Burg Trendelburg

We were very much welcomed upon arrival. The hospitality of the hotel and the restaurant was top-notch. It was an amazing one-night stay that will be remembered for a long time.

Husband and I spent the afternoon and night in the castle. Off the beaten path, quiet, and peaceful. Beautiful views, and grounds. The staff and service were top notch. Enjoyed the five course dinner which was delicious and well paced. They were very accommodating of any food restrictions. The room was spacious and decorated to match the motif. The bed was old and not comfortable. Overall decor was dusty and could use a deep clean. Facilities, shower, and dining areas were clean. The guided knight tour was wonderful, however, his English was not very good. Overall, we loved the experience, and would do it again.

My daughter treated me to a visit to stay in a castle. It is very beautiful, I loved the views from Rapunzel tower, worth the climb. The staff here are fantastic, really attentive and friendly. Our last night was on Halloween, and we went to their theme night, The hangman's daughter, which was a story told by a puppeteer, in-between courses , which were delicious, very friendly, well worth a visit, at any time of year.

Loved it! Felt like a fairy-tale-place. The staff make you feel very welcome. Enjoyed the dinner and breakfast as well, Parking right outside the castle. Walking up the tower is fun and recommended.

Us: Two adults and two small kids. ||Great experience and stay at an authentic castle, taking us back to the middle age. ||The service were good and so was the cleanliness. The design of the rooms stayed true to the style of the castle, and it was a fun experience walking to the top of rapunzels tower. ||We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both living up to the expectations in terms of quality. During dinner, we were sitting at the terrance with a wonderful view of hills and nature. ||Overall atmosphere is pleasant and authentic and a place to stay for couples with or without children.

I did not stay at the hotel. I just visited the Rapunzel Tower and Museum, plus I enjoyed a cup of coffee. The tower was worth visiting. The hotel staff was amazing with customer service and information about the local area. Had I known this was a hotel, I would have stayed here.

We were lucky to have the castle for our self and what an experience. ||Michael was so helpful and told everything we needed to know about the castle. ||The boys loved the castle, old amour and the weapons. We would love to come back, meanwhile we will recommend Trendelburg to every who thinks about staying in an old castle 💪||||One downside was the bed which was a little noisy

The castle hotel, 4-course dinner and surrounding views were simply fabulous! The hotel's staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating.||||Many historical artefacts on display are also worthy of being placed in a museum.

Set on top of a hill as you drive into the quaint village you see Repunzels tower connected is a hotel. You cross the bridge and enter into an classic castle experience. The rooms were big and very comfortable. There is a wonderful elegant restaurant that serves breakfast lunch and dinner A magical experience just before Christmas with two little girls.

Trendelburg, convenient to the Diemel, is a by the state appreciative air health resort. Is controlled the place of 50 m high sandstone rock (foothills of the Reinhard forest) on that one around 1300 built castle stands, the today's castle hotel Trendelburg. In the place is located the protestant town church from that to 15. Century, in which late Gothic art is to be seen. A very beautiful place for excursions. Coffee and cakes on the castle, as the meal, are quite recommendable. Above all the view in the evening sun is very beautiful.
