Food was delicious. I ordered 2 hot dogs, twisters, and a drink. Drink options would be the only thing that could use other choices but no issues or problems. The food came out very fresh and well prepared. The staff was awesome and very friendly not just to me but to all the other guests that I witnessed come in and out.

Our First time going and it was delicious 😋 hot fresh and fills you up fast lol only ate a bit and saved the rest for later and the next day. A must have is the chicken Philly

Whatever you do, do not go here. I was eating my fries and milkshake right by the entrance. From the corner of my eye, I see a quick flash and sure enough it was a couple of rats crawling straight into the kitchen. Of course, I couldn’t grab my phone quick enough to catch it but I guess you’ll just have to take this testimony the way you will. The food is seriously mid and now I understand why the reviews are as bad as they are. On top of that… the service is below standard and the restaurant is filthy.

My food was dry very bland I had little cheese on my fries my husband got the chill dog it was ok its not anything to rave about we didn't even finish out food 🤮🤮

Got the Original Philly, the staff was super helpful to get it out quickly as I waited for my Lyft. Stayed warm all the way across the bay bridge!! Very delicious, nice staff!!

The level of delicious is unparalleled. The cheese, the fries. Everything is so good. Serving sizes are incredible. The staff is super friendly and nice. You have to ask for napkins, there's a drink machine with free refills, it's a great place to sit at the bar and have a hot dog. You can watch in the window and see all the craziness go by. It gets a little busy and it's pretty small but definitely don't skip this place. I love it. I am always happy when I drive by and I love the opportunity to stop in.

Had the hot link steak Philly and it was pretty good, the wait wasn't too long and the place was clean...

Best freaking French fries hands down! Out of this world!, even when delivered or next day as left overs. The burgers are also great especially the fact they offer BBEF BACKN!! No more phony bacon or half attempts with turkey, beef bacon is the closest to real bacon, pork bacon that is since it's the bacon of a cow.. not sure if that's how anatomy works in the butcher work lol but it's damn good bacon and I can imagine a certain clientele who would be flocking at the doors. It's so hard to find pork alternatives that's still meat and taste great. The brand they use for beef bacon must be similar to the ones sold at Whole Foods bc my dad buys them by the cases. Also the chocolate shake is awesome though I originally ordered the cherry cheesecake but sold out. Ordering again and going for the "Cinnamon Toast Crunch" baby!!gottah but on my big belly pants! I'll update with photos soon!

I saw all the bad reviews and did not have high hopes for this spot, originally we were trying to go to Gypsys accross the street but they stop taking orders at 11:45. We came here at about 12 and ordered on the tablets, they had a lot of options we ultimately choose a crispy chicken sandwich, double cheese burger, fries, mac n cheese and a hot link Philly cheesesteak with two soft drinks and a banana pie milkshake. The chicken sandwich was SO GOOD, probably the second best one I've had in the bay aside from south station chicken sandwiches. The fries were fresh and crispy, Mac n cheese was mid though too watered down. The hot link Philly cheesesteak was good but it could of been better if we kept the lettuce and other toppings. The double cheese burger was good but nothing special. Garlic crispy chicken sandwich 5/5 Hot link Philly cheesesteak 3/5 Mac n cheese 2/5 Fries 4/5 Banana shake 5/5 Double cheeseburger 3/5 Overall a 3.5/5 The service was bad though they didn't even try to greet us or take our order we had to assume we had to use the table but they made the food quick and fresh. At the end they did end up wishing us a goodnight and thanking us for coming in. 2/5 They also don't use pork it's all beef and chicken or turkey.

Food is ok. I went there a few times it's dead bugs in the eating area. I mentioned it and was told to eat over there or you can get it to go. Soda drinks are never available. Dead bugs are all over the eating area.

I ordered the cheesesteak and it was okay. It was very oily and definitely hits the spot if you're hungry late at night. I don't think the proportion is worth the price. No complaints about the service. The ambiance is very casual. It's a good fast food spot open late at night if you're looking for some options other than just a burger and fry.

After a day of heavy drinking, I looked to Bunz for a carb-heavy meal that'd soak up the residual alcohol remaining in my system. While it did the job, Bunz is not the best sandwich restaurant by any stretch of the imagination. But, despite being incredibly decent, they're definitely reliable which comes in handy if you're looking for food in a pinch. My order was ready in just under 7 minutes which was 15 minutes faster than what SnackPass initially predicted. I never would've guessed that I'd be the person to pay money for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a meal I learned how to make as soon as I learned how to walk, but my laziness knows no bounds. Today, I ordered a PB and J melt on Texas toast. The sandwich was just okay. The toast was overtly saturated in butter, even taking on a yellow hue throughout. To my surprise, it wasn't that decadent. In fact, it was rather dry with the thick toast overpowering the sandwich's contents. Though this might just be user error, I also didn't like the fact that the sandwich was quite literally stuffed with jelly as the consistency was more jell-o-esque instead of a fruity spread. Perhaps if they used jam, I'd have a better eating experience. Overall, I did get what I paid for and the cost wasn't horribly expensive -- just 7 dollars. Perhaps I'll try one of their milkshakes or burgers next time, but I'll probably stick with Super Duper down the street.

Ordered a Turkey and cheese sandwich here on Snackpass... not good at all. First of all, they took forever to make my food even though there were literally 2 other people there. The sandwich itself would've been fine if it weren't for the fact that it was drenched in cheap tasting American cheese? Like it literally tasted like they squeezed a can of Easy Cheese on it and warmed it up. Ruined the taste of the whole thing and got all over my hands too. At least it was pretty cheap for a fairly large sandwich, I guess.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would, literally the worst Philly cheesesteak I've ever had, the meat was so well done It felt like rubber & the service was very slow took half an hour for me & 2 other co workers to get our food. I ended up giving the rest of my food to a homeless man down the street

Ordered their Double Cheeses Burger with fries and shake via kiosk. It is okay. Very mediocre. Not juicy. Almost dry. Very pricey. Not worth the price. Had better quality burgers at other restaurants that are less of the price they ask for. I will not be coming back

Honestly it's their pumpkin pie milkshake that keeps me coming back,they are delicious!!!!and the waffle fries.order ahead cuz their always busy and open extra late.

My stomach was growling like crazy and I was in the mood for some good ol' fashion American food. I came at around 11:30 pm and it was still busy. The restaurant's space was compact and could not fit any big groups, so the majority of the customers were waiting outside of the restaurant. When I walked in, I was amazed by the decor- a bright yellow background with doodles plastered all over the wall. I ordered the Pastrami Melt and a Banana Cream Dream. It was understandable that I had to wait for 15 minutes because there were so many orders ahead of me, but the real reason why I rated this place a two stars is mainly because of the food and prices. For $8.99, it was basically a thick bread with a thin layer of pastrami. Not only was it very minimal, but they didn't even put any caramelized onions like it stated in the menu. Order this if you only want a mouthful of bread. For the dessert, the Banana Cream Dream was the worst banana cream pie I have ever tasted. The crust is crumbly and was just tasteless. The filling tasted so artificial- like those banana candies you get at the mall. The slice I got was quite small too. Definitely not worth $3.99! Overall, not the best place to spend your money if you want food that's worth emptying your wallet.

I think this spot is pretty new but I've heard some good reviews about it! I ordered a regular burger and my friends and I split fries and onion rings. The burger was overall pretty solid, just a good classic meal. I thought the fries were great, but the onion rings were definitely the best part. Would definitely come back again!

I forget that when you're in a college town, young folks don't have refined pallets yet. Most college kids eat anything and everything no matter what and it's all good.

Good quantity, fair priced, meh taste. This is the new place near Jaguar Karaoke on Durant. I ordered fries through UberEats and wasn't too enamored by them mostly because the flavor was all over the place. Stomach wasn't exactly feeling fantastic afterwards either. Definitely appreciated them filling up the box and the solid chicken:fry ratio but something about the quality was off. Probably not going to be my late-night go-to, but decent value meal if you're on a budget and desperate for something different.

I only came for the onion rings and the Onions rings are mid. No flavor not crunchy goodness. Would never get these again.

Ordered a cherry pie milkshake veggie burger and fries. The shake was gross and had chunks of actual pie in it - not to mention it was $9 probably the most overpriced shake I've ever paid for and so I was really let down by it. Additionally the veggie burger was overpriced - it wasn't a beyond patty or impossible meat and it reminded me of a frozen garden patty you pick up at the grocery store. Lastly the fries were okay but again overpriced. Easy for me to say I will not be returning for any item on the menu.

Great service! I just ordered mac and cheese through Snackpass. The app said my order was ready, but there was an issue with heating the food up so they needed a bit longer. I received a call from Bunz, but it cut off. When I got there, the cashier was nice and said they tried to call me because they wanted to let me know of the situation. I completely understood and waiting an extra 5 minutes was worth it for such great service and food!

Street is littered with illegal double parking that the police don't do anything about it because no one jumped in their cars to move as the police drove by. This is how you know you found the place. Across the street we picked up doughts and noticed Bunz as we were leaving, because it used to be Poutine. It's alright. I don't know what their signature dish in order to try it. It was not busy when we walked in. The employees/owner are a bit friendly. We ordered the Chilli Cheese Fries and order extra cheese. I had a couple bites and was done. I am not saying it was bad at all, just saying I was full already. Just wanted to taste it so when my friend and I have a late night we know we have a place. We will try another another dish another night. It is very well lit inside. They do have seats inside and you can people watch from their large windows. It was clean inside.

I can't even be mad that they didn't put lettuce and tomatoes my special request on my Philly sandwich because it was still bomb AF!! The Western burger I got was hella good too (see pics).

I thought I was going to lose my mind waiting for my food to arrive! Must have waited around 50 minutes for a milkshake and fries (at around 9-10 pm on a Friday night). Milkshake was good but fries were soggy. Meh.

Ordered for pickup and ate inside and this is wha i got i told them very nicely if this was wha i order and he spoke in spanish calling me rude names spanish is my second language i might not look like i speak it but i do and i asked for a refund i mean look at how i came it was like flipped over and he was saying no and get out i wish this place can close down calling customers stupid and annoying wha kind of customer service is that.

Was here on Friday for the first time, as I was in that part of Berkeley for the first time since February and I had never heard of this establishment. I got there just before they opened and I was the only one in there. The menu is huge and I ended up getting the Pastrami fries and a Hot Link Steak (house sauce, cheddar cheese, BBQ beef hot link, steak, grilled onions lettuce and tomatoes). The food was outstanding and I will definitely be back there to try other items very soon.

Undercooked bacon, choking hazard. I was concerned for my livelihood. The fat was there in visible fibrous chunks and it was truly a really gross experience, not to mention a safety hazard in terms of irritating digestion and potentially carrying bacteria.

Got burgers twice. The Bunz Ah Way burger was fine, heavy as expected and slightly dry mac and cheese, but solved my cravings. The cheeseburger looked nothing like the picture and was kind of crushed and sad. The lemon merengue pie was overly sweet, the merengue itself is a little less fluffy than something you'd get from Nation's. But they do open til very late and appear to be a small business, so I would probably give them 4 stars for the hours and the variety. My low review is mostly from the lack diligence for COVID protocol. When they first opened, I tried to come here twice, but neither the cashier nor the cook were wearing masks. Later times the mask was often pulled down or not covering the nose. They aren't wearing any types of gloves for making the food.

Worst crispy chicken sandwich i ever had. This s**t cost me 13$????? Ibs is wayyyy better across the street. The chicken was dry, unflavored and tasted old. Buns were staled. Super rude person at the front. 0 customer service. I have eaten a lot of chicken burgers in the past form different places and this was the worst burger. Chicken was so dry that i had to come back for the ranch. They even charged me for the ranch... like come on i just paid 13$ for a stupid trash burger. I am putting a really honest review. Even Macdonald chicken burger tastes better than this. PLEASE DONT GO HERE!!!! Owner needs to take care of his business.

If Top Dog and IB's had a baby, it would be the Bunz hot link philly cheesesteak. If you can't decide whether you want a hot dog or a Philly cheesesteak, Bunz offers boffum. It was pretty tasty at first, but by the second half I was getting pretty tired of the flavor. The hot links are juicy and spicy. Everything was pretty salty which makes you get tired of the flavor quickly. Also, they should change their name to Bunzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, because I almost fell asleep during the 30 min wait after I ordered. Idk why it took so long. There was only one order in front of us and they didn't even start cooking the beef until 15 min later. People in the kitchen were just standing around and sweeping the floors. I honestly thought they forgot our order, but how could they when we were the only ones waiting for our food at this point. The cheesesteak was okay, but it definitely wasn't worth the 30 minute wait. A lot of the food on their menu looks really good so I will be back to try more and hopefully give it a higher rating.

So I've been driving passed this place for awhile and they just opened up about a month and a half ago, I finally got to try it out today and for my first time trying it I was highly impressed first and foremost, everything was clean! Second, the customer service was top notch! And lastly, the food was on point! I ordered a juicy burger and shake let me tell you, THE BEST BURGER in Berkeley. It's a no brainer that I will be back!

Order the "Bunz Ah Away" burger, loveeee it! It has Mac and cheese inside! Store is very clean, they just open couple days ago! Wings are the must!

It's good for late night cravings, but the wait takes a while! I've gotten Bunz a few times now, and I can recall 3 times where my food (only one item) has taken nearly 30 minutes... 30 minutes for one order of fries??? Doesn't make sense to me! However, I must say their food hits nicely after a night out. I never thought I would ever try macaroni on top of fries, but hey- it's pretty satisfying!

I don't recommend anything here other than the grilled pb&j or grilled cheese. Everything else is fairly mediocre and the onion rings are more batter than onion. Not good at all. I do not recommend.

Nah nah sorry, did not enjoy the food. I thought it's a new franchise from the owner so would be different than the late night after party grab Seniores.. and expected something unique.. but was not. Very regular burger with nothing different or special, it was not done so well. Fries also were just retailed frozen thing.. Was not at all happy because they claimed we are very good and different. Tried sharing with the owners on the email ID however no response to redress. Just an average place where you can buy food from grocery store and cook it yourself :)

Bunz newly opened food spot in Berkeley. The staff are all so nice and the food is delicious. After trying it for the first time I came back to days in a row lol. I recommend the Chilli Cheese Dog, Southwestern burger, Bunz Ah Away Burger, and honestly anything else on the menu. This is my new go-to spot. The banana cream pie shake is to die for. The meat tastes fresh & I especially appreciate that they do not use pork on their menu. Do some research and you'll never eat pork again either!!

Bacon cheese burger was amazing. A large person like me can easily be satisfied by half a burger. Now are you crazy enough to pay $7 for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich? If you said no, you will love your life never knowing what you missed. You'll get married to an accountant have 2.5 children. Drive a Mazda minivan and take cruises. I mean it will be a good life... but if you roll those dice or just are tired and have 4 kids who can't agree on what to eat and one who doesn't want meat... then get ready for the greatest pb&j experience you will ever have. When I say the ingredients are just creamy peanut butter, the Welch's style grape jelly and Texas toast you are probably gonna laugh at how I got ripped off. This is a prime example how properly done simple ingredients can make amazing things. For me it was the creamy peanut butter. I don't know what they do but it's like a whipped cream. The Texas toast makes it feel and look like a grilled cheese. Honestly 4 of us sampled it. Eating all of it might not have been smart but I'm glad I took a bite. Did it change my life... no but it may have been the best thing I ate on a long road trip and that's saying a lot.

2nd time here and it was HORRIBLE. I ordered the hotlink sandwich which they said only had mayo, cheese, tomato, onion, pickles, and lettuce in it. I waited a total of 1 hour from the moment I got there until my food came out. When I checked if my order was right I saw there was mustard which I am allergic too and they never stated on the kiosk that the sandwich included mustard. I stated my concern and they did not care and with attitude told me "if you want another one you're going to have to wait another 25 minutes". Anyways place is trash as fuck, horrible customer service. They should have offered to make my food right away since it was a mistake on their end. I received a refund and left. NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN.

I got the Hawaiian Philly cheesesteak because I'm a fan of cheesesteaks, this just didn't cut it for me tho. The flavor was there but when you get the sandwich it looks more like a loaf of bread than anything. Do not recommend if you have a big appetite. On the other hand the mushroom Swiss burger was exceptional, so go with a burger if you do go.

Most of their burgers make no sense. Reguardless of how good this food is gona be i paid 25 dollars for just myself to eat. All i got was a double cheeseburger waffle fries and a shake definately not fast food either my order is taking over 15 minutes I should of just went to nations the wait is half the time and the price is half the price. I coulda bought a cheeseburger and a whole pie there. So the cashier gave me 2 pieces of ketchup for this whole order and a super small straw im pretty pissed i paid 25 dollars for this crap i would have gotten better service at nations at half the price. Im going to hold onto this shake and return it. I cant even drink it. This what happens when u pay minimum wage u get thick headed employees

I had a grilled cheese and the loaded fries with nacho cheese and jalapeños. It was ok. Some of cheese wasn't even melted. I am disappointed that ordered directly from the website and requested curbside delivery. When I called I was told they were too busy to do that. Why even list something that isn't offered? Not even a sorry was offered. That area and parking is extremely difficult on the weekends. If I had known curbside wasn't being offered, I would choose another place.

Great spot to eat. The food is amazing and the employees are so nice. I recommend the turkey, bacon and cheddar melt it's so good.

Just another spot to fool drunk people with shitty food. Rather an extensive menu, no standards for quality / intergrity in preparing the food. I had the bacon cheeseburger, the burger was quite tasty but whatever happened to the bacon, it was tragic. 50c for ranch they forgot, n didn't have the pbnj cut in half? Iunno maybe the palette has evolved but waste of money if you actually wanted something delicious.

Pie shakes Are so damn good you have no idea and the food as well is amazing. I love their milkshakes though I honestly could suck these shakes down every day of my life if i wasn't worried about the weight gain, or the cost. They are a little bit pricey, and you do tend have to wait a little longer than you really want too, but seems like the staff is a revolving door with the exception of the cooks. Last time I genuinely wanted to help hit the grill for them as I have a food service background, but honestly all bs aside, give them a chance. They don't open till 5:30 pm but are open till 2am so you can get your munchies fix late night!

Yo the hot link philly is so good it's a bit spicy but the bbq sauce makes it lip smacking and the waffle fries with cheese wizz wow definitely the best spot on Durant by far and if you haven't asked about the pie shake omg!!! I got the cherry pie blended with a chocolate shake out of this world!!!!!!!!!

Chili cheese dog was trash. Gave me a weird whole wheat bun, tasted sour. No cheese on my dog, btw. Bland food overall; Idk about the rest of the menu but after this nasty chili cheese dog I'm not coming back here again.
