Huge milkshakes and hearty salads n burgers. Quick, friendly, delicious. We arrived with 10 people and they took great care of us. Sweet craft brew selection, but the shakes took the cake. I ordered the Cobb salad and a soup, both tasty, and the Cobb was so big, others at the table were jealous. Solid spot in downtown Escondido.

After a fun day at the San Diego Safari Park, we stopped by Burger Bench, and we absolutely loved it. We ordered the Classic Burger, which was surprisingly juicy and flavorful even though we asked for it well done. The Mushroom Swiss Burger was just as impressive, with a rich, complex flavor that really stood out. The tater tots were a highlight, perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and served with your choice of sauce. I can’t remember which sauce we picked, but whatever it was, it was delicious! We’d definitely go back if we’re ever in the area again.

I love coming here, and u can't believe I didn't review it before! Made a stop in for dinner before I left town for a few months, and let me tell you, if you're craving a good quality burger with fries that you can dip in a delicious house-made ranch, this is the place for you! When you walk in, the restaurant is very open and inviting with the menu posted and the wall and over the register, and the beer selection open for everyone to see. And the server is always patient when taking our order. We ordered a Sunrise Burger and the Golden Rooster Chicken Sandwich with a side of fries and ranch. The Sunrise Burger had a fried egg on it that was so good with the bacon inside. Every bite had so much flavor, and it was good quality meat. The patty was smaller than I thought it'd be, but nonetheless it was still so good. The fires were fresh and hot when we got them, and sipping them in the house made the ranch was a great combo. The Golden Rooster Chicken Sandwich had a sliced green apple and a bit of cinnamon in it, which sounds weird, but honestly, paired with the fried chicken pickles, it was so good. Ranch Dip Score 9/10 Overall, I enjoy Burger Bench and think it's a great place for family, friends, or even a date!

Google
Looks like a fun place...this rating is just for the shake. I jstopped in for a milkshake which Google told me was the best in Escondido... It lied. The best thing really, was the straw!! Awesome straw with big mouth opening! Unfortunately, I couldn't suck anything thru the straw since the oreos weren't blended up enough... Seemed to be more cookie than shake. Meh. Secondly, it took like 10 minutes to get my shake (to go) - I just stood around watching 2-3 workers behind the counter talk and interact with each other and customers... The shake came from the back kitchen which was clearly busy... Hmmm, hello? Management? I'm being nit picky, but I didn't have the greatest experience for a 10 dollar shake!

Google
We were returning home from an all day event and both wanted a casual meaty hamburger. Friends recommended this place, and they were right. Good beef, good beer, casual atmosphere. In addition, the natural fries and onion rings were exactly what we like. An altogether excellent experience.

Google
BEST BREAKFAST in Escondido!!! The Bench Breakfast is where it’s at…2 turntables and a microphone! Top notch ingredients - bacon, homemade gravy and jam. My kids absolutely love coming. Great way to start a weekend!

Google
Nice spot for a good burger in Escondido. Easy counter service, but they still check in on you tableside. Good selection of beer and something to ear for everyone. Sunrise burger and chorizo burger were good. Parmesean truffle fries were delicious. One beer, one N/A beer and two burgers, and a side of fries came out to about $73 after tip, a bit on the pricier side for counter service but good quality.

Google
Gotta little of everything you'd want when it comes to a burger spot. Have the selection of burgers, chicken sandwiches, melts, appetizers, shakes n drinks. Saw beer on tap as well as soda on fountain 😃 Atmosphere is cool. Stand in line, order from the board, and find yourself a table inside or out. My son is picky, and even though most their burgers are specialty gourmet like, he only wanted meat, cheese n bacon, and that's exactly what they brought out. The buns are a little oily, and my son said the fries taste plain like plastic?? What does he know, haha? I loved it all. Try the bench burger....bomb!

Yelp
Excellent service and excellent food overall.....experts in making comfort food. I am a current customer who usually goes to burger bench for the weekend breakfast. Rurmor has that Burger Bench leadership is debating whether to eliminate it's weekend breakfast menu altogether due to profit and losses. I understand at the end of the day Burger Bench is a business however as a frequent customer its breakfast and staff is the reason why I am a reoccurring customer. There are 100s of restaurants in SD county that provide breakfast and I'll honestly say that burger bench breakfast is definitely in the top 1-2%. To Burger Bench leadership, I get it profit and losses matter however please don't take the breakfast portion of your business away.... You are definitely taking away loyal customers. As a Escondido resident I get it......business attrition is very high....... However, you guys are the consistency that Escondido needs. I'm sure you will figure it out and I'll be there to support it. Side note, you guys really need to open a restaurant in North Park or downtown San Diego you guys would absolutely crush it over there. It's really a no brainer. Breakfast lunch and dinner.

Yelp
The Bench has been a go to spot burgers and fries that doesn't come through a drive threw. Service is on point no real servers everyone works as a team. So remember to tip when you order gives them motivation. Cool layout indoor or outdoor seating is first come first serve but turn over is pretty quick.

Yelp
Burger Bench is pretty much everything you want a burger spot to be. Broad menu, great flavors, nice combinations of ingredients, fantastic sides, and an alright selection of drinks. I've only been here twice in the last six years or so, but I still have a pretty good overall view of this restaurant. This last time around, I had the Golden Rooster. It consisted of a thick slab of chicken breast, seasoned and fried, with a sweet coleslaw slaw, thinly sliced sour apples, and a tangy and spicy sauce on top. While I did think it was tasty, I must admit to being disappointed that I hadn't gotten a burger instead. The chicken itself was a bit too thick and I believe it would have been better as a hammered thinner cutlet instead of a larger breast. My son played it safe and opted for The Classic Burger with Bacon, minus the sauce and grilled onions. He's young, Yelp .. he'll learn. And my daughter very much enjoyed her Kids' Meal Cheeseburger Sliders. Also on the table were some outstandingly crispy Natural Fries, always pleasing Tater Tots, very tasty Beer-Battered Onion Rings, and surprisingly good Mini Corn Dogs. The latter had a nice, sweet batter, with a salty sausage inside for a tasty contrast and an excellent version of this classic. Being out in Escondido makes coming back here difficult. But, with a new location opened up in Vista, I will likely be able to come back and try more offerings off the menu here. And, admittedly, I very much look forward to doing so.

Yelp
Second time here, and like many, it wasn't as good as the first. Burgers -as the cashier asked, 'is medium ok?'- were ordered medium but came out rare. Like I don't know that it was even warm in the middle. On the other end of the spectrum, the Chicken bites were almost burnt, hard to chew and the meat was dry. I can't even give it another try. Sliders are amazingly small. Like cut it in half and you have a Costco sample. It was packed and they didn't give my friend a number when she ordered. So when her food came out she flagged the guy down and he didn't believe her. Went behind the counter then came back and quizzed her on what she ordered. :/ For the price, any side of fries or onion rings or tots, etc - a sauce should be included IMo

Yelp
I've been to Burger Bench a handful of times and was very surprised I never reviewed them! Burger Bench is one of my favorites in the area for a good burger. They've been around for a while and they keep growing in popularity with a new location in Vista now- hooray! We decided to hit the easy button this past Saturday and the four of us went out (my partner, myself, and my two mini-me's). There was something for everyone. Order at the counter, get your number, get a table, they'll bring everything to you- including any beer you order. Once you sit down, they'll get you anything you need. So, while it's technically not table service, I wouldn't call it 'fast casual'. My partner and I shared a flight of sliders: a fig jam burger, chorizo burger, and smokehouse burger. My teenager loved his smokehouse burger and my tween and a half really enjoyed his chicken club sandwich. They nailed the cook temp perfectly on all the burgers- even the sliders which is hard to do since they're smaller. Every burger was cooked to a medium level- nice and pink in the middle. We also ordered their half and half appetizer for the table- garlic parmesan fries and onion rings for the table. I love their onion rings- beer battered onion rings are a thousand times better than breadcrumb crusted onion rings. Their tap list has something for everyone- IPAs, sours, and even a beloved local beer- cali creamin' on nitro. The slider flight is perfect for sharing when you want a little something but you don't want to leave feeling like a little oinker. Speaking of feeling like an oinker, if you choose to indulge and really go all in....get one of their milkshakes. Over the years, I've had them several times. All delicious. Indoor and outdoor seating is available and I spied doggy bowls on the patio for your furry friends to join you. 5 stars! Long live Burger Bench!

Yelp
Was seeing a local show at the community theater and stopped here to get a bite to eat before the show. There was a special event and this place was packed, indicating just how good their food and fan base is. Upon walk in, you order at the counter and then get a number and seat yourself. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful, and You can choose between patio seating and inside seating. Seating was ample enough where there would probably be enough seating on a normal day, but a bit difficult with the crowd on this day. I do like they ask you not to take tables up until your order, leaving it fair for everyone. We ordered and sat at a long bar type table and waited till a more comfortable table could open, we waited about 5 or so minutes for that. The food came out fresh and hot, full of flavor. The fries and tots had a perfect crunch, and were paired with your choice of an accompanying dip. We got chipotle, garlic aoli, and ranch. The burgers perfectly cooked with just a little pink. The soda machine serves Stubborn soda and my son instantly loved the root beer as it reminded him of sarsaparilla he loved at Knotts berry farm. The only suggestion I would have for this place is better ventilation, or cooling system, especially in the summer as Escondido gets toasty hot and with how packed it was, it added to the temperature. After being in the sun and eating hot food, it was really toasty and uncomfortable. Overall it was a great visit and my family has already picked their menu items for next time, so we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Great tasty burgers! I got the slider trip (Fig Jam, Smokehouse, Chorizo) and Truffle Parm Tots. Sooo good! Brought my partner a few days later so he could enjoy the flavors as well. Clean establishment with some seating outside. They have an array of beers and ciders on tap. Staff was friendly and helpful :)

Yelp
For the area, this is a good spot to stop and get your tummy stuffed. But don't expect it to be mind blowing. I think this is a middle of the road place. It is locally owned so that gets some points. Came here on a chilly May weekday evening. There weren't too many people here but with the music playing and the hum of the street and staff, it provided a decent atmosphere for a meal. As soon as you walk in, you order. I would say that their menu looks creative. We had to pause and take a moment to decide what I wanted to order. I ended up ordering the chorizo burger because I thought it would give a little kick in terms of spice but the bite was pretty mild. As well as the onion rings, tater tots with Parmesan and truffle and the Inferno Fried Chicken which had their homemade slaw on it. The inferno was super flavorful and it would be my suggestion if you go. The truffle and Parmesan tots needs to be made with truffle oil rather than truffle salt. It wasn't super strong. It didn't really taste. They do have veggie and GF options if needed. We opted to sit on the patio high rise chairs because I had my dog. The outdoor part is spacious and open air. It's in the front of the building. There are plenty of seats inside. They also sell beer about 20 different beers and seltzers.

Yelp
Really this is a 4 1/2 star rating rounded up to five... So the first time I went here I was really impressed with the food taste and quality and I had ordered a burger, I don't remember which one. For today's visit though I ordered two different chicken sliders. They were just OK. I would not order them again. Next time it'll definitely be back to the burgers. Service was good and it's nice being able to sit outside in the fresh air. The watermelon water was surprisingly good but not worth $4.50.

Yelp
Was invited to a Mother's day celebration at burger bench for all the Mom's in my wife's family. Heard a lot about this place so I didn't want to miss this opportunity. I got a Classic Burger with Bacon and split a side of Onion Rings with my wife. The burger was delicious. It was a little messy but most of the best burgers are. They give you a bunch of Onion Rings in an order. The rings were crispy on the outside and onions were tender on the inside. Really good. Will definitely be back again.

Yelp
Tried Burger Bench and really enjoyed it! I had the Classic Burger, which was cooked perfectly--juicy, flavorful, and exactly what you want in a burger. On the side, I did a half-and-half of onion rings and tater tots, and both were crispy, golden, and delicious. I also ordered the chicken wings, which were decent but nothing standout compared to the burger and sides. Overall, great spot for a solid burger and comfort food. I'd definitely come back for the burger and sides again!

Yelp
This is a local burger joint in Escondido. The entire street is having a face lift and very safe to walk around. Free public lots and free street parking. Has indoor and patio seats. Breakfast from 8-11am every weekend. Lunch starts at 11:30. We had to wait in line until it was time for lunch. You order first then seat yourself. We ordered: -Inferno chicken sandwich: Cajun style fried chicken with a nice kick on a soft bun. -3 (sliders): gold rooster (signature chicken), fried chicken (has bacon) and smokehouse. Great way to sample some of the burgers. -Half and half: beer battered onion rings and truffle Parmesan fries. -Grand Avenue Chili: a bit bland but meaty There are beer, wine, milk shake options. I got a caned watermelon drink and it was so refreshing.

Yelp
Fun place for casual burgers with a solid selection of beer. I went with a friend on a Sunday afternoon and had no trouble finding free street parking nearby. I was worried because the line to order at the counter was long, but it moved pretty quickly. Service was very fast even though it was busy and Dawn at the counter was so friendly and helpful! We both received our drinks the instant we sat down and our burgers very shortly thereafter. My friend and I both got the Classic burger, his minus tomato and mine plus bacon. It was absolutely delicious and exactly what I was craving. Their Bench sauce that comes on several of the burgers was so good that we ordered more to dip the fries in. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The burgers are really good with fresh ingredients. The sides they offer are great as well. If you love craft beer, they have lots on tap. They do also offer a variety of non-alcoholic beverages. The milkshakes are fantastic - I've only tried the Oreo so will need to branch out for the next time. It does get super busy so be prepared to possibly wait for a table.

Jennifer N.

Yelp
Absolutely disgusting.. I found FEATHERS in my wings. They only offered me a refund for the wings not the whole meal.
google avatar

Ahmad A.

Yelp
Burger Bench never disappoints. Juicy, flavorful burgers with top-notch quality and service to match. Easily one of my go-to spots -- the best burgers in Escondido, hands down.
google avatar

Ken W.

Yelp
Today I took my teenage grandson to this location. There was a line of people waiting for them to open at 11:30. We both ordered the Classic burger and a side of sweet potato fries. I ordered a draft craft beer (nice list!) Service was quick and the order accurate. The components of the burgers tasted fresh and both of us liked them, as well as the fries. Servers were very friendly too! The place looks clean and well organized. The only negative is parking which is limited on the street but there is a small public parking lot behind the building. We'll be back!

Robert J.

Yelp
Place didn't really live up to the hype. Somehow I thought my bacon melt would be a hamburger, bacon, and cheese on bread instead of a grilled cheese with bacon. I was probably confused since the name of the place is Burger Bench, so I expected a burger. Oh well, it was still good, if not overpriced. My main concern was the portion size of the $7 tomato soup was amazingly small, maybe a touch over half a cup.
google avatar

Rachel L.

Yelp
Solid burgers. This is for a takeout order. I got the truffle tots, truffle fries, and sliders with the smokehouse, grilled chicken club, and Swiss mushroom. Truffle tots are better than fries here. Fries are not crispy while the tots are. Friends also ordered different burgers. The remarks were chicken burgers were whatever. The only qualm I would have is that nobody got their meat cooked. My pregnant friend asked for well done and her patty looked rare. The medium rare was cooked like it was well done. And the other medium well looked medium rare. Was very confusing. Otherwise will definitely order from here again.

Yelp
Great food and great service. We are definitely coming back to try their breakfast. Ambiance was inviting and clean.

Yelp
I really enjoy this burger place. The burgers are delicious. The also enjoy the open area. Great for the entire family. The staff is always helpful. I come here for the burger and their beer, my husband comes for the milkshakes.

Yelp
I was starving and thirsty from the 95 degree Escondido heat today and was also craving a burger so this definitely hit the spot. I got the Classic burger with no cheese, cooked medium rare. It was very good. But I love the tater tots. I've always loved tater tots. It reminds me of elementary school lunch times. And to quench my thirst was a nice big mug for a root beer float. Lovely meal. I liked that the food and drink came out relatively quickly. Not a lot of waiting, which I marveled at because the place was very crowded. My friend has recommended this place many times before but I just never had the chance to eat here. Now I do.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is about to be dope when that construction is finished. The service was good. Location is isn't bad either. The only item i did not like was the chicken slider. They are always dry no matter where they are from in my option. Everything else was solid. We will go back. Price wasnt bad at all.
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
My first time here and will definitely be returning because I'm such a big fan of their menu. I love that their menu is so big and has a large variety from burgers to sliders to sandwiches! I got a slider flight so I could try a bit of everything. They also offer a lot of sauces to choose from. The mini corn dogs were surprisingly my favorite item of what we ordered that day.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by Burger Bench on our way to Kennedy's Meat Market for our monthly haul. They're doing construction right on their strip on Grand Av but there was still parking in the area on a Saturday evening at 6:00pm. We walked to the restaurant and the place was packed as the place is on the small side. There were 3 small tables outside available and we were able to snag one. The prices seemed fair and the menu is pretty straight forward. We ordered the Chorizo Diablo Burger, A Classic Burger and Half/Half Truffle Fries and Onion Rings. We also ordered a coke but didn't know they have their own style soda machine named Stubborn Soda that we didn't want to try so we asked for a soda refund and just had waters. The burgers were great. Hot, fresh toppings and were pretty tasty. They use quality meat and ingredients that were well noted. The truffle fries and onion rings on the other hand were just so-so. I would pass on any fries or onion rings and go for another appetizer or try another one of their menu items instead. Going to give it 3.5 stars and we're going to try again skipping the fries and onion rings instead going for other appetizers and maybe one of those great looking shakes sense if it can go to 4 stars. Definitely give it a try.

Yelp
I went to Burger Bench recently for lunch with a friend, and we really enjoyed it. We sat on the patio since it was a nice day. You order at the register, and they give you your number to take to the table of your choice, and they will bring out your food. First I have to say, the woman who took our order was so pleasant and helpful. We couldn't decide which kombucha we wanted, so she gave us a few sips of each to try. We ended up choosing the Pina Colada flavored one as we liked it the best. I couldn't decide what Burger I wanted, so I got the three slider option where you can mix and match. I love that they do this because it's great to be able to try out different burgers. You can even get a chicken sandwich, which I did. I also got the burger that had a fig sauce spread on it and the smokehouse burger. The sliders were pretty good-sized, and I liked them all, but I'd have to say the fig jam was my favorite. They also let you do a half fry half onion ring basket, which again, is great for indecisive people like me. Since there were 2 of us, we both just got a basket of each. Both were very good, and I honestly can't say which I liked better, so I would probably get half and half. This is a great casual spot to grab a good burger or drink with friends, or even your family. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and they can get packed on the weekends, so be prepared. They also serve breakfast, which I just found out about, so I will update my review once I've had a chance to try it.

Yelp
Customer service 5 stars, food 5 star, ambience 5 stars. Food was fresh, customer service was present. Friendly and attentive servers. Music was playing, there was a tv on but it was not loud. Perfect for a little lunch date. I ordered the smokehouse burger and sweet potato fries. It did not disappoint. Unfortunately, I devoured prior to pulling out my camera. :)

Yelp
Third time having dinner here, never disappointed! Even great vegetarian options!! Five stars.

Yelp
Clearly the best quick-serve restaurant burger in Escondido, if not the entire North County. The $10.90 Classic is nearly perfect with a toasted brioche bun containing a nicely charred medium-cooked burger, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and chopped grilled onions. The veggie side had, as it should, some mayo on the bun, and the beef side their delicious Bench sauce. Unlike many premium burgers, the bun to content ratio is ideal and the whole thing doesn't fall apart before you're done eating it. It may just be my preference, but the beef is a bit chunky and chewy, whereas I prefer a finer grind that's more tender. My only complaint and it's a big one, is that you have to pay $5.70 (more than 50% of the burger cost) for a small side of fries. The COGs on the roughly five ounces of fries even at retail potato prices is only 20¢, so the markup is an absurd 2,750%. So 4.5 stars for the burger and none for the fries.
google avatar

Shawn S.

Yelp
Burger was really good, I would give it about an 8 out of ten, tater tots were good but nothing special. The shakes the people were drinking next to me looked great and the people said they loved it. 2 pre-teen boys had a hard time drinking it all. The had a great variety of beer to choose from. The guy who took our order and all of the other people were really nice. I will definitely come here again.

Yelp
My wife found this place on Yelp because of the great reviews. It was a little hard to get to because there's a lot of construction outside. The front Street is all torn apart but you can reach the restaurant by parking close and walking. I came on a Monday and it wasn't too busy. We ordered and found some seats right away. The lady who took our order was very nice. My daughter has a dairy allergy so we needed to find something without dairy. The lady answered all our questions and looked up the recipe for the kids meals. We ended up getting chicken bites and corn dogs. They were pretty good. Protion size was really good too. The burgers are a la carte so they don't come with fries or a drink. You have to order that separately. So the burger plus fries would be about $17-$21. I couldn't decide which burger to try so they have an option to order 3 sliders with your choice of slider for each. I got the BBQ, smoke house and the golden chicken. I also got fries on the side which comes with 1 free sauce. The burgers were very delicious. My favorite was the BBQ. I absolutely love bbq and this one was bomb. The smokehouse had a BBQ ranch but wasn't a sauce that went on it. My wife loved the chorizo burger, it had a chipotle sauce on top which was super spicy but she enjoyed it. All in all, it was a great spot. We loved it and we'll come back if we're ever in the area.

Yelp
The Burger Bench never disappoints! Service staff is friendly, quick to clear a table and always helpful even during the rush. The cilantro aioli is next-level. I'd dip just about anything in it. While their burgers are obviously amazing, I have to shout out their Caesar salad too. It's so good that I sometimes skip the burger altogether (seriously). Fresh, crisp, flavorful not your average salad from a burger joint. Highly recommend this spot whether you're craving a burger or something a little lighter!

Yelp
The food here is awesome. Great beer, awesome burgers and good vibe!! Burger was cooked well. I also tried their breakfast on Saturday and my veggie omelet was awesome!

Yelp
My favorite burger spot that I've tried in North County so far! Burger Bench is in downtown Escondido off Grand Ave. There was plenty of street parking when I dropped by on a weekday evening. There's a decent amount of seating inside with a patio and outdoor seating as well. This is a fast casual spot with counter service. They were pretty friendly and helpful when I went. They have a decent selection, a good variety of burgers among other things including the option for sliders. I got a mushroom Swiss burger with fries and a S'mores shake and everything was super good! It's exactly what I've been looking for in a (non-fast food) burger place because it definitely hit the spot. Glad I checked this place out, 100% recommend if you're in the area

Barbara R.

Yelp
Good BUT, Don't get the onion rings for 7.60-greasy and awful. Live and learn. Burgers are pretty small. Great place to have a beer and wine and watch the world go by. My salad (no protein-just arugula) is 14.50 now which is alot since you can go to swamis and get a salad with chicken or salmon for 16/17 bucks. With garlic toast.
google avatar

Jay B.

Yelp
My daughter says this is her favorite hamburger in the world. My wife loves the tater tots. I think it's alright. The service is top notch and they all seem to work together. They have tables inside and out. When we went on a Saturday afternoon at 4:30 there were only a few tables left and then the rush where there were none. It seemed like they were the only business on the block making money.

Yelp
Pretty sad how I have to write a bad review after a good one a few days ago. Shows you this place isn't consistent with their food, after today, I will not be wasting my money here again, 80$ worth of food wasted! I got 1 slider for my 7 yo thinking it would be perfect for him, nope, maybe a 1-2 yo but it was the size as a 50 cent piece. The smallest slider I have ever seen. All the burgers were pretty raw and I asked for well done, they were super busy but that shouldn't be an excuse, I couldn't eat it. I took 2 bites and I just couldn't, it grossed me out way too much! If I closed my eyes and ate the food I would of thought it was a different place, it was that drastically different, there was no flavor on the burgers at all and very little sauce, the bun was soaked in blood and I had to rip those parts off. The chefs forgot how to cook or something. The fries and sauces WERE THE ONLY good thing here. So sad, I really loved this place the first time we came.

Yelp
Brunch here is a whole different beast in the best way! We've been coming for dinner very often and never disappointed. However recently we decided to stop in for weekend brunch for the very first time and were amazed at the options and our experience. Ambiance was sweet and slow. The morning light hits so nicely and they play a slower music which really rounds out the sweet Saturday morning feel. We shared the chicken and waffles which were absolutely amazing. Waffle was nice and fluffy with a light crisp and chicken has a nice juicy bite with a satisfying crispy breading. It came with a house made gravy and onion rings which were both great additions to the sweet and savory combo. Staff is always super friendly.

Yelp
Fist time here to the establishment. Came in, greeted with a smile. Friendly and helpful staff. Ordered the Smokehouse burger with fries. My bud said they also make a really good breakfast burger. The burger as whole is good with the fixings. The patty itself is kind of small for the price. The patty is dry, or is lean meat, and not overly greasy or juicy but it was cooked medium like we asked for. The patty didn't taste like it had much seasoning or salt on it, but when eating it with the bacon, the BBQ ( really good smokey , not to sweet and yet tangy BBQ sauce) the lettuce , the sweet buttery bun, etc crates a flavorful bite. Not to strong, just enough to delight for another bite.

Yelp
Two of my students and I had a workshop to attend in San Marcos. So looking for a place to eat, I found BB. One of my students just likes fries, so this place had some good choices. It's a cool space with indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the bbq bacon burger which was very good! I should've asked for it med well. It was a little too rare for medium. We also ordered plain fries and truffle parmesean fries. I thought the portion of the fries was small in relation to price, but that seems to be the norm right now. This was the first time my students had craft sodas. She: I just wanted a Dr.Pepper He: I almost said Sprite But they have a delicious Black Cherry soda! The staff was really friendly and there was good AC! Definitely worth checking out!

Yelp
I'm a classic cheeseburger kinda gal, but I was enticed by the Bench Burger. I was in the mood for something decadent and boy did this burger deliver. What stood out to me was the combo of blue cheese, bacon, and grilled mushrooms; a triple whammy of umami. I'd also like to add that I'm not the biggest fan of bbq sauce in a burger, but this was an exception. There wasn't that long of a line when I came for lunch and it was very spacious inside, along with plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. You just order at the counter, grab a number, and pick a table. Easy peasy. The staff was very welcoming and obliging throughout my entire dining experience, from the moment I walked through the doors to delivering my food to the table. I thoroughly enjoyed the craft sodas they had available on the fountain, the mixture of the cherry soda with their cola is fantastic. I often crave a good burger, so this is certainly going to be on my list of places to visit when I need to get my fix.

Yelp
This is a comfortable, order at the counter place. I love the skylights and wood detail. Happy hour Monday-Thurs 2-4. My Blackberry Cherry Hard Cider! Not sweet. Willing to give a taste of the cider ahead. Friendly staff. Burgers are fresh angus beef, never frozen. It lists vegan options, but very limited. Buns are brioche, egg. Black bean burger was yummy with grilled veggies on top, a little soft but actually great texture and flavor. They have dressings and soups made from scratch.

Yelp
Hot, fresh food and a really solid beer lineup. Family-friendly -- our kids love the sliders. The gluten-free burger is my wife's favorite.

Yelp
Burger Bench has some of the most delicious hamburgers to choose from. The order time is always short (even when the line is long). The fool's is delicious and the presentation is appetizing. We come here about once every two months and are pleasantly surprised every time.

Yelp
When my wife said we should to have breakfast at the Burger Bench, I didn't think a burger joint would have good breakfast, but boy was I wrong. This place's breakfast was amazing!! The staff (Ethan and Aly) was super friendly and helpful as well. I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Yelp
What a surprise! I had a black bean burger that was delicious. A very popular spot to eat and everything looked amazing. I can't wait to go back when I am in town.

Yelp
Great food! Fast service! Tots and burgers the best. Yummy shakes too! Breakfast burritos are the best in town.

Yelp
I've been several times at Burger Bench and I can confidently say they're getting better with time. EVERYTHING was delicious, we ordered the smokehouse and a sunrise burger, wings and truffle parmesan fries. I must say that I hope that in a near future they bottled and sell that garlic and chipotle aioli, both were amazing and a great addition to the wings and fries. Service was great and every time I come I love the music they're playing. If you haven't come here yet, I HIGHLY Recommend it!
