Great service, my favorite impossible burger! Onion rings and fries are tasty too!

I just love their deals and their customer service needs. As somewhat a frequent person who can get there when I'm in the area. They always seem to know your order. I love it!!

This place is great. I come here all the time. The food is healthy and fast - and the employees are friendly and helpful. Far better than regular “fast food” in every way!

Food is always super fresh and top quality. Higher standards than other supposedly gourmet burger places. You can see it in the little things such as the dual-color sesame seeds on the truffle burger bun. The truffle burger also had crispy fried onions inside that were so perfectly crispy and golden they must have been fried to order. You know how the burgers at most places look nothing like the pictures in advertisements? Not the case here! The burger we got was pretty much as tall, colorful and beautiful as the picture. Fries are carefully jam packed in the bag and since we got the 1/2 onion rings (nice option) the onion rings were thoughtfully stacked on top of the fries. So while it is fast food setting at the end of the day, the quality and experience—including friendly staff who seem happy to see us and happy to be here—the experience is a perfectly calibrated to hit the right spot when you want a burger but detest fast food. I never have room to try the beautiful shakes (which all have non dairy options), but they look fantastic and you can see and hear the staff making them fresh.

Best burgers in SD by a landslide. What I really appreciate is their consideration for what you put in your body. They use 100% grass-fed beef which means no hormones, no antibiotics — just clean, responsibly raised meat. You can taste the difference. Even their fries are cooked in 100% GMO-free rice bran oil (so if you’re eating fries, at least there’s that:/) The food is consistently delicious every time. I usually order delivery— but if I eat there, I like that they have cans of wine:) We came here before going home from the hospital after I had my daughter! Ha

Great grass fed beef hamburgers, excellent shakes and fries.

I had originally driven to a different food venue when I passed this 1 and saw their menu. So I decided to try their spicy chicken 🐔 sandwich 🥪. I was not disappointed at all. Let me warn you though, do not wear a white shirt while eating this thing. It was dripping with Buffalo sauce and my drool 🤤. Staff was very professional and nice (it is refreshing as these days people seem grumpy to get back to work or something) Anyway, parking is a challenge, but it is California so, good fortune with that. I recommend grabbing a drink from 1 of the feed venues that have the large parking across the street free for 1 hour if you venture into their establishment. Next time I am in this area I will order from the Burger Lounge again. 🍔

Hi I came in both Saturday and Sunday night and I had the best service. I didn't catch his name, but he was literally going so above and beyond for me. I even asked him if he was the manager and he said no, but clearly he needs to be. Thank you for giving me a safe and comfortable place to eat. Please give this man a raise! He was like 5'3? I think Filipino, short hair, curly on the top, short on the sides. Perfect eyebrows. Thank you again. <3

One of the best places you can have the bezt in onion rings that have some of the best seasoning for you can have the honey mustard or the housemade barbecue sauce. The chicken sandwiches they are thick and juicy for the selections they have you can requedt whole wheat buns. Today was the best for the relaxing of the Burger Lounge you can take your friends and coworkers they do have high chairs for kids with rolm at the table . Coming to the restaurant the restaurant was clean and the tables presentable with the updatez of the specials. Burger Lounge is the best that you can have parties Burger Lounge the location that is close by the busses they do have parking close by on the backside. The customer service at the Burger Lounfe the manager greeting customers for managers to support workers at the front register and in the back area great work. Onion Rings wifh the best of the Western Bacon the butger with two pstiez one of the best with sauce that is homemade sauce at the store making the flavor and one burger to order again. Many western burgers that I have seen have been over sauced onion rings overcooked. The food and the service that has made the Burger Lounge one of the vest from the many lo ations with the combo burgers with some of the many sides nakes the best. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer somr of the best fokds there are a few there are the onez with best in ingredients to the healthy salads that are made fresh at the restaurant. Of the many places you xan find there is not to many that serve real sugar sodas. Happy Dinning this one ace that I will be going back to to have real ice cream shakes.

Y'all just need to close BL permanently at this point seriously. The amount of negative reviews along with 1 - 2 stars should be telling enough. Last time I was at BL was in Kensington 6 years ago & I swore I would never return until my friend who's vegan suggested it. I should have said NO there food is terrible but I figured if it's still standing perhaps it got better. I got the quinoa burger & it was quite literally the worst vegetarian burger I've ever had in my life. The frozen vegan patties at traders are better than these. Let me break it down for. Bun was microwaved & tough. They chopped up the lettuce into these weird pieces almost like premade store bought coleslaw. Old soggy tomato & unmelted cheddar. When I bit into it the entire dried out burger crumbled and the lettuce spilled out. They put about a tablespoon of mustard on it so I was choking a bit. The fries were cold and salty. When I was placing my order I asked if the mayo had soybean and she started saying over and over "ITS VEGAN SO". She literally did not know that soybean OIL is used as a base for mayo & dressings. I asked if they had the ingredients available online or if she could check I'd appreciate it. I stood there waiting for awhile when I noticed her and the cook were next to the trash talking about anything other than the mayos ingredients. So I said You know what forget it mustards fine thanks. $17 + $2 tip $19 for Just the burger. I was so damn mad There is nothing worse than being ripped off. Shareholders, franchise owners etc y'all need to send in a team that is going to retrain or fire those working and taking your business down. Stop raising prices

Honestly not great but not bad. I tried it once because I really wanted a burger but it's alright. It was kinda dry and just felt a bit overpriced for what you're getting.

I've visited many Burger Lounges in SoCal but this one is far and away the best. I don't know what they're doing here that is so much better but everything about the meat was prepared perfectly. The whole burger was flawless. The service was great, and food arrives fast, and nothing lacked. I've visited other Burger Lounges where we had to send it back for a second try but in the dozen or so times I've been here, everything has been utter perfection.

I stopped in for the last day of their $5 promo. Parking suck$. I circled around and around until I found a spot 3 blocks away. I came in and was greeted right away. The place was empty at 11:30 except for one person waiting for their to go order. I tell the girl I want the $5 promos. She's not sure how to ring it up, so another gentleman helps her. I tell her I want 3 different promo offers, and she's not sure again how to ring them up together. The cook even checked on her to make sure she figured it out. Everyone was so nice and helpful. I walked back to my car and had to stop myself from eating the whole burger even though I was full at halfway because they are always so good! Almost forgot a pic. Half of the delicious hot mess. Fries are gone, vanilla shake was gone too, so yep, it was good.

When I crave a good burger, I always choose one from grass-fed cows and Burger Lounge has been my favorite since 2012. My son is not a hamburger fan and yet this is the only one he liked when he was only 6 yrs young. The only thing I don't like is that they don't have a branch in the East County.

This place has hands down. Great solid Burger. No fluff, just good burgers. The customer service is great. Onion rings are phenomenal. Would definitely come back.

My team and I recently got a delivery from Burger Lounge, and it was an absolute treat! I had the classic, and it did not disappoint. The beef was perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor. The crispy fries and onion rings on the side were the great too!

First time trying this place. I order delivery and part of my order was a chocolate shake. On the fist sip of the shake I found out there was a bunch of glass at the bottom of the cup. When the shake was emptied out in a stainer we realized there was a lot of glass in the cup. I hope this didn't happened to any one else.

Ordered the side salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was tender, seasoned just right and delicious. The salad had greens, carrots, daikon, and the vinaigrette dressing was light and not overpowering. The delivery service was amazing, he was very professional.

Onion rings were dry and tasteless. The oil they used was rancid and old. Time for an oil change.

Went in for a quick burger on Easter afternoon with a friend. I tried hard to remember his name because he made quite an impression on us - perhaps 30, auburn hair, possibly named Ricardo? Cashier. He was so genuinely kind, thoughtful, and attentive to evergone at the restaurant. Offering refills and taking away trash. Kind eyes and a warm smile. You're very lucky to have him.

The young man that was working yesterday close to 5pm, is an amazing hard worker! Please promote him! I came in about to pass out from anemia, & needed a burger. I was kinda miserable, & he didn't take it personally. The burger helped immensely! In addition, he got my order 100% complete & correct. Grateful

Ordered takeout and received raw, mushy and soggy fries FYI. Not worth the price. Whoever is in charge of frying stuff there clearly isn't doing the job. P.S.: if you are looking for better fries, Luna Grill's literally across street has a crispier and properly cooked fries, a thousand times better and cheaper. You are welcome :)

I wish I could say I love Burger Lounge as much as I love that cheese-stuffed shack stack from Shake Shack, but I don't. I'd compare the quality of Burger Lounge to Shake Shack still. BL's fries are better though. Both places have delicious milkshakes and often have lemonades or other things to sip on. The reason I go for Burger Lounge more is their prices are cheaper and it's easier to access. I love that BL has a fish option and more chicken options, but I usually stick to the burger with grilled onions on it - so good! Is it the SOB? Idk it's always solid. I love that you can order online for a fast pick-up experience. Ingredients always taste fresh. I'm sure I'll be back for more soon!

Been going to Burger lounge for years.... mainly LA Jolla, Hillcrest and sometime Little Italy and Gas lamp. Tonight, June 25, 2025... I waited the longest ever for the burger and it was completely cold.. son I walked to the counter and asked the attendant... I said out your hands on it, it is cold.... She said it is warm..... Lol then why are the Onion rings so hot.... Little Italy Burger lounge sucks compared to Hillcrest.... lets talk... reach out to me

The fries were Cold but it's because I was a Little Late + we ended up chit chatting. Super Full from the Food. Sweet Hispanic/Mexican woman in the Kitchen, working Behind the Scenes. I don't live in California anymore but whenever someone tells me they are considering a trip out there I instantly recommend to drop in on Burger Lounge. They never disappoint. If I ever went back.... first place I would want to eat.

Burger Lounge is an American fast casual restaurant chain that specializes in hamburgers made from American grass-fed beef, salads, shakes, French fries and onion rings. Burger Lounge is headquartered in San Diego, J. Dean Loring, the son of a butcher, and Michael Gilligan founded the company in the La Jolla neighborhood of San Diego. This particular store in Hillcrest is small but offers patio dining as well as indoor dining. We had several items and we liked all of them. The Grilled Cod sandwich was great...the fish was moist on the inside and nicely grilled on the outside. The Crispy chicken sandwich was a bit too well done for my tasted, but still tasty. The SOB and Cheesburger were good and moist as well. The star of the meal was the onion ring. Just perfectly fried ! The french fries were just average..not too crispy....

Ordered takeout from Burger Lounge the other night and it was a hit! We all ordered their lounge burger and customized them to our liking. I'm always impressed with a burger place when they can nail a simple burger. Their patties were seasoned and cooked perfectly and I loved their buns!

I love the Burger Lounge! Their burgers are yummy. Their fries are fresh cut and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Their onion rings aren't greasy and flavorful. Also, if you aren't in the mood for a burger their fish sandwich rocks! In my opinion,there's only two negatives to this location. First, there isn't much seating inside so if it's cold you probably won't find a seat. Second, a few years back I fell on the hard to see step outside and almost broke my leg. I'm also aware that I am not the only person who has fallen here so no action has been taken since this happened. I took the star away from the corporate entity and not the staff that run this clean and and tasty restaurant. So if they fix that step and avoid some nice little seventy year old from losing their mobility, I would be glad to give you guys five stars for renewing my faith in humanity.

i've been here a couple of times now and honestly it has never been a good experience. Last time I was here, I had to wait over an hour for one burger... now that would be fine if they had told me that there was a long wait but that was not communicated in the slightest. This time around, there is no one here and I am still waiting a very long time for my food. I watched them bring my food to the wrong customer, he picked up the bread and said it wasn't his order and then they packaged up the same food and gave it to me. Forgot my shake as well. Two items for 25$ and this is the service they provide. I would not eat here as I am extremely dissatisfied and feel like I wasted my money. Save yourself the time and cash and go somewhere else.

I got the chicken tenders, which were definitely solid. Not my favorite 1000 Island but that's alright Really friendly service, that was the highlight.

Stopped by today on a whim, actually was headed for the chicken place next door but was closed. A burger sounded good so gave Burger Lounge a try, although I have eaten at the one in Little Italy before. I ordered the SOB burger - cheese, Carmelo Ed onions, pickle, and 1000 Island dressing. I didn't study the menu close enough or perhaps I made an assumption but was disappointed that the burger didn't have lettuce or tomato on it. For me, I love the freshness and crunch of lettuce and tomato. No worries, nobody's fault but my own, but did affect my experience. I also ordered the 1/2 fries and onion rings and found it a delicious side, fresh, hot, not greasy, and good flavor. In fact, I stacked a few onion rings in my burger to add to the experience. All in all, food was good, fresh, simple ingredients. The service was excellent, restaurant was clean, and had a decent vibe. Next time I'll make sure I get the prerequisite veggies on my burger.

Burger lounge is good though this isn't my favorite location. Parking is rough and there are only a few seats. It is super pricey for a take out burger place but it is good.

Awesome Customer Service very clean and spacious store very patient since I was looking at the menu for a while. Went with a friend and Jocelyn and the other lady there helped us out gave us a great experience will return for sure!

I had ordered a classic burger at location to add fresh avocado for $1.95, and all I got on the burger was a teaspoon full, I brought it to the attention of the staff who tried to make it right, but the cook insisted that if I want more avocado it has to be another $1.95, false advertising that you're getting fresh and you're getting a teaspoon full of an avocado mash. I will never set foot in burger lounge ever again.

Beef, turkey, and chicken burgers are great choices and taste good. The fries and onion rings aren't to bad either.

I don't feel like the food quality matches the price. The burger and chicken strips taste a little better than your average fast food chain; however, the fries were quite stale. The shake was good. I don't mind paying extra for a good meal, but Burger Lounge feels generally overpriced.

I love burger lounge and have come here for years, but this was my first time trying this location. It was MUCH better than La Jolla. The food was super fresh and tasted really amazing, and the service was great- the cashier was super friendly and took our plates when we were done. It wasn't super busy either. I would definitely come back here.

I love me some Burger Lounge! Some locations are better than others but, none the less always good.

I ordered takeout and got the cod sandwich and fries.The cod sandwich was a little disappointing. The patty was small and they barely put any sauce on the sandwich. The bread was stale. I feel like it would've been tastier with more tartar sauce, but it looks like they kinda just scraped it on. So there wasn't much flavor. Disappointed they don't have an option for extra sauce. The fries were 10 out of 10 even better than McDonald's. And their barbecue sauce is really flavorful.

Absolutely delicious burger and fries, quite possibly the best I've had. The service was greater the servers were really nice and amiable! And it's a nice little cozy restaurant, def will come back next time in San Diego!

Just had a Alaskan cod fish sandwich, $14 was about enough food for a 2-year-old child. Not only was there nothing on this bun, the flavor was nowhere to be found whatsoever really disappointed in this place you guys need to oversee your Cooks or whatever it is that you need to do to not have food go out like this. I will not visit this establishment again this is the second time in a row I gave it a second try shame on me.

Yes to everything! Fish sandwiches burgers fries and even milkshakes. We frequent the nearby hospital and because it is always consistent and good it's a favorite go to. Staff is always friendly and the inside is clean. We have eaten in and ordered to go. Love this place !

The past two times I've ordered from Burger Lounge, the food has been disappointing. I order from the del sur location. The bun cannot support the burger. Therefore it's messy and falling apart. The chicken tenders have been my favorite, but the last few times, overcooked and dry. Such a bummer when you're craving a good Burger Lounge experience.

The fries and the onion rings are really good. If you order the fries, I suggest you get the "half fries half onion rings deal". The service was good and the cashier was really nice. I've had the quinoa burger twice now and it hasn't been the best, it fell apart the two times I've had it, but this place is known for their burgers not their veggie burgers, so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt. There isn't parking though, so you have to look for parking on the street.

Burger Lounge is a good fast casual eatery with quality ingredients. I've ordered takeout from this location several times and the quality is always good. I love the lounge burger but lately I've been getting the grilled chicken sandwich. Parking can be a pain but I always find a spot within a block of their location. They have a small interior so I wouldn't recommend dining in.

I'm a picky vegetarian and do not care for veggie burgers that are supposed to mimic real meat. At first I absolutely loved the veggie patty here but the toppings are basic (despite much better options for other burgers). Even worse, there is so much inconsistency. Lately the burger just falls apart into a mushy mess that is difficult to eat. I cannot recommend it anymore.

I had their Turkey burger with bacon and asked for the bbq sauce for my fries and the burger was so juicy and flavorful! But this bbq sauce was amazing. So addictive but was like a ketchup-bbq hybrid - well seasoned. Try it!!!

Strangely the food is always served a bit cold from this burger lounge location. I can't seem to catch them when they have fresh French fries. Burgers are inconsistent, sometimes you get a soggy bun. Despite the negatives the 3 stars are from the pluses that service is prompt and the restaurant uses grass fed beef.

We've been coming to this location the last couple of months and the staff here has been unbelievably nice each time. They have been friendly and helped in small ways that make our outing very relaxing and more enjoyable. So far the food has been top notch and pretty much perfect each time. I've been enjoying Burger Lounge at various locations in SD for over 10 years and this is the first time I've written a review because they really have been consistent and kind, and the quality has been solid. For those of you managing a peanut allergy, we have a severe allergy in our family and as of this review they are peanut safe! Thank you to the staff. My wife and I are patrons at the Hillcrest location since they've opened. They have awesome burgers. I decided to venture out and get a grilled chicken sandwich and man, what a let down. I got the smallest piece of chicken. I was better off just ordering a veggie sandwich!

Finally found my spot to take my clean eater sister when visiting me in SD. Delicious

30 minute wait!! To go!?? Are you people serious??? The manager comes up to me and says "You're gonna have to be patient" -- I didn't even ask a question.. lol -- the cooks are WAYYY TOO SLOW !! Come on!!

My friends and I were so hungry and stumbled upon the Burger Lounge in Hillcrest. It wouldn't have been my first choice since there are a lot of options in the area, but after the experience, I think we could have done without. So with our large group, we ordered separately, and they forgot a couple of our orders and then when we asked about it, they were a bit rude. Of course, we still want our food to be made after waiting 40-50 minutes and we already saw people who came after us with their food. This Burger Lounge could use some customer service training. I used to live in the neighborhood, but this one seems a bit out of place. I tried the Bison Burger. I liked how we can do half fries and half onion rings.

Great food. Salad and burger outstanding! Friend of house Grinelly is so cool and accommodating. Grinelly made our visit special. She even put the game on for us without us even asking. She saw us watching it in our phone and asked if we were watching the game and offered to put it on her big screen. We loved our time here. Thank you Grinelly!!!!

Quinoa burger was good (there's also an impossible burger option). They have vegan cheese which is nice. Spindrift, Shirley temple on tap, and various iced teas were a plus. Fries were hot and salted perfectly!
