The Best Veggie Burgers in Montreal - Eater Montreal

"Nestled on a bar-heavy strip of the lower Plateau, Burger Royal boasts some particularly unique sandwiches. Expect everything from a mac and cheese burger to the “Fleur de Lys” burger with cheese curds and gravy. The best part? Any burger on the menu can be made vegetarian." - Kaitlyn McInnis

My favourite burger in Montreal. A lot of choices and all are very delicious. The design of the place gives you a positive energy and people are always welcoming to you. You can make your own burger by choosing your favourite ingredients although the burgers in the menu are super tasty.

Come for the burgers, order sweet potato fries to share and skip the onion rings! This is a great place. The looks is nice and cozy, plus the staff is friendly. I love the fact that they have two sizes for the burgers (slider and regular). That's not my thing, but for those of you who likes to choose to get a burger other than well done, you can pick. The onion rings are definitely not a must, but the burgers are.

One of the best burgers I have ever had. The meat was juicy, and all of the ingredients were extremely fresh. I ordered the What i absolutely loved the most was that the restaurant didn't smell of grease and oil, despite it being an open kitchen. It was very fresh smelling! Will be coming back for my next trip, for sure.

My favourite burger joint in Montreal. Friendly staff, nice cozy atmosphere with awesome artwork on the walls. Fresh ground burgers with a taste that leaves you wanting more. The staff is incredibly accommodating for customizing to the point that I've been able to get curds on the burger instead of regular sliced cheese (seriously recommended!)

This place is AMAZING!!! This was our first stop once arriving from the airport, I ordered the Pulp Fiction Burger with added friend egg, medium well to cook. The meal came with fries and a side salad that was also delicious!! Surprisingly the for a burger there meal was actually light and didn't sit heavy after consuming. The entire meal was AWESOME; so good I returned on my last night in town to order the poutine with fried chicken!! It was 🔥🔥🔥... One of the best poutine dishes I've EVER had!!

The food was truly amazing. Especially the Burger. I got the big O 6oz medium raw and it truly had amazing, rich and intense flavors not too big or excessive. The pulled pork and Jack Daniels poutine was really good, but if you are going there you are better off with a burger. And finally i had the chocolate chip cookie and ice cream dessert. The presentation was amazing, its is served in a sizlling hot pan with melting ice cream on top. It was amazingly good. A full meal costed me 25$ plus tip BUT i splited the poutine and cookies with a friend. So id say for around 30$ you will leave full and satisfied. They know how to make burgers.

The veggie burger is really bad. The patty was really soft and has no texture at all, making the bun soggy too. But the meal was saved by the onion rings and Mac and cheese. The onion rings are crunchy outside and the thick cut makes it very good. Mac and cheese is big for its price. It's a bit salty, but very cheesy and lots of ingredients inside. P.S: something you MUST try is their hot cookies. It's hot and cold at the same time, just so yummy :)

I have passed by here so many times, but had never tried it before. I had high expectations as it's a burger restaurant. First of all, the price $15 for 6oz burger. (With bacon, cheese, mushrooms, caramelized onions) It's $3 cheaper if you'd like to get 3oz one. No side dishes included in this price. Bread was not fresh. It was falling apart after couple bites. Most importantly the meat didn't hold itself up and was crumbling after 2 bites. The only good thing was the condiments inside the burger. They were well done. If I'm going to pay $24 (tax + tip in) for burger + fries I expect higher quality. Won't go back. P.s. Vice Versa and many bars have better burgers 🍔
