This review is mainly for ordering delivery. The food arrived cold and incorrect. They sent me a completely different burger than what I ordered. They give you the option to select a temperature however in my 3 times ordering, it always arrives well done and under seasoned. The fries also arrived soggy and lukewarm. They also now make you pay for the maple mayo when you order sweet potato fries when it used to be included in the cost.

😂😂 $47 for two burgers and two fries. $0.10 PER Ketchup packet and $0.15 per Mayonnaise packet. Look at the picture of the "Medium Well" Burger- dry as SAND. HALF the burger was outside the Bun. I hope, for your sake, that NO other burger places open around here because if they do, Burger Heights is Toast. I tried to love you for so long - but now it's SO LONG!!!

People everything was right and exactly what I order on my burgers... this fries are awesome... I'm visiting from Orlando Florida. I always order through store web site, I do not order from third parties delivery service, due to the fact that orders sometimes are not accurate and a couple of dollars more expensive. Food temperature was on point, even do the weather does not help Food temperature was good, with this freaking New York cold, everything was tastefully acceptable temperature wise... Thank you Burger Heights for making this experience right. Your special heights Sauce was delicious close to the Mayo-kertchup sauce. I like yours better. The Shakes taste was different that Italian Ice cream touch was great, Didn't felt that regular milk shake after taste. Man I wish we had this type of shakes in Orlando there is a Portillo's franchise from Chicago the Shakes are good, but your shakes are better. Nothing compares to your fries, never had this thick fries they felt a bit crispy, I bet that straight from the frier there are nice and crispy. The burguer taste was very good, the Ham option tasted like premium ham, the chicken Patty was nice and juicy, nothing like a dry chicken breast. Thanks for the care and freshness of your food.

Have been a customer of Burger Heights since it opened some years ago. The burgers and fries are consistently good and the prices just right. Noticed lately that the burgers seem hardier and more filling which is a nice evolution. Tonight (12/19/25 6:20pm) the burgers were so exceptionally delicious, we called the store to let the cooks know. Ordered two Audubon turkey burgers. The meat was nicely salted with a mild hint of barely detectable cayenne pepper a nice surprise.

Delicious burger and fries! I ordered the heights burger and a regular fry. You can taste the high quality ingredients in the patty to the toppings and the potato bun! The fries are dense and crispy, making them perfect for dipping in “The Heights Sauce”. Price point is higher than your bodega burger but you’re getting a better burger here! Totally worth it.

I like to try a place/restaurant, etc a few times before forming an opinion and I must say…Burger Heights has become a destination spot for my family and friends. If you are looking for HIGH QUALITY FOOD, as well as consistency, this place is worth the trip (we live way out of the neighborhood). Their burgers are top notch and the fries are out of this world. Very well thought out menu, fantastic staff. If you are in the hood, make it your weekly must have and if you are not…Make the trip..Live a little!!!

The only burger joint I order from in the Heights. Consistent. They will definitely cook the meat to a crisp if you ask for the patties well done and get it delivered. It seems fine when you order in person, though. I'd be hesitant to order any other preparation given that it's ground beef. Anyway, I still recommend and have been eating these burgers since 2022 or earlier.

I don't know what is up with the low star reviews but I'm indifferent. I give this place 5 stars because I would always do takeout through Grubhub or Seamless and love the food so much!!! This was my to go burger joint when I used to live here. They are like Shake Shack and imitated them with the design of the burger and packaging! When I used to get the food, the fries and burger would always be packaged like Shake Shack! The food tastes really good too! Such good seasoning! The burger was very cute and organized. Lettuce was always in placed with the tomato slices! So cute and perfectly round. I always got the chocolate shake and it tasted so good that I finished it so fast! Too bad the shake container is a bit too small. Wish they got a bigger size! Will hit this place up next time I'm in the Heights.

Employee stated that owner says that patrons can not sit in outdoor seating area unless also ordering pizza. Employee also stated that both businesses were owned by the same owner, as obviously stated by the name of both "separate establishments". I wonder what would have happened if my guest and I would have just ordered our burgers and sat down without politely asking if it was okay? Maybe a pizzeria would've helped at your previous Audobon location with this motto. ‍. Must be some real good business.....

First time trying and will definitely be back! The fries are amazing! The vegan options are amazing as well! Will definitely recommend this place!

I like this place because of their veggie burger and vegan tenders. I love that they have avocado as a topping option on their burgers and grilled onions, it's delicious. The tenders are a little pricey but they're really good and crunchy.

*4.5 stars* Ordered takeout: st Nicholas burger and sweet potato fries. Pretty quick delivery, nice packaging. Enjoyed both the burger and the fries, though very small portion of the fries, especially for the price. Also walked past the location a few times and there always seems a place to grab a seat to have your food, can't comment on the service though but a pretty good burger if you're craving one!

How does their food taste? Who knows...they can't be bothered to actually deliver. And when you call? They lie!!!!! So who knows what they do to the food if they do actually serve you something. I wouldn't trust them. STAY AWAY!!!!! Ambiance??? If having a man lie to you and leave you hungry is ambiance...well...strive higher.

Always good turkey burgers, friendly and accommodating staff. My go to after I'm done with work and need a quick meal. I don't like McDonald's or those other places with chemical burgers.

Food is great, excellent food every single time- but lately there is a cook yelling loud in the back, having a conversation on his speaker phone. Really ruins the vibe in the restaurant, and makes it hard to enjoy the food. It has happened the last 3 times I went in to sit inside the restaurant. The man is yelling and yelling the whole time on his speaker phone with a lady. I stay for 20-25 minutes and it is happening the whole time.

A very mediocre burger for its price almost like a White Castle slider, the service was good truffle fries are just ehh( cheese and rosemary), ambiance- very chill spot specially on a nice spring day but they should definitely do better on their burgers easily 3 bites.

In pre-COVID, I have been to this location but my latest review is based on two deliveries via Uber Eats in October 2021z Food: The quality of the burgers is always high in my experience with Burger Heights with quality ingredients and cooking. The four different burgers were all tasty and I like the option to customize my orders as needed. Overlook Burger for $8.99 made with Swiss Cheese, Grilled Mushroom, Grilled Onions, and Heights Sauce. The Impossible Burger for $14.99 made with 100% Plant - Base Burger, Vegan American Cheese, Raw Onion, Lettuce, Tomato, and Ketchup. Amsterdam Burger for $9.89 made with Cheddar Cheese, Guacamole, Lettuce, Tomato, Chipotle. The Wordsworth Burger for $9.49 made with Swiss Cheese, Grilled Pineapple, Ham, Tomato, Lettuce, and BBQ sauce. My favorite burger was the Wordsworth! The pineapple added a nice flavor. The impossible burger is good but pricey. We ended the burgers with fries half regular and half sweet potato for each order which was nice to compliment the burgers. Shakes: The very thick shakes are always a good match to a good burger so I have enjoyed a variety of shakes here. Cookies & Cream, Black & White, Strawberry, and Dulce de Leche for $7.99 each. My favorite flavor was Dulce de Leche. The cookie and cream had chunks of cookies which was a nice touch. Packaging: From the two deliveries, we had a great experience with everything in order with condiments and napkins. It is always important to have your shake as soon as possible especially to get the best taste! Overall: As expected, Burger Heights delivers with solid food and drinks. It is great to have a local favorite in Washington Heights! Hope to order to soon again!

STILL THEE BEST BURGER IN THE CITY. I recently had the overlook sandwich it was my first time also had fries with the burger Burger heights is still banging before the pandemic and it's still good after the pandemic. Definitely worth the money

I saw the burger sign and it drew my attention. Due to Covid this is strictly a takeout place with a walk up window. We ordered through the glass and stood in the little outdoor dining area while we waited for our food. I went with the audbon turkey burger and it was lighter than the normal burger. The turkey patty was still moist even though it was turkey. My coworker got the heights regular burger and enjoyed it. I also got the sweet potato fries and they were spot on. So good. I hope this place catches on and it gets busy. Covid doesn't help but when things open up even more they should get even more business. Good luck Burger Heights!

Picked up a to go order we ordered online. We were there to pick up before the pick up time given. It was ice cold when we got home. Both veggie burgers were cold in the center and cheese wasn't melted. When I called to tell them they said all they could do is replace it if we brought it back in. Do not recommend.

This spot delivered us a double cheeseburger with what looked like either the cheese wrapping paper or the paper that's used to separate meat patties still on. Ridiculous. When we called, they made no effort to apologize for their mistake. They blamed Postmates. Ridiculous. We reminded them that they cooked the burger, and should have noticed that there was PAPER left on the burger. They still took no responsibility - not even an apology for a burger that we can't even finish. Ridiculous. Save your money and go someplace where customers are respected.

We recently found this place near our apartment and are very glad. Really liked the Washington height vegan burger and fries. Chocolate shake was good. Also, the same owner opened the Height's coffee shop next door which has excellent coffee and pastries. There are so few good coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants uptown and these two places are great additions. We are sick and tired of the Starbucks on w181 and Ft. Washington which has gotten so gritty and inhospitable as far as the decor goes. It just feels shabby.

Finally crossed this place off the list during a recent visit. I order their standard cheeseburger and a hot dog with ketchup and mustard. Waited ten minutes in the outdoor dining enclosure, retrieved my food, chowed down. The food is good. I was happy.

COVID 19 delivery. I got their basic Heights burger, with cheese, lettuce, and tomato. I added raw onion. You can add several toppings, from avocado to grilled onions to bacon. I ordered my burger medium and it was cooked appropriately. Very juicy. The fries were thick and crispy! I ordered a hotdog with chili for later and suspect it will be just as good. Their Heights sauces reminds me of a higher level Big Mac sauce.

I tried a hella fire cheeseburger from here and I loved the cheese fries too. I tried a veg burger or two and I like the meat one more.

This is a solid place to get burgers and fries, with the addition of tons of vegetarian/vegan options since they first opened. For take-out, you can download the app to order and then have it ready when you get there. Service is pretty straight forward as you just pay for your burger and then you are good to go. There are some tables outside if you feel like sitting down. Overall would recommend for a quick bite and consistently good burgers.

Always fresh and good! The burgers are a bit more expensive but you can always tell the quality is great. The fries are tasty too. If you order delivery, everything comes quickly and stays warm. A great place for burgers and fries! I'll have to try their shakes next time too.

Yummy . A takeout window in the Washington Heights area of upper Manhattan rocks. Shake Shake quality without all the hype. Simply download their app, place the order an pick up at the window. Great service. We we're running late so we called they adjusted our order and on arrival gave us fresh sweet potato fries. Several plant based items on the menu. I had the Amsterdam burger which was a wonderful beef burger. Everything was very fresh. We'll be back for sure!

This place is great! They have great options for vegetarians and vegans which sometimes in Washington heights can be a little bit more challenging than in other parts of the city. I love their build your own burger. It is reasonable prices and the fries are also really good. I highly recommend the sweet potato fries. They have a wide variety of sauce options, with lots of vegan sauces as well. The portion sizes are good too, they aren't so overwhelmingly large that you feel super gross after eating but you are definitely real full when you finish. The potato bun they use for a majority of the burgers is super good. It melts in your mouth and goes so well with all the other ingredients. As far as the veggie burger options go the beet burger is my favorite. It is one that is relatively unique to this spot and it is delicious!

The first thing I heard about this place when they opened was their similarity to Shake Shack. Since I like Shake Shack, that was not a bad thing to me. I could see similarities in their offerings, and also their logo. Regardless, they seem to be doing pretty good with high reviews. There is a small seating area right at the entrance with counter table and bar stool chairs. The inside is not very big, just enough to fit a handful of people comfortably. It was nice and clean, bright and open. They had a delivery staffs on stand-by, as they seem to get many delivery orders. They don't have many seating, but a creative way to maximize it. They have a counter with bar stool in the inside, and another counter, set several inches lower, facing the restaurant with metal chairs. I believe they close the window during the cold months, which eliminates the few seats that are places outside. Once your order is placed, then they start to cook your order. This means that it takes a bit longer time for your food to ready, but it will be super fresh! We ordered Overlook burger, Amsterdam burger, Sweet Potato Fries, Cheese Fries, Dolce de Leche Shake, and Mint Chocolate Chip Shake. They do not have any "set" items, so everything need to be ordered separately. The staffs were young and chit chatted with each other the entire time. But they did cook the food pretty well, and they kept the place clean. At a place like this, that is much more important than a friendly, polite service...although, it will be nice to get both... I was very happy to visit this place finally. I was pleasantly surprised with their high quality ingredients and the food. It was better than I expected! I would like to go back and try some other offerings in a near future.

After a long day of school I was looking for something quick to eat and decided to go to try this spot out. A couple of pros and cons. Pros: Burger is tasty, milkshake is also filling.. fries are cooked well. Overall food is good. Cons: Slow paced.. food takes long meanwhile they have about 6-7 workers in the back... super pricey. I paid $20 and change. The burger I got was the double pattie. Yet when I received it... it was extreme tiny so definitely not worth the price. If you want to try it sure but don't recommend you going as often due to price.

They even have vegan options which is great. I like the fries. When everyone wants burgers this should work as a go to.

Fresh juicy greasy burgers made to order. Go for one of the doubles and it's filling you up for not much more then a single. This place is bust past closing. Delicious !! Oh and this isn't a hipster joint so it's affordable. I'll start with 4 starts because it was a pleasant surprise. The menu makes it look like some overcooked Pow burger nonsense . It is worth a few return visits.

I just moved to town and was craving a burger for dinner and decided to try this place out on a whim. I went for the Ft. Washington, which is a black bean burger with guac, and sweet potato fries. I was shocked at how flavorful everything was! I already know I'll be a regular here and can't wait to try more of the menu.

My go-to delivery order for times during the stay-at-home order, but also my favorite burger place in Washington Heights. The menu is quite simple; there are about a dozen different burgers (plenty of vegetarian options), a couple of fries options, shakes, and bites. Most burgers come with a soft potato bun that adds to the flavor of the entire burger. However, everything that I've tried on the menu is delicious. Here are some of my thoughts on items in their menu: The heights burger is a classic choice. The heights sauce that they have soaks quite well into the potato bun. The Overlook doesn't have lettuce and tomato on it and instead has grilled onions and mushrooms, which added a whole new flavor to both the meat and the bun. I absolutely love the Broadway though. It's a double bacon cheeseburger that can get messy, but the bun soaks up the flavors of the bacon and meat so well. The Amsterdam is a wonderful creation: it has guac in it, and the burger has quite a generous amount too. I also usually eat meat with my burgers, but I have to admit their veggie burger options are delicious as well. The Impossible burger and Beyond burger taste like other Impossible and Beyond burgers, but still has a unique Burger Heights taste to it somehow! I also like the Ft. Washington, whose patty is based on black beans. The hot dog and grilled cheese are both good, though a bit more on the expensive side (they're not large and not as filling as the burgers). The fries, both sweet potato and plain, are great! Try them with cheese as well.

You know those days where you're really craving something greasy? That was me when I came here. Not only was I craving a burger and/or hot dog, but I hadn't eaten all day, so I decided to get both. To me, this place is a gem because of its location (it's really unique for where it is located), and the fact that they use high quality ingredients/meat. A burger is a burger and is probably gonna clog your arteries regardless, but there's a huge difference between a McDonald's burger and a real burger. I also despise flat/squishy buns, so the fluffy ones provided here were definitely a plus. Both the hot dog and the burger were cooked perfectly. The burger in particular had incredible flavor, although the picture does it no justice.

Dear Burger Heights, I'm still pissed off that you closed the location on Audubon near 168th Street. Why, why, why? This location is much smaller than that one but is never crowded. It makes working 181 Street station much more tolerable. Give me an Audubon and fries any day and I'm a happy camper.

My nephew who lives nearby suggested we eat here for lunch because he and my husband wanted burgers. We'd eaten at Burgers and Lobster/Le Rivage for their French onion soup burger/Shake Shack previously this trip. I ordered their Amsterdam cheeseburger with avocado; they ordered overlook cheeseburgers with jalapeño peppers. We had regular and sweet potato fries. Oh, and a Nutella shake. They had many drink options. Everything was delicious! Probably my favorite burger and at a good price! The employees were super friendly. They have a counter to eat at inside (the window opens in warmer weather), but no tables. I'm sure many people get their food to go.

Some of the best burgers uptown. Great flavor and fast service. If only they had a better place to sit would give them 5 stars.

Everytime I go to the dentist around this area, I find myself walking to this burger joint to test out my bite. The burgers are delicious and always a treat. Love the design of the store and how I can sit and just watch people pass by. Usually I get a regular burger or the amsterdam. Those are always good! I've also gotten the carbless burger, but it fell apart pretty easily and I ended up eating it with a fork. The hot dog was alright as well. The tastey but the bread fell apart really easily :( The shakes are amazing! I always have a little debate with myself whether or not I should get it....( i went to the dentist so I deserve it... but my waist line doesnt appreciate it... ahhh!) Great place to go for lunch or just a snack and hangout while your in the heights.

Worse burger place in whole Manhattan My girlfriend and I recently moved to the Heights and we have been trying all the places around.. No biggest disappointment than Burger Height... not only the service sucks but in their attempt to imitate shake shack burgers they have failed big... seems like they can't handle rush Hours either... so they didn't have napkins and straws... the burger's meat came all raw, the bun cold, and the tomatoes green.. for real dude? Everything wrong? Ugh

Okay. I've heard a lot about burger heights and today I decided to go and see what its about. It has a nice set up; very nice hole in the wall vibe. The cashier and other staff are super professional and very down to earth. The give great customer service and were super patient with me. (Today I've been loopy, leave me be.) Ok so she took my order and then gave me a loyalty card. OMG!! So I was too excited for this because I love free shit. So the way that works is you got a stamp on every purchase over $10. On your fifth purchase you get a free order of fries and then on your 10 purchase you get a free Burger. Really great especially if you live in the area or just love burgers. But anyway ... about this burger I had! Ok so the first thing that I appreciate about this place is that you can order your burger to the cooking consistency that you like so rare all the way to hockey puck. I ordered the Audubon Burger which is basically a turkey burger with grilled onions avocado lettuce tomato and it was amazing. The turkey burger was cooked well it was flavorful the cheese was melted great everything tastes fresh and I was very very excited. When I open my bag to take the burger out it came in this like weird Burger contraption made out of paper but I like that it was fancy it kept everything together. I also ordered the gelato Shake; a me zing so good so creamy just wonderful!!!! They do have a vegetarian option for those that don't eat turkey or beef. They sell regular Fountain drinks and beverages there as well they have one of the little machines with all the flavors so you can go crazy if you like. They also have indoor and outdoor seating which was really cool to me it's a bar stool set up no tables. And this is definitely a place where you can go hang out with friends and not too big of a crowd since there's not a lot of space but a nice size you can take about four of your friends and go eat a good burger.

This definitely one of the better burger spots in the heights. The 3 stars is due to the fact that it is a bit too pricey for what you get. I built my own burger which was only 1 patty, cheese and bacon and its $9.38. Add cheese fries and your adding $5.19. I mean come on, burgers are good but realize what neighborhood you are in. For these prices I hope a five guys doesn't open up in the area because they will be blown out the water.

Good burger... special sauce has the familiar taste of big mac sauce. Pretty much like a shake shack burger, that's not a bad thing! The fries are thick, but they don't have a crispy taste, so I wasn't a fan of those. the shakes are pretty good, try some dulce de leche if you can. The seating can be a little tight when they are busy, so be prepared for that. It's a great addition to the neighborhood, glad they are here. Come for a good burger and skip the fries.

The food here is delicious and creative. Love this joint. Everything is fresh made. They give you this caramel sauce to put it in your burger. Wow!!!! These guys needs to expand. Other people need to try these burgers.

Always wanted to try this place since I hang around the area often enough but I didn't go in before due to the large line of ppl i see inside. This time I was lucky and it was not crowded at all l. So we enter this establishment and we see that it is very small but still were interested in trying to burgers with big burger pants I ordered the Broadway Burger and she ordered the Amsterdam Burger along with cheese fries and an Oreo milkshake with Nutella. Needless to say the wait wasn't too bad but luckily it wasn't crowded so we were able to sit down and wait. The gentleman at the council was very nice we explained it was our first time here and he was very helpful. He even let us know that you know we can combine milkshake flavors and he recommended the Oreo with nuteella, which was great tasting by the way. The cheese fries and burgers tasted amazing you can really tell that they took their time with the bacon on the burger also the avocado really tasted fresh on the other burger. Ultimately it was just a great tasting meal you know it really wasn't bad I would recommend this place and I would come back granted that they aren't swamped with people.

( you're going to need at least $20, to order a complete meal ) *** you can order your fries 1/2 sweet potatoe & Reg. French fries too. Real potatoes *** Gelato shakes are light & creamy. Not thick or heavy like other brands. *** Almond butter cake, comes in tiny cup.

I have been eating here at location since it first opened. My food as always been good until this pass Sunday. I order a Turkey burger and sweet potato fries. When I received my food my burger was warm and my fries was cold and not cooked all the way threw. I ate few that was done all the way the rest I through out! I was very disappointed about my food this is the first bad experience I have had with my food with them usually they are always good.

Consistently delicious. I've never had anything cooked wrong or tasting bad. I order from here weekly via their own app (which is cheaper directly), for just over a year. They forgot something one time, and immediately they sent someone back to rectify it. Slightly pricey, and no discounts ever offered, but the food is always hot, and worth it. Highly recommend.

Was craving a burger and found this place which looked really good. However, when I got there and asked one of the guys with with his work shirt on if it was open, at first he ignored me. Then I asked again and he answered with the nastiest attitude "No" and threw up his hand as to dismiss me. Needless to say I'll NEVER RETURN!!! Bad business!

Hands down one of my favourite burgers ever ! A delicious soft potato bun ! High quality meat and a very friendly staff! If I could have given more stars then I would!! What ya waiting for ? Go to burger heights now !!!
