Here’s Everything to Eat at Coachella 2019 | Eater LA

"Serving classic South LA-style burgers, this stand offers beef, turkey, and veggie burgers as well as a monster called the Whipper — featuring double cheese and patties, sausage, and pastrami." - Matthew Kang

Google
I had the meat lovers breakfast hamburger with cheesy fries and a drink combo. It cost $26 and it was delicious, tasteful, and flavorful. I told the lady who took my order that it was probably the best hamburger I have ever eaten. She goes on to discuss with me that the hamburger was decapitated in a religious manner. The cook said, the cow died a happy death. She associates this with the deliciousness. All I know is the meal was delicious, 10/10, a must try. The location is in the heart of L.A., if you eat outside you get to see all the colorful people of L.A.

Google
I don't say this lightly, it's the best non-basic burger I've had. The namesake features a chilli that has a fantastic sweetness to it, spices somewhat uncommon in an American chilli. The truffle flavor balances out fantastically. Onion rings were fresh and well made. The spicy Cali was fresh tasting, the jalapeños are sliced very thin, resulting in the not overpowering the burger. Make a point to get here.

Google
Solid as a darn burger could be. I heard about this place and often avoid downtown LA. But ob the whim it's a wise choice. The burger was juicy, thiiick, cheesy and was primed stuff with a punch of everything good. I mean I just got the Double and my bud got chicken aoili and bomb! The burgers were almost PERFECT! But the fries disappointed me. Sorry guy, you guys mastered the burger for sure, but those fries were average. That's why I took a Star away on armosphere I stead of the food. Felt wrong ;)

Google
I honestly wasn’t expecting to be this impressed, but this burger completely exceeded my expectations. I ordered the double cheeseburger, fully prepared for something heavy and overly greasy that would leave me feeling weighed down afterward but that couldn’t have been further from the truth. From the very first bite, you can tell the quality is there. The beef was juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly, with a great balance between tenderness and flavor. Even with two patties, it never felt overwhelming. The cheese was melted just right, adding richness without overpowering the meat, and it complemented the burger instead of masking it. Everything tasted fresh, intentional, and well put together. What really stood out to me was how light and satisfying it felt. Despite being a double cheeseburger, it didn’t feel greasy, sloppy, or heavy at all. The bun held everything together perfectly soft but sturdy and didn’t get soggy halfway through. Each bite was clean, flavorful, and balanced, which is something a lot of places struggle to get right, especially with double burgers. By the time I finished, I felt full but not uncomfortable, which is honestly rare when it comes to burgers like this. It’s the kind of meal that satisfies your cravings without making you regret your choice afterward. You can tell care was put into every detail, from the ingredients to the execution. If you’re someone who loves a good burger but doesn’t want something overly heavy or greasy, this is absolutely the place. One of the best double cheeseburgers I’ve had—hands down. Five stars without hesitation, and I wouldn't mind coming back for another one.

Google
1st time here. 9/27/25 Wow, wow wow!! I just had the regular double meat burger. I just have to say, it's one of the tastiest burgers for me this year. I'll be back.

Google
I had a craving for a turkey burger, and the restaurant I wanted to go to in Los Angeles was 30 minutes away. After a Google search, we discovered a burger place nearby. Of course, we checked out the reviews and looked closely at pictures posted online. Burger District was 10 minutes away and $11 with Lyft. Seating is limited, but there are seats inside and outside. We lucked out, and patrons were leaving as we ordered our food. I ordered the turkey burger combo. When I asked the owner if the burger was good, he responded, "If you don't like it, I will pay for it." The burger was seasoned well and topped with the right portion of fixings. Of course, I tried the side of peppers that come with the burger. Get plenty of napkins. The slightly salted golden shoestring fries were crispy and cooked to perfection. The owner came by the table to ask if he had to pay for my burger. I graciously said, "No." Great customer service. If you are in Los Angeles, put the Burger District on your list of places to eat.

Google
Burger District took me by surprise! The artwork was one of a kind, and the burgers exceeded my expectations. I tried the Threefle burger, and it was one of the best burgers I've had, perfectly juicy packed with flavor, and cooked to perfection. I would definitely recommend it!

Google
Solid Spot for a Quality Burger – Burger District LA First time at Burger District LA, and it did not disappoint! As pictured, I tried the Spicy Cali Burger and the Chicken Burger, and both were absolutely delicious. Spicy Cali Burger: The beef patty was cooked just right, with a great charred flavor that added depth. The heat level was just right—enough to be flavorful without overpowering. Chicken Burger: Juicy, well-seasoned, and a solid option for those wanting a non-beef alternative. The flavors were bold, the quality was great, and the execution was spot on. Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area, and I’ll be making this a regular spot whenever I’m in town. Starred.

Yelp
Surf and turf burger is always delicious. Friendly staff. I highly recommend, and you can sit there and watch the scenery since it's in downtown l.a

Yelp
So glad we stumbled upon this place because it was also near a bunch of other cool spots to try! It is a kind of small shop with maybe 4-5 tables to sit on, so I would recommend getting take out. We were travelling and were only able to eat the burgers a few hours later and it still tasted phenomenal! I was a bit worried that it may not taste as good if it isn't fresh and warm, but I was pleasantly surprised, when everything was still fresh and delicious almost 5 hours later! The servers were very nice and welcoming. They were flexible with the dishes and were open to most substitutions. When we were struggling to decide which burger to order, they kindly gave us the menu with photos of each burger to help us decide! I ordered the chicken aioli burger and it was definitely a hit! It was the right amount of flavorful and was perfectly juicy. The Threefle burger was also great! We got one of the patties on the side to eat later in case the two patties are too filling! They also gave us chipotle aioli sauce on the side for free! Since a lot of restaurants charge for sauce on the side, I was super happy to find out they offer sauce for free! The sauces were also fresh and tasted home made! They also mention that all their food is made to order and they are not a fast food restaurant so it does typically take 10-15 minutes for the orders to be ready. That's still awesome because they are making each burger fresh! Overall, loved this place and can't wait to be back to try their other burgers!

Yelp
Burger District in the Fashion District LA is a hidden gem for anyone who loves a truly fresh burger. Everything here is made to order from the juicy beef patty to the perfectly toasted bun. You can taste the quality in every bite, especially the patty, which is rich, flavorful, and cooked just right. The only downside? It's a bit messy to eat. But honestly, that's part of the charm when a burger is this good.Burger District is absolutely worth it.

Yelp
When downtown...and hungry for a burger...eat here. *Only if you are downtown near the merchandise mart. Otherwise, I wouldn't waste much time with this place. Why? The parking situation is miserable and the burger isn't must have by any means. This is not to say it isn't good. It's probably the best burger downtown. It's a good sized patty made fresh. A little salty for my tastes, yet it hits the spot if you order the right fixings. Of which they do not skimp. The fries? Nothing special. Too dry and over fried. The onion rings? Also too dry and crisp due to not using the correct oil and temp. Prices? Decent. Worth the hype? No. A decent burger with some heft and plenty of grease. Avoid the sides and stick with the double burger. The wait might be worth it if you jazz up the order with more toppings. Still searching for a REAL steak burger (which doesn't exist in most zip codes) I may open my own burger stand and set the world straight.

Yelp
Went on a Sunday, it was super packed when we first arrived then the place got super empty to where it was just us. Small establishment, indoor & outdoor seating, very minimal. Had to park a block away. Ordered, wait time was maybe 10mins, nothing crazy. I got a bacon cheeseburger, my friend got these cheesy fries. My burger was AMAZING! One of the best burgers I've ever had. My friend enjoyed her fries but she said it would have been better if they were less cheesy. The service was great! The cashier was friendly & patient with everyone & the guys on the grill smiled & put in work. I definitely recommend 100%

Yelp
I've heard great things about this burger and since I was in the area, I decided to pickup some burgers for my son and I. Parking was easy since there were several available meters. The restaurant is located on the corner of Santee/9th st in downtown. The ambiance is pretty cool with great art and color. The cashier was extremely patient and helped me decide on what to order. I ordered the District Burger combo. The burger is exactly what I expected. The crunchy bits on the ends and juicy patty. It's a smash burger but, still meaty if it makes sense! I had zero complaints. The burger was perfectly layered with lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. The fries reminded me of McDonald's fries which is a great thing! I highly recommend grabbing a bite to eat here if you're in the mood for a fire burger.

Yelp
This place is super tiny. Only like two tables inside and a couple outside. I got the surf and turf burger with onion rings. Nothing to write home about. Burger was pretty bland. They did put a nice amount of shrimp on the burger. The onion rings tasted ok. I only ate half and made myself finish the burger. Customer service was ok at best. I asked for one of the tables outside to be cleaned and it didn't happen. The location is it's a bustling area on santee/9th street, so you'll see many weird characters walking around and store vendors everywhere. Parking will be a big issue so you'll be extremely lucky to find a spot. Soo the surf and turf burger, onion rings and a can soda came to $24 dollars before tip. There are waaaay better burger places around down I would rather spend this $ on but try it, you may like it better than me. Food rating: Surf and Turf Burger 7.0\10 Onion Rings 6.5\10 Ranch dressing 6.9\10

Yelp
This spot was downtown LA off of Santee so parking is hard to find and it can be busy. Restaurant is small with minimal dining inside and a few tables outsidenane decorations were very colorful. Service was good and expedient. Their burgers have A LOT GOING on on them. EVERY SINGLE ONE is MUCH MORE than a burger patty and a bun! I got The District burger. It was good, but tbh I didn't get that feeling. I think maybe because there's so much on the burger. You know how sometimes you can taste each individual item? I couldn't could not. Morning stood out about the burger. That's not to say it tasted bad because it didn't. But to say it was FANTASTIC burger, I cannot. Didn't get any fries or anything to go with it. I think I'll try it ONE MORE time to be sure about it, but I'D LOVE TO HEAR WHAT YOU THINK after you try it!! Provecho/Bon Appetite

Yelp
Honestly one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. I've been craving a burger with a sesame bun for a while and this place does it right! Everything is fresh and full of flavor. And Val is the sweetest! I will definitely be back!

Rommel R.

Yelp
Name Truly says the food. Ordered the Threefle and Onion rings and it was delicious. Burger was huge and shared it with the wife. Definitely coming back again!. Owner was also nice enough to give us another can of soda for

Yelp
Food here is LEGIT and reasonably priced! They make some of the best burgers your tastebuds will ever be blessed with. The shop is located on the corner of the street with a few tables and they've got some cool art on the walls inside. Both times I've went it's just been two guys handling everything and they're hustling to make sure to provide good service while also serving stellar food -- just a warning to be prepared to wait as every item is made fresh to order. The menu has tremendous variety in terms of ingredients so just about everybody can find something that tickles their fancy. I've tried their District and Spicy Cali burgers with the clear standout being the Spicy Cali in my eyes. The fries are solid, not spectacular, and they include ranch, ketchup, and chilis with every order. They use high quality ingredients, season their meat, and make sure the burgers are assembled perfectly. I'd highly recommend you come here to try one of their burgers, you won't regret it!!

Yelp
Burger District is a great place to go for lunch, especially if you are in the Santee Alley/shopping district area. My wife and I found this place after a full morning of shopping and needed someplace to sit down and recharge. This place did not disappoint! The burgers were all cooked perfectly and were nice and juicy without being rare. The sauce that they put on is very delicious, I'm not sure exactly what it was, but it tasted great. The fries and onion rings were pretty standard, much like most restaurants, but still very good. The burgers do take a bit of time to get out to you, but that is because it is made fresh right there and it is well worth the wait. Overall, we enjoyed the food immensely, and we enjoyed sitting outside people watching while we sat at an outside table. There isn't a lot of seating inside or outside, but people seem to cycle through pretty quickly and we never had to wait nor did we see anybody waiting while we were there. We'll definitely be back when we're shopping in LA, it's worth it!

Yelp
We were craving burgers and stumbled across the Burger District in the Santee Alley. This is a very small shop with limited seating. There is also no AC , so the only air is coming through the open doors. Staff was nice and quick on getting our food out. We got their truffle burger (Threefle) with a side of fries. The fries were good, nothing special but nicely salted. We added ketchup and it ruined the fries, it was overly sweet and had a bit of an odd flavor. Not sure if it's house made but it was not good and I would pass. The burger itself was very very oily and greasy. The burger just tasted like truffle oil and the meat didn't feel seasoned. This may not have been the burger for us, but it was all we tried. I would be willing to return and try a different burger, but would not get the Threefle again.
google avatar

Septima M.

Yelp
Super super good burger! I was so excited to eat at jump! Fries, decent enough! They prolly won't travel well though, if delivered! The ranch could use more herbs but good enough! I got a double turkey! Super good deal all around and As I said.... Super super good. Service great too'. Quick and efficient! I wouldn't mind grabbing a table outside on the corner next time!
google avatar

Rain M.

Yelp
Burger is tasty and cooked perfectly. Patty is juicy and tender Service is fast and food comes quick Place is clean. Indoor and outdoor sitting
google avatar

Brendan F.

Yelp
Delicious burger and reasonably priced. Got a single burger for eight dollars before tax. It was a really good burger also got fries and those were pretty solid as well. I would highly recommend this place, I don't think there are any better options in the area. Not in the nicest part of town, but the food is delicious
google avatar

Theodore C.

Yelp
Service is amazing staff makes ordering easy. The burger were tasty. Loved the charred taste. Fries were crunchy. The place was a joint simpleand got te job done kind of place.
google avatar

Rafael T.

Yelp
5 stars, been living in DTLA and there's no better service. We got our order wrong and they made sure we had the best experience.
google avatar

Tamaiah T.

Yelp
The burger was juicy and seasoned well. The chili wasn't too overwhelming and didn't take away from the other flavors. Service was good, not too long of a wait. The art work was really dope inside.
google avatar

Genevieve A.

Yelp
Such hearty and juicy burgers! Came here while visiting LA and was not disappointed. It gets busy but they are efficient in their system and the like moves pretty quickly. It's also small inside so be prepared to take your food and eat elsewhere. The only thing I didn't enjoy were the fries, tasted like cardboard lol but the burger makes up for it.

Jawane H.

Yelp
I've been seeing Burger District LA all over Instagram, so when I was getting my pants hemmed nearby, I realized I was just a block away and figured this was my chance. And wow--this place absolutely lives up to the hype. I ordered the regular burger, and it was hands-down gourmet. The patty was juicy and full of flavor, and the sauce had this perfect little twist that made it stand out. Honestly, if I had this same burger at a five-star restaurant, it would easily cost forty bucks. But here, I paid less than $15 for the combo--burger, fries, and a drink--and left completely full and happy. Great food, great value, great find. This spot deserves all the attention it's getting.
google avatar

DJ A.

Yelp
HONEST review. MAYBE 3.25/3.5 stars I ordered the surf and turf burger combo. Cost me $21.40 When I first received it. It looked decent. Only to find out the burger patty was soo thin. Extremely thin. Disappointing considering the burger alone costs $13 before tax. Yeah the burger came with shrimp on it. But the 3 shrimp that was on it. Didn't compensate for the burger being so tiny. (I included pictures) I'd say order a double. But it's another $3 to add another burger patty. And it's just not worth spending $25 on a burger combo. Overall the flavor of the burger was ok. The house sauce they use was a little too sweet for my liking. Not really into sweet/savory. It kind of overpowered the burger. The fries were decent. But nothing special. And they offer can and bottle soda $21 combo and you can't even get a refill on your drink The price just doesn't justify the food you receive
google avatar

May C.

Yelp
This was a really great burger joint! The burgers were quite stacked and while gimmicky with options like surf and turf, the burgers were tasty so they're allowed to be! The food was made to order so very fresh and hot. I shared a double and the surf and turf with friends and both were good! Shredded lettuce kept the burger fresh and I will always ask to add a raw onion to the double because it was perfection. Fries were perfectly crisp and thinner style! The guys working were very nice, loved the staff. There was enough seating inside for 8-10 with some outdoor seating options. It's a casual place, clean after yourself, and then get going. Great prices too so will be back when the next burger craving hits
google avatar

Krista F.

Yelp
Solid burger, I really enjoyed the truffle triple burger. Also got the surf and turf but in my opinion too much lettuce but was an interesting combo. Was not over priced and fries were typical. Fast casual but everyone made to order.
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
This is a tiny space. It's counter service and then you find a table. It's nothing fancy! There was a steady flow of people either picking up food to go or eating here. Inside there's maybe room for 5 parties, and some outside seating. That said, after a night of partying when you need something in your stomach... this place is amazing! The burgers are great, the onion rings seriously good, and they have Mexican coke! What more can you need to manage the morning after? Service was excellent. The woman on the register was friendly and fast, the crew cooking were on their game. All in all I highly recommend.
google avatar

Amparo I.

Yelp
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They provide you with condiments right after you order. Which is nice really nice! My kiddos rated their burger -- one of the best burgers they've ever had. Melts in your mouth! We enjoyed the different fry options, make a great snack. The location is bit small but comfortable.
google avatar

Oscar P.

Yelp
We did a call order, when we arrived the female told the cook I told you they were coming. Food was not ready when we arrived. Food was terrible due to the fact both cooks rushed to prepare burgers.
google avatar

Danielle S.

Yelp
My double turkey burger was so delicious! Very fresh and flavorful. Their sauce definitely topped this experience off. My man had a beef burger and enjoyed as well. 10/10 Definitely going to double back to try more on the menu. ‍
google avatar

Angelica M.

Yelp
Well seasoned good quality Patties. We ordered the triple which came with mushrooms, caramelized onions and garlic truffle aioli. Top notch great stuff! The bun also came perfectly toasted so the burger was perfection! We also ordered the chili cheese fries and they came out piping hot and fresh. We also ordered the chicken burger and added cheese and bacon. The tenders were slightly overcooked but the sandwich overall was hot and fresh. Everything is made to order and the service was great! All of the workers were very friendly and working hard. The place is very tiny and seating is limited. I recommend ordering ahead of you don't intend on dining. Overall worth the hype and worth every penny! Highly recommend.
google avatar

Nancy G.

Yelp
Very small place you'll be lucky if you get a table 2 chefs very busy ! we met people and they said to get the surf and turf. They said it's worth a drive. We're waiting for this delicious taste. anxious to get our food.. delicious will come back
google avatar

Gabe C.

Yelp
Smacks! Certified delicious food!! Well made! Perfectly stacked burgers packing a ton of flavors! I got the Cali heat burger. It was tasty and spicy!! The onion rings provided a great crunch and the avocado provides a cooling break from the fresh jalapeño. Over all one of the best burgers in town. Friendly and helpful staff. Great addition to downtown's fashion district.
google avatar

Yelp
Burger district is a tiny hole in the wall in downtown Los Angeles. In the fabric district I think. They make smash burgers. Nice meaty beefy flavors. We ordered a double bacon cheese burger A single cheese burger Chili cheese fries. All three things were great. They use a unique sauce on their burgers. It's good. The double was very large. The people working there were all nice (not always true) There's plenty of depth to this menu. We ended up here because the other burger joint we wanted to go to (Bartz BBQ) was not open!! Would I go there again? Hell yes. Burger district produces a terrific burger.

Nick G.

Yelp
Really good burger spot in DTLA. Can eat for there or to go. Small seating area with seating outside as well. Burger was made AFTER you order, major key of course. Got the spicy Cali - I handle spice well so it wasn't too hot for me. Really flavorful. Fries were a B grade. Would definitely come back and for you all worried about safety YES ITS SAFE man
google avatar

Shabrin M.

Yelp
Visited Burger District at 7:30pm on a Sunday and there was enough seating inside and outside for more groups. I ordered a threefle burger which had 3 patties, cheese, truffle mushrooms, caramelized onions and garlic solo sauce and LET ME TELL YOU! That was an amazing burger. I'm still thinking about it days later lol everything is cooked fresh once you order. The burger smelled so good I couldn't wait to eat it and even tho it was super hot, I kept wanting to eat it lol it is a smaller space inside but people were eating and leaving pretty quickly so there were enough stools for people. Overall, would definitely come back and try other things on the menu! (Or even get the same, delish burger)
google avatar

Stephan J.

Yelp
The food is top tier! The service is amazing! And the AMBIANCE, I mean the lure, the aura! Everything a bout this place says get a burger
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing food!! I would definestly come back. Cute little hole in the wall Great service.

Yelp
WOW! Truly a hidden gem. I got the District Fries...they are awesome. Others got various burgers...they are outstanding This place is amazing...delicious...fast...friendly...reasonably priced. And did I say the food is wonderful...yes I did. If or whenever you are in the fashion district in los Angeles...you MUST visit the Burger District. Thoroughly enjoyed this culinary experience.
google avatar

Daniel C.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and get a Threefle...holy damn that shit is good! It has 3 patties, so come hungry! The fries are a basic fry, but fried well and their ranch is pretty good. I've tried their chicken sandwich which is pretty good too! Parking is terrible, but it's worth it!
google avatar

Josh B.

Yelp
Ok so the service was really fast and professional the girl was very cool, the restaurant is small and quaint with a few indoor and outdoor spots to eat, but that's all you need when the angus patty's are juicy and delicious, the ingredients are all fresh and the buns are toasted! I highly recommend

Heidi M.

Yelp
Delicious food!!! The Breakfast sandwich added truffle mushrooms SO GOOD we're Perfect
google avatar

Susan J.

Yelp
Saw this restaurant on IG and couldn't wait to try it. Small, cute corner joint with not too many choices (yeah!). Opted to split the Surf & Turf special ($13 + $5 for fries and a drink). About 4-5 shrimp that were cooked and seasoned well. Loved their special sauce. Fries were average. Breakfast sandwich was liked, not loved. Added bacon but wasn't quite enough. Cashier was friendly and offered paper menu for visuals of the menu options. Would go back again if in the area.
google avatar

Victoria S.

Yelp
If you're contemplating on whether to try this place, you don't have to contemplate any further... THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! The energy and the quality truly wowed me! We waited around 10 to 15 minutes, because everything is made to order... And I LOVE that! We will definitely be back! THANK YOU IRVING FOR MAKING OUR DAY! (We need more people like you in this world)

Yelp
Came here on a Tuesday night amazing food and good prices, good customer service and didn't take long to get served !
google avatar

Athena Michelle G.

Yelp
Food was amazing, I was surprised of the great flavor. It's not a chain store restaurant, they take their time with each meal. So he burgers was made special. The spot is small , but the inside was colorful. And the service was amazing. Ever excited to back again.
google avatar

Tana M.

Yelp
I only eat kosher meat and it's hard to find good veggie burger options around this area. But this place nailed it! The Beyond burger was incredible. Thanks for catering to plant-based diets!

Brian R.

Yelp
This place is delicious!! We had an order sent to our fire station and everyone loved the burgers as well as the fries. Burger taste as good as the burger looked. It had a ton of flavor and the fries had the perfect crisp to them. Thanks for all the support Burger District! We will for sure be returning soon.
google avatar

Jimmy P.

Yelp
Pardon my language but this place is F***ING AMAZING!!!! Tried the Surf and Turf Burger, The Threefle and an order of Cheesy Rings. Everything just blew my mind and my flavor palette was on cloud nine. The meat was incredibly seasoned and savory, the bread was well toasted and gave the burgers an added bonus, the cheesy fries had the perfect crunch, just everything tasted like heaven. I don't want to say anything more because people should try it for themselves and experience the joy of having fantastic food in DTLA. Service was excellent, Ben let us know that everything is made to order and everything is fresh and you can taste it in the high quality ingredients they use. The atmosphere is welcoming and pretty cool! This place is officially on my top 5 burger spots in Los Angeles!
google avatar

Ashley B.

Yelp
This place is FANTASTIC. My husband and I had lunch here after a few hours of shopping in the bead district. There isn't much else around for food besides street vendors and hole in the wall Mexican spots, which we weren't in the mood for. These burgers were something else and reasonably priced, too! We each got a double cheeseburger. I had just the basics of lettuce, tomato, and onion. He had bacon. I had cheese fries, he had chili cheese fries. Whatever they're seasoning their patties with, keep it up! It's perfectly flavorful without being overpowering. Fries were also cooked to perfectly. Wish this were closer to home/in a spot with more convenient parking because I would definitely make the trek to downtown just for these burgers.
google avatar

Corey N.

Yelp
NGL, they got the quality burgers you are looking for. Nothing forced on the menu and everything is high quality. The value for what you get is there as well. I've been here about 4x and the bacon cheese burger is what i get. They are timely, good atmosphere and the food is worth the parking trouble lol.
