Burger Boy

I got the Burger Boy Classic, which reminds me of what the Big Boy used to be in the 1980s. It was absolutely delicious. I almost ordered a second one since it was so good. The service was very good. They take credit cards. The place is small, and I actually got lucky since there was only 1 other table that already ordered their food, and 1 person in line waiting for their takeout, in front of me. It was 4:00pm on a weekday. I am not sure what the weekends are like, just a heads up.

Hello, Yesterday evening, more like 230 this morning. I ordered food and took it home. After taking one bite, I realized the burger wasn’t even remotely cooked on the inside. I have pictures if you’d like to see. My order was 287. I would like my order refunded please I just tried calling multiple times and the phone just goes to a voicemail that is not set up. Also, the gal working last night was extremely rude. I asked her multiple times for my order that was sitting right next to her, complete and she acted like she didn’t even hear me. I ordered the burger boy classic combo. The burger was 🔥. I like the big Mac look. The fries were seasoned to perfection. I don't know if it was grippos seasoning or not but those fries were 🔥 I definitely want to try something on that breakfast menu,and everything is cooked to order

Just ate at here and wow!!! Everything was amazing!! Amazing service from Morgan the whole time. His service was something I never expected walking into a burger joint! We WILL be back not only because of the amazing food but when you get outstanding service like we did from Morgan then it’s a no brainer about coming back. Please owner’s give that man a huge raise and his own burger place to run for y’all!! Get you another Morgan for Burger Girl!! The food was great at Burger Girl but service was not great there. Blueberry pancakes I believe they were made by Jasmine were easily the best I've ever had fluffy and cooked to perfection. Scrambled eggs were also cooked just right . Sausage was absolutely delicious. Color me happy 😊. Would highly recommend Burger Boy. Great coffee as well.

Late night or early morning buger boy is open 24/7 yes and serving breakfast or late dinner anything anytime...let's start off with very clean and busy but you wouldn't know. I got the burger boy meal. It was so good... real burger and like fresh to order. If you haven't stopped in it's a must...trust me.

I paid almost twenty bucks for what you see in the picture. Not worth it to me. I was hoping for some lower prices or at least a nicer burger or larger portion with the prices I got. It was supposed to be a $10 burger and $4.50 for a fries and drink with it. I paid a 20% tip and wound up at over $19.

Flies and fruit flies with open containers of raw/cut produce i.e lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc.. I personally saw both numerous regular flies and fruit flies flying landing on produce and food. The employees are nice but hygiene is NOT GOOD. If you don’t mind your burger with a side of fly eggs sure, this is your go to place. Literally only takes seconds for a fly to disperse its eggs onto food it lands on. Also long wait time as there’s only 1 cook in small cooking area but also it’s made to order. I know they’re not hauling the bugs inside but maybe there could some type of preventative measures to insure flies and/or fruit flies do not stay inside and have the opportunity to land on the prep area and customer’s food.

I had a great experience. I ordered through a delivery service. I got a quarter pounder with American cheese and provolone and lettuce and tomato onion and pickle with a little mayo. Everything was so fresh and delicious. I think it's the best burger I've had in a long time. I'm not joking. I never leave reviews. But I absolutely had to leave a review about how great this burger was. The only issue I ran into was my drink was wrong. And I thought about dropping a star for that reason. But that burger was so good I decided not to.

Food was good. The service was better, and it feels like a dinner. Friendly environment.

Burger Boy is your classic dinner- open 24/7 and always serving breakfast. I've ate here a few times and often get breakfast or a burger. Today I was in the mood for chicken tenders and the awesome fries! My lunch mate got the breakfast wrap and really enjoy it. This is a classic if you like dinner food, need a late night bite!

I had an amazing time here at Burger Boy Diner. The food was just super tasty and very fresh. The service was very polite and respectful. The ambiance was chill and pleasant. 5 stars.

Burger boy slogan is if you're up we're open, I woke up at 4:00 a.m. I waited till about 6:30 to go get something to eat. When I got here they told me that they were closed and weren't taking orders. However, they were still cooking orders right in front of me. They just didn't want to take my order

Typical greasy spoon. Not your typical omelette but it worked. Seemed slow business wise for a Sunday afternoon but is prob just a local spot.

I needed a late night bite since I slept all day Sunday and thank goodness Burger Boy is open 24/7 and has delivery! I ordered the burger boy special which is a doubly patty burger with fries and a drink. The burger is cooked to order and arrived still hot! Normally when I go to the restaurant it's a little intimidating with the person at the grill having orders yelled at them from the person at the cash register but the service is always very quick. The restaurant is a lot bigger and less crowded in the back at 1am than it is other days of the week! If you need a quick bite to eat try Burger Boy!

Great burgers any time of day! Food: the food is cooked fresh in front of you and is always a hit. To have the best experience get a cheeseburger and an order of chili cheese fries. They even have vegan options like a beyond burger! After ordering at the counter you can get your food to go or eat indoors or at one of their outdoor picnic tables. The wait time for your food can vary depending on how busy they are. There is usually only one person on the grill and another on register. The longest I've waited is about 25 minutes, the shortest is 5. Plan accordingly and give yourself enough time to wait incase they are in a lunch rush. Parking: it is only street parking however this it is located on a quieter street so finding a spot nearby isn't terrible.

One thing my fans have learned about the Fat Man is that he loves a good burger. They are one of my favorite things in this world. So, we stopped at Burger Boy while out and about in Louisville, KY. Burger Boy is a low-key joint open 24/7 for burgers, deli sandwiches & classic American breakfast fare. I tried the Old Louisville Burger, made with a ¼ burger, bacon, over easy egg, and provolone. The burger was cooked perfectly, with crispy edges and a juicy interior. It could have used a touch more seasoning, but it was tasty. While out of the bag, the bun was fresh, and the bun-to-burger ratio was good. The veggies were fresh and crispy, the egg yolk was perfectly runny, and the bacon was crispy and chewy. The cheese was melted over the burger and offered a salty and very subtle sweetness to the bite, cutting through the creamy egg yolk and saltiness of the bacon. I also ordered the Chili Cheese Fries. This dish comes with cheddar cheese and house-made chili and is served over seasoned fries. The fries were cooked well, and the seasoning added to the flavor of the chili. It was full of meat, tomatoes, and beans. Their chili was thick with excellent taste, a touch of sweetness, and a good peppery heat finish. The cheddar cheese was spot-on gooey and added a great saltiness to each bite. The fries were adequately coated in both cheese and chili. My wife went with the ¼ burger fully dressed in cheese and seasoned fries. Again, the seasoned fries were cooked to a crunchy outside with a soft inside, and the seasoning tasted like a BBQ-type seasoning, sweet with a bit of heat on the end. The burger is cooked perfectly with crispy edges while still being juicy. The veggies are fresh and crunchy, and the mayo helps cut through everything while giving some needed creaminess to each bite. Burger Boy has an extensive menu that includes breakfast and late-night eats. The servers were lovely, and the food came up fast. The Fat Man says that Burger Boy is Fat Man Approved with 2 chins.

So,the last time I was here,I went to put a tip in the tip jar, and before I did, I asked the cashier if the tips are split between them and the cooks... and her answer was NO!The tips go only to the cashiers,so I thought about it and gave the tip to the Cook because they do a large majority of the work!No way the cashiers should get all those tips to themselves!!

I have so many memories at this diner! This restaurant doesn't need all the fancy bells and whistles to be able to provide good quality food at a great price. Any cake that they offer in the little glass display is worth trying. From their breakfast menu to their lunch and even dinner this is a diamond in the rough in old Louisville. Their staff is always fun and unique and there isn't any stigma of who dines there every walk of life comes here and all are greeted equally the same and welcomed with open arms. You can't dine here without picking some classic song from the jukebox! And you have to try their loaded fries!

Burger Boy has been on my list of places to try for a while and I finally got the opportunity over the weekend. There is street parking and we were able to find parking pretty easily. Once inside, we placed our order at the counter and then found a place in the back to sit. Not sure if they were short staffed or not but the floor was slick from grease and most of the tables had empty baskets/glasses on them. We found a table in the back that was luckily empty. There wasn't any signage as well to notate that the floor may be slick. Onto the food: I ordered the Burger Boy combo with cheese fries and a side of ranch. The burger was good and well seasoned. I wasn't a fan of the sauce but that was just a personal preference. My fries didn't have the cheese so that was a bit of a bummer. Overall, it was good but maybe not everything it had been hyped up to be by others. I did enjoy the burger though so I would give it another chance.

In the spirit of Louisville's 2023 Burger Week, a week when 25+ restaurants offer $7 burgers, we found ourselves browsing for places we hadn't tried yet. Burger Boy Diner is on South Brook St. in the Old Louisville area. Burger Boy is a 24/7 diner and a burger on a regular night is only $8. Despite being what might be considered less gourmet, this option was appealing because they included fries, allowed takeout, we had never been, and it was within a couple miles from home. My husband stopped in to place an order and there was a 45 minute wait. We're close, so this wasn't an issue for us. He placed the order and came home to wait on it. They were upfront about the wait and service was friendly. We order two of the following- BURGER WEEK QUARTER POUNDER Fresh 80/20 Angus beef, with melted American Cheese, Special Sauce and fully dressed! On a toasted bun, and served with a small order of our Famous Seasoned Fries! This burger was your all-American burger. The toppings were stacked. The tomato was fresh and thick and the pickles were plentiful. The fries were phenomenal and the well-seasoned. I actually couldn't figure out if the special sauce on the burger had spice, or if it was lingering on my tongue from the fries. Either way, the combination hit the spot. This diner is open all-night. The accessibility alone makes it desirable. It's as cheap as fast-food, but far less disappointing. If I were still living out my party years, I could see myself ending every Friday and Saturday night with a meal from Burger Boy. Do yourself a favor, don't skip the fries.

Great late night spot. My group had a burger, fries, and a malted vanilla shake. Everyone was satisfied and the food was out relatively quickly. Very friendly and a typical late night mix of people.

Made a point to go by this diner after coming across it in a Yelp search and support of local. My first impression was "CLEAN" and that it might be a neighborhood cliche. Not many employees are needed for this timeless diner but they were both very welcoming. Just a few customers at 8:00 a.m. on a Friday. Menus are at the register which tells me you might order/pay there all at once. My order was "to-go". BYO wrap of sausage, eggs, and American cheese in a slightly grilled white tortilla. Since the cooking is done in plain view, I watched the sausage and eggs cooked to order and there was no skimping on the cheese. They have cinnamon rolls, cookies, and cakes on display that looked so delicious I had to buy a couple of the cinnamon rolls as well. The visit turned out to be a good one and won't be the last. They are open 24/7 with Breakfast anytime.

The staff here is the best. I really appreciate the upbeat attitude every time I'm here. The bison burgers are fantastic.

Burger Boy has been a Louisville staple for the longest time. I've heard about it over the years but never really made my way there until this past Christmas Day (I had to work and didn't feel like cooking after I got off) to my surprise they were open all day Christmas. I didn't review then because it was my first time being there. It was very busy Christmas and did wait awhile. This visit was after my Yelp Elite week perk event. I wasn't ready to eat my sweets and I remembered this place and decided to come here. It wasn't very crowded and I didn't have to wait long to be waited on. The employee behind the counter seemed frustrated but not towards me. My order was taken and I did wait a few minutes for my food. When my name is called out I go to the counter to get my food, they don't have table service here so everything is done at the counter. I got everything but my drink and the employee behind the counter said she'd get it shortly but continued to take other customers orders finally after waiting a few one of the cooks asks me if something is wrong and I tell him I'm just waiting for my coke, he gets it for me no problem. She also had another table waiting for their drinks as well but takes it to their table. Now to the food. The menu states all burgers are cooked to medium. I prefer well done and I actually didn't know this from the previous visit until I looked at their to go menu. The burger was good the first time so it being cooked medium didn't bother me. This visit I got the Old Louisville Burger w/o Lettuce, Onion and tomato. I picked off the pickles and ate them. There was only one slice of bacon on the burger which was a kicker for me because most places put more than one piece of bacon on their burgers. The bacon was cooked perfectly so there's that. I have no complaints about the seasoned fries they were delicious. I give 3 stars for a few reasons. Employee who took my order seemed frustrated about something even though I know it wasn't directed towards me while taking my order. There was also where I was having to wait for my drink but continued to take orders. The dining room in the front is small but kinda cozy in a way. They have a dining area in the back but it looked closed off. You maybe waiting beings every thing is made fresh and I do like fresh food. I give props to the cooks especially the older man who came out and asked everyone dining in if our food was good and of course it was. I do plan on coming back I just don't know when. Maybe I caught this employee on a bad day and hopefully things got better for her. But, like their Motto says "If you're awake, we're open". (Side note, there is a Burger Girl on Frankfort Ave.)

Fantastic for the price. $10 burgers that taste great. Crispy buns and tasty patties. The resultant is clean and the staff friendly.

This is a great 24 hour diner with good burgers, good breakfast, and great corned beef hash! The ambiance is relaxed and casual. Service is fast and friendly.

Be warned: if you order for delivery, you are ordering through delivery.com and not the diner itself. Ordered two cheeseburger combos. 1.5 hours to receive. After 45 minutes had passed I called the Burger boy number from email and delivery.com answered phone. They said they tried to contact driver & got no response. I then called Burger Boy directly and call went straight to voicemail and recording said mailbox was full.

I went to burger boy for the first time since being in Louisville , plus in seen a lot of African American which is a plus. I went in fist thing I notice is the guy at the register didn't greet me but greeted the person in frount of me . Ok maybe he didn't see me . I stood in line and waited for my turn 2 family's was a head of me . As I'm waiting I see that he never spoke to any black person the came in but every white person . Once's he took my order and I waited . Once's I got my food I went home my burger wasn't done still bloody which I went back to the place ... and tired to show the same guy at the counter so I can get it remade . He proved to yell at because another customer over heard . At this point I don't want the food I just want a refund . Instead of a refund , I was called bitches and slow because I didn't want food there anymore and was told I wasn't getting shit . He called the manger and the manger was too lazy to authorize him to Give me my money back . The American American man came and apologized and said he can be a dick some time . How can we solve this. I told him he said he would remake my food they would let him. I seem so many people. A lot of my people come there and they are racist af.. I'm

Excellent experience! Upon arrival, quick service to place my order and got my food within 5 minutes. Currently you can only eat outside. Dine in area set to open around 11.20.21 Easy street parking area. Staff was amazing and food flavor was superb. Burger was fantastic but I really loved their seasoned French fries. They were crisp hot and just the right amount of spices. They have plenty of items on their menu beyond burger combo. But burger combo was perfect quantity and value for a quick lunch.

I was visiting in town and happened into this establishment by word of mouth. The place was suggested to me three different times, by three different people. The location, building and interior said it was local vibe. There is a front dining area and a "back room". The rooms are separated by the front counter and the kitchen. We ordered the burgers (many to choose from) and the fries. The burger was a tad too done but otherwise it was great. The fries stood the test and I finished really out of my lane by drinking a Coca Cola. That coke tied the whole diner experience together. BTW.... we conversated with two other guys in Burger Boy. They were eating breakfast in the afternoon. I thought it a little odd until I found out later Burger Boy has one of the best breakfast's in the city. Great food and homey atmosphere!

Food was fresh, service was friendly and quick, hole in the wall (but clean and tidy!) We searched for a quick breakfast on a Sunday and this diner fit the bill! Having visited Burger Girl prior, we were happy to find that both locations are superb!

Hmmm I wasn't super impressed by this place. My sister came by here to get carry out since COVID. I got the bison burger while she got a normal one. We got fries to share. It was filling! But the bison burger was a little bland. The fries were phenomenal though! Well-seasoned and absolutely wonderful! I'd come back just for those.

We stopped in here for lunch while visiting the area, and I was pleasantly surprised. I got the double cheeseburger and it was one of the better cheeseburgers I've ever had. The guys working were very nice and patient with us, as we out-of-towners figured out what we wanted. If I am ever back in the area, this will be my first stop for sure.

Came here during the Louder Than Life Music Festival in 2022 since it was on the Jack Harlow Apple Maps City Guide, decided to just check it out since my boyfriend and I were just in Louisville for the day. The diner is much smaller than I expected it to be which isn't necessarily a negative but it has a back dining area which was closed off during our trip and when more people started to arrive, it became crowded. The employee looked very busy and frustrated when taking our order, you could tell he was trying to take our order as fast as he could. I know it wasn't directed towards us but at the time of ordering, it was just my boyfriend and myself. I ordered an Old Louisville Burger and it was pretty expensive for a small burger. The fries were pretty tasty and well seasoned. The burger was juicy, well seasoned, and the egg was nice and runny. I just can't justify the price tag for a single diner burger, but it was good for the novelty of visiting a loved diner in Louisville while I was there.

24/7 diner do those even exist after COvid? Thank God. Some times I need something like this, when I wake up and there's no food in the house. Avocado BLTS are so good, mushy ripe avocado on sourdough the bacon is super thick but you have to rip off the fat. Don't sleep on the French fries-- they are similar to ollies trolley like a mix of olleys seasoning with a bit of bbq seasoning. Cinnamon rolls are homemade and yummy esp microwaved. Don't expect them to ever answer the phone, and expect to wait about 10-15 minutes to order and another 10-20 for your food. It's a 30 minute experience no less, but for 2 am food there's no other option and it fills you up to sleep good.

The worst food and service ordered my food at 11:30 and didn't get it until after 12:30 ask for a refund had to go too work was told, I wouldn't be able to get one unless I wrote my name and number down for the manager to call me. Don't even know why I bothered my fiancé said the food was nasty anyway. Should have went to Waffle House.

You haven't lived a full life without trying Burger Boy. Open 24-7 like a 7 Eleven, for reals. Carry out, take out, dine in, whatever you feeling they can do. The small location stays pretty busy, but worth the wait. Street parking only too but there usually a couple of spots open nearby or on the block. We called in an order of The burger boy combo and extra fries. It wasn't ready when we got there but they had a full front room and a couple of call in orders ahead of us. Super friendly service, one person manning the grill. But so worth the wait. The burger was cooked medium well and had this delicious sauce that had just the right amount of spice. The fries were seasoned and a bit spicy on some spots. So good tho, I can't wait to try more.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would . My husband and I came in on Sunday night after the louder then life festival. We wanted to go eat somewhere, and saw this "diner " was open 24/7. We got there at midnight, and didn't end up getting our food until 1:47 AM ! An HOUR and 47 MINUTES LATER! And all we ordered was chicken tenders & a cheeseburger . There was a woman and a man behind the counter . The " diner " was non existent. They had it all blocked off . The counter top, you could not sit at . It was absolutely horrible. The woman kept taking food dash orders and making those orders before the people in the restaurant. There was over 20 people that also waited just as long as I did . They would do the DoorDash orders first. I was so disappointed. I asked for my money back and the women said she could not do that for me it would not allow her to. I would not recommend this place . They don't know what costumer service is. The woman was rude , overwhelmed, and taking it out on the man cooking the food who was deaf, talking about him badly because she knew that he could not hear her . It was an awful experience to say the least , and I would never go back. And for the food , it DEFINITELY was not worth waiting that long for .

Absolutely amazing burger. I stopped in late in the night as I was passing through on a road trip. Service was great, super fast and a good price imo. I wish I had a 24/7 spot like this closer to me in Cleveland!

We stopped by for a late night carry out. After a day at Kentucky Kingdom we wanted classic diner food. Burgers, milkshakes, fries, and a slice of cake. It was busy at 10:30 and stayed a constant hum the whole time we were there. If you are in the mood for good, all American fare - Burger Boy Diner is the place to try

This place use to be a go to joint for Good diner food. Now not so much, I guess the pandemic is taking its toll maybe that's it but it's just not what it used to be. You walk in there's dirty tables outside the garbage cans overflowing, see my photos. I walk in, I'm greeted at the cash register with "I can't take your order I've already cashed out I don't know when the next waitress is coming in she's supposed to have been here by now I guess she'll be here in a little bit. come on, really? That's the best we can do? Okay Burger Boy see ya, I'll head out to another place. It was real thanks.

Thee best burgers & fries in town! And many other delicious foods on the menu! Any friends or family that come to visit me from another state, I bring them here! The staff is amazing every time, so kind and funny. I appreciate how laid back environment is with their decor and setup. They never disappoint!

This place is amazing with a huge capital A!!! They are open 24/7 365 and it's right in the middle of old Louisville. We place a huge order with almost every side on the menu!!! Veggie burgers to triple cheese with no bun!!!! The servers treated us like we long lost friends. This is a Military Friendly location!!!

I've visited few times and I stopped for the following reasons. Not organized: You don't know where they attend you, sit on the bar or just wait on a line by the cashier two feet closer then sit after you place your order. I've waited 15 minutes across from the cook and there was fairly 5 people total and wasn't acknowledged. So I went behind two people who showed up approximately 10 minutes after and stood by the register where the orders where being taken. So that's what I did then sat back on the counter. Other times it was orders taken at the counter. I don't understand. Chaotic, this establishment can have three people and looks like they're running orders for a party of 50 people. The waiters or servers or whatever they're called appear in a fuzz. They lose money too I am sure as they approach customers after asking if they've paid. They can't handle 5 people at times. No consistency with the food, I've been on faces of hunting bison burgers and bison meat around town and I've been coming here for that, among other menu items I tried, and even though it is frozen not fresh, but I have tasted different things in that burger which I order pretty mellow. So that shouldn't change. Some good breakfast burritos at days, other days, I left it on the counter and paid and left. So, diet coke is surely consistent here. Other than that. Good luck brothers and sisters. Not actually open 24/7, I've been here during sunrise, sundown, afternoon, you name it and the establishment was closed, dead inside. So I don't understand the false advertisement of open 24/7. For those reasons I stopped coming here. For ya'll Bon Apetit

Truly the best burger in Louisville, hands down. It's worth the waiting the waiting in line! Also try their onion rings, I've never had anything like them!

Does it really take this long to receive a refund? I've sent inboxes on Facebook (Jan 26, Feb 2, Feb 7, and now Feb 14 2022), only 1x has it been answered (Jan 27 2022). Also, sent an email that has not been replied to. Even went as far as providing pics and screenshots for proof. Jan 21, 2022 until NOW (Feb 14, 2022) is more than enuff time to respond to a very supportive customer with a concern. A VAILD concern at that. So, does it really need to come to shamin the business publicly before someone replies? It really shuddnt have to come to that. I placed an ordered online... arrived to the store to pick up order...all to be met with a sign on the door. No one ever called me. I even waited 5 days before I reached out via FBook Messenger. Someone replied back a day later, tellin me to give 48hrs. Np. Well, 48hrs never came apparently as I'm still waiting for a reply/resolve. And this is how they treat their very supportive customers. WOW! (Pic on door was taken at 5am! I left thinkin aww theyll call. NOT... I drove my ass back to take this pic just incase it wud be some bullshit. And here tf we! PROVIDED IT ALL... Est place for great food their burgers are awesome and if you not in a big rush to get your food because the big boy restaurant is always busy no matter what time of day or night you go there That's how good their food is and they are very nice and polite and respectful with all the customers They are under pressure to get all orders just right so if you are in a big time hurry you may get upset but once you taste your food you will have a big smile because it was worth the wait their cheese steaks are good also I have not tried their breakfast just yet but hear it's very good and it's anywhere close to any of the food burgers cheese stales and other food I have eaten from Big boys restaurant then it's a winner also great customer service always get a smile and a nice welcome every time I have eaten their love them great food with a great attitude towards their customers

The best food I've ever tasted. Burgers were great, shakes perfect 10, the atmosphere is awesome, best greasy spoon diner I've been to in years.

Every time I go the same guy is on the grill! Most of the time there's a wait and everything is cooked to order. No matter how many people place orders he always stays calm and focused and is super kind. It's take out only, not room for seating.
