It was pretty good, however 1 of the 3 meals wasn't up to par (mine). my friends ordered the shuck it all for 2 and LOVED it. it had a lot of great variety and definitely enough food for the 2 of them. ($70), which was strange because the website showed it being priced at 50
I started off with a dozen oysters. Being on the beach, I was under the impression that these would be FRESH, never frozen. however, they were all completely frozen, where i had to let them thaw out before i could even get them out, not to mention, they were the smallest oysters that i have ever seen. barely any meat, compared to the pre-shucked ones that were in the boil.
The extremely limited amount of horseradish they provide was laughable. and on top of that, they charge you an additional amount for another serving. (wasn't even fresh, was probably squeezed out of a bottle).
We also ordered a set of coconut shrimp. They were butterflied, as noted, but they were so tiny and only had about 8 bitesize pieces that it was definitely not worth the value.
I ordered the coastal combo, which has a nice piece of flounder (a little skimpy and thin), blackened., and some shrimp (which was pretty good, just a little small). there were some fried oysters (which were probably double the size of the fresh ones that were previously ordered). and 3 hush puppies. it was good, but not very fulfilling.
I ordered a burger to go, so that i could have a good lunch the following day, and to be honest, that was probably one of the best things about this 'seafood restaurant'.
I ordered The "bacon cheeseburger, minus the cheese), cooked medium and they gave ample amounts of bacon, onion, and on a brioche bun. the fries were cooked well, and overall, that was a very good burger. I'm guessing it was about 1/3 of a pound burger, based on the size.
they had some table games, and our table had a box of jenga, however only had 7 rows of it available. guess the rest got misplaced, or reallocated to another table.
The most positive experience of the entire meal was that the waitress, Taylor, was extremely attentive and was able to keep us hydrated with all the water that we were drinking. That is really the only reason to go back to this place.
The hostess was a short girl who was also very helpful and accommodating (didn't get her name, but kudos to her as well)
They do have an extensive bar and some great specials. if you are there from 4-6 for happy hour, you may get a better experience. (we missed happy hour by 5 minutes)..
Overall, its a nice place, typically packed and usually has a wait. get there early enough and you can get in. When we were leaving, they had some live entertainment in the front of the tent.
Total bill for 3 people came out to be about $160 (a little high for the quality), but the tip was a larger portion of it, b/c the waitstaff did very well.
