Asma Khan’s Darjeeling Express Restaurant in Covent Garden Could Close | Eater London

"A second London outpost for the brand is set to open on Villiers Street, taking over a central West End site previously occupied by another sausage‑focused operator; the move expands the group's London presence and keeps a sausage‑led offering in the area." - James Hansen

Had another good experience at this branch. I really like thier sweet and spicy Korean fried chicken which pairs well with the fries, tteok-bokki and gimbap. On this occasion, I got the deep fried cheese and vegetables gimbap, which comes with one sauce. The service was quite slow of my recent visit and the food took long to come out despite not being too busy. I did find the staff friendly and attentive on my recent visit

Having had good experience of this franchise at Chinatown, thought I would seek it out locally at the embankment branch. I ordered a half and half dog, with honey butter powder, buldak mayo and mayo. I couldn’t taste any of the honey butter powder as the corn dog was SMOTHERED in an overwhelming amount of sauce such that the corn dog itself became soggy and fell off the stick for the most part. The lady seemed to be busy with pre packing sauces and my order took 15 minutes. It was unfortunately a really sickening snack when I usually very much like it. I hope that they can be more attentive towards each order, regardless of how pre-occupied they may be with other orders/takeaways.

I ordered a portion of fried chicken bites with Bukdal Mayo to take away around 4.45pm at Villier St. (Ticket# 124) It was awful and inedible. The pieces are 85% batter and 15% chicken. Everything was overfried, the chicken in the middle dried out and rock hard it could break a tooth if not careful. I tried eating a few more pieces thinking I could find decent pieces but they are all rock hard! It was not like this before.

Came here as our daughter had seen the viral Korean corn dogs online and was desperate to try one. Not the biggest establishment but a huge selection of not only corn dogs but wraps, burgers and other related items, service was quick and the guys behind the counter welter friendly enough. Corn dog itself was delicious. Got a half and half chicken and mozzarella dog at £6.90 which seems a little pricey for what it actually was but the daughter was happy and it tasted great.

Another great quick treat before the theatre yesterday, very popular destination especially the one near China Town in Soho, this one in Embankment is a little quieter which means you have a chance to sit and relax while you eat your food. I have already reviewed the corn dogs which are great but yesterday we ordered the Korean Fried Chicken which didn’t disappoint, the chicken was crunchy, succulent and had just the right amount sauce, would definitely go back and try more dishes from the menu! Definitely recommend going if you have children, the cheese pull on the corn dogs is worth that alone!

The food was delicious, like an explosion of flavour in my mouth, a true little taste of Korea, the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing

It's korean fast food, so if you are happy with that, you won't be disappointed. We had tteokbokki, kimbap and mayo chicken and it was great, can recommend.

The food is always really good and comforting. Everything tastes fresh, and the corn dogs and fried chicken are super crispy and flavorful — definitely something I crave again after eating.
