Best Restaurants on the Jersey Shore | Eater NY

"This Manasquan sandwich shop always draws a crowd for good reason: the sandwiches are next-level — the pork roll, egg, and cheese comes on an everything-seasoned brioche and the tuna salad uses olive-oil poached fish with cherry peppers on focaccia; I also watch for evening pop-ups serving inventive prix fixe menus." - Marion Brewer

I feel like every pier needs a little spot like this. The food is good and the staff is super friendly. I was surprised, but maybe shouldn't have been, that they also sell tackle, bait and have rod rentals! A nifty place with the best fresh churros! Would definitely stop buy for some snacks and bait lol only downside is the lack of seating areas. It is a rather small pier so I understand why. Still a thumbs up from me 👍

You can’t go wrong with this little cafe on the pier! The VIEWS!!! 😍 The guy who runs the place, David, is super cool and friendly. If you’re in the area, definitely check it out for a quick bite and beautiful scenery!

Best hot dogs in the nation, very friendly and attentive staff, and amazing views of the Pacific from their back patio. The sea birds can be a bit annoying, but at least they are polite.

Would be a 5 stars but the only problem is that they do not accept card. So this is 4 stars for me.

Yelp
We love this place!! My fiancĂŠe and I just moved into the area and couldn't be more excited about this small cafe on the pier. Dude that was running it, David, was really friendly and the views can't be beat...because, ya know, it's on a pier. I will tell you, the other negative reviews on here don't really paint a fair picture of this place. It is a small establishment that was wrecked by a storm a few years ago, so it's not Javier's, but has the charm and location to be something special! Check it out if you're in the area!

Yelp
I love this place! It's a cute little snack spot at the end of a pier...and the food is actually pretty damn tasty! Also, a great spot to get something to drink after walking/skating the beach trails. Every person who has helped me has always been super sweet, I will continue to support this gem :)

Yelp
Only customer at window and yet had to wait for the guy behind the counter to finish messing with his fishing reel before he could help me. After watching him for a few minutes I decided to keep my money and walked away. With this type of service, I don't need their product that badly.. Don't waste your time with this place.

Yelp
Very convenient to have this store on the pier if you need quick access to fishing supplies or a quick snack. Be prepare to spend a little more at this store for the convenience of not having to leave the pier and find a local store like 7-eleven to get snacks or fishing bait. The pier is a fun place to fish or enjoy the scenery of Long Beach. Parking is free before 8am or after 6pm.

Yelp
STAY. AWAY. FROM. THIS. PLACE!!! very unsanitary. unfair prices. i went and waited for 20 minutes for some one to attend me, until a teen kid with braces finally came out of the back smelling like marijuana. Guess thats why we waited so long. my wife ordered nachos and i just got a gatorade. as we waited, i looked inside and saw rats running around and flies all over. we waited for 5 more minutes for the nachos, and when we got them, we were impressed with the size. however, as we started eating, immediately both my wife and I's stomachs turned upset, and as we were barely getting off the pier, we both threw up. we took a glance at the nachos again and noticed the cheese did not look like how nacho cheese is supposed to. there was white streaks on the cheese! could it have been mold? who knows! my wife and I will be contacting the health department as i noticed several health code violations just by looking inside the store. now let's talk prices. As we waited, several fisher men came up to take a look at the bait and tackle menu. they all would turn away as they saw the prices. outloud they would all say in unison,"$7 for squid? 6 for mackerel mussel and anchovy??" i wonder why this store charges tourist attraction prices when in reality, this pier is no where near a tourist attraction. it makes tourists never want to come back. just like my wife and i, we will never come back to buoys.
