"One of The Nations’ most elevated dining options, everything from the cozy booths to the impressive menu at Burger + Grain exudes approachable elegance. The dishes hailing from the open-concept kitchen include shareables like bourbon braised short rib dumplings and mushroom tartine, and mains ranging from dry-aged steaks to seafood and pasta. Wash it all down with a bourbon-forward New York sour or perfect Old Fashioned." - Kellie Walton, Alex Hendrickson

Yelp
I absolutely loved the charcuterie and cheese board we had!!! I wish I had taken a picture, but the tomatoes were excellent, several types of mustard, really great bread and jam.... Amazing! My only complaint was that the spicy tomatoes sort of contaminated some of the cheese and nuts near it, so my daughter and I couldn't eat that section. The goddess bowl with spring succotash is so fresh and delicious! My husband has enjoyed the burger and French dip several times. This was our first time visiting with him. All the staff we encountered were very nice! We went on a Sunday night early so it was not too busy. They do have high chairs. The restaurant is very beautiful inside. Would visit again!

Yelp
Burger + Grain did not disappoint when my wife & I had dinner here on a stormy Wednesday evening. I decided to checkout Burger + Grain because of a $30 off deal that I had courtesy of Offline creator & fellow Yelp Elite Brooklyn K. The place is moderately pricey so $30 off for dinner can go a long way & nearly negate a full entree or procure you two apps. First impressions were that the place is very tastefully decorated. Dim lighting, straight lines, open environment, granary as centerpieces, & with a very nice bar. It would be well suited for a date night, casual dinner, or fun night out with friends imho. Service was excellent as well. I'm not sure that it would suffer if it were a busy night either because all of the waitstaff were constantly moving through the dining area & collectively taking care of the guests. Our main server was very friendly & I let her pick my entree for me out of three I was considering & I'm confident she chose the best dish. The food was great. No complaints from my notoriously finicky wife. She went with the B&G burger & fries & I had the server chosen sous vide pork loin. We also tried the fried feta & short rib dumplings. As great as it all was the dumplings were a standout & I did not expect to get such good ones at an upscale burger joint. Also if you're a fan of pork (as am I) the sous vide pork loin is not to be missed. For dessert we went with the tiramisu which was perfectly executed with a touch of their own branding on the top. One of the better dining experiences in Nashville that I've had in recent memory. Looking forward to heading back & sampling some of their cocktails which I did not do this time.

Yelp
The name is a bit misleading. When I first saw it, I expected a higher end burger-specific restaurant... like Burger Republic or Burger Up. This isn't the case. There are actually only 2 burgers on the menu and 2 grain bowls. What is not advertised, is the fact that this is a full-fledged classy restaurant that's worthy for a special occasion. The atmosphere alone makes it seem like this restaurant is in the heart of downtown. On the menu, you'll find a nice range of shareable appetizers to satisfy varying palates. The main entrees are equally impressive, and the sides are large enough to share too. For those looking for alcohol, a nice variety of wines, signature cocktails, and beers take a full page on the back menu. Of the items ordered, it's hard to say which is my favorite because they were all very good. Glazed Pork Belly & Crispy Artichoke Hearts were the apps, followed by a 14oz Dry Aged Bone-In NY Strip with Truffle Pecorino Fries and Roasted Taleggio Mushrooms. The Glazed Pork Belly was perfect balance of sweet from the maple syrup, slightly salty, and crispy. The Crispy Artichoke Hearts were lightly fried, tender halves of artichoke hearts accompanied by a lemony-garlic yogurt. The steak was SUPERB. Tender, the right amount of salt, and a rich beefy flavor. One thing to note is that the steaks are dry-aged in-house, which is not common in Nashville where there are as many steakhouses as transplants. It's also delivered sliced to you, which I thought is a nice touch. It's also smart because it allows them to check if the steak is cooked at the correct temperature. Too many times have I ordered steaks at fine dining restaurants only to having to send it back. The truffle fries had that signature truffle oil taste with shaved pecorino cheese on top. I really loved the roasted mushrooms. A variety of mushrooms, sauteed with shredded, tangy taleggio cheese. This restaurant is a GEM of a restaurant located right in the heart of The Nations. I'll definitely go back.

Yelp
We live in the neighborhood and were only disappointed that we hadn't tried Burger and Grain sooner! Great food and service, beautiful space.

Yelp
I had a great dinner experience here, I checked it out with Offline and got a discount. The ambiance inside is way more elevated than anticipated. I felt a bit underdressed but luckily was not there on a busy night. I was going to go for their classic BG burger, but was drawn to the French dip instead. I was reassured by not one but two staff members that it was delicious. And it was indeed. The portion was huge, but very yummy. I got to take half home for lunch the next day. I definitely had a great time and experience. I'll be back to try more from their delicious menu

Lisa T.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant w/a heavenly scent of smoked wood! Excellent service by Shaylise who offered great menu descriptions and was so friendly. As a plant based eater I opted for the Croque Madame, minus the ham, for a creamy cheesy poached egg brunch sandwich along with a side of garlic potatoes and salad. So good!! Show this place some love Nashville

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch today, and had a great experience. I got the B+G Burger with fries, and the food was quite good. The combination of flavors provided by the toppings was really nice, though the patty wasn't particularly flavorful. Fries were good as well, with a nice seasoning. The interior of the restaurant is a bit upscale, which makes for a nice dinner spot or an elevated lunch experience. I sat at the bar, and the bartender was attentive and friendly. They have some great craft beers on tap, and a full bar for cocktails. While I would tend to agree that the prices on the lunch menu are a little on the high side, the service and ambiance are quite nice. If you're looking for a bargain lunch, this isn't the place for you. But if you're looking for a nice experience or perhaps a spot for a business lunch, this is a good spot.

Yelp
I visited Burger + Grain twice in two consecutive days, both times on their patio. While it's not huge, it's extremely comfortable and perfect if you have a pooch. Both days the service, the same person, was exceptional. The perfect balance between an attentiveness and letting you enjoy your time. The food was fresh and flavorful, with the highlights being the fish and chips, and an amazing Caesar salad. Most of the drinks are innovative riffs on existing drinks. I had a margarita that had a charcoal infused tequila and it was so amazing I ordered it again the next day. This is not something I normally do when I'm trying to sample the whole menu, but it was unbelievable. What an amazing addition to the Nations neighborhood!

Yelp
We dined with Shaylise ( ask for her.. excellent service) and ordered french dip, bison burger, steak, short rib dumplings, and, fried feta. Deliciousness overall! Ambience is gorgeous! Cannot wait to return!

Casey H.

Yelp
Never been to Burger + Grain before. Grabbed a friend to try this place out. We were sold on the French Dip. It was great. The bread was perfectly toasted. The meat was moist and tasty. I upgraded to the truffle fries. The server was very nice and refilled our water frequently. We parked on the street across from the restaurant but there's plenty of parking in the back lot as well. I would come back to try some of the other dishes.

Yelp
Burger + Grain, located in The Nations, is a fairly new addition to the Nashville food scene, and a welcome one at that! We had been eying the place since just before opening and finally decided to give it a try just after Christmas. I am happy to report that they are now fully functioning with a liquor license, so to all that had to wash down your meals with mocktails, you can head back to get the hard stuff now! The atmosphere of Burger + Grain is casual, but upscale, open, but also intimate and most importantly, welcoming. We walked in the door and were immediately greeted by the hostesses. We made a reservation for dinner, they located with ease and sat us immediately. The layout of the place is a very open concept with an open-air kitchen and butchery to the right, casual and bar style seating near the kitchen, along with formal dining seating to the left and of course, the gorgeous bar located in the back. We sat along the windows as a two top and were pleased to be able to see all the action of the place, especially the plates going to the tables! However, that did make it hard for us to decide on our meals. Speaking of, we went full 3 course dinner here. Started with the Bourbon Braised Short Rib Dumplings. They were PHENOMENAL! The short rib was beyond tender and the soy garlic broth was the perfect accompaniment. While the rest of our meal was great, these were the highlight for sure! For our mains, my husband ordered the Steak Salad and I went with the Pan Fried Bologna Sandwich. Yes, I know what you are thinking..."did he really order a bologna sandwich here?"...and the answer is yes, without regret! The bologna was the thickest piece of bologna I have ever seen and the sandwich was simple, yet refined. When you can make a bologna sandwich elegant, you are doing your thing and that is just what Burger + Grain did! The steak salad was perfectly dressed and the steak was expertly prepared. Dinner was outstanding! After dinner we hit dessert and selected the Not So Old Fashioned and a scoot of the Ice Cream of the Day. The Not So Old Fashioned is their play on an old fashioned cocktail, even serving it under a smoke filled cloche. The dessert was layered with orange cake, bourbon ganache, cherry mouse, cookie and bourbon soaked cherries all topped with orange zest. While it was delicious, I could have done without the smoke, but I get why they did it! The Ice Cream of the Day was a Chocolate Hazelnut, and you know I enjoyed every bite of that! Service was stellar from entry to exit. Our server and food runners were friendly and knowledgeable. I even witnessed a service opportunity at the neighboring table where the Manager became involved. She was wonderful to the other patrons and made things right without question. Overall, Burger + Grain is a new favorite of ours! So excited to have it in the neighborhood and look forward to returning many times! Oh, make sure you understand their business model and pricing structure. They are very transparent with the add-on 2% for staffing health care. If you do not agree with it, let them know instead of pretending they didn't tell you on their site and paper menu. They will even remove it if requested.

Yelp
I'm so happy to have Burger + Grain in the neighborhood! My first visit was for my fiancé's birthday dinner. We had been given a head's up about the liquor license situation and planned accordingly. The service was absolutely phenomenal! We were both so impressed. I ordered the French dip and loved it so much that I ordered it again on our second visit a week later. I don't know that I will be able to order anything else after trying it. On our second visit, I ordered the Gunpowder Fig cocktail, and it was absolutely incredible. We had a different waiter, but the service was just as good as our previous visit! The atmosphere is very beautiful, but not in a stuffy way. There is ample parking.

Tori S.

Yelp
A very cute spot over in The Nations neighborhood. Parking was easy! They have street but also some in the back if you were confused like me. We had a very sweet server that was consistent without being pushy! For dinner, I had gotten Ann amaretto sour to drink, and the French dip sandwich. The portion was perfect, to not be a fry girl, then fries were delicious whatever seasoning they use is great. Would love to come back And check out more.

Hayden T.

Yelp
We went during happy hour (which is every day of the week which is very nice) and enjoyed some of their drink specials - $5 champagne. Ordered the French dip and lobster tagliatelle which were both delicious. The service was very quick and our waitress gave great recommendations. The ambiance is very sheek and modern and would welcome both upscale attire as well as casual.

Ciara J.

Yelp
Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 I rate 4/5 because the liquor license is pending, so we tried a mock tail, which was tasty! I had the burger with fries--absolutely delicious with perfect presentation. I took pictures of the other dishes we ordered. I am looking forward to returning to try the short rib tacos [insert drool]!

Alley F.

Yelp
In between rating 3 or 4 stars but going higher out of good faith that comments will be taken into consideration! We tried to go here the week after their grand opening and had reservations for a Friday night. luckily I saw a friend go before me and when asking how it was, she mentioned they didn't have a license to serve alcohol so we went elsewhere. I would have been VERY disappointed had I arrived and this was the case when beer wine and cocktails were advertised on socials and menus. We went back to try last night (12/19) and they had finally gotten their liquor license the day prior. We made a reservation but did not need it as there were only 5 other tables dining. Our server was sweet and knowledgeable. Food was really good but to be really the first high end restaurant in this neighborhood I think prices have got to give a little. A the very least include fries with your entrees. (The fries were such a hit I would go back for just these!) I understand you've got to pay your servers but when there's more workers then guest eating.... That's on you. Our wine was great, they let us try two options to choose from. The dumplings were amazing. My chicken sandwhich was perfectly cooked and as mentioned the fries were amazing! Something you should probably note If wanting to try- this is not your casual burger spot like the name may sound. There is only one burger and they are more so known for their dry aged meat! I would like to come here for lunch but the lack of a lunch menu will keep me from doing so. I wouldn't eat a full entree for lunch nor would I pay $50+ for a lunch so feels like there needs to be some tweaking there. Excited to have this place in the neighborhood and really excited to try their brunch but really hope they adjust accordingly to fit the neighborhood. Eager to see this place packed out and thriving!

Yelp
One word. Wow. Burger + Grain was a much needed addition to The Nations. From their fantastic whiskey and bourbon collection to the amazing food, you really can't go wrong here. The burger is fantastic and my recommendation when visiting. The Steak Salad is also amazing. I honestly have not had anything here that I don't like. The decor and vibe is very appropriate and well done. I always look for three things at a restaurant: food, ambiance and great staff. Burger + Grain hits the mark on all three. Shoutout to Sam and the awesome bar staff here. The team overall is great here, and everyone makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in the door.

Michelle A.

Yelp
First timer trying out a new spot tonight in the Nations. I will say, the restaurant name is a bit misleading, as there's only two burgers on the menu. The restaurant was not overly crowded when we walked in, but we did have a reservation. Our server was charming and attentive throughout the meal. The bar was really pretty, and had a large selection of bourbons. They also have other spirits besides bourbon and a decent wine menu. What I liked about our server was she gave us the dessert menu along with the food menu when we sat down, as they have some coffee cocktails as well. I ordered the burger and fries and my friend had the Goddess Bowl with grilled chicken. Everything was cooked to order, and the portions aren't overly large. The fries have a really nice seasoning, that I think even has a bit of sugar in it. The burger was good, but I feel like it could have some more seasoning. I really did like their B&G sauce though. Parking is easy (and free) at this place, and everything is brand new inside. The ambiance is calming, and I even like that they use some dried grain as decor. If you choose to skip the dessert menu at the restaurant, there is a Jeni's ice cream right next-door.

Brooke C.

Yelp
Burger + Grain is a great addition to the Nations and exactly what the neighborhood needed! A place with great food and a slightly upscale restaurant. Don't be fooled by the name, there's only one burger on the menu. We ordered about half the menu and split everything, you really can't go wrong with what you order. The French onion appetizer was like nothing else I've ever had before, SO good! All of the meat was cooked to perfection from the tuna, pork and steak! Billy Lee, our waitress was extremely friendly and accommodating. The entire staff was all around wonderful. We will definitely be back soon!

Teresa H.

Yelp
The restaurant has a modern relaxed vibe, we showed up a little early to grab a drink at the bar before our reservation. The chef and our waiter gave us some great suggestions for dinner. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and our three course meal did not disappoint. I recommend checking this place out!

Katelyn B.

Yelp
Zachary was our waiter and he was excellent! Five stars for service and vibe. The charcuterie board had a good mix, it needs more carbs - a cracker perhaps? We got the onion ring app and the au jus on the side is the way to go. I will say, they showed no available reservations for Friday night and we walked in and it was nearly empty - so give it a try even if they look booked! I'll be back!

Mike H.

Yelp
Newish to the Nations, this higher end restaurant is a great addition. As soon as you walk in the service is amazing and in a great environment. The first time I came I had the burger which is amazing. This time I went with the short rib tacos which were also fantastic. Plenty of parking behind the building.

Mae D.

Yelp
Love to see new restaurants in Nashville. Service was great here! Parking was easy! Food was delicious, will definitely be coming back!

Diane K.

Yelp
If you want to have exceptional attentive service combined with unique flavorful food and drink look no further. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu, prompt and courteous in the delivery. We started with the emberred giant meatball and ember roasted artichokes. The artichokes counterbalanced the spiciness of the meatball. The cocktail selection was adventurous. The best things happen after midnight was tart, salty and delightful. Main course Chermoula Chicken was simple, light but flavorful. Our table shared the carrot cake which was amazing. The presentation was totally unexpected and fun for Our table to share. Definitely will return and highly recommend. Kudos to our waiter Reagan for giving us the perfect suggestions and service.

Kelsey Z.

Yelp
Was SO excited this new spot finally opened in The Nations. The space is stunning, with emerald and black interior details that make the space feel very rich and moody. Went for lunch on a Sunday and had no trouble getting seated. As for food- the short rib dumplings were 10/10 incredible. Soy garlic sauce paired perfectly with the bourbon flavor of the short ribs. The french onion rings were the biggest surprise in the best way- The au jus and gruyère cheese really made them taste like a traditional french onion soup with a ton of texture from the onion ring breading. For entrees we tried the french dip and burger. The USDA Prime meat makes the dishes taste even better than they look. We would have liked more of the horseradish mayo on the french dip to make that flavor more noticeable. And it's the only Nashville restaurant currently serving dry aged fish, in addition to their dry aged steaks. Overall we loved our meal and plan to return very soon! (Once their liquor license gets approved so we can try their cocktail menu) *** To note they do add a 2% service fee onto all bills. This is to help provide health care insurance and benefits to their staff. It can be removed, but we thought it was really great that they provide this for their staff***

John S.

Yelp
Updating review to one star. In addition to not being transparent as mentioned in the post, they have now blocked me on Instagram. I had sent them one question in the picture below and posted twice to ask when cocktails would be served since they weren't available when I visited. Poor customer experience overall.

Emily A.

Yelp
We went here for Valentine's Day and sat at the chefs table. We had higher expectations. The restaurant first ran out of multiple things on the menu that we wanted and the service was very inconsistent. I did love my cocktails but the food was honestly average. Do not get the salmon appetizer (not pictured).

Jim S.

Yelp
First time here and the food was great, ambience, and service was fantastic. I had the French dip sandwich. If you like bourbon a great selection. Great place.

Melissa G.

Yelp
Gave Burger + Grain a try last night and wanted to love it. The decor / space is really nice, and think that part of the Nations could benefit from an upscale place like this. While the menu looked great, the food didn't live up to expectations. First the pros: - Service was good. Staff was helpful and attentive - Coffee was very good - Grilled artichoke hearts were the highlight of the food Cons: - The burger. This is bad news when burger is in your name. The meat was gray in color and texture felt almost as if the patty was frozen. The meat also had little flavor yet a tangy aftertaste. Neither appealing. I was also surprised by this because the artichokes were grilled over an open flame and when I mentioned the burger had no color, no crust, and no grilled flavor I was told that it wasn't cooked on the grill but on the flat top. Seems like a miss for me. Also the bun was very greasy. - Prices: the cost of the burger ($24) is way too much for the poor quality. There are many burgers in the area that are better and for less (Common Ground, Barebones Butcher) Overall very underwhelmed and will not be back.

Matt W.

Yelp
Great addition to The Nations neighborhood. Finally, something of class and elegance. Staff is very friendly. Food has been tasty, and cocktails have been delicious. Great whiskey selection as well!

Brett H.

Yelp
The best French Dip Ever!!!! Finally the nations has a place that is higher end and delicious! Great cocktails and the ambiance is fantastic! The daily happy hour is a great value & the espresso martini is fire! Props To Sam who is one of the managers also - he has always taken great care of us. Highly recommend!!

Ford B.

Yelp
So mixed reviews had me nervous... but man they crushed it. Drinks were great. We split the short rib dumplings to start. Great sauce. We loved the ribeye and succotash combo. But let me not kid you, the service was took it over the top. Billie did a great job and we will certainly be back.

Michael W.

Yelp
I rate a 1/5 only because we have tried to eat there on 3 different occasions being told each time, the liquor license was to be granted "tomorrow". It's understood that one cannot control TABC and the timeliness of said license, however, when you don't have the ability to serve, why would you charge a $25 cork fee? Nope... You lost us again last night, party of 3. Looking forward to finally trying this establishment... Lose the cork fee while you can't serve. It's not your fault but it's not our issue either. We went to another restaurant and spent $300 all because of your $25 cork fee. Merry Christmas!

Jerald A.

Yelp
Food was decent. Very over priced though. Atmosphere is nice. Couldn't even get a drink though bc they didn't have license yet... but their menu had cocktails

Chelsea B.

Yelp
Beautiful space, wonderful bartenders and servers. Food was upscale at a reasonable price tag. The ahi I had tonight for $33 rivals any $60 ahi tuna steaks in Nashville. Service was wonderful, don't sleep on the short rib dumplings!

Vicki L.

Yelp
I had the French Dip and fries and my husband had the burger and fries. Both were really good especially the fries. Our server was friendly and helpful. It is a little pricey but we both actually got to meals out of our lunches.

Jonathan H.

Yelp
I'm so excited this is in the neighborhood. We've been looking forward to them to open for several months and the food, service and presentation exceeded all of our expectations. Honestly incredible dry aged ribeye. One of the best I've ever had. Our waiter George did a great job. Really nice guy. I know we'll be back soon. Cheers. Glad ya'll are here.

Danielle W.

Yelp
We had been looking forward to trying this place in our neighborhood! Will say, we were not disappointed. Super friendly, quick and prompted! Very attentive to our table. Ambiance was welcoming, and beautiful. They were still working on their liquor license but explained that to us before seating us. Shout out to Tommy who was wonderful and great with recommendations and talking about the dry age process. Hands down so happy to have them in the area and we will definitely be going back soon!

Jonathan M.

Yelp
A welcomed gem to the neighborhood, had a voicemail letting us know there was a limited drink menu which wasn't an issue but The food made up For anything that was lacking from their future cocktail menu. We had cauliflower and feta dish as appetizers, steak salad, pork chop and of course the burger were all fantastic. Marsha was a great server as well! We Will be back

Peter S.

Yelp
Here's my quick review. Two girls at front hosting the restaurant were very sweet. The young girl (Blonde) walked us to table and was very welcoming. Waitress was good but didn't read the table very well and was very quick to come to table for apps food order - we had to keep saying 2 min - so that's just a small learning curve - with experience. I ordered the Hamburger and crispy fries -- hamburger was ok and fries were not fresh and crispy - not worth $28 or whatever it cost - ML ROSE, Jack Browns and Burger Republic are far better burgers -- just being honest and far less costly. Plus there is only one burger the place was built around but didn't want to be known as burger place (Burger + Grain) Money isn't an issue it's Just an observation on the cost of the food. My wife had the steak salad and that was decent (steak part) but salad part she hardly ate. We had the feta cheese app and that was different than I expected but good - tasted like a mozzarella stick but feta. Other couple we were with ordered the same as us and they "liked" it. We were glad we tried it. It is still new but hardly anyone in there but sadly won't be back. Not ONE manager came over to thank us for dining but they did go to a few other tables - they looked CHECKED out. Not very interested in people they're experience with food and restaurant !? We did order desert and it was 3 of 10 stars. Definite miss - the campfire deal. It was just not good - The girl who brought the desert to the table and who poured the chocolate over the desert "table side" didn't crack a smile and not a word was uttered - did her deal and walked off (if you don't like the customer care aspect of the business get out) ... overall - Hamburger, steak salad app - 1/2 split cost desert and 2 sodas - $65 per person meal was fairly expensive for what it was, not terrific so we were disappointed and definitely NOT served with a smile / everyone was just not happy to be there WHO WORKED there except for the blonde hostess. Best wishes but we're one and done

Kelly M.

Yelp
Food isincredible, great add to our neighborhood! The bartenders are awesome, and service is amazing. The Carpaccio is DELISH

Victoria S.

Yelp
I felt I must write a review, we have been to Burger & Grain 5 times, lunch brunch & dinner. It is so good. I have tried something different every time, but the Steak Salad is my favorite to date. My husband loves the bologna sandwich and tells everybody how great it is. We have brought many friends, and everyone loves the tone and feel/ the staff amazing. So glad to have a more upscale in The Nations

Lionel C.

Yelp
I've been a Chef and Restaurant owner for over a decade and this place nailed every aspect. It was all in the fine details. The flatware, the design, the lighting, the open kitchen lay out, the owner even came over and greeted me and my wife. The service was perfect and the food was flawless. I will be going back a lot - this place is a 10/10

Heather D.

Yelp
Wow! Wow! Wow! Great atmosphere, staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable! Keep an ear out for the music in the faint background...I found myself singing along to a Poison tune! The food was amazing! Mushroom Tartine and Cauliflower app were so good. Our 13 YO loved her dinner, too. Cocktails were yummy- get one of the dessert espresso martinis, trust me, you will love it!

Benson C.

Yelp
As my friend and I walked into the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by the hostesses and led to our table. Our server swiftly took our order and served us our roasted artichokes to start and they were delicious. Then then served us our meal. We werent that hungry so my friend ordered the Grain Salad and I ordered the Carpaccio and we were both impressed with how well it tasted!! We also ordered drinks and my friend ordered the tequila cocktail which she raved about and I ordered the Cava to start and ended with the Old Fashioned and whomever was working tonight, that Old Fashioned was perfect! We finished off the night with dessert and I ordered the Honey Crisp Panna Cotta and it was perfectly light and not too sweet!! I havent been this impressed with a new restaurant in awhile and I want Burger + Grain to get the attention and praise they deserve! I cant wait to come back!

Alex A.

Yelp
The food at burger and grain is spectacular. A little pricey but honestly one of the best burgers in town. Our server George was so knowledgeable of the drink and food menu. He suggest fantastic drinks and appetizers. He complimented the chef by detailing his specials. It was a all around great experience. if you go here, ask for George he brings the 5 star experience. We love George and will most definitely go back for George alone. That man deserves a raise.

Yelp
Solid addition to the Nations neighborhood. Burger + Grain is very different than I expected based on the name; not sure it is named logically. But this is actually a good thing. We have plenty of burger spots in the area, but this is far more than that, with seafood, steaks, creative appetizers, and more. It is a little pricey but solid ambiance for a date night.

Yelp
As I step into the establishment, I'm immediately struck by the seamless fusion of upscale ambiance with a welcoming neighborhood feel--it's a rare gem indeed. The diverse menu offerings, from mouthwatering burgers to delectable ribeye and tuna options, cater to a wide range of tastes, leaving me spoiled for choice. The tantalizing shareables only add to the allure, promising a delightful dining experience for myself and fellow patrons. As each dish arrives at my table, I can't help but marvel at the chef's artistry. Their culinary expertise and creativity are evident in every carefully crafted plate, from the perfectly grilled ribeye to the exquisitely prepared tuna. And let's not forget the warm hospitality of Holly, who as she seated me, shared some favorites and added to the sense of community within the restaurant. Moreover, the server, Zachery, stood out with his extensive knowledge and recommendations. What impressed me most was his genuine appreciation for the menu without any hint of upselling--just a sincere desire to enhance our experience. It's experiences like these that truly make dining out memorable. With such culinary mastery at play and a team dedicated to creating an exceptional experience, it's no wonder I find myself drawn back to this establishment time and time again...Burger+Grain is a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts like myself in Nashville's Nations Neighborhood.

Yelp
I am editing review down to a one star as I'm seeing the exact same issues and comments from customers that were there prior to our visit. Therefore they had the opportunity to make changes and chose not to. I try not to be overly critical and give some slack where it's due, we're in tough times right now and food/beverage is a tough business. The shortcomings as I saw them were 1) no liquor license and that wasn't disclosed until we had already been seated and poured water, etc. At that time, would have felt a bit awkward to leave. We noticed that other tables had wine, so we asked for that, but it turns out that was BYOB. Who knew? It wasn't listed anywhere and I even called before we left home (to check on the storm) and they could have taken that opportunity to let us know, but didn't. 2) The $24 burger was on a soggy bun. I'm sorry, but I just don't know how else to state it, it was just plain old soggy. And the braised short ribs on the burger were tough with some grisel so you just had to take it off in order to bite into the burger. 3) They impose a 2% cultural fee and when we asked our server what it was for, she was very embarassed and stated that she gets asked by most customers and that she always feels awkward explaining it. Yes, it is on the menu, but no, we didn't read the fine print. The cultural fee is so the owner can provide his employees with health insurance. I'm not accustomed to seeing that as a line item on a bill, I would think that goes into general overhead that is paid for out of business revenues, and not so blatantly asking your customers to pay it for you. On the bright side, it was very clean and nice inside, decorated well, good mood lighting, etc. The server was very nice and took good care of us.

Yelp
Hidden fees should not be a part of a restaurant experience. Not going back to this place.
