Best Boozy Milkshakes and Ice Cream in NC | Eater Carolinas

"This gourmet burger bar serves up burgers, sandwiches (fried chicken craving, anyone?) salads (sweet-tea-brined chicken included), and a diverse array of adult milkshakes to pair. Plus: This establishment has a futuristic military theme, with burger names like Hell in the Pacific and Alex the Great. Boozy shake to try: The Illuminati, with vanilla custard, whipped vodka, Bailey’s salted caramel, cookie dough, and Oreos. Don’t forget to upgrade to the “full metal jacket” frosted and candied rim with a dessert topping for $3 – that adds a brownie to the mountain of ice cream already in front of you." - Katie Toussaint

The burgers are pretty good and the prices aren’t too out there. If you have a normal appetite, you’d likely be full with a burger, drink, and a side. I like the different ounces and the variety of meat that they provide. My favorite burger at the moment has to be Hell in the Pacific because of the sweet sauce and the slight heat. However, it could be spicier. I also recommend the strawberry shortcake shake because it’s not too sweet and doesn’t feel like a sugar overload like most shakes. It’s a good place to go to when it’s not busy because if it is, it takes a while for your server and food to come out. My dine in time could’ve been maybe 45-60 minutes but instead it was 1.5 hours and I had to go get someone to take out order 35 minutes in.

We really loved the environment. It's kid friendly and welcoming for any group. Kids are able to get inside of the vehicle far end of the bar. The food was delicious and a children's menu is available. We waited about 35 minutes for our food. Other tables that were seated when we arrived seem to have waited a while also. We put the children's food in prior to ordering our food and let the server know we wanted their food out as soon as possible. The children received their food 10 minutes before we did. The burgers were great and original. I would definitely return, the food and environment are great.

Google
The food and service were excellent! We loved the burgers and sweet potato fries! The milkshakes are thick and tasty, but the cookie dough shake is not cookie dough. It tastes like cookie crumbs from cooked cookies. It's okay, just not cookie dough. The atmosphere is super cool! But, the prices are high.

My family and I were in the mood for burgers and my hubby saw this place come up on a google search. How can you go wrong when "Burger" is literally in the name? Pulling up, you're immediately greeted by a giant robot out front and what looked to be a warning on the door about real sounds being played inside the restaurant of what sounds like battle noise from war. All of a sudden, the name had started to make sense to me. Along with apocalyptic robot decor and bullet holes throughout the restaurant, this place was immediately attractive to our two-year-old who enjoyed pointing out all the details to us. The staff even animated one of the robots to talk to her while she was admiring one of them. It both startled and intrigued her while giving us a good laugh and major parent goodie points. Beyond coloring items, this is a plus for the kiddos! My hubby ordered the jalapeno-styled burger while I got "the standard". Neither burgers were particularly stand-out compared to other burger joints we've had in the triad, but they weren't bad either. They were a bit dry and the toppings didn't do much to salvage that. Additionally, I'm almost sure the mac and cheese side was a box of Kraft. Otherwise, overall we enjoyed our experience here and would recommend it based on that if anything. Very family-friendly!

Google
First of all, the decor is awesome! I've only been there twice, but the service is great, the beers are cold AND the burgers are fantastic! Not only do they have a large selection, but you can choose from 6 or more sides, as well as what size burger you would like, 1/4, 1/2 or 2/3lb. burger. Worth the trip!!

Google
Went for a late lunch. Had eaten here a few years ago & it was blah food so we had not been back. Our daughter wanted to go so we did. Soooo much better! It was nice that it wasn't crowded being mid afternoon. The waitress was friendly & attentive, the food was great, & it was clean inside. We both had burgers & fries & we both enjoyed them. The fried pickles were great too. The food was fast and hot. We paid using a QR code on the receipt which felt weird, but they did acknowledge us as we were leaving. We will definitely go back again.

Google
This was a fantastic find for me - as one with Celiac disease, I really appreciate a solid Gluten Free menu. Not only do they have GF buns, but they have onion rings battered in rice flour - it's been ages since I've had onion rings! What a treat.

Angeline H.

Google
Dined in. Several staff members interacted with us and were very friendly and knowledge of gf options. The atmosphere is cool and clean! My food was perfection! Really a gem!

Yelp
I was really curious to see how the interior of this restaurant was, and I really really liked what I saw. It's exactly what it sounds like...Warfare. They have tanks and missiles and everything you can think off replicated inside, and it'd be a great experience if you are going with kids. In terms of food its pretty much all bar food. We did go betweeb lunch and dinner rush so the service was a bit slow and it took a bit to get our food, but the server was helpful and apologetic of the fact so no harm done.

Yelp
I really liked the portion size of the burger and fries. We had ordered pretzel bites along and they were pretty nice too, especially when paired with the cheesy sauce it comes with. I'd love to try other burgers from this place. P.S. for some reason I am unable to add the burger's photo, but we did have one

Yelp
It's just fun! And the food's good. I've hosted quite a few work lunches here (easy central spot for Raleigh, Charlotte, and Piedmont folks to meet) and they're always great. Last week we had another enjoyable experience for a small work group. The food was on point, service quick and kind, easy parking, and a memorable spot.

Yelp
I've heard good things about this place but not this time. The kids running the front are rude and more interested in their own conversations than paying attention to guests. We actually got chastised by a kid working the front for moving a table. She claimed it was a "fire hazard" (there was a 5' walkway after we moved the table) NOT a Fire Hazard. Food was not anything I'd walk across a street for. Dry burger that was over cooked. Pickle chips - from a chefs perspective it cost about 20 cents to fry pickles. Why in the world would you charge so much for so little. Skip the fried pickles. Salty and skimpy. We literally got 18 pickles. Onion rings were fried so hard they had no onion left inside. Only onion shaped incinerated pieces. Again good cost on an onion is so minimal it's ridiculous that appetizers are too small to share. I'll be back. I'll always try a place again and change my review if it's good. Train your staff. It's called customer service.

Yelp
It's a hit or miss when it comes to their food. The first time I went there it was great but the second time I went there the year or two later it wasn't.

Yelp
We got Burger Warfare delivery to Pig Pounder and I was pleasantly surprised with how quick and how good the food was being that it was delivered and not eaten at the restaurant. The food was still good and Tots crispy upon arrival! They offer free delivery to Pig Pounder which is super convenient!

Yelp
There's just something about this place that strikes me as average. Can't put my finger on it. Oh wait, it's the burgers. Burger Warfare claims to be a gourmet burger bar. They do have some interesting combinations of toppings that keeps me intrigued, but for some reason, every time I go,I leave slightly disappointed. Maybe it's the hype. I do love the futuristic military theme. The dining area is always clean, and the service is (has been) always great. But, when reviewing a restaurant, the scale always weighs in favor of the food. Maybe it's because everything is so greasy. Don't get me wrong, I love a juicy burger! BW just seems a little heavy on oil. Maybe next time I'll just get one of their salads. They do offer "homemade" custard. Do they make it at their home, and bring it in? In addition to custard, they have milkshakes (some alcoholic milkshakes), an assortment of sides, and even craft beer. Don't take my word for it, try this place out, and let me know what you think. Maybe I'll order what you get next time.

Yelp
Had been here for a while, so I stopped by and picked up an order to go consisting of a Cobb Salad (yes they have one, and it is well sized), a 1/4 lb Carolina Dog, The Battleground Burger, and a Fried Chicken Sandwich. The hot dog and the Battleground burger were ok, but the chili is not a favorite of mine - a bit sweet with little, if any, kick. The fried Chicken "burger" was excellent, nicely cooked, with a great taste. The Cobb Salad was a great version of this classic full meal salad, and as I said, it has a nice size to it. The Onion Rings that I ordered with the hot dog, were excellent, as well. Some good items, I'll try them again!

Yelp
Burger selection was sad. Bland burger. Onion rings were great, great waitstaff and hostesses.

Yelp
This is my final installment of reviewing places that specialize in burgers and have the word burger in their name. Burger Warfare has one of the most unique settings you find in a restaurant outside of a theme park. The setting is an apocalyptic and war-torn world where gigantic robots are fighting over, well, something. I think I heard one of them demand my tater tots. Burger Warfare used military surplus equipment to construct some of the seating and decor. It felt something like eating at a restaurant in Disney World. (Don't even think of coming after me, Disney nation. I said it was "something like", not just like. They are not even close to capturing the details of Disney, which is what sets them apart from all other parks. It was merely reminiscent of it.) As for the burgers, they are very good. They have several creations to choose from. You also have a choice of a single 1/3 lb patty or a double--two 1/3 lb patties. Both times I went I ordered the "Standard Issue" which is essentially a bacon cheeseburger. Both times it was excellent; however, like several other places I've been, they overcook medium--it was at least medium well. I saw an old menu on Yelp that indicated that BW used to have a half pound option. I think that would be perfect. The single 1/3 pound patty is just a little small for the bun. The double is great but may be a bit much for some. On one visit I had fries and on the other I had tots. The fries were fine, but the tots were outstanding. Tater tots can be a risky proposition as they can sometimes be greasy, but these were delightfully crispy and perfectly done. Service was cheerful and accommodating on both visits. Bottom line: You can add Burger Warfare to your list of go-to burger joints.

Yelp
This place is awesome! The decor is super interesting and different from anything you've ever seen. That's probably what go me through the door in the first place. It's a couple little things that made me give it only 4 stars. There's this massive wall in the middle of the restaurant that kind of separates the place in two. I got sat in a dark corner hidden behind the wall. It was very strange. Also, I ordered the tots for my side and they were very soft, dense, and over salted. But I tasted my friend's fries and they were great. So maybe I just need a different side. I ordered "the beast" but with a turkey patty and it was so good! I finished the entire thing!
google avatar

Yelp
AMAZING place! Great food options for gluten free & non gluten as well. The staff is FANTASTIC! The staff is very cautious about food allergies. The waiter Yesenia AWESOME! She remembers her customers & even remembers my order. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place for GREAT food & service!

Yelp
I went to eat at Burger Warfare after the movies last night. I'm pescatarian so I thought it would be cool to finally try a meat substitution, I chose the black bean burger... it was a fail lol it was very mushy but the waited and manager explain led that they are trying to figure out how to make the burger patty like other black bean burgers. ANYWAYS, they changed my order to a Cobb salad with no problem which was pretty good (a little too cold for my liking but overall a good salad. I looked on yelp before coming in and I saw a free tanglefoot appetizer, which was great! We got the tanglefoot onion rings (a small is enough to share, believe me). My boyfriend got 1/2 pound "The Beast" burger and he gave it 5 stars lol And the tots were amazing!

Yelp
First time here, best burger ive ever had! Service was great! Milkshakes were awesome Nothing fancy, hole in the wall place, but great food and service I'll definitely go back!

Yelp
First, the restaurant is so uniquely decorated and I love the atmosphere. The chairs are interesting to sit in and the battleship is cool. My server was super sweet and made sure I was well taken care of. I had ordered takeout here before and really liked it, so when I came and saw the full menu I was blown away by the options. Everything sounded so good, so I wanted to try a bunch of stuff. I got the the Bang Bang burger, 6 piece wings with Szcheuan Honey, and the Hellcat milkshake. All my food was fresh and hot. My burger was cooked perfectly, the tots were super crispy, the wings were delicious, and my milkshake was huge. I knew it came with a cinnamon roll but not that big Either way, everything was a 10/10 and I'll definitely be back

Yelp
If I'm in the mood for an instagrammable dessert this is the place to go. Their Illuminati (yes, that's really the name lol) shake for me with rum is a must (and for anyone that likes cookies and cream and alcohol), it comes with a good ole Oreo rim around the glass and a brookie on top. So definitely come in with an empty stomach because the glass milkshake is HUGEEEE! Also a perk/plus that this place has is they have a gluten-free/celiac friendly menu. My mom is celiac and for her the one thing she misses the most are fried foods. Here, she can get a chicken strip tray without feeling sick or getting sick after. For me just knowing that my mom can still have a fried food when going out is enough for me to give this place five stars.

John L.

Yelp
Love this place. Amazing decor, friendly staff and great food! Need I say more? This place is a must stop if your in the area!
google avatar

Marie R.

Yelp
I stopped in for lunch today and had a 1/3 pound burger with cheese, lettuce, onion and their special sauce. The burger was juicy and the cheese was perfectly melted on top of the burger. I had a side of fries with it and I'm not a huge fan of their fries but they do give you a large portion of them so it is a good value. The decor is very interesting with it being a war/military themed restaurant with a Humvee and a few robots that talk. The bartender was very friendly and so was the manager.

Yelp
This place was surprisingly good. We decided to stop by since it was unique and fun. The atmosphere was really cool, I loved the tables made of bullets, and the metal bots. The walls also looked like bombs or bullet holes and that was really cool. Our waitress was kinda rude at first and I don't know what changed but then she ended up being really nice in the end and giving us good advice on things to do and enjoy in Greensboro. The food was really good. My bang bang burger was delicious. I love greasy cheeseburgers personally so all the grease was good for me. Most places with pimento cheeseburgers skimp you on the pimento cheese but not this place. My husbands burger was also amazing. The only negatives we had was that my fries came out rock hard- but they were quick to make me a new batch and the milkshakes were pretty soupy when she handed them to us. Over all though awesome experience.

Yelp
Welp, we finally did it. #SuperHubs and I took the whole fam out to supper and decided to try a new place instead of the same-old, same-old. (Don't judge. It gets expensive taking 4 teenagers out to eat!) Once we decided on this place, though, there was no getting out of it. And, gotta say, I'm glad we went. The decor is a little odd for my taste, but it's a theme and pretty much matches the menu, so no biggie. Plus, according to my 13 y/o, bots are in. Lol. The staff was gracious and kind upon arrival like they were anticipating our entrance. Lol. Wait staff was great also! Our waiter kept callin' us 'Family', which I dig a-lot! The food was absolutely worth takin' another trip for. Burgers all around just the way we wanted 'em, but unfortunately, I spazzed and forgot to take pics of them. Our app, however-- the mech tots-- were the bomb dot com! Those, I did take a pic of. How could I not? All in all, food was delish, service was excellent, cleanliness was superb. Definitely going back.

Yelp
Came with my Bestfriend. Waitress didn't seem too busy, took a while to come great, bring drinks. Food came at an okay time and tasted great! Waited for a while for her to come back again to order another drink and milkshakes, noticed her standing right near us on a phone call.. Also when she brought the food a fry fell off. She picked it up with her bare hands and threw it back on top of our pile of fries. Will not be back... Sorry /:

Yelp
This is an review for the take out option. I don't enjoy communal seating so I have never gone into the restaurant. So I am not sure how they are addressing covid. We got two burgers and two sides. The bang bang burger and the peace keeper (beyond meat) and they were delicious! Loving this trend of more places offering beyond meat. Everything was cooked well and packaged nicely. Food arrived hot and the order was 100% correct. The only negative I have about the food is I don't like the type of onion rings they have, they are similar to Bites and Pints. Skinny and lightly breaded, I'm just not a fan. My husband enjoyed them though so I won't take any stars away for that.
google avatar

Yelp
Dope decor, and the food was delicious! Everything tasted fresh. The sauces were really good! Milkshakes were amazing!
google avatar

Yelp
Yelp is your friend people! Found this place while looking for a good burger. First thing to notice is the robot/mech warrior out front. The kids loved the futuristic battle scenery and the cool tables. The staff adheres to COVID guidelines. We ordered cheese curds for the table as an app. These were better than any we've had in the region. Light batter and not greasy. The entire party ordered burgers. Every single burger came out cooked to perfection and extremely juicy. These burgers were thick, huge, and tasty. The mushroom burger was on point, as were all the other burgers. The staff was very attentive with multiple team members checking in on us. Great environment and wonderful staff!
google avatar

Yelp
crackin. They have a meat replacement option which was cool for me since I don't eat red meat. Get the tots too with some of their special sauce
google avatar

Yelp
Food is mid, kinda expensive for something I can make at home. I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant itself though! 6/10

Yelp
We used to love the burgers and fried onion strings here. Then things change. The 1/3 lb. Burgers were great quality meat, great seasoning and the fried onion "tangles" were stupendous! Worth recommending to others. Things change. Now burgers are 1/4 lb, meat quality just not there now, maybe frozen (?), the onion rings are typical big thick over breaded rings like you would expect at Burger King. Oh well, things change. Several of us have surmised that they must be headed out of business. Maybe something good will open in its place. Sad to see a good thing go to seed. PS... check out that awesome 94 health rating.

Yelp
Went to BW yesterday, when we are out of town, we avoid the chains if possible and all things we can get in our town. We had 3 kids and 4 adults. The food was spot on, the service was great and prices were reasonable. We all left and said "we would go back".

Yelp
First time here and I loved it! Thale first call Burger is a must have. I love milkshakes so their shortcake milkshake was fantastic!

Yelp
We ordered takeout after seeing their instagram posts. The cheese curds were terrible- way over fried and the cheese was out of the batter- probably the worst cheese curds I've had :( burgers were soooo disappointing. They didn't ask how we wanted them cooked which was a tip off to me they were using frozen patties. They tasted like concession stand hamburgers. Way overpriced for what it is. Hops is waaaaay better. I was going to use my free onion ring with check in and was told sorry we are all out???? Weird. Never coming back and do not recommend!

Jaxon D.

Yelp
The food is amazing don't get me wrong BUT, we had got to the restaurant at about 1:00 and a waiter didn't get to us until 1:10 we then ordered and our drinks and they had got to us around 1:14 our food wasn't given to us until 2:15 - 2:19 the food was a little cold by the time we had received it. Everything was fine except for the slight coolness to the food like just stated. But the waitresses take forever. If your willing to wait a while for good food then go for it. But if you need food fast then I'd recommended somewhere elsewhere.

Yelp
3 stars for the burger +1 for the shake= 4 stars WARNING: Do not attempt to chug a shake upon exiting! You will spend the next 30 minutes wondering "Why did I just do that?!?!" Here's the story: I went to burger warfare with a group of friends. The service was very prompt. Our waitress asked us if we would like some appetizers and went into detail about each one. I was a little disappointed she failed to mention the alcoholic shakes I had heard raves about! I ordered the basic training shake (seasonal pumpkin shake) and the Eggstraction Pt. Sriracha burger with bot tots. After ordering, I waited anxiously for my shake, but to my disappointment, it came out 10 minutes AFTER my burger. Maybe this was strategic, because if I had seen the how big the shake was first, I may have gone for a lighter meal, but I've never heard of having food without a drink, not even water! Even though I had to wait, the shake was well worth it and met all of my expectations. DELICIOUS!!! Now for the burger.. It was good, but I felt like it was missing something. Maybe there wasn't enough Sriracha mayo?!? Or maybe it needed a hint of their sigature warfare sauce on it which is very good. Back to my fantastic shake.... Since it came out after my burger, I did not have enough time to finish it with my meal. When it was time to leave, I realized I still had half a shake! I couldn't bare to leave it, so I chugged it. I had brain freeze and an extra full tummy for the next 30 minutes...big mistake... But I would do it again in a heart beat because it was just that good!

Yelp
I love to eat at Burger Warfare for their gluten free chicken tenders and onion rings!!! The only restaurant I can get that due to having Celiac. Their chicken tenders are like regular fried chicken....my husband will sometimes get a burger with the gluten free buns and brags how good they are! One more thing don't forget the gluten free fries also, best of anywhere! The staff is very friendly and helpful!!! Love eating there! Bnki

Yelp
Extremely satisfied and happy we came to this restaurant to eat for lunch. The place looks cool with giant robots. It looks post apocalyptic warfare kind of mechanical look. The food is awesome! I am pretty confident anything you get on this menu is going to be delicious definitely worth every dollar spent! Make sure you stop by to eat just because for any occasion. I recommend it to anyone, and I promise you won't regret it.

Yelp
We wanted to check out a new place. Our initial impression was positive with the unique decor. Once we sat down and ordered the experience went downhill. There were 4 in our party. The first 3 people were served about 5 min apart. My wife was not provided any silverware and we had to ask. When my food arrived, they gave me a plastic fork only and informed me they were out of silverware. Finally after my oldest son's food arrived we asked about the hot dog for my younger son. The server had no idea what we were talking about. After rushing to cook it the hotdog was still cold in the middle. We just wanted our bill at that time. The manager at first didn't charge us for the hot dog but left everything else on the bill. We shared our disappointment and he asked us what we wanted. Ultimately he did not ask us to pay for anything. Nice people just a really bad experience.

Yelp
3.5 stars Much like its nearly-adjacent sister restaurant (The Marshall Free House), Burger Warfare follows a familiar template for Kotis-owned properties: find a theme, go all-out on décor, inject some craft beers and a few unique food offerings, and jack up the prices. While the latter point is (understandably) a deal-breaker for some, I've found the overall experience to be worthwhile, and Burger Warfare is no exception. How likely you are to agree with that assessment depends partially on how much you appreciate the dedication to theme. If the giant robot statue outside didn't convince you, this place ain't subtle. There are more robots on the inside, bullets inlaid on the bar counters, and servers clad in camo. While no one would confuse this with elegance, it is nevertheless a look that stands out. Try it if you want a change of pace. Of course, aesthetics is only one part of the battle plan here. The menu isn't particularly deep (only three sandwiches and two salads), but what it lacks in depth it makes up for in intrigue. You can build your own burger here, but the preset options are fairly compelling - they make use of everything from chorizo to portabella to brie. Ditto the drinks: booze-laden milkshakes are a house specialty, and brews from Pig Pounder across the street are readily available. For my first visit, I went with the Eggstraction Pt. Siracha: a cheeseburger with onions, chorizo, and an over-easy egg. The burger was a bit of a mess to eat (as well it should be), and the flavors melded nicely. The Warfare Sauce that accompanied my fries was another zesty hit. The meat itself, however, doesn't compare to Greensboro's best. They do two thin patties here, and while it certainly outclasses Steak n Shake, let's just say that it's no Hops. My companion, on the other hand, seemed satisfied with her Black Ops: an Asian twist on a black bean patty. Moreover, the adult shake that we split - the Daniel Boone (vanilla with apple pie moonshine and caramel) - was a winning pick. Our server, Victoria, was quite friendly, and our food arrived from the kitchen quickly. Both of these made the price paid more palatable. Burgers (with one side) fall in the $8 to $10 range while the alcoholic shakes are $8. These rates aren't casus belli, but better values do exist elsewhere. Had I been here when the establishment was more crowded, I may have left with a decidedly less favorable impression. However, my first visit leaves me to conclude that while Burger Warfare may not win the battle for best burger in town, it can still wage a successful campaign for diners' dollars.

Yelp
SO GOOD!! I highly suggest coming here. The food and service is incredible. Karla did an amazing job taking care of us! Food came fast, we were in n out within an hour- all around a great time! Ill definitely be coming back soon.

Yelp
Order the pimento cheese dip hot. It's delicious and the pita chips are awesome. Checked in on Yelp and got the free onion strings. They were extremely salty - which I love but for some at the table it was a little much. I ordered the old glory with the grilled chicken and fries and was not impressed. My husband enjoyed his burger - the beast but he didn't really seem to want to go back anytime soon.

Yelp
This is about the #3 burger in Greensboro. #1 Hops #2 Emma Key's. This is #3. Big Burger Spot is probably #4. It can improve to be sure but it's very good. 12:03 I walk in the door 12:03.5 I am greeted and seated 12:04 Bartender/Waiter comes over to take my drink order, present menu and ask if I have any questions. 12:04 Informed out of ESP (Extra Special Pig from their home brewery, Pig Pounder) 12:06 My Plain Pig arrives 12:07 Advised to order the Cuban Missile Crisis (2 patties with chorizo stuffed in between, topped with fried onion sticks on a regular roll); side of fried string beans-yes you read that right--FRIED STRING BEANS. 12:08 Drink beer, take pictures 12:14 food arrives, take more pictures 12:15 take first bite: burgers cooked perfect medium rare with chorizo cooked full-nice. Juice is everywhere. Enjoying mouth feel (I said mouth feel-inspired by Brooklyn 99 okay?) and flavor but fee it is missing something. 12:16 take first bite of fried string bean with side of poblano ranch dressing-MY WORLD WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!!! Okay so they are in no way healthy and they follow the "FRIED OKRA RULE." Okra becomes palatable fried. Well I like string beans--but batter and fry them? I may NEVER order French Fries again-unless they don't have fried string beans...oh and the poblano ranch? Amazing. 12:22 finish burger 12:24 stop eating fried string beans (reconsider my whole life up until this moment) 12:26 finish beer and water and get the check. So it's decorated surprisingly subtly with camo, ammo and bullet holes. Okay spent shells make an incredible bar and officers' table. Not much other seating in main room but some to the side. Grateful Dead and other good music plays on the loud speakers inside and out. Very courteous staff. So to the burger-they asked my thoughts--it needs BBQ Sauce or some tomato based sauce. It's good but no finished. Also, since they call it the Cuban Missile Crisis, I would have liked a twist on a Cuban Sandwich in the form of a burger. This will be a success. Not sure if the drive through is open and plan to try the alcohol shakes soon. Over staffed (you can see people ghosting each other). Recognized some faces from Marshall Freehouse (Management) and maybe a few from Darryl's. Solid 4 stars with room to go up. Total bill was $15.78 for a burger with choice of fries and a beer. I'll be back with the wife and boy!

Yelp
I actually cannot review the food because we didn't get a chance to eat there. We sat for about 20 min waiting for our server and looking to see if we could flag someone down. Maybe it was the time we went, maybe it was the server, either way we left after 20 min (I timed it by looking at the time my dad received a phone call as we sat down). When we left the hostess just said "bye. Have a nice day." I mentioned we had been waiting and she said "ok. Have a good day"... I don't know if I want to come back.

Yelp
My daughter and boyfriend go here often and have recommended it to me. I ordered curbside service and arrived within 15 minutes. I waited 20 minutes and finally called the restaurant asking about my order. They brought it out. The food was stone cold. We had cheese curds, a burger, and onion strings. What is the point of curbside service if you don't attend to it? The food was decent cold but for the price I'd appreciate it being fresh.

Yelp
Very good burger. Fries are amazing! Wait took a bit since it appears everything is made to order. Will come again if back this way.

Yelp
The theme of this place is second to none, lots of thought went into it, inside and out. Here's where I start to have issues... the place isn't huge. I'm gonna guess that it seats 50. On a Saturday night we had 5 hostesses standing around the seating chart. Meanwhile, 4+ tables remained empty for 10 minutes while we waited with nobody in front of us. Once finally sat, only one of us were given silverware. We had the onion rings, the shareable size is basically enough to cater a wedding (it's enormous, seriously). I built a turkey burger, delicious, the other two people in my party got a fancy burger, Both great no complaints. While the food was wonderful, it took forever to come out and at only 80% capacity on a Saturday night with 5 hosts, what's the hold up? I didn't quite understand the dynamic of the staffing. I'd try it again but maybe nix 2 hosts and hire another cook?

Yelp
Great new place! I enjoyed the double burger with a fried egg on top and Siracha mayonnaise. I liked the shoestring fried potatoes and sweet potato fries. As an appetizer: The fried string beans were crunchy and nicely seasoned. After dinner I had the spiked milkshake. I would like a little more alcohol in it but it had a great flavor...very creamy. I definitely overdid it this night but we did start out with some nice local beers. I suggest trying the ESP....extra special pig. All of the beers on draft are great. It's a great place to stop in before the movies or when you just feel like a nice greasy burger with great flavor.

Yelp
So my coworkers and I were in Greensboro yesterday for a state certification exam and decided made the decision to find a burger place with the help of yelp, and this is where we ended up. The 5 of us arrived as the restaurant was opening and we were the only customers in the place, but that changed by the time we were leaving-it was packed! I again checked yelp and was glad to see the free appetizer that was listed-me and 4 guys eating lunch I decided to check in and ask our server about it not even knowing what they meant by the title of the appetizer being offered-"Tanglefoot Rings." Our server, Joey, informed me that they were a type of onion rings-and they were served with some sort of in house sauce that we devoured! Everyone in the group seemed very happy with their meals! I don't recall the official name of the burger I had, but it was a lamb and beef patty on pita bread w taziki sauce and it was really good! Each burger came with a side and I chose the sweet tots, and wow, they were fantastic and the portions were more than I could eat in one sitting! Joey, our server, was attentive. He kept our water glasses full and even brought out a couple of samples of other in house sauces that they make for the fries and tots that each of us had ordered. He was also great about dividing our bills up and fielding my questions about the redemption of the free appetizer. The other thing worth mentioning is the decor of the restaurant! The military theme was carried thru in very aspect-outside and inside statues, camo paint, servers/staff in some sort of camp attire, a catchy menu with military terms to describe the food, right down to the pink camo hand dryer in the ladies room! Thank you for an outstanding experience, I WILL make it a point to stop here any time I am in the Greensboro area!!

Yelp
The only reason we stayed was because our grandson loved the robots. Food was gross and service was horrible! Our food arrived and our grandsons order was wrong. He ordered a cheeseburger but received chicken tenders, which he won't eat. We told the waitress to put his cheeseburger at the front of the line so he wouldn't have to wait. 15 minutes later he finally got his food. The waitress never checked on us again! Really??!!! He's 3 and was completely over it by the time he got food.

Yelp
This is one of the coolest designed restaurants I've been to. The atmosphere and design are my favorite things about this place. The burgers were great, and i highly recommend getting the tater tots!

Yelp
We ordered take out the other night and by the time we got home the burgers were still warm and sides were hot. We made a slight customization and that was what we got. We had the bang bang burgers, I think. Very flavorful. I love their sweet potato fries because they are thicker and the tots were good too. Both burgers came with a sauce which I think was for the sides. Not sure what it was but it was good too.
