I would like to begin with my rating on the food. I have eaten their food twice, both times a regular cheese burger with fries, and both times it has been excellent. The burgers were cooked well (no red), their fries were soft but crispy, and overall I would give them 5 stars on their food. The service however is what stopping me from giving them the full five stars. Most of the employees there, I have seen three now, are decent; they are respectful and courteous. However one employee has completely tarnished their reputation, in my opinion. Unfortunately I do not know his name, but he is rude, disrespectful, not lenient with time or condiments, and generally looks like he hates his job. I actually have been at Burger Stevens 3 times, but the first time I went, I arrived at 4:00 exactly (I have a job believe it or not) and as I was running (yes running) to the food cart to see what is all the hype about before they close, this employee mercilessly closed the food cart on me. After I asked him if they could put in one last order, he looked through me and robotically said this store is closed and continued to close the window on my face. Did you even want business in the first place? The second time, I left work early to get there before it closed and I was served my first burger by this same gentleman. Alright, how can he mess up my experience with just receiving the food? Well the burger was shoved into my face and he was about to close the window on me looking like he needed to make burgers quick quick quick (keep in mind they only had one other customer waiting) when I stopped him and asked him for a side of mayo. he glared at me for a quick second and than proceeded to slowly put one packet of mayo in the bag. My second time going there, the lady quickly put in a couple and had me on my way. I asked him, could I get two or three? To that, he almost scared me. Three?? You want three mayo packets??? I told me two could work and he put one more in and shoved the bag in my face once more and closed the window. I'm sorry, but you don't question a customer's requests, especially when the packets are free. This same man also closes the window prematurely and, again, on somebody's face. While I was waiting for my burger, this employee ran out at 3:58, keep in mind that this is usually how long it takes for somebody to order, on somebody that was waiting in line. With the numerous food carts I have eaten at, many of them at least let the people in line who have been waiting before closing time to order. Why do you want to leave so badly? Is it because you do not like working there? Obviously few people love their job, but you should like it enough that it doesn't strongly affect your customers experience. Unbelievable. Overall, I will keep coming and coming again for the food, but please, consider the quality of your service.
