't say these stars cover the whole place. Sweet servers.

So many fly's at the tables all the time with no apparent attempt to make it better. I've been 6 times and fly's all year round. I won't come back even though the food is tast

Order a burger medium rare with bacon the burger was overcooked, bacon was burnt and bun was burnt paying 19 for a burger and fries you think it would atleast be able to enjoy it without burnt flavors ....

As a pescatarian, I'm always on the lookout for great veggie and seafood burgers. My mom and I are both on vacation, and we're in Kingston for the day. This was not only my first time seeing this spot in Kingston, it was my first time trying this franchise. The restaurant is adorable inside, and is very comfortable. Since there were barely any people in when we had went (we went in as soon as they opened), we got helped right away. Within a few minutes, our food came. As part of the $13.95 lunch special, you get your choice of burger, fries and decent sized fountain drink. They serve Boylan's brand drinks, which are always delicious, and I also like that they're made with more natural ingredients. I got the lemonade to drink, as well as the Veggie Stacker to eat. I'm not usually a fan of sweet potato, but I have to admit, it worked well on this sandwich. All the flavors combined perfectly to create something absolutely delicious. This spot is great, especially when you're someone on a budget who doesn't want to skimp on quality. Definitely would recommend!

The lamb burger! Full of flavor and delicious with every bite. Enjoy with a milkshake and/or a nice brew. The restaurant is a very intimate setting, service was cordial and attentive. Love the chicken nuggets, that are actually nice chunks of meat with a little kick of heat.

Great burgers and fries served on metal trays when you eat in. Milk shakes and Boylan's fountain drinks are also available. Friendly staff will take your order and then bring it to your seat. I loved my simple original bun. The sauce gave a unique kick making it something special and worth the trip (I traveled 70 miles to try it).

New to area. On recommendation, went online to make order. Order placed, pick time given via automatic message ( date/time etc). Arrived promptly, no lines, 2 seated at a table. Picked up brown bag with my name, asked for cup for beverage and went to grab a french fry.. ICE COLD... Asked if I would be able to have new fries. " Your order was at 12:36pm, that's why they are cold". I proceeded to show said employee that my automated pick up time was 1pm... From screen shot of my order. An eye roll later and a few minutes I was handed my bag... I say thank you, walk out... Fries are old, hard and not fresh. Not going back, sorry. p.s. Not about the French fries

Great burgers, simple yet perfect menu. Son had a simple cheeseburger. I had the lamb burger. We split a shake. Service was great, they even offered an extra cup for the shake since we were splitting. Clean inside and out. Great spot!

Nice little burger spot in downtown area. Visiting from jersey we took a walk around town and stumbled upon buns burgers. The fries are freaking amazing and the burgers are solid with their own sauce but the fries stole the show. We also got the chocolate chip shake which was also good. Staff is very friendly as well. Overall very good burger spot

Food was good but floors were dangerously greasy. like walking on ice, even in the bathroom. won't go back

While traveling through Rhinebeck we were looking for a place to grab some lunch that had some outdoor seating because we had our dog with us. We saw that this place had good reviews so we decided to try it out. We got the original burger lunch special that came with fries and a drink. We also saw a small sign at the counter advertising chicken nuggets so we tried those as well. They had boylan's fountain drinks that we were really excited about. We tried a small amount of each flavor and the black Cherry was my favorite. The burger was just ok for me. As a place advertised as a 'hidden gem burger joint' I guess I was expecting them to be a little better. The fries were pretty good as well. The chicken nuggets though were so disgusting. They were like dark gristly meat. I definitely don't recommend those. Overall the experience was fine. The person who took our order/brought us our food was nice. There was a good bit of food for the lunch special cost.

The food here was amazing, I highly recommend it. And I was shocked how good it was. The prices were very fair and there were tons of gluten free options. The service was good, everyone there was very nice. I recommend the dirty bird, it was shockingly good.

I like the burgers but there have been things.....like screaming children( do any places respond to that?), or the counter person going to the person who just walked in when your food is sitting ready to be delivered and there are only two customers waiting, and last time after I ate I went to buy a soda, asked after a particular Boylan's flavor as they aren't listed on the chalkboard, and I was told by the woman there, to go and look at the soda machine for the flavors! And I'm am an elder to her by several decades. A brand new low in hospitality- very likely that's enough to keep me from returning, plus I've lived here a long time and know where else to go. Don't enjoy the front of house- the distracted, 20's air of the counter people, or the seating area.

My boyfriend and I stopped for lunch and it was absolutely fabulous. I'm a vegetarian and the veggie stack was so scrumptious! My bf got the lamb burger and it changed his world lol. The fries were perfectly salted too and the coffee shake is pleasant and strong

Well right away you'll notice that this little burger joints in one of those amazing finds that just litter the Hudson Valley, hiding in an alleyway with a simple, unassuming sign. The interior is industrial farmhouse, which really matches their farm-to-table fast casual vibe. The staff were polite and friendly and the menu is simple and direct. What's not to love? Then you get to the food. These burgers will blow your socks off. I got the veggie stacked with no Swiss cheese to make it vegan. This burger was a flavor explosion. Seriously, I'd love the avocado-bean spread recipe, please! I also got this as part of the lunch combo so it came with a drink and fries. The fries were perfect! Crispy, but not burnt. Well fried, but not oily. Delicious. And the real cane sugar soda I got was refreshing. I hope to go back again! Or maybe check out their sister location in Saurgaties.

Fairly good burgers, though my veggie stack left a lot to be desired. The bun was soggy and cold, the composition not overly well done, the taste was bland and forgettable. Regular burgers were ok though. Somewhat snotty service, not what you'd expect in friendly and fun Kingston.

Sadly no photos...the food looked and smelled so amazing we devoured it before even thinking of taking photos. Second time here and this might just be my fave burger joint in the HV. Love the grass fed meat and really reasonable prices - especially for Rhinebeck. I wolfed down my cheeseburger and hubs also devoured his veggie burger - which includes portobello mushrooms, sweet potatoes, tomato, gruyere, pickled onions and special sauce. Service is pleasant and efficient. Great fries too! I'm def eying one of the chix sammies for next time. The outdoor counter is so cute and offers more seating in nice weather - plus it's covered.

Faster than a lot of fast food joints and excellent quality ingredients. It was a very pleasant surprise that they had gluten free buns that didn't crumble apart This place will be in the rotation for sure.

Went there on Tuesday and got a veggie stacker. My friend said she liked it so I thought I'd give it a try. The avocado bean spread has Mayo so not suitable for vegans, so I had to pay an extra $3 to add plain avocado. I definitely expected the sweet potatoes and mushrooms to be made into a patty, but it's literally "stacked veggies." Very cold, unseasoned, bad tasting cold veggies. The mushrooms and sweet potatoes were both bad, and the rest of the burger was bad too. Their fries are really good, and not worth it for almost $20. The guy who took my order and seemed to be being trained kept touching his face, cleaning his glasses on his shirt, and wiping his nose into his shirt sleeve. Really unpleasant experience and won't be back.

Arguably the best tasting burgers you can get anywhere in the Hudson Valley. They don't travel too well, so I definitely recommend eating them there while they are freshly prepared and hot.

My cousin and I were looking for a fast casual place to eat lunch in Downtown Rhinebeck, and we found it at Buns Burgers. It's really a great place to grab a high quality burger in a nice, hip atmosphere without having a waitress breathing down your neck. While I was there, I started to understand their portion sizing and business model a little better. Their burgers are not huge; however, their prices are ala carte and fair. You can opt to get a double-patty, and then it'll be a larger burger for a little more money. Mine was the Lamb Eater, and I enjoyed a better quality and richer tasting meat. My cousin and I were able to just share the portion of fries. They are not the best burgers ever but are very fair for the price and experience. Buns Burgers is a great place for a burger.

You read things online about how this is great or that is great and that's not always the case. I don't like this intro but it said my review was too short. Anyways, all the rave reviews about this place are true. These burgers are incredible. I need to go back soon.

This place is great. Solid burgers every time. And the lamb burger is really great. Milkshakes are the best around, they use local Adirondack Creamery ice cream and they are stellar. Been there many times and they always get it right.

We had a great lunch at Buns Burgers. My son has celiac and Kyle took such good care of him. He really paid attention to detail and my son, my husband and I really enjoyed it. Cute place. Thank you Kyle!

When one of my friends brought me here I wasn't expecting to be impressed, but wow. Buns is an incredible hole-in-the-wall type of place that's tucked in an alley in Rhinebeck. Always fast service and friendly folk handling orders. They have a limited menu, but don't let that drive you away because they do it WELL. My favorites when I come here are the original double and the dirty bird. Don't skimp out on asking for Buns sauce on everything and for the fries. It's way better than ketchup with everything on the menu. Speaking of which, fries are always well seasoned and have that perfect crisp/soft ratio or whatever it is about fries that make them so good. Their milkshakes are also super thick, rich, and creamy without being too sweet and are perfect to offset the balance of the salty meal. Definitely worth the drive out if you're in the Poughkeepsie area!

Amazing!!! So far the best burger in the Hudson Valley! The Lamb burger was unbeatable, and the straight up house burger hits it out of the park. Not to mention how amazing the fries are!!!! Well worth a drive wherever you are.

This place is great for a causal meal if you're in town. They have delicious burgers, and many other items! The food was ready quickly, and the staff were very friendly. As well as many burgers, they have simple but good salad, grilled and crispy chicken, hot dogs, beer and wine, and the most amazing milkshakes I've ever had! Great place, 5/5 recommend!

Yo...some real talk going on here. Their burgers are GOOD AF. The buns sauce is legendary. Their chicken sandwich, the Yard Birdger, is good...however, their OTHER chicken sandwich, the Dirty Bird is EPIC...and don't get me started on the fries. Oh man. They recently started making chicken tenders, which I haven't had, but I hear great things. My kids LOVE them. Burgers are so simple but can be so great. Buns definitely makes them great.

Such a tasty burger joint! I came with my mom from out of town for lunch. We both got the Original Bun, Hot Dog with toppings, fries and a lemonade...Ugh so delicious Staff is friendly and accommodating and all are wearing face coverings and the seating area inside is clean

Totally recommend this place. Feels like an alternative to the regular visit to 5GUYS; although 5GUYS is one of the best. Definitely come here again. I do recommend lunch special, from 11-3 pm.

We were on our way from Massachusetts to New Jersey and used this as our halfway point. We looked up a quick place to get food and saw good reviews. We ordered two original burgers and fries for take out and it was ready in just ten minutes. It was delicious! Their original sauce made the flavor of the burger so great. It was a little bit spicy, and I have a low spice tolerance but it was still so delicious I ate every bite. Staff was very friendly as well and it was reasonably priced which I know is hard to find these days! Definitely recommend!

The food is absolutely delicious!!!! Perfect bun, perfect burger, the sauce is phenomenal! Pretty quick to get it to you as well. The bucket of fries compliment it perfectly with a fountain soda that you cant find at many places

LAMB Burger. That's all you need to know here. I feel terrible because I hate the thought of eating a poor little lamb but this was the juciest, most delicious burger. FIVE + stars. I only tried two bites of it and it made me want to make the long drive back to return to this place. I got the veggie burger / mushroom burger and it had a rather odd flavor to it. Fries weren't bad but not great.. Much too salty. Great waiter-to-car service back in late June during the pandemic. Making the trek again just for that lamb burger.

I have just recently visited Buns for the first time today. The food is amazing, especially the cheeseburger and fries. The service was very nice and helpful with ordering. The layout of the burger joint was amazing. The music was very calming and nice for me and my friends. We very much enjoyed our food and would definitely recommend other people going.

Lamb burgers are excellent, tasty, on your non-vegan days. Double burger makes sharing easy and adds only $3. They will wrap in lettuce rather than bun on request. My only burger spot. Veggie burger not in the same league, so those I cook at home.
