Stopped in for a beer. I had the Pilsner. Pretty good. They closed at 7. Overall. Just one beer but I’d be back for sure.

1st visit yesterday and quickly became a fan. Their west coasts and hazies were on point. Joel and Noah were extremely welcoming and friendly. Will definitely return when I’m in SD! Cheers!

Love this place! They have a nice beer selection, great tasting beer, and a comforting environment filled with a nice array of plants. And, speaking of plants, they help with the planting of TREES in our National Forests, how awesome is that! In addition, they also allow pets, albeit they have to be on a leash. But hey, that's kinda the norm for a pet-friendly place right. Oh, and they have a nice custom made shuffle board maybe made out of driftwood?? Lastly, the place isn't too big. Party busses of 20 or more are asked to call ahead. They have 2 long, tables that can seat about 10 each, about 3 bar height concrete tables with seating for about 6 each, about 4 standing height tables without seats, some wood bench seats, and plenty of seating around the bar. This place is very close to McClellan-Palomar Airport, so if you're waiting to take-off, grab a quick ride over and have yourselves a drink or two. -Cheers!

Burgeon is a fantastic place in to get some tasty beer in the Carlsbad area. They have a great variety of beers but their IPAs are something special. Great atmosphere too, I really like their integration of tree/wood motif into the popular industrial look. There's also something to be said about the delicious street tacos being served at the El Habanero taco truck outside.

Great place to hang out, relax and have a great beer. Happy for the food truck since this place doesn't offer much for food except for chips and dip @ $10

Burgeon used to have the best anniversary fest in San Diego, but for the past 3+ years it has been a complete hell fest with 6 porta potties for 500+ people in epically bad weather. Poorly managed every aspect. 1 food vendor. 1 band. Burgeon management are non existent to see the insanity. Less great breweries every year. No Horus this year. No Moksa. Every year, less great breweries. I will never come back to this hell fest.

Great beer selection, amazing ambiance of the place and super friendly staff. Couldn't ask for more from a brewery in Carlsbad! Definitely tucked away in a business park but well worth the visit. Will be coming back for sure

Feeling thirsty on a hot Tuesday afternoon we decided to go and get a couple of cold beers. We ordered our favorite from a friendly man named Conrad. We ordered Treevana IPA which is our go to IPA, why not go to the source. Conrad even changed the channel and put on the club World club soccer game. Very nice atmosphere, cold brews and friendly bartenders what more could you want. Chill vibe highly recommended.

Cool spot in Carlsbad! Great staff and ambience! Got pizza from a vendor outside, they have a calendar for the different vendors each day

I've been at this location once and liked it. "Forestry " decor, a lot of air. The main draw - quality of beers. I love Hazy IPA line of beers.

Love the beer. However they need to do a better job of helping understand selections. Been coming here since the opened and asked the beer tender what is fresh and new. Got a bin answer. It's all good he said. I was looking for new releases. Not the best. No tip for this guy. Rude and non engaging.

Cool brewery with solid beer! Interior of the brewery is awesome and sets the mood to enjoy some beer in what feels like the outdoors. They have a decent amount of options for all kinds of beer drinkers.

Kudos to whoever designed the space. While finding parking is difficult, upon walking in you're transported to a great atmosphere to enjoy a few drinks and conversation. TV screens to enjoy whatever is going on and there's a couple of nearby food options that will deliver. Beer was solid. No complaints. There were a couple of dogs in the patio and I'll definitely return with mine soon.

Burgeon is a cool brewery! After waking into Burgeon, I immediately loved the ambiance and vibe. There's a big tree near the bar with string lights hanging that creates an outdoorsy feel. All of the tables and some of their benches are made of big pieces of wood. The brewery has a lot of indoor seating and feels spacious. It was clean inside and felt inviting. The guy working the bar greeted us and was very friendly. We tried a handful of Burgeon's beers and liked them all. The beers were smooth and easy to drink. The hazy IPAs were not too bitter or hoppy. Burgeon has food trucks for their food option. We did not eat, but there was a pizza food truck out front to order from. Burgeon is a great option for beer lovers!

Brews made here are easily some of the best you will find anywhere. Yeah, anywhere !. Then there's the well informed staff. If you come here and not sure what to order, a tell your server what style and brand you like. More times than not you'll be impressed. As for food. This location typically has food trucks. These hand selected eateries pair well with the brews Burgeon produces. Particularly Thumbs Up smoked meats/sandwiches and more. I tell people who are new to this north county area visiting brewery's to come to Burgeon last. Their beers are so good you'll have no reason to explore further.

Thumbs up Bacon and BBQ need to get this! This excellent BBQ is really great and you can only get BBQ this good in Texas. Goes great with the beers served here. I had the Barrel Aged Dutchmans Pipe - nothing compares to the flavor of this dark creamy beer. Service is excellent - BBQ and tap! Great place to hang out and take it all in on a lazy afternoon.

Love the beer. Its our favorite brewer in san diego. Would love some other types of food trucks but will still come for the beer !

Awesome beer and outstanding BBQ. This place is legit. Love their atmosphere and ambiance. Love their decor. Staff is really friendly. Good people. My favorite brews are their Treevana and their sour. Both are really good. BBQ was awesome. Smoky and flavorful. Paired very well with the beer. I'll definitely come back here.

I love the ambiance here with the super high ceilings and woodsy kind of feel. Plenty of bar seating and a good mix of low and high tables. The beers are great. Plenty of IPA choices although I don't care too much for them... their Burl brown ale on nitro was on point and the Mexican lager was really refreshing.

I have been to their outpost in Escondido but finally got a chance to check out the home base in Carlsbad. Atmosphere: 9 - Relaxed, natural wood seating and countertops. Outdoor area near food truck and spacious interior. Thursday evening...75% full. Service: 10 - Quick recommendations on what to try. I like it when the bartenders have opinions and are not afraid to tell you what they think is best. Beer: 10 - I'm a hazy IPA guy and this place has several great ones. I didn't want the ones that I had before even though I know they are great. I tried a couple tasters and my favorite was the Hazy - Universal Secret. Best beer I have had in weeks. Other: The beers are so good here that I would rate them in the top 5 breweries in the USA. I travel 3 weeks a month and have the opportunity to sample quite a variety of breweries. I forget to review but on average I get to try at least 2 new breweries per week. The beer here is quite awesome!

Would not have known this was tucked way down Bitton of the street in an industrial center off Palomar Airport Sooo many beers to choose from with I think 2 new ones dropping each week Their juicy IPA is my favorite- hubby enjits the Anniversary Beer- subliminal Sync These guys also CoLab with lots of brewing Companies and their Anniversary party was so much fun! Tried a lot of different brews and learned about local spots and new trends in the industry

After an encounter with a snarky bartender and a less than impressive beer, I see no reason to return. There are many other better options in Carlsbad.

Beer: Absolutely incredible! One of our all time favorite line ups in town! We are so lucky to live nearby. Service: Amazing! All the staff is awesome. Eddie, Noah, Jen and every single beer tender is super cool. Ambiance: Great! No outdoor space but inside has lots of tables tall and short. Each time we are there we meet cool locals. Thumbs Up food vendor: Not fans at all. Food is salty and staff is very unprofessional. We always eat before going to Burgeon.

If you have a tree fetish--and who doesn't?--this is your happy place. The logo is a tree. There are trees on the walls and inside the brewery. Some of the beers ate named after trees. They donate money to plant trees, which is very cool. You get the idea. So how is the beer? Well, thank you for asking. It's delicious. They are heavy on the IPAs. But their flagship, Treevana, is very smooth and not too crazy piney. They also have a nice refreshing Mexican lager (Invita) and an absolutely delicious, boozy, chocolatey stout (Dutchman's Pipe). And many more. These are quality brews, folks. The interior is spacious and they sometimes set up tables outside, too. Keep an eye on their calendar online for food trucks. Burgeon is very popular and for good reason. Now, go get your tree fetish on.

Absolutely amazing beer across the board. The location is nice, open-aired, and extremely friendly, with locals chatting, watching sports, and enjoying the beer always present. The location is open to any of the local restaurants delivering or eating in. I love this place!

Yesterday was my first visit here. However it's been on my to-go-to list/bookmarks for a long while (many years actually). However it wasn't my first time having their beer elsewhere. As many locals know many businesses support the local breweries within their own tasting room:/bar/restaurant by having them on tap. You can try two tasters per person at a time so my guest and I shared 4 between us both. Matty was helping us on our short and sweet trip here ~~ as we only had enough time to order a chipotle chicken and cheese grilled sandwich from the Drippin' Kitchen food truck and try almost a handful of what they had to offer us... before they closed up for the night. He was super hospitable and helped explain their menu to us. They had a little bit of something for everyone. I want to say they had about 10 or more brews to choose from. So probably a medium amount of choices. I too am not a huge fan of too many IPAs due to sensitivities. So their selection worked out for me. I chose the Strawberry Limeade Sour and the Pipe stout. My guest got the Pilsner Pistil and a Lager (forgot the name) Each brew stood out from the other with their own individual flavor. (not like some places where you might not be able to taste the difference between the brews) We got the super easy drinking Pistil 4 pack as our to-go item. *Note you cannot mix n match the take home cans here. So come wearing your flannel and lumberjack or casual attire. Bring your family, friends and your puppy because they are all welcome here. This industrial looking building is nothing but outdoorsy on the inside. From their indoor tree, beautiful wood work(s) throughout, high-top communal bar seating areas, to picnic tables, dog water bowl n snacks, & a very open floor plan etc made for a very nice and relaxing evening. This is their main brewery headquarters and currently have two other tap locations. One in Escondido and the other one in the little Italy region. Overall our short n sweet visit was a great one. How was it that I slept on this brewery? I'm not sure but I definitely regret it. Maybe because they're not as big as a Stone, Ballast Point which in my opinion has fell off some, Modern Times, and Belching Beaver. Well it's my our fault because Burgeon has some great beers and my favorite is that Juice IPA something. This location is a warehouse with a decent size indoor drinking area and a nice size parking lot patio area. They usually have some type of food setup. This is definitely a can't miss spot!

Alright, I'll say it: Best beer in North County San Diego (top three in the city.) I was first welcomed into this nature themed brewery almost two years to date. Met with friendly, helpful staff, a large variety of beer styles, and friendly patrons, I could not ask for a better watering hole! The brewery specializes in IPA's both hazy and west coast as well as one of my favorite, but unfortunately not often brewed, hopped lagers. Beers are always brewed with top shelf ingredients and hops. Always true to style. Crisp and clean. If you are in the neighborhood, or exploring San Diego for top beer/breweries, it's difficult to not include Burgeon in your top 3!

Great beer. Food truck BBQ Thumbs Up is good. Sucks this place will not offer puiblic wifi service access to paying customers. When their Escondido Oasis location and new Vista The Grove locations will provide and give access to their wifi networks. Do not come to this location if you are trying to get a beer and food and do some work that requires wifi access.

Great outdoor feel in an industrial setting. Really enjoyed the Pistil Pilsner (5.2% ABV) and look forward to come back for more tasty treats from Drippin' Kitchen food truck.

Vista breweries are must visit places for me. So when I was working in the area, I knew I had to stop by. Burgeon is easy to find and parking was plentiful. It was fairly busy, even early on a week day. Nonetheless, the beer-tender took the time to make some very, very good choices. His knowledge of beer in general and helped me better understand what I was tasting. Very impressive. Can't wait to come back.

top notch service at our local brewery in CBAD! came in and was immediately directed to the self serve treats and a refreshing bowl of water. this is the spot! cool greenery wall for photo ops, even a corner with dog merchandise to buy! oh and you can let your humans know that the beers are very good!

Not only does Burgeon have some Great Award Winning Beer.... They also have the most amazing team! We have been going to Burgeon for several years and there is always friendly faces to greet you. Everybody has great beer knowledge and a passion for what they do! I highly recommend the Treevana and Carlsbad Crush!

My hubby and friends really like this place for their delicious IPA's. I'm more of a sours fan which they don't have. However, everyone is really patient when I'm trying to find a favorite beer to enjoy. Came in today because they have their strawberry/raspberry juice press beer. I really like the taste of this beer, along with the two different flavors, it jumps out at you in a good way. Very refreshing & delicious. Looking forward to other new & unique creations.

Love this place. First off, they truly have the best IPA's in my book. I love their food truck variety as well. Very friendly and helpful staff. It's a very chill environment and everyone is welcome. Great amount of seating at the bar or tables. Love going here.

A nice selection of in-house beers. Ample space inside and out. Nice atmosphere. Attentive staff (mostly). I sampled a few beers. All were consistently good. I'm more of a wine and cider guy generally, so I would have appreciated options other than beer. But, it is a brewery after all, and that was, and should be, their focus. And, I couldn't resist buying a T-shirt on the way out.

My favorite brewery in SD county, been coming here since they opened almost 5yrs ago. Service is top notch here, everyone is so helpful and knowledgeable. It's so hard to leave every time I drop by, just is so relaxing and good vibes. Their beers are the best, everything has balance whether it's a big barrel aged stout or lighter IPA.

Attended and was the officiate for a wedding at Burgeon Beer Co. This is a amazing place with the nicest staff. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. Would I recommend this place for a event or wedding? YES!!!! Would I recommend this place just for a beer and good time? YES!!!! Thank you Burgeon for a wonderful day and a wonderful memory.

Waiting for a friend of mine to arrive at the train station I opted to kill some time and visit a local brewery that's been on my radar for quite some time now. I stopped in and found that it is a huge place with tons of space. A big warehouse was a good decision. The bar seating is long and inviting. They also have outdoor seating outside where they sometimes have food trucks. The bar is made of a huge tree sealed in some kind of shellac or something like that. Its beautiful and has big knots and pockets. The beers are great! I had a stout and a brown as I am so very over the 544798643 IPA's out there... Both beers were delicious and tasted how they should. The bartenders were all sweet and friendly. They are also dog friendly if you were wondering. Cheers!

Awesome brewery to visit! First time here and the beers taste amazing! I also love how the inside is. There are high seats, regular seats, bench seats, and more! It's super chill...and it's dog friendly! Definitely will visit here again to try more since it looks like they have different beers!

Burgeon is the best small brewery in North County SD! And one of our favorites! We've searched throughout NCSD for the haze and somehow Burgeon always draw us back. If you love hazy NE IPAs Burgeon does a great job. It's juicy, delicious, and so good. You know when a brewery is good when it's packed! They know how to make good beers here and you can taste their passion for perfection. Keep the craze for haze going!! Such a good brewery. Love their collabs with Pure Project and other breweries. The beertenders are always so nice and cool as well. When it's packed, parking can be tough but drive to the back, there's plenty.

Must love dogs. This is one of the most dog friendly breweries. Australian Shepards and Alaskan Huskies reign supreme. If you bring any other breed, you're the odd man/woman out. I was so excited to try the beer Burgeon Beer Co. there are very few breweries that are open late on a Sunday. What was cool: The decor - gorgeous wood gets me excited Multiple taps - lots of options Prices - most pints are $5 Food truck - because sometimes you want something to nibble on Parking - plenty of spaces Dog friendly - bring your pooch What wasn't that cool: I hate having to write this - the beer. Although they had lots of taps, the beer was bland. I got the Rolling Oats Porter on Nitro. It was smooth and creamy like a good beer on nitro should be but there was no flavor. No hints of anything :( My husband got the Treevana IPA and like the Porter it too had no flavor, and wasn't very hoppy. I'm hoping that these batches were just off vs how they are normally.

Burgeon Beer Co has always been a nice neighborhood spot to grab some excellent beer. They also have a rentable Party Room called The Greenhouse. My daughter and I had my late wife's Celebration of Life there and everything was exactly as we had hoped it would be. Melody the coordinator of the space was on top of all needs and exceeded our expectations. Whether it be suggestions, and ideas, or just being there to make sure all went smoothly, Melody got it right. It was a very emotional experience and with needing video, food, a charcuterie table etc, it was great to have the support. The room is beautiful and has a rustic charm with plants and carved wooden tables. It you need a space for 25-125 whether a wedding, or other celebrations, The Greenhouse should be given consideration.

Loving this place! Great beer, great selection and great service. Plenty of outdoor space and nice interior plus shuffle board. Check the food truck schedule too.

I really enjoyed the ambiance of this brewery, it has a woodsy feel to it. 5 oz tasters for $2. They have a variety of beers on tap but predominately IPAs so if your an IPA person, this is your place! Spacious brewery. Kid & dog friendly. Nice bartenders! Tour de Nelson (Saison): I was glad to see that they had a Saison with how many IPAs they have. Light & tasty.

One of the best overall breweries in San Diego with multiple locations and the friendliest staff. A must visit if you have not tried.
