During a busy week I was looking for a quick meal. That is not what I got here. I should have ordered ahead, but that is all hindsight now. When I showed up it was after the lunch rush which I thought would have equated into me getting in and out quickly, but nope.
I know this is a direct competitor to Shake Shack and almost like one of them is a carbon copy of the other. It's almost exactly the same menu with a few variations. I came in and got myself a Breakfast All-Day Burger, Cry + Fry, and a fountain drink.
Ordering and paying was fairly quick, but I ended up waiting for it to be prepared. I shouldn't be complaining about this as it meant my food was freshly made, but I ended up being late reporting back to work this day. Good thing was that work was just a block or two up.
Order was finally ready and I high stepped it back to work. When I finally was able to dig into the meal, I was pleased as it served the purpose of me getting to eat. The burger was filling on it's own. I mean with the combination of toppings it really is just a meal in your hand. To accompany the burger patty you get bacon, cheese, egg, hash brown, grilled onion, ketchup and maple syrup. See what I mean by a meal in your hand. Then to have the onion rings and fries on the side, I felt plump after it.
How does it compare to their competitor? Same but different. The extra toppings they have for burgers makes it better and onion rings is a nice deviation. Price wise, they are in the same ballpark.
Moral of the story, order ahead, review the menu, sit back and enjoy.
